Doubletree is at the center of everything. A quick walk to the campus or great meals are a 5-10 minute walk away. Rooms have a luxurious feel. The halls are Very quiet and the staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
I wish I had known renovations were going onbut it didn’t affect my stay one bit.
The breakfast was terrible and cold.
Everything wpas closed the lounge the pool everything closed because of a party but wasnt told till in the room
Nothing except the location/distance from my daughter's school
The hotel, there was no mention. Of it being under construction, no gym, no breakfast and then barely any towels in my room...the worst part was early in the morning housekeeping came busting in my room while I was half naked. I called the lobby to reportm..they gave me a few extra hilton honors points but that was it...the lady was nice and said the manager would contact me regarding a refund and that NEVER happened! I even paid extra for breakfast before the booking
The room was great, with a very nice view, clean and space full. The staff at the lobby very nice.
The hotel is going under renovations, the lobby was not that tidy and worker around. But what has more disappointing of the renovation was that the pool and gym were closed. The breakfast option was low quality and the breakfast area was outdated and dark...
The staff was sweet and a delight to deal with. The restaurant on site was not good at all. It’s a great location so I think they could upgrade the restaurant to match the location and staff.
The hotel was close to everything and in a good location downtown.
First, they were doing heavy construction and repairs to the lobby and had it taped up during our stay. There was also a lot of noise due to the construction. We were not told about this prior to our stay. Second, the front desk staff upon check-in assigned us a room that was already occupied. We used the key and opened the door to find another customer still in the room. It was a horrible experience. Staff didn’t even apologize for this and gave us another room.
We did not stay they are under construction place is dusty noisy and smelly
We had a honeymoon day-trip and I was very disappointed because ALL AMENITIES WERE CLOSED. I debated on a different hotel for days this weekend that was extremely special. The hotel was under complete renovation. No pool , no gym, the bar was not stocked and the restaurant was closed until a little waitress finally showed up the next morning very late. I was not put in the room I booked I had an early check in that I paid for. But the room was half the size I reserved. I had called to check if I got the right room and also called about early check in. I told front desk this was not the bright room and this was not the exact room that I had booked online because I saw the pictures. Then she told me which was a lie that the other room was not ready and it would be 4:00, just do they not think that we know they saved a better rooms for last. Everybody knows this now. I could tell she was just trying to pacify me. I am not one to be pacified unless I get what I paid for. I was so aggravated when I walked in and saw the black tarps everywhere was horrible. But the managers hopefully, I just don't think that however gets over the whole experience. Because I base it on how it looks at night, all the amenities, basically for the romance. Although we did go to Harry's Seafood bar and grill which was nice. Our money and medication got stuck into safe we had to call somebody to get it out because it's safe was badly abused. And I was supposed to have a kitchenette instead I had a little refrigerator inside a dresser cabinet that was falling off. I was disappointed bookings. You need to keep up who's doing renovations in their hotels and motels.
Housekeeping was great the waitress was great so far the managers have been great to be continued and believe me it will be continued I am an office manager to a surgery Center I believe customer service and patient care is one of the top priorities of making them well. And that's how the world goes around.
Location was ideal. Staff was very friendly and pleasant!
Ongoing renovation Parking garage was dirty Parking fees were ridiculously high
Service was exceptional! Jake went above and beyond and even helped me carry up my luggage. Room was extremely clean and met all of my needs as well.
Overall great experience with the Doubletree. Jake the valet was great and the front desk service was awesome. Both were very helpful and made the stay pleasant
We like the location because our grandson is part of Patriot Academy Conference and have attended twice. We received the breakfast because of dirty towels in our room, the girl who was the only one in the dining room heard my conversation offered the breakfast. Gloria, at the front, was an excellent person to share my concerns with. She did everything she could to help every one who came to the front desk. GLORIA IS A MOST VALUABLE PART OF THE FRONT DESK TEAM
The response to the dirty towel,
I had an excellent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tallahassee. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it easy to get around the city. The rooms were well maintained, and the staff was friendly and professional throughout my visit. A special shoutout goes to Reid from valet parking. He provided outstanding customer service from the moment I arrived. Reid was courteous, professional, and always greeted guests with a smile. He made the arrival and departure process seamless and truly went above and beyond to make my stay more enjoyable. It's employees like Reid who make a great hotel experience exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tallahassee and look forward to staying here again in the future!
