מלון ברמה גבוהה במיקום מעולה. יושב על הנהר וממש קרוב לרכבת העילית. יש שטלים לסירה לקניון IconSiam שנמצא ממש מעבר לנהר ממול למלון. המלון נקי, מסודר ומפנק מאוד.

דברים קטנים כמו למשל: קשה להבין איך התאורה עובדת בחדר. ואין נקודות חשמל ליד המיטה . בכניסה למלון יש גלאי רנטגן ואם באים עם תיק גב צריך לעבור שיקוף. המלצה למי שמחפש שקט - החדרים שפונים לעיר שקטים יותר מאלו עם הנוף לנהר.

De locatie is echt top. Het hotel ligt naast Sathorn Pier, waar veel openbaarvervoerboten en toeristenboten stoppen. Hierdoor kunnen we, zelfs tijdens de spits, zonder in de grote files van Bangkok terecht te komen, per boot gemakkelijk plekken bereiken zoals ICONSIAM, Chinatown en zelfs Khao San Road. Daarnaast zijn er voldoende eetgelegenheden en winkels in de buurt voor een snelle hap of om wat boodschappen te doen. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en het personeel is erg vriendelijk. Het hotel voldoet volledig aan onze verwachtingen van de service die we van Shangri-La gewend zijn. Het hotel is niet gloednieuw, maar de faciliteiten zien er goed uit en zijn goed onderhouden.

quando arrivi dopo un viaggio intercontinentale, ed entri nella lobby di questo hotel, capisci che ne è valsa la pena. il personale è estremamente cordiale, le camere meravigliose, consiglio quella con la vista sul fiume, la sera è qualcosa di stupendo. la piscina sul fiume è davvero bellissima , e la colazione super abbondante , per ogni gusto.

We loved this elegant hotel for its great location on the beautiful River, its fantastic breakfasts and helpful, courteous staff whose service is as above and beyond!

The view from the room (river view room), the breakfast buffet, unusually large bed and comfy bed linen, the large bathroom, good shower.

Having to walk across approx 10 minutes to the main hotel wing for breakfast. Felt like we were in a different hotel (Krungthep wing) to the main wing of Shangri-La. All restaurants shut by 11pm and only room service available after 11pm.

Le mobilier des chambres est vieillot par rapport à un hôtel de ce standing, le personnel n'est pas très accueillant par rapport à tous les autres hôtels que nous avons fait en Thailande. Au moment du check in on m'avait dit que le petit déjeuner était gratuit pour les moins de 12 ans et pourtant nous avons été facturés au moment du check out et la personne à la réception n'a rien voulu entendre.

Rooms were spacious and great shower, also pillows were great and we had balcony. Main pool area is amazing and staff look after the guest, drinks towels etc. Love the river view at night.

Hotel molto bello, con camere eleganti, confortevoli e generalmente molto silenziose. Alcuni ambienti e dettagli delle stanze iniziano però a mostrare un po’ la loro età e meriterebbero un leggero ammodernamento. L’accoglienza è stata impeccabile, il personale sempre molto disponibile e cordiale. La colazione a buffet è varia e ben organizzata, mentre la posizione è molto comoda, soprattutto grazie al battello dell’hotel che permette di raggiungere facilmente IconSiam.

L’unico vero punto negativo, a mio avviso, riguarda le camere con vista fiume. Per quanto la vista sia sicuramente suggestiva, le finestre non sono sufficientemente insonorizzate e il rumore delle barche sul si sente davvero molto...molto forte. Il passaggio delle imbarcazioni è frequente e rumoroso e, soprattutto ai piani più bassi (5/6), può continuare fino alle 3–4 del mattino, rendendo difficile dormire. Anche ai piani più alti, intorno al 21° piano, il rumore è ancora percepibile, seppur decisamente più attenuato. Anche l’aria condizionata è piuttosto rumorosa e potrebbe essere migliorata sotto questo aspetto.Consiglierei però, soprattutto a chi ha il sonno leggero, di evitare le camere con vista fiume e di privilegiare quelle affacciate verso l’interno della struttura. Ma anche lì non garantisco, le finestre non sono insonorizzate

Some of the rooms smelt musty... we were moved and given fruit and chocolates and a handwritten apology for this which was very much appreciated.

