Good location, ok in cleaning , easy self check in

Not that much maintained , very old furniture, poor cleaning

The location was good and Essam was lovely. I liked the shower set up but less pressure than I'm used to.

The tea and coffee facility was lacking as plenty of tea and sugar but barely any milk or coffee. The bed was too hard and had a person sized indentation so didn't sleep well. There is paint coming away from the walls in several places and the towel provided was way too small for a grown man of over 6ft.

The property is located in a nice area of Cardiff right near Bute Park, perfect for a morning walk or run. The host was communicative and greeted me on arrival. The bed was comfortable, and the tea/coffee/kettle/biscuits/chocolate provided in the room were appreciated. Free parking on the street right outside. I attended a football match at Cardiff City Stadium, and this was only a 25 minute walk from the property which was fantastic as I avoided the traffic queues trying to park near the pitch.

The bathroom is very small/narrow; it was manageable but could be difficult for a larger person to access the shower. The inside of the property is a little run down in areas, but I did not have any concerns regarding cleanliness.

This property was well kept, was very clean and had no major issues. The bed was exceptional, and the shower was really good.

Although the owner was a very nice man, he did disturb quite often for multiple different reasons. Housekeeping also walked in without knocking in the morning which was a big surprise.

What a lovely stay! Our host was so attentive, and the room was lovely. We were even offered a bigger room on arrival. The little touches like chocolates and water were appreciated too. Lovely location, close to everything we needed. We'll definitely book again

Host is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Use of full kitchen. Large room with sofa as well as desk and bed. Water, tea, coffee and chocolate provided. Great location right by the park.

Bit tatty round the edges. Cleaning in the more hidden areas. Common areas felt very studenty.

Everything was great! The host was lovely and even brought me some chocolates up. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the bathroom was lovely. I will definitely stay here again.

Staff were welcoming, great communication. Room was clean, had aircon and a bottle of water for us both which is always a nice touch. Location was very suitable, close to the center.

Lovely room, a bonus to have air con in the current hot weather. Welcoming host, brought us chilled water and chocolates as soon as we checked in.

Smaller than I expected - I was on my own but I don't think it would have worked if my wife had been with me

Location is fab! Super central to the Millenium stadium. Owner was friendly, greeted us and also gave us some Ferrero rocher and Lindor chocolates to welcome us. The bedding and towels smelt lovely. The fan was wonderful on a sticky day and night.

Parking was an issue the days we were there due to the Take That concert. Free parking in cathedral road was all taken. The side roads are parking permit holders only.

Location only 20 mins walk to town center and free street parking nearby. Clean comfy room and bed, it had a na/c machine in room that helped but was noisy. Good host.

The location was ideal for visiting our friend based in Pontcanna. Cathedral Road is a lovely area and a short walk into the town centre. Coffee shops and local co-op less than 5 minutes' walk away. Essam was friendly and welcoming in showing us to each of our rooms (the budget one and the normal double). It was great to have use of a shared kitchen as well. The room was well equipped and clean - the sheets/towels smelled amazing. I was in the budget double and found it very comfortable - mattress softer than I'd personally like but not a problem. Even though Cathedral Road can be busy the rooms were well insulated from any outside sound so it was nice and quiet.

It is very clean, we even got a free upgrade because the bigger room was not being used! Very nice man who greeted us upon arrival and showed us around in our room. There's a little kitchen you can use as well.

Location is good; near a small convenience store and a few cafe which opens early to grab coffee. Easy street parking around. The host was nice enough to stick around past the hotel check-in hours to receive us.

Although the room is large, the photos on booking is not reflecting the true condition of the property. The couch in the room wasnt really clean and the shower curtain needs to be replaced as it is moldy. Not sure why other commenters here said its super clean. Maybe my room #3 is an exception.

Easy walk to the stadium for us, with lots of shops and amenities close by, bus stop opposite the accommodation which takes 5 mi s to get into city centre. Lovely host, good communication ahead of stay. Parking free on the road outside.

No sharp knives in kitchen for making food. But having a kitchen was a bonus.

The location is unbeatable: just 20 minutes from the city center with plenty of free parking available. The staff is very attentive and polite; they were kind enough to upgrade my stay by assigning me a larger room, which was clean and tidy

I stayed at this place with the goal of resting before a sporting event I was participating in the following day, but the experience was disappointing. Resting was impossible: the mattress was completely sagged in the middle, and the pillows had no firmness at all; they were lumpy and extremely uncomfortable. It was so frustrating that I even seriously considered going to sleep in my car just to try to get some rest. This lack of sleep directly affected my performance in the event. The hygiene and facilities leave much to be desired: the common areas, especially the kitchen, are in a questionable state. The microwave and the refrigerator gave an impression of absolute filth. Additionally, the kitchen is outdated, lacks enough cutlery, and there were no basic cleaning supplies available to wash the dishes. All in all, a very disappointing stay that I would not recommend to anyone needing a minimum of comfort.

The staff were very helpful and I was able to arrange early check-in without any problems. For the price and taking into consideration that it was a Bank Holiday the room was more than adequate bearing in mind I was on my own.

It was very convenient for Pontcanna. The shower was excellent. Room 1 was at the back and it was quiet.

It was not luxury, it was just a room in the house. The facilities were very outdated and the bathroom was very worn. He assured me it wasn’t mould but it was something growing in there.
