I highly recommend you spend money on top notch mattresses. Suggest you purchase same mattresses that great hotels use. The beds were not comfortable...everything else was great

We had a queen room with a sea view on Payne’s Path. We liked the balcony, the great wifi and the heat/cooling system.

The information given via email was very generic covering all the different types of accommodations. I found it confusing.

We were disappointed to find, although we booked two rooms at the same time, that they were on opposite sides of town (not even within walking distance). Wish that was made clear when we booked.

Wonderful Ocean view in Rocky Harbour on the edge of the village. Loverly outdoor deck to enjoy the waves, sunshine, wind, and harbour.

Our room was at the corner of the building! The whole quality of the room was way lower than expected! Dust was everywhere and the whole room smelled like a trash be honest! After a long way drive, it was too late and no other room options! Have to sleep and run at an early morning without touching anything but the beds!

The location was fantastic (get one of the end rooms at the “Queen Suite with Sea View” building — windows on the end units add light). The amenities were very good - coffee pot, hot pot, fridge, A/C, couch, table, 2 chairs, etc. Nice area for walking, short drive to restaurants and shops. Comfortable beds.

We were unlucky enough to be there when a transformer blew and took out power for the whole area around Rocky Harbor for the last 2 days of our 3 day stay. We managed because we had charged power banks, but it made the time in the room challenging! Not the fault of the innkeepers.

We were supposed to be there 3 nights but the first night there was a power outage.wake up and the bagged ice nad totally melted destroying any food we had. We cleaned it up. Found one restaurant open so did eat breakfast. Everything else closed. Went hiking and returned at 7pm to find still no power and now absolutely nothing open. So no power, no food, no phone service no internet. No way to contact anyone so drove 35 k in one direction to search of anything. So now running low on fuel so returned and ate chocolate bars for dinner. Wake up with no power. Drove to the office and they said power should be on later today. So we left one night early. Requested a one night stay credit and so far nothing. There is sooooo much more they could have done but they had our money and that's all that counted. We would never stay there again.

Nous avons eu la malchance de tomber pile sur 48h de coupure de courant. La faute à personne. Mais un email de l’agence / propriétaire ou autre aurait été apprécié… Attention : la maison n’a pas du tout vue sur l’océan. (Mais c’est évidement tout près) Et le wifi (quand le courant ne perturbe pas l’ensemble) est TRÈS TRÈS peu fiable.

Only issue was that one bed was pretty much not usable. Unless you hugged the left side... Springs on the right side were shot.

Beautiful view! Comfortable, clean room.

The small seating area separate from the bedrooms so we could put the kids to bed then have time to ourselves.

Not all curtains were blackout, so it was hard to sleep in, but that’s mostly just due to the time of year of our stay.

Really nice comfortable place to stay in Rocky Harbour. After a couple of warm nights in motels on our drive over from St John’s we welcomed this lovely air conditioned apartment.

The property was well take care of and had everything we needed for our stay in Gros Morne. The ladies at the reception were very helpful, and the units were very clean.

Overall the place was good.

The name of our accommodation- the apartment, this was confusing as there was other accommodations named deluxed apartment, 3 bedroom apartment and no real addresses to plug into other than go to the wildlife museum to pick up keys. There was mention of a kitchen but didn't specify what appliances were there. It could of made planning easier.

Located in a quiet neighborhood, not directly at the bay. But that was already advertised at the time of booking, therefore just as expected.

No windows in the living room/kitchen area. But that was actually not a big issue.

The view was spectacular! I loved the room it was beautiful and so clean and quiet. I will definitely return to this property again. The lady who helped us during the check in process was so kind and helpful! I was so sad to have to leave after my two night stay. My only regret was not booking for longer! Gorgeous property in a beautiful little town!

It was a lovely clean comfortable room with plenty of space and a view of the sea from the balcony. The information before we arrived was excellent.

The room was damp.

Spacious room, good flooring (not carpet), clean sheets, towels (abundant) and I'm glad you do not use strong scents for washing your sheets. It's nice that I could open the back door for fresh air. Plenty of drawers without crowding the room. Easy to use coffee maker and kettle. The bathroom is super clean and smart placement of useful stuff for the WR. A quite area and strict enforcement of "No Smoking" is very admirable.

Since our stay coincided with the FIFA World Cup, we were watching the games. The reception could be better. And the beds were a little bit soft for our old backs. Otherwise, we were satisfied.

The bathroom was roomy :) and the kitchen was very nicely stocked. Two bedrooms were comfortable.

More seating in the living room area,maybe a love seat in place of the single chair. The bed in the left room off the living area was noisy. The grounds need a good trim, it was very weedy and did not give good welcome look. The note on the wall lead me to believe I had to take the garbage to the garbage box. The cleaning staff came as we were leaving and said I did not have to do that. I think to drive back to the museum to put the unit key in a drop box is unnecessary, maybe a drop box at the unit would work.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at 'Stay at Gros Morne' properties. The building we were put in was either new or newly renovated - it still had the new carpet smell. It was clean and reminiscent of a hotel room - two beds, mini fridge, coffee maker, couch, and TV. The beds were comfortable and the views were beautiful (we could see the cemetery which some people might not like but I personally didn't mind). Our room also had a small balcony which we loved. It rained during out stay so we didn't get to enjoy it as much as would have liked but it was a lovely little spot.