Loved the location by the riverside. Riverview rooms had beautiful views of boats and cruise ships, especially at night. Very comfy beds, a shuttle boat service to get you across to IconSiam, efficient and helpful staff. Had a wonderful trip - we'd be happy to stay here again in the future 😊

El hotel es simplemente espectacular un cinco estrellas en toda regla. Cuando llegas al hotel sientes que estás en uno de los hoteles más emblemáticos y espectaculares de Bangkok. Nos han dado una habitación con balcón y unas vistas espectaculares. Nos hemos alojado en la Shangri-La wing, donde estaban los restaurantes y la piscina principal. El Hall, la piscina con sus palmeras,el gimnasio, el restaurante Tailandés al lado de la piscina todo es precioso y hace de este hotel un paraíso en medio de la ciudad de Bangkok. El desayuno en la terraza que da al rio Chao Phraya es una experiencia inolvidable!! La amabilidad del personal es el toque de excelencia que tiene este hotel. Lo recomiendo a todo el mundo por estos motivos y por su excelente ubicación, con la parada del skytrain BTS y el embarcadero justo al lado.

Scortesia all’arrivo, tentativo (in parte purtroppo riuscito) di non assegnarci la stanza richiesta e già prepagata. Davvero ingiustificato. Proposto upgrade di stanza che in realtà era un downgrade in un residence adiacente o in una camera con balcone… volevamo quello per cui avevamo prenotato e non ci è stato dato: king size con vista fiume dal letto, e invece due letti queen size senza vista dal letto. Davvero pessimi.

The stay was lovely. I had my birthday at the Shangri-la Bangkok and when we returned to our room after a day by the pool the management and staff had sent a delicious chocolate cake and card for my birthday. This was so thoughtful. The staff are all very kind and attentive. The breakfast choice is amazing. I highly recommend Shangri-la Bangkok. If I had anything negative it would only be a suggestion- one of the pool areas could be child free. Thank you for a memorable stay.

We were staying in the separate wing called Krungthep wing. I found this was a little bit away from the main area of the hotel. But it did help with our step count each day and we found a great food hall just around the corner.

Bro I’m telling you the air conditioner in room 1333 is broken and we switched rooms, they said the room switch will be done by morning but it was afternoon and it still wasn’t done then after the room switch they forgot the second bed and it was after i was done swimming when they finally delivered the bed. This hotel was supposed to get one star but since the food was delicious and i get to swim i gave it three stars.

If you’ve stayed at other Shangri La hotels, you know what to expect: proper 5 star amenities, excellent service, and a great pool area. Beautifully located by the river, with shuttle boat to the Icon Siam directly from the hotel. Easy access to the BTS train. We opted for a river view room - and we would 100% do the same again. The views were amazing. The property is huge, so I would recommend trying to get a room in the main building of your want easy access to restaurants and pool. However, if easy access to BTS is preferable you could stay at the Krungthep wing - just note that this wing is far away from the main reception and restaurants. If there is anything we were missing, it would be turndown service - which should be mandatory for 5 star hotels. However, we will definitely return for our next trip to Bangkok.

Beliggenheden er perfekt. Tæt på BTS og transport på floden. Også nemt at komme rundt med taxi. Smukt hotel, rigtig fin indretning, god mad, lækkert poolområde, flere restauranter osv. Morgenmaden er god.

Der var ikke noget vi ikke kunne lide. Alt var godt. Der er to pools. Der er gjort mere ud af omgivelserne ved den ene. Men begge er gode og ligger lige ud til floden.

Friendly attentive staff. Great views with a variety of restaurants and bars to choose from. Facilities were lovely with 2 great pool, fitness suite and spa. Beautiful reception decor- felt like a real treat!

The hotel enjoys a perfect location. From the balcony, you can take in a stunning panoramic view of the water, the skyline, and the city lights. Furthermore, the complimentary shuttle boat carries you directly to the shopping malls and back—a truly wonderful touch and a real highlight. The pool, service, and every other detail are equally excellent. I would return in a heartbeat. It is also one of the few hotels left in Bangkok that still offers balconies where smoking is permitted. Thank you so much for everything; we look forward to coming back

