Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Staff team is awesome. Anything you needed they were willing to do for the guest. Food from their kitchen is excellent and available from 7 am to 9 pm. The kindness of owner with beautiful Assamese hospitality and attention in check out. Perfect for a business or tourist stay centrally located. City center 10 minutes walk as well as the zoo and food options. This is my choice 10 of 10
A little smoke residue in the room but just cleaning of AC filter will help.

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026Just like home with many places to gather and great food options offered throughout the day. The staff were super helpful and I felt very safe and secure. The neighborhood was quiet and yet still near the main city shops and the zoo. And they have a generator in case of power cuts. Mosquitoes were few and each room had an electric oil and screen in window bathroom.
Like every property I visit cleaning theAC filter means a quiet and more efficient energy for cooler.

The rooms were comfortable and everything was arranged properly. The overall experience was pleasant and the hospitality was good. It is definitely value for money and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay.

Reviewed Nov 14, 2025Far from being a "homestay," Treebo Umal offers facilities and services that would put some 3-star rated hotels to shame! The rooms here are exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. With five rooms on each of two floors, each floor has a comfortable lounge and dining area. Service in this facility is always with a smile, and the personnel here will go out of their way to cater to your requests.
A little maintenance here would really go a long way in boosting the rating of this property. In my room, the fan regulator was defective - working either at full speed, or not at all! The wash basin was cracked - more of an eyesore than anything else. The breakfast menu is fixed as per the day of the week. So, Aloo Paratha with curd is what you will get on Wednesdays - whether you like it or not! 😉 The property is located about 20km from the airport, and with the haphazard traffic of Guwahati, it may take more than an hour to reach there. But overall, my one-night stay was comfortable.

Comfort, not great & powerful ceiling fan that wouldn't slow down, even on it's lowest setting, therefore keeping me awake all night!... Also, according to the web-page, we were allowed to pay upon arriving, but we were quickly sent a Direct email (right after reserving, via booking.com) to say that we had to pay..IN FULL, before we arrived..(which is not really fair, as I decided to cut our stay short..because of lack of sleep..& received no refund, either !)