Location. Valet Jake- personable and pleasant
No water in lobby ( complimentary) or coffee...most all hotels have a coffee and water service. Yes, there was a coffee maker in room, but one on lobby would have been more appreciated. Its the norm at most all hotels, even at lesser price points.
Nolan the valet concierge was great during check out!
Overall average hotel with one major drawback. At no point during our recent 4 day 3 night stay was the room serviced by housekeeping. This could be understandable if a Do Not Disturb sign was left posted on the door, however that sign never moved from the interior of the room. The lack of housekeeping service was brought up to the front desk with no response or action taken. With this being a shorter stay, I am not worried about any trash or dirty linens my family created during the stay. The concern is if this is how the property is run on a day to day basis, how thoroughly is housekeeping turning over rooms for new guests? Despite the amazing location and wonderful valet staff, we will not be returning to this property in the future.
Amazing experience! Nolan (parking) and Sam (early early morning desk) were exceptional!!
Our valet, Nolan at the Doubletree hotel was fantastic, he was quick, friendly and can drive a stick! Would definitely recommend. .
Great stay overall. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. Nolan from valet was especially helpful and always had a great attitude. He made coming and going super easy. Would definitely stay here again!
Jake was great and my granddaughter stuff he was cute
South Adam’s Doubletree car service was excellent Jake was fantastic with accommodations He greeted us with a smile and had a vibrant personality. Jake saw that we had our bags with us inside the hotel and saw that we had questions, he came over and quickly accommodated us. Very warm and friendly!
Jake was very attentive braided us with a smile when we walked up. Turns out he’s from Fort Lauderdale where we are from.
Location
The stuff. All the common spaces are decorated in a really vulgar way. The overall impression is that the hotel it’s run by someone highly incompetent
The staff made the stay great! Sam and Jen in particular were very helpful. Sam patiently and efficiently applied my tax exempt status and Jen made me a matcha latte before the cafe even opened. Both went above and beyond!
Jake was AMAZING and VERY professional!! KUDDOS TO JAKE!!!
Excellent service from the entire valet team
Had a great experience with Kelly this morning! Super personable and really made my morning when I was waiting for a business partner to come downstairs. This business is lucky to have him!
Great location. Staff is always great.
Staff not friendly
Decent
shower was minimal
Terrace has been so helpful and kind.
Ben had my car ready for me very late in the evening and was super respectful. Great service and enjoyed my stay at doubletree. Front desk and valet were super helpful late at night.
Nice big room. Comfortable bed. Spacious shower. Oversized desk to work on.
Commode not firmly attached to the floor. TV screen issue not allowing the channel numbers to be shown.
Josh and Skyler were incredibly courteous and helpful. They helped with all our bags and got the car to us with great timing. They were also considerate of other guests at the same time.
Location was right downtown, hotel was clean and room was spacious and well appointed.
The expensive parking was not expected! And the parking garage was very tight. The AC was loud in our room which had an awful view into the parking garage - our window looked directly into the one of the floors of the garage. Very disappointed. We ended up checking out after the first night and booking a different hotel.
Great experience with the staff and quality of the hotel. I enjoyed my stay here as everything was clean and ran smoothly. The front desk was friendly and accommodating. Valet employees Ben and Owen helped me bring my luggage up to the room and did a great job helping me out. Would stay here again .
Breakfast was great. We were celebrating our 22nd Anniversary and needed some relaxation
I booked this for my sister( who is developmentally disabled)and her caretakers so she would be right near everything for Springtime Tallahassee Parade and weekend. staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Wehn my sister left her walker there, I went and they had saved her walker.
na
I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Tallahassee and want to highlight the valet service I received one evening from Jason Albano. He was prompt, professional, and genuinely kind, making the entire experience smooth and easy. His attention to detail and friendly attitude really stood out.
Paid on Booking.com. When I went to the hotel, they said Booking.com had not paid them and made me pay again.
Great valet Parker’s. Very sweet informative and quick team. Braden Josh Ami all were incredible. They were always smiling like they love their jobs
Tyrese, our valet, was quick and so helpful! So Nice!