I stayed here in early February 2026 and again in March 2026, a pit stop on my way to and from Nha Trang, Vietnam. I really can’t add much to the reviews I read. But I’ll try. I stayed in both wings, the newer Shangri La wing and the older, atmospheric Krungthep wing, which I preferred. The two wings are separated by a long corridor, about a five minute walk for me. It’s a really nice walk with nooks and crannys and interesting side rooms. You know you’re not in Kansas anymore. I was told they will call a golf cart for you if you wish but I always enjoyed the walk. If you want the hotel breakfast, it’s in the Shangri La wing so you’ll have a decent morning walk to get there if you’re not staying in that wing. The Krungthep wing is the antithesis of the modern cookie cutter hotel, with a stunning Thai themed lobby. It’s really big with many nice, deep chairs and sofas so you can read, relax, write a journal and ponder Zeno’s paradox in quiet comfort. Some chairs have a view of the river. I never saw more than a few people at most there and sometimes it was just my favorite person. It’s a very special place. (I should denigrate it a bit as I don’t want to ruin it with a lot of people but I cannot) The newer Shangri La wing is spit and polish modern and is really nice as well. The big lobby also overlooks the river and, unlike the Krungthep lobby, has a bar with drinks served and is much more active but not crowded. You’ll not have it to yourself. It’s really nice but is modern themed as opposed to the Krungthep lobby. All personnel I encountered couldn’t have been more polite, professional looking and acting, readily engaging in conversation and offering assistance, especially those ladies I’d see walking around, greeters maybe, who were so nice, and pulchritudinous as well. I don’t want to mention names as I’ll leave someone out and cause offense. They also have really neat nicknames so guests don’t murder their Thai names in pronunciation. Next time, I should offer to help them with additional nicknames as I’m really good at it. An example of the service was the bellhop in the Krungthep wing. In polite conversation, I asked where I could buy some newspapers to bring back to the good old USA for friends. He advised me to check the local mall but I was unsuccessful there. When I told him of my lack of success, he called someone in the Shangri La wing to bring three newspapers over, which they drove over to us immediately. Gratis. (my favorite price) My goodness! So you’ve got two super-nice but distinct buildings to choose from, a fantastic location on the river near local transit and ferry hubs, and absolutely outstanding personnel who regularly show their teeth (in a friendly manner) and will readily help to make your stay better. I think that covers it. As Arnold says, “I’ll be back!”

My sister and I had the pleasure of having a treatment at Chi Spa and wanted to thank Tua and Dao for looking after us so well. We both thought it was the best we have ever experienced. They were amazing! We will be back. The entire staff we very helpful. Great hotel.

Pros: • great service from the concierge, Paolo. • huge variety for the breakfast buffet. • stunning views over the river and city • the Horizon boat tour is worth a punt even though it’s a bit pricey. Cons: • it felt as though we were hunting around for plug sockets in the room • service at breakfast was a bit hit and miss for this price range. Conclusion Minor issues but we would go again.

Right on the river and close to all the attractions. The hotel is an amazing experience, made special by the staff. without them it would be nice, with them, awesome. Everyone is friendly, the hotel is spacious and clean, rooms are excellent, although mine had a wiff of mould at the entrance, probably a bathroom flood. Food was amazing, the bar was in a great location and the pool was fantastic. The staff made the meetings i had go like clockwork. Well organised, nothing was too much trouble. Even had the AV team running to fix a minor issue. The hotel organised excursions were perfect and not too expensive. All in all i cannot recommend this enough

Our stay at Shangri-La Bangkok was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by warm, attentive staff whose genuine hospitality made us feel at home. The variety was incredible, with an extensive selection catering to every taste. Pro tip: arrive early to avoid the queues, especially during peak hours. The hotel's location is another major advantage. It's just a short walk from the BTS Skytrain station, making it easy to explore the city, and it's conveniently close to Bangkok's major shopping malls. We also loved the complimentary shuttle boat service to ICONSIAM, which is both convenient and a scenic way to travel—definitely take advantage of it. If you have time, don't miss the spa. It's the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing and offers a truly rejuvenating experience. Shangri-La Bangkok combines luxury, comfort, outstanding service, and a fantastic location. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok.

The location is amazing, we had a river view room over looking the river. i could sit on the balcony and watch the action on the river for hours. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. breakfast was amazing, everything you could possibly want was on offer.

Staff, even at reception, don’t speak great English, and we didn’t experience much proactiveness. The one real missed opportunity was that at check-in, staff didn’t mention the kids’ activities, even after seeing we had two small children. We only found out about the program too late — it would have been much appreciated, especially since the kids were jet-lagged. So if you’re traveling with kids, make sure to ask about the weekly activity schedule!
