Hotel suposadament d 4 estrelles.....???? Durant el dia no hi ha ningu amb qui parlar, nomes hora d'esmorzar, el propietari passa d contestar wsp,vem estar 6 nits i nomes ens vam canviar tovalloles i fer el llit 2 dies, pero el lavabo ni tocarlo, els sofarets del pati interior decolorits i vells, l'esmorzar justet justet, en fi a la zona hi han molts hotels segur millors ,si us podeu estalviar palazzo scamacca aixo q guanyareu.

Ich war 5 Nächte dort und das Zimmer wurde nie gereinigt. Frühstück war auch nicht herausragend.

The apartment was nice, well-equipped, and in an excellent location right in the center of Catania. The breakfasts were very tasty and varied—you could find much more than just a traditional Italian croissant and coffee.

Unfortunately, the end of our stay was a huge disappointment. At 10:43 AM—a full 17 minutes before the official check-out time—the Italian woman from the breakfast area, who also handled room cleaning, banged loudly on our door and screamed "get out." We were just about to leave anyway, but this aggressive behavior terrified our children, who didn't understand what was happening.Fortunately, there was another, very lovely lady from the property working at the breakfast area. I finished our check-out with her, as I had absolutely no desire to interact with the aggressive staff member again. While the second lady was wonderful, the incident left a very bad impression at the very end.

Tastefully renovated and great location. Spacious apartment with great facilities for cooking if you need. Amazing breakfast and we also ended up having dinner at the restaurant which was delicious and well-priced. Staff are so kind here!

Palazzo storico, camere eleganti, pulito, posizione centralissima, ma tranquilla perché diverse camere affacciano su corte interna. Ottima la colazione.

Lokalita, milý personál, pekné prostredie, vybavenie apartmánu.

Sprchový kút bol dosť zanedbaný, po osprchovaní z neho tiekla voda na podlahu kúpeľne. Nábytok na terase bol v hroznom stave. Bola tam jedna stolička a stôl ktoré boli dosť opotrebené. Na niektorých miestach bola popraskaná omietka na stenách apartmánu.

Υπέροχο δωμάτιο, τέλειο κρεβάτι και στρώμα, καταπληκτικό μπάνιο. Πολύ ωραίο πρωινό με εξαιρετικό όλο το προσωπικό. Έκθεση φωτογραφίας (με πανέμορφες φωτογραφίες) στο περιβάλλον του ξενοδοχείου από έναν πολλά υποσχόμενο φωτογράφο. Όλα ήταν υπέροχα!! Συγχαρητήρια!!

Friendly staff, clean bed linen.

A total disappointment, not worth the money! We were deeply disappointed with this accommodation, especially considering the rental price of around €1,300. The photos in the listing were likely taken when the apartment was brand new, as the reality is unfortunately completely different. The cleanliness and hygiene were below all standards! There was mold in the corners of the showers, and the kitchen featured a greasy extractor hood along with heavily limescaled dishes and a limescaled kettle. To make matters worse, we were welcomed by ants in both the apartment and the kitchen, so we didn't use the kitchen at all. The walls of the upstairs room were marred by saltpetre (damp) stains. The air conditioning units were filthy and weak, completely unable to cool down either the bedroom or the upper floor. On top of all this, the amenities did not match the description: the oven had been removed, and the advertised washing machine didn't even have a designated space, let alone exist. For this amount of money, you would expect premium quality, but this place failed to meet even the most basic standards. For half this price, you can find much cleaner and more sophisticated apartments. We brought all of the above to the host's attention. As compensation for the inconvenience, they gave us a complimentary dinner. While the dinner was delicious, it does not fix the disappointment or the discomfort, it won't make the AC or the shower any cleaner! We do not recommend this place to anyone!

Tolle Lage, sehr angenehmer Innenhof fürs Frühstück, Räumlichkeiten sind sehr großzügig und teilweise wunderschöne alte Strukturen.

Konkrete Angabe wann die Rezeption besetzt ist und gleich den Verweis, dass man zu bestimmten Zeiten anrufen soll.

Schönes Gebäude, super Innenhof. Ruhig aber sehr zentral gelegen. Unser Zimmer hatte herrliche Deckenhöhe und Stuck.

Uns hat alles gefallen. Bei der Ankunft mussten wir uns durchfragen um den Eingang zu finden. Man könnte vielleicht die Tür anschreiben?

Das Palazzo ist wunderschön. Die Einrichtung ist relativ puristisch - wie auf den Bildern erkennbar, aber das passt zum Flair. Es war sauber und man hatte seine Ruhe. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und proaktiv. Die Lage ist mega. Man ist quasi mittendrin :) Restaurants, Spätis, etc. und ein Lidl ist knapp 7 min Fußweg entfernt. Gerne wieder!

La localisation, la terrasse avec incroyable vue, la climatisation, la propreté, les équipements, le lieu en lui même, le pti dej délicieux, le restaurant en bas de la chambre incroyable bon, les gens de l’établissement hyper sympa et cerise sur le gâteau ils parlent français !

