Sehr hilfsbereit. Haben mir einen Parkplatz freigemacht. Gute Busanbindung. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge. Küchenmitbenützung und Kaffee/Tee praktisch. Zimmer klein, hat aber alles notwendige. Gemeinsamer Balkon.

Direkt an der Strasse. Nachts aber nicht mehr so viel Verkehr.

I was pleased throughout my whole stay, from the warm welcome at check-in to the comfortable room. In the morning, I was also offered a complimentary choice of coffee or tea, which was a lovely touch. Everything was clean, well organized, and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here!

J’ai passé un excellent séjour de quelques jours au Chalet La Griotte pour profiter du vélo et de la randonnée, et tout était parfait ! Rita m’a réservé un accueil exceptionnel, avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de disponibilité. Ses conseils pour les randonnées étaient précieux et m’ont permis de découvrir de magnifiques itinéraires. Le chalet est superbe, très confortable, dans un environnement magnifique et idéal pour les amoureux de la nature et des activités de plein air. Je recommande cette adresse les yeux fermés et j’espère avoir l’occasion d’y revenir très bientôt !

Clean Quiet Friendly and helpful staff Good value

Accueil très sympathique , côté « authentique » de ce vieux chalet , où l’habitude d’héberger des hôtes semble déjà ancienne ! Ma chambre , toute petite mais très convenable, avait accès au balcon : bien agréable.

Malheureusement , la situation donnant sur l’Avenue Centrale (principal axe routier Villars-Chesières) ne va pas sans un certain bruit de trafic dès le matin tôt. En revanche , la nuit, c’est bien calme!

The hostel was exceptionally clean, and Rita was incredibly kind and welcoming. She provided excellent ideas and recommendations for enjoying the area. The facilities and decor were tasteful, beautiful, and artistic. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this hostel to others.

Internet in rooms had problems. Floors squeaky. Decent walk to downtown. Whole facility was cold.

Friendly, clean, well located next to bus stop.

Lack of double glazing means the room was never very warm. We requested extra blankets. That's the only negative thing, the rest is perfect

Convenient location for the bus. Wonderful host in Rita, very flexible with our arrangements. Well equipped kitchen. Ski storage.

The chalet is on the road so you should expect some traffic noise, the amount associated with a small mountain town. Mattresses a little soft - personal preference.

Lovely cosy chalet, like a home from home. Rita was very helpful and gave us lots of tips about the local area, very accommodating with check in time. Very handy being located so close to the bus stop.

J'ai adoré mon séjour au Chalet la Griotte et je me réjouis déjà de revenir ! Rita m'a toujours répondu rapidement et avec une grande gentillesse. Elle a tout mis en oeuvre pour que nous nous sentions accueillis et comme à la maison. Les chambres sont très belles, personnalisées et confortables. Tout est propre. La cuisine est incroyable, si jolie et pratique, et Rita met une foule de petites choses à disposition dans la cuisine et les salles de bains pour faciliter notre séjour ! Enfin, le chalet est très bien situé avec un accès immédiat au bus qui nous emmène au bas des pistes. Bref, le rêve :)

it’s an old house so it’s cracking a lot and you can hear outside the room, it can be an issue for light sleepers, but personally that is not something I have a problem with

Nous sommes très heureux d'avoir choisi le chalet Griotte. Un lieu plein de charme, et très propre. Nous y avons passé une moment très agréable. Merci beaucoup à vous.

Relaxing room in a nice chalet.

Quite pricey.

The owner is magnificent. The bed was really comfy - we generally slept well. It was quiet if you closed the window (though we really like to sleep with it open)

The floor was really creaky so we woke each other up if we had to go to the toilet.

It had a very homely, cosy feel.

I would say to bring a pair of ear plugs. The place is a near the road so to leave the window open in the summer to keep cool it could be loud

The host of the hostel is friendly and the house is clean and comfortable.

Not so many tourist attractions nearby, but it is good for chilling out and taking rest without wave of tourists.

Facilities were fantastic, the room was well cleaned, the staff friendly and helpful and the experience really lovely. A stunningly beautiful location as well.

The host Rita was wonderful and with plenty of helpful suggestions about things to do in the area; the chalet was clean and had everything we wanted

For my purposes and habits, this funky, personable, non-luxurious chalet was perfect. The fully equipped kitchen gave me a chance to cook some meals for myself and avoid expensive restaurants. Rita is upbeat and easy-going. The hiking trails start right behind the chalet and there's a great butcher/boulangerie/grocery store nextdoors.

What's not to like?

The owners, who also personally manage the Chalet, are the most warm and helpful hosts. They were on top of communication, very relaxed as they accommodate everyones needs and manage this place where spaces are to be shared. It was very well kept with shoes left outside, dishes clean and the kitchen space well organised and clean. The shared bath space was clean, well kept and adequate for everyone. The location of the Chalet is perfect, on the Main Street across from the bus station and not far from the main train station.

La signora si è dimostrata subito accogliente e premurosa nel farmi stare a mio agio. Lo consiglio sicuramente, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

Great place to stay.

Un accueil chaleureux et une flexibilité agréable. L’endroit est adorable, on y sens l’attention aux détails et l’envie de vivre la vie pleinement.

The bathroom was very bright and clean. There is microwave oven. The check-in time was quite flexible: I wanted to check in during 21:00 - 22:00, but arrived 1 hour earlier and the host was there for me, how nice! There is a balcony, which is great. I can't wait to come again in summer. The host was very nice. I saw her was very patient to help other guest on the public transportation and providing information about restaurant etc.

The bedroom is tiny but cozy, and it is close to the street, which make is a bit too lout at night to sleep well. The bathroom is not inside of the bedroom, that would be not very convenient if you have to go to the toilet at night. But generally I am very satisfied.