Quiet. A bit outdated. Not many amenities. Pool needed to be cleaned out.
The valet was very responsive and personable.
Rooms were not available for check-in at 4:00 the day of check-in. There was only one person at the front desk (Angel) and the check-in line was 15 people deep. Angel did an excellent job of trying to keep people calm since many of the rooms had not yet been turned over, Noah came to the front desk and assisted with check-ins a few minutes after 4:00. Noah provided first class customer service and did his best to accomodate me since rooms were not available, He was helpful and courteous and did follow-up with me that evening twice after check-in. He and Angel are as asset to that hotel which is always problematic including being short staffed and rooms not be turned over or cleaned properly. I was out of conditioner and was told it would be refilled and then was not given clean towels after they cleaned my room. I have been in Hiltons throughout the world and this one is truly the most poorly run hotel.
My son and I enjoyed our stay Downtown at the DoubleTree Hotel. The guest services team (front desk) and the restaurant staff were the real highlights of our stay! My son has asthma, and since we didn't have his inhaler, I know that a hot cup of tea (preferably peppermint) tends to help him out drastically. The lovely people in the restaurant, both in the morning and evening, during our two-day stay, helped me with a nice hot cup of water, tea packets & sugar. They didn't hesitate at all when I inquired about it. What a lifesaver! Miss Gloria at the front desk is an Angel! So sweet, helpful, and attentive. Also, the Housekeeping Supervisor (a gentleman), whose name I didn't get, was very informative and friendly! We did order dinner from the restaurant, but we weren't too pleased with the food. The sauce used for the hot wings tasted artificial, and the color didn't make it any better. The best part was the super-tasty chocolate cake! The complimentary Happy Hour was exceptional! Serving fine cheeses, crackers, jam, fruit, and mixed drinks. Our room was very nice, clean, and neat! The shower, on the other hand, had very low water pressure, and the wall/ceiling was bubbling, showing the hotel's age and possibly poor ventilation, as the vent does not work. The pool area was Beautiful, and the overall hotel decor is Exquisite! All in all, I would definitely stay here again! Keep up the good work Everyone!!
Location. Downtown and close to the stadium.
It’s an older hotel and could definitely use some updates especially for the price
This hotel is the worse. GM Dewan Kasem should be ashamed of himself the way he runs this place. It’s disgusting inside. BEWARE DEWAN KASEM WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY WHEN BUSINESS IS DOWN BY SAYING THAY YOU SMOKE IN ROOMS and charging you a fee after you leave. He says he has found proof - after you leave but never sends pictures! I guess the hotel is so old you probably could smoke in rooms and not get caught as the smoke detectors probably haven’t worked since Regan was in office. Staff will tell you this is a common scam he runs on many people. So beware!! It’s unfortunate that good honest people always have to suffer at the hands of greedy corporations.
This hotel is dated and needs a refresher in the biggest way. The system was down when we arrived. Waited 20 minutes to get checked in. Stayed in corner room on 14th floor. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was dated and needed attending. The toilet rocked the soaps did not stick to the wall and were on the floor of the tub. The windows were filthy and the room overlooked a tall office building, so view was limited and disappointing.
The General Manager was very accommodating! The staff upfront and in the breakfast room very accommodating!
Just arrived to the room and the houseman knocking on my door trying to get me and my neighbors linens. Sounds like no communication in housekeeping department!
My friend and I came to Tallahassee to visit family. We stayed Friday night 3-6-26 and Saturday night night 3-7-26. I sure wish I had read the reviews before booking. But this was a HILTON property and I’ve never had a problem before at a Hilton property, until now. Everything went well until Saturday night. My friend had just finished showering and turned off the shower off when she let go of the hand bar to step out of the shower she slipped on the shower floor and fell. I observed the slippery shower floor also when I had showered earlier that night. This scared us so bad! My friend has had a hip replacement on both hips, a knee replacement and neck surgery. I was able to help her get up, get dressed and make it to the bed. Miraculously she did not break anything on herself. Immediately after making sure she was safe in the bed I went to the front desk to report it. I spoke to Logan, HK supervisor (what his name tag said) at 10:35 pm. He was typing as I was telling him what happened and assumed he was typing what I was saying. I also told Logan that they really need to something about the slick shower floor. He told me that management would see the message Sunday morning and someone from management would call me. It is now late Tuesday night 3-10-26 and I have not heard from anyone yet. I expected a call no later than Sunday 3-8-26. I am very disappointed and concerned for other guests that decide to stay at this hotel. I will NEVER be back here.