Die zentrale Lage ist ein doppeltes Plus. Der späte Check in war ohne Schwierigkeiten möglich. Sehr schönes Zimmer.

Gorgeous room and very comfy bed. Great location and helpful friendly staff. We left early so didn't get to experience breakfast but the bistro bar was a lovely place for glass of wine in the square.

The shower gel could do wth an upgrade for the price of the room. Smalll thing, but at this level it was noticeable.

Location was great. We were upgraded to a larger apartment which was huge.

We were not met at the property and our messages to what’s app were not read. Luckily there was a cleaner onsite who let us in. The room was not ready even though we had asked for an early check in which had been confirmed.

Beautiful location and bars and restaurants right out your door. Such a great ambiance. Staff were lovely and breakfast was great.

Breakfast was great! Very large selection of local treats and different fruit every day - coffee was awesome too! The location is 10/10, you can walk to practically everywhere. There are quite a few parking spaces (blue lines) nearby, but the streets can be hard to go through with a larger vehicle. The building is a classic high ceiling like you see all through Catania, is recently renovated and it's the first one we find in this city that has an elevator. The room was very spacious, as expected based on the photos. Staff were friendly and spoke english.

The only minor issue were the A/C units which had clearly seen better days. They made some noise as they struggled to cool the very large room, but it didn't take away anything from the experience from us. Wouldn't stop me from visiting again!

Perfect location. Restaurants and bars outside your door are very good. Perfect to spend a warm evening having a drink at the bar connected to the accommodation. Staff are wonderful. The views of Mt Etna from our rooms were next level!

El personal es la esencia de este establecimiento. Amabilidad, y buen servicio. El apartamento realmente es muy cómodo y está bien equipado. Nos dieron facilidades para un check-in tarde.

La frecuencia de la limpieza, quizá sería un pubto a mejorar. Pero por decir algo.

giga appartement op de bovenste verdieping, met toegang tot dakterrars, prachtig zicht op de Etna en de zee. Heerlijk en niet duur ontbijt beneden in het restaurant. Zeer centrale ligging.

Vraiment un superbe endroit. Bon accueil, tout le personnel est aimable et accueillant. Possibilité de laisser ses bagages si arrivée avant l heure. J'ai pu avoir la chambre 4h30 avant. L'appartement était très propre, bien décoré, c'est raffiné. Bouteille d'eau dan le frigo. Petit-déjeuner complet dans la cour . L'arrêt du bus pour l'aéroport est à 5mn. Le palazzo est au coeur du centre historique (- de 5mn de la piazza del duomo). J'ai aussi gouté le restaurant, belle expérience. J'ai vraiment aimé cet endroit, je le recommande. Le propriétaire parle anglais, bonne communication via whatsapp.

El palacio está en una plaza con mucho ambiente y restaurantes. Es muy bonito y el restaurante que hay está muy bien. Está muy cerca del Duomo en pleno centro. Las señoras que sirven el desayuno muy amables. El desayuno estupendo. Sino hubiera sido por ellas no habia nadie nunca en recepción.

Eché de menos la comunicación con la persona que se encarga del hotel. Cuando llegué no habia nadie y un señor del restaurante fe enfrente tuvo que llamar y encargarse. No estaba la contraseña del wifi, hasta el dia siguiente que me la dió la señora del bar porque se la pedí. Yo estaba en una habitación, no en un apartamento, y estuve 8 noches y en ese tiempo ni hicieron la cama ni la limpieza de la habitación, ni siquiera me preguntó nadie si hacia falta, cosa que no sabía. Además hubo fiestas por la noche, eso no me importó, hasta que se hospedó un grupo que estuvieron gritando y montando escándalo en el hotel hasta las 2 de la mañana y no había nadie para llamarles la atención. Tampoco funcionaba el frigorifico y no habia ni un gancho para colgar las toallas

Nice modern apartment in old palazzo. Enter though lovely courtyard. Bistro restaurant adjacent where nice continental breakfast provided each morning by 2 lovely ladies. In great location near to historical sights and with many other lovely restaurants nearby.

Checked in online but didn’t receive any follow up instructions for accessing apartment. Tried contacting host by phone, WhatsApp and through booking.com but no reply. Met a lovely lady who doesn’t work for host but who helped us out by ringing him and getting us a key.

Solide Unterkunft für Kurzurlaub! Wir hatten eine Terrasse mit Blick auf eine Kirche und den Ätna was wirklich toll und einzigartig war! Das Personal war sehr freundlich, der Check in problemlos und das Frühstück sehr lecker. Alles wurde frisch zubereitet und serviert!

The only positive aspect is the central location.

Catastrophic organisation. No proper check-in, no clear information, and nobody on site — everything had to be handled through multiple phone calls. The hotel interior is bleak and feels more like a prison than a hotel. In the evening, there was a concert in the inner courtyard. The music was extremely loud, making it impossible to sleep. After complaining, alternative accommodation was arranged, but it was far less convenient for my airport transfer the following morning.

Fantastic, stylish apartment in a great location close to the historic center and with lots of really good restaurants nearby. The palazzo's own bistro was excellent.

