The views are Spectacular! A very chic cozy style hotel with cottage rooms. The reception area has a bar where u can get drinks indoor or outdoor all through the day, nice house music playing all day, very tastefully done. Staff was l very polite and helpful. The restaurant Saskia’s is EXCELLENT ! The best bloddy Mary oysters I’ve ever had ! The hotel also has a heated outdoor pool which was quite warm, they have a red light sauna which was absolutely AMAZING! a great detox ! Breakfast at the hotel was also great - made to order and fresh. The chef at breakfast was great and very accommodating with all requests !

Nothing - everything was great. Room size could have maybe been a little larger , they could try to add a full length mirror in the room - but these are small details . Over all the stay was fantastic .

Sehr schönes und sauberes Zimmer. Toller Pool. Frühstück war besonders gut. Kein Buffet, dafür bereitet der Koch, der auch den Service übernahm alles was man wollte frisch vor.

Whirlpool hat leider nicht funktioniert. Die Sauna ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Nous avions choisi une chambre avec balcon et petite déception en arrivant ce n’était pas privé mais passant du coup pas de petites chaises rien désolé mais ce n’est finalement pas un balcon

La deuxième chambre que l’on nous a donnée, un mazot, était très bien. Spacieuse, confortable, tranquille et donnant sur la vallée. Le restaurant est au top!

La première chambre. Sur la route et au-dessus du restaurant. Bruyante, privacy limitee, et impossible de l’obscurcir suite à de nouvelles normes de lutte anti-incendie. Heureusement que nous avons pu changer, sans quoi mon retour aurait été très négatif.

There was a special event going on that weekend. The restaurant was closed and it could have been a good idea to have had the place open for all the customers in house instead of asking them to go out into full and busy restaurants instead of giving a special treatment of guests in house.

Très jolie chambre, beaucoup de charme, bien décorée, avec un équipement moderne. Hôtel original, conçu avec le charme rustique des anciens chalets et mazots. Splendides parterres de fleurs. Petit déjeuner excellent, à la carte, servi à table.

L'accessibilité des lieux pour une personne. blessée ou handicapée est à revoir. Problème pas facile à résoudre pour des chalets où la présence d'escalier et de marche est normal. Dommage du manque de pain le dimanche au petit déjeuner.

Na Booking com zapłaciłam za butelkę szampana jako dodatek do pokoju.Szampana nie otrzymałam, ponieważ menager hotelu powiedział mi , ze to dotyczy tylko większych hoteli i Booking com się pomylił. Gdzie leży prawda?

I really love this place, it’s beautiful and the staff are really nice and helpful. There’s parking on spot and the rooms are cosy but spacious rooms. It’s also very central.

The food is good quality, but not enough veg. and too much sugar. I would come more often as the dining area is beautiful with a great view, but the menu doesn’t change, always the same dishes.

Spa and breakfast was amazing. And the view from balcony is absolutely stunning.

- overall, the wellness part could be improved. The jacuzzi was not working (even though we we were told that it would take 30min, then that it would work the next day, even though it never did). Hammam was also not very warm. - the reception staff could explain a bit more the facilities and give overall info when checking in

My recent experience at the hotel LE MAZOTS DU CLOS, located in Villar-sur-Ollon, canton of Vaud, Switzerland, was unfortunately quite disappointing. I have been a frequent visitor to this town since 2021, traveling regularly over the past four years. However, during my latest visit in May 2025, I had to choose this hotel because many of my usual accommodations in the area were closed due to the off-season. My expectations were high, based on the photographs and descriptions of the hotel available on platforms like Booking.com. However, the reality fell significantly short of what was depicted. The hotel is small, with about ten to twelve rooms. The room we were assigned appeared to be a later addition to the original building, lacking views of the Alps, and was instead facing the back and situated directly above the kitchen. This resulted in constant noise and strong odors both when exiting the room and when opening the windows. The room had poor sound insulation and lacked adequate mechanisms to block morning sunlight, making restful sleep difficult. Another negative aspect was the pool, which was empty and under maintenance during our stay, eliminating one of the main reasons I had selected this hotel. Additionally, the spa was disappointing—poorly maintained, unattended, and accumulating trash. Regarding the restaurant, despite its supposed prestige, the value for money was disappointing. The breakfast was particularly poor: service was slow, the coffee mediocre (prepared using a standard Nespresso machine), and we even saw frozen croissants being taken out of the freezer for immediate baking. Initially, we weren’t offered a menu; instead, toast and fruit were brought directly without request. Additionally, we noticed some staff members who did not adhere to basic food safety standards, wearing excessive jewelry and having excessively long fingernails. The open kitchen caused food odors to permeate our clothing.

I had the most incredible stay here! The amenities and accommodation were truly top-notch. Everything was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The hosts and all the staff were absolutely wonderful, so warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food was delicious, and the hospitality made me feel truly spoiled, especially on my birthday and throughout the long weekend. I could feel the love in every detail. I absolutely love this place and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous hotel with a modern, cosy design that fits with the Swiss alpine feel. We had an incredible view of the mountains from our room. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. The spa was also very nice and well-equipped. The location is perfect for getting to all the main areas of the village.

I did not let this affect the rating because I don't know if this is the hotel's fault, but the main entrance to the hotel felt like a bit of a death trap. It's a staircase directly on a very busy road that is just before a bend where oncoming cars don't have much time to see you. So unless you cross the road very quickly, it can be very dangerous. There was no pedestrian crosswalk, or a sidewalk we could get to. Luckily, there was a back way we always took instead although it took a bit longer. I went on this trip with my mother who is quite slow, so I didn't want to risk it.

The team and the breakfast

Very charming wood cabinets with an amazing view of the mountains. Excellent chef and quality of the food and beverage. Great service. Very nice facilities: pool, bar, jacuzzi and garden.

We just had back luck because the water sprinkler was all night hitting the walls and roof of the cabin. It was impossible to sleep with the noise and we were not able to comunícate with anyone at the reception to turn it off. The hotel staff is very friendly and they apologize for it.

Location is just amazing. The facilities were great and more importantly the staff is so friendly! The lady at the reception and the young gentleman at the breakfast were so nice, attentive, super hospitality! The dinner and the breakfast were also great! We will definitely go back!

Only finding the car park was a bit of a mission but we made it eventually!

Beautiful location in the Alps, accommodations are clean new and well maintained. Swimming pool and spa are wonderful especially after any outdoor activities. Staff is very friendly and helpfully. Breakfast was great!

Don’t book, I want to have availability when back. It’s not a hotel, of which there are many around, rather a home with a wonderful breakfast chef, who needs that? 👍😘

Honestly, the new kitchen. It used to be great and now it’s fancy French gastronomic cuisine. I know many would like it. Not us. The dinner, the brunch left us not satisfied. The breakfast however would have been good I think.

people were great. on site club was amazing. jazz one nite, comedy show the next and then a world class dj a third nite. pleasant 8 minute walk to the ski lift. and really enjoyed the personalized service at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

we are very picky but honestly it was a great place. maybe they could do a better job shoveling the snow from the sidewalks on the property, it did get slippery.