I was looking forward to this visit but was slightly disappointed. There really isn’t much to see outside of the State House and colleges. It was hard to find things to do without a car. The hotel is old but suitable. A nice park across the street. Not many restaurants to choose from. If you go, try The Wishing you a Healthy, Happy, Joyful and Prosperous New Year. Hayward and Il Lussa.
After driving 10 hours from NC, my family and I arrived at the hotel praying that our rooms were available early. We were extremely tired and all needed to be refreshed to start the day. In town for a special celebration for my niece, who is a college student, we really needed to unwind and get comfortable so we could be ready for the day. Sending up a prayer, I called the hotel and got Noah on the phone. He was nice and pleasant despite it being a very busy weekend (sold out) for them. Explained our sitiuation and he was able to accomodate our request for an early check-in. Upon arrival, Noah and the other front desk staff were as friendly and accomodating as he was on the phone. The lobby was swamped with people but our check-in was a breeze. This was my first trip to Tallahassee and when I come back next year for my niece's graduation, my family and I will book at this location. Beautiful property and nice clean rooms!
Upon arrival, we discovered the pre-paid self-parking we paid for was no longer available; valet only. We checked in at 5:45 and were informed our queen room was not ready but would be about 10 minutes. After about 15 minutes we explained we were in town for a concert and needed to get ready. The woman at the front desk did unlock an empty ballroom for me to change in; after which we were suddenly approved for an upgrade to a king room. Honestly, we should have been offered that in the first place and shouldn't have been made to wait. It felt like a shakedown to get us to pay for the upgrade. We finally got into our room around 6:30. The room was worn in places (desk chair was mangled; chips in the shower) but you're paying for the location of the hotel and I'm used to some wear and tear in these types of hotels. Overall the appearance was acceptable. The hotel did give us vouchers for the buffet breakfast but we weren't interested in that so they comped our valet instead, which we appreciated. Not sure if I'd stay here again; I would compare with other hotels in the area.
lobby decorations. angel at check was exceptionally cool under the immense pressure of a sold out hotel hosting a raucous wedding
booking.com said check in was 3p. location said 4p. my room was not ready until well past 7p and I had to call the hotel to even find out. unacceptable. i did not like the lack of self serve food and drink choices. 9th floor next door neighbor let their kids scream and beat the walls and as a result my party of 4 could not sleep past 6:30 am ( 5:30 am our time)
I'm not sure how this hotel has such high ratings. It's extremely poorly managed. It's run down & falling apart. This is my 5th and final stay here the experience was so horrible. They had the never to charge upwards to $600 a night knowing this hotel is barely worth $45!
Very good for the price. The coffee was an added bonus and the barista always greeted us with a smile every morning. The staff were very friendly.
The hotel looked a little outdated and maybe falling apart. However, for the price we paid it was a good deal.
To dark in the hallway make feel scary
The pillows are to soft
Das Personal war freundlich.
Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund des Pools und des Komforts gebucht. Die Zimmer sind abgewohnt und der Pool war nicht nutzbar. Sehr sehr schade.
The valet team was very personable and professional. I highly recommend them. Great service.
Saul was amazing, super accommodating and nice. He even helped us fix our bumper which saved us!
It was in a good location downtown, and the staff was friendly. Parts of the hotel could use an update, and it also seemed there was no consistency as to when amenities were open (e.g., Eve on Adam was supposed to be open but wasn't.)
We were completely disgusted with our stay at this hotel. We didn't realize this when we went to bed last night but when we got up this morning and were packing our things my wife discovered bed bugs on the white sheets. We were going to let the hotel know on our way out but the front desk was busy with people so I decided to call afterwards. I went through Hilton's customer feedback line first and was told they would pass it on to the manager and they would contact me. If those things are on one set of sheets they're in all of them because they spread through the wash I will never stay at this hotel again, thoroughly disgusted. Zoom in to the pics to see the bugs
The location was nice. I loved the hotel decor throughout the lobby.