The locatjon was superb, easy access to anywhere in the city. Piazza Scammacca itself was lovely so no need to wander far. The roof terrace with Etna views was a definite highlight, lovely to have that space in the city centre. Apartment was spacious and having 2 bathrooms helped with group stay. Breakfast provision every morning was lovely and the staff were helpful.

I didn't mind it but worth pointing out, should families stay, but there were events and parties in the hotel courtyard each night (we stayed at a weekend) which went on late. Not sure what other rooms were like but we could hear it. It was a bit strange having to walk through these to get to our apartment building.

Troppa confusione durante le due notti. La stanza B, che si affaccia sul cortile, è molto penalizzata per via degli eventi e rassegne e discoteca che ci sono stati durante le mie due giornate di soggiorno

Die zentrale Lage und der großartige Blick von der Dachterasse waren etwas ganz Besonderes. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Catania lässt sich von der Wohnung aus fußläufig sehr gut erkunden. Man befindet sich beim Verlassen der Anlage sofort im spannenden Umfeld der Altstadt. Tolles Erlebnis!

Wir waren 3 Tage mit 4 Personen im Apartment und hatten nichts zu bemängeln.

Located in a lovely area of Catania with many restaurants and bars nearby. The property is set in a beautiful old courtyard which had a DJ play one evening. The facilities inside were as advertised and we had a comfortable stay there, modern and minimal, good for a family of 4 with twin beds for our kids.

Palazzo Scammacca ist viel mehr als eine Unterkunft! Man wohnt in einem alten, wunderschönen Palazzo, der vom Besitzer, einem wunderbaren Gastgeber, selbst geführt wird, und in dem es außerdem auch eine Winery, ein Restaurant und ein Theater gibt. Die Lage ist absolut hervorragend im Herzen von Catania gelegen, nur max. 5 Minuten vom Plaza Duomo mit dem Dom und anderen interessanten Sehenswürdigkeiten und der Fußgängerzone entfernt, bzw. einem öffentlichen Parkplatz für das (Miet)Auto. Verlässt man den Palazzo, so befinden sich rund um einen herum herrliche Restaurants und Bars, wo es teilweise abends auch Livemusik gibt. Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse wirklich toll. Viel frisches Obst, selbstgemachte Marmeladen, die der Hausherr aus seinen eigenen Früchten selbst zubereitet, und herrliche selbstgebackene Kuchen. Das Servicepersonal ist diskret und keinesfalls aufdringlich. Der Gastgeber, wirklich überaus nett, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend war auch über WhatsApp erreichbar. Wo gibt es denn das sonst? Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass wir uns in diesem Ambiente überaus wohl fühlten, wo nicht hunderte andere Touristen herumschwirren und es schon beim Frühstück laut und turbulent zugeht.

Es könnte nachts bei offenem Fenster etwas lauter werden, da man die Livemusik vom Innenhof (wenn es eine Veranstaltung gibt) oder vom Piazza Scammacca hört. Uns hat das nicht gestört. Außerdem war pünktlich um 23 Uhr immer Schluss.

Due to the weather the breakfast was served in the bistro which is always very good with attentive staff. Great location. Clean rooms with great shower. Quite a large terrace. Just around the corner from the airport bus.

This only applies to Apartment 1. The terrace suffered from splattering with black grease coming from large metal pipes. This got onto the furniture and, occasionally, my clothes. This should have been addressed before my stay.

The stay at Palazzo Scammacca has been great. My room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The bed was amazing; I slept very well every night. The Palazzo is situated in the best location in Catania, very close to all the important places to visit: the Cathedral, the Massimo Bellini Theatre, the Palazzo Biscari, Via Etnea, restaurants, pastry shops and the airport bus stop. The breakfast is very good, varied and of high quality, with fresh fruit, homemade cakes and scrambled eggs or omelettes prepared on the spot. Everything was delicious. I would like to highlight the kindness, sympathy, and attention of the staff and the owner at all times. I highly recommend this place.

Only having one key/fob.

Wir durften schon um halb 11 (statt 15 Uhr) in die Wohnung, was super war. Auch das Gepäck konnten wir bis zum Abflug sicher dort lagern. Das Apartment ist hübsch, das Schlafsofa bequem, die Terrasse oben bietet einen Blick auf den Ätna und hat 2 Liegestühle. Das Frühstück war gut, neben den vielen süßen Sachen gibt es auch Käse und Omelette. Das Personal spricht hauptsächlich Italienisch, ist aber super freundlich. Die Lage ist perfekt, man ist in 2 Minuten mitten in der Stadt und umgeben von Restaurants. Der Bahnhof ist 15 min zu Fuß entfernt, der Flughafen auch nah.

Es gibt zwar einen 2-Plattenherd, aber weder Pfanne, noch Topf. Kochen geht also nicht 😉. Mikrowelle und Kühlschrank waren aber sehr praktisch. Es ist abends recht laut durch Straßenmusiker oder Musik von unten, das sollte man wissen, wenn man hellhörig ist. Und unbedingt Mückenstecker mitnehmen, wir hatten 7 Mücken im Zimmer durch das offene Fenster nachts und sind zerstochen worden.