Laundry - we had a laundromat on-site of our building. I did not know this beforehand. It was coin-operated which I totally understand from a business perspective but from a guest perspective, it's annoying. Maybe have a set up where guests can use a debit/CC to pay for the laundry or have a change machine on-site. I also think people would pay a bit more to use the laundry facilities at no cost (have regular washer/dryer, door code into the laundry room, charge more per room). Organization - the listing is "Stay at Gros Morne" and it is an over-arching listing name for what seems to be close to a dozen buildings around Rocky Harbour (why not have a separate listing for each building??). When you choose the room-type you want, you're placed into whatever room in whatever building - and you don't know what building you will be put into until you get there and check-in. I would say this is why the laundromat wasn't mentioned in the listing - probably not all of the buildings have a laundromat on-site so you can't write it in a listing that is for more than one property. When you book, you receive an email that says "if you booked X room, you get X" but even this was confusing and not all of the information on the listing matched what was in the email. I think from this email you’re supposed to be able to tell which room you’re getting but, again, the email was confusing and info didn’t match, and second, you didn’t know this until AFTER you made your booking. You had to go to a main building - a gift shop and museum - to check-in and get your keys. We were also asked to return our keys to that building before we left town - the town is small and the building just off the road we were traveling on but still a slight inconvenience when you’re wanting to get on the road to your next destination. Maybe a key drop box on the guest building, or have door codes instead of keys?

By far the best accommodation during our 2 weeks in Newfoundland. Updated, modern, clean, spacious suite with sitting area and two queen beds over looking the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The sun was setting right off our little balcony for a spectacular end to each evening. Highlights from Rocky Harbour: Buoy & Arrow restaurant, JavaJacks cafe, Woody Point and the Tablelands, Western Brook Pond Tour. Wish we had stayed longer!

Small complaint: the barn door on bathroom looked great but offered little privacy as it doesn’t close tightly.

Soundproofing could be better

We rented a 3 bedroom apartment. Although when you look at the listing online it appears that you will be staying in view of the harbor, once you get a confirmation you find out where it actually is. The company owns several apartments in town, so the listing photos must be a composite of several places. We were a few blocks back from the water, and it was fine, although we had to drive anywhere we wanted to go (we had children with us). The kitchen area was tiny but had all the basics. Check in and out was super easy, the apartment was clean.

The bed in the front bedroom was shaped like a canoe and very soft - very uncomfortable for us. The other two bedrooms had similarly soft beds but were flat (as should be). The 3 bdrm apartment was located in the inside corner of a building in the shape of an "L". The only windows in our unit were in the front door and a window in each bedroom leaving the living area dimly lit.

It rained alot 😑. The TV reception was spotty and the restaurants were expensive. Food wasn't very good.

It was a nice convenient location, centrally located and with easy access to all the sites we were looking to visit. The checkout location was easy to find, and checking out was simple due to the drop-off box.

I am not sure that the bathtub was cleaned properly. The water was not draining properly, which should have been noticeable if filled with water. I removed a large amount of hair from the drain, and then it worked properly.

It was lovely, clearly new and up to date

Low toilet. Alot of seniors travel and the toilets are low. Maybe install a bar? Higher toilet seat. I have left this comment everywhere Ive been this trip. Most of the ppl Ive met have said the same thing🤷‍♀️

The junior suite is well furnished and location is very good. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is sparkling clean.

The carpet and walls require some cleaning.

It was clean. Washer and dryer available. Check in staff were lovely! Nice big bathroom for sharing with a separate tub/shower and another shower.

Beds were not very comfortable. Blankets were thin. No napkins or paper towel. We don’t generally have to provide that when we book a place with cooking facilities.

The room was very spacious, clean and the bed was super comfortable. Very walkable to everything in Rocky Harbour and easy access to Gros Morne sites like Western Brook Pond etc.

Since there was no room service over our 3 night stay it would be nice to have some soap and dish towels in the unit to wash the coffee cups and glasses between uses. Not a big deal but a suggestion.

We had a problem with the hot water. Even though we reported it at 10 pm someone drove over immediately to assess the situation and it was completely rectified early the next day. Great service and communication.

It was perfect.

This property exceeded my expectations. What a view! Super comfortable, super clean and super chic. If you are staying here, be sure to walk to the top of the road (Payne’s Path) for an amazing 360 degree panoramic view of Rocky Harbour, Bonne Bay, Gros Morne and more. Breathtaking!

The only thing I found myself missing was a bottle opener. This place was fantastic.

The worst and thinnest toilet paper I've ever used in my life.

Located right by the sea with a beautiful sunset view. The area is very quiet and private. The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of parking available. The people were also very friendly.

The suite was located right beside a cemetery. It didn’t bother me personally, but it might not be ideal for everyone. The provided shampoo and soap bars could also be improved.

The stairs

The unit was clean, comfortable and all the necessities were available (as long as you did not want more).

It was very difficult to find the hotel. Communicating with staff was next to impossible. There was no mobile or telephone service in the room (and the general area). There was a bit of an issue with payment (credit card did not get accepted) and the staff made limited effort to resolve this, even though it was to their benefit. It took about an hour to find our unit/house ... the provided map was not very helpful. If you needed additional towels, soap etc, you were out of luck.

Unit is very comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Good shower, etc. Location is convenient in Rocky Harbour. Check in staff very friendly and helpful.

No view from the unit, and the unit is quite dark.... blinds required for privacy as people drive past the unit, but even with the blinds open it's lacking light and outlook.

Accommodation was just what they advertised, clean, well located, good facilities. Recommend it.

Very comfortable stay. Were there for only 1 night. Enjoyed watching the sunset and the walk to the lighthouse. Property management had stocked the place with coffee and filters, would have been a great help if they could have provided coffeemate and sugar too.