The shower didn’t appear to be clean. The hotel room was hot throughout the night eventhough the thermostat was set. It was not comfortable sleeping during the night. I also woke up with bumps on my back that itched really. I believe the bed may have had bed bugs. I won’t be stating at that location anymore.
Ottima posizione e buon prezzo
Materasso scomodo e colazione un po’ scarna
Stayed here 1 night on way to Orlando. Did the same 4 years ago and found the hotel quirky but interesting and a good value. Something has changed or we stayed on a very “off” night. Card key malfunctioned on check-in, even master key malfunctioned, had a room change and card key still malfunctioned. Finally had 1 working card key to share among 4 people. Room furnishings in general dated and damaged (photos). Wall outlets questionable, afraid to use outlet next to bed after trying to plug in device and seeing that the electrical box was moving. Heating system malfunctioned. Breakfast buffet overpriced for limited selection of poor to average quality food, and broken juice machine (went to pantry by front desk for juice and was not charged for the bottled juice). Hotel comp’d breakfast due to check-in issues but waitress presented bill for 22% gratuity ($10). We had planned to tip anyway (she did her job and was pleasant) but were taken aback by the process. No valet on duty. On the positive side, staff were very sweet and helpful but they don’t have the power to resolve these kinds of issues. Offered to refund the charge for the stay but we had used an AMEX stay benefit for most of the charge and didn’t have the time or tolerance to even attempt to undo that. Cleanliness was good, garage parking available (seemed high at $30 plus per night), but we chose ease of parking in the metered spots along the street in front since only staying one night. As noted in other reviews, no card key required for elevator access plus dimly lit hallways (at least on the 7th floor) which made us uncomfortable from a security perspective. We are easy going travelers with grown children. If we had little ones this would have been a disaster. We will not be returning.
Was given a handicap room and room was unkept and dirty. The toilet could not flush, the light was out. House keeper was very accommodating. The lady who extended my stay at the front desk was excellent. Will be back hoping to get a better room.
Location, house keeper and the lady who extended my stay at the room desk.
It was awesome! Would definitely stay there again
Customer service was excellent. Particularly Angel was very good and so was Ms. Gloria. The manager Sonora solved the reservation problem quickly and efficiently.
Nothing. All good!
Ms. Gloria checked me in and she was very pleasant. The paint in the bathroom was peeling and as soon as I stepped outside my room, I saw paint peeling in the hallway. I had the breakfast buffet; everything was tasty but the scrambled eggs were cold and look petrified. The cook finally brought a fresh pan out and I advised him to check the steam table because the eggs were cold. He replied, I turned it down so that the eggs wouldn't dry out. Buffets need to be attended to e.g., routinely stirring the eggs and/or other food to ensure that they are properly heated. No one wants to spend their money on cold eggs. I had a light dinner at the hotel because I had a wonderful lunch at a nearby restaurant. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. It was very small not at all an entree salad as I had expected. As I was eating the salad, I saw something shiny in it and it was a piece of clear plastic. I can only guess that someone in the kitchen manually opened the salad mix bag instead of cutting it open. I brought it to my server's attention. I checked out early in the morning to catch an early flight. Upon arriving in the lobby, there were two men sleeping in the lobby, which was quite unsettling. You don't expect to find folks sleeping in the lobby at 4am. I went to the other side of the lobby while I waited on my Uber. The Front Desk person said something to one of the men and he left the hotel. He let the other guy remain sleeping in the lobby. This is a security issue. There were no cookies when I checked in late at night and none after breakfast the next day. I finally got a cookie upon returning to the hotel in the evening and it's because the clerk ask the chef to make some more. At least the cookies are still great, if you can get one.
Front desk was so happy and friendly. Rooms were very clean. Smelled great. Great view of tallahassee.
Nothing
everything! it was very nice. lori kaye was so sweet and understanding!
Location
Bit tired - few fixes would have made a huge difference. Gym equipment broken, shampoo and condition broken off the walls etc.
Great location. Beautiful hotel
My room was right next to the elevator. I heard it ALL night!
My bill was $315 &I was charged $448. I cannot get thru to the hotel
location
very outdated and A/C made a lot of noise
