We were told we could park on the street but not that we should pay and for a 40 euros fine. The next morning it took us 20 minutes to find a parking slot with a working ticket machine in a street that did not feel safe.
See above the parking. Although it received good reviews, breakfast was very average.

Il est prévu une navette pour l’hôtel-la plage aller et retour. Me suis inscrit le jour avant… Organisation insatisfaisante, j’ai même dû payer la navette du retour 25€, ce n’était pas le deal lors de ma réservation auprès de l’hôtel. Évitez de mettre « plage » sur vos équipements, car vous n’êtes pas capable d’avoir un suivi professionnel d’une réservation. Mis à part cette déception, ils sont gentils…

En nuestra habitación faltaban unas zapatillas de estar, y algún accesorio de cortesía . En el gimnasio, la cinta de correr se trababa y era un peligro. Las otras máquinas iban bien, aunque es pequeño.

Die Zimmer sind leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Möbel stark abgenutzt. Hier wäre eine Erneuerung wirklich sehr angebracht. Aber am allerschlimmsten war , ich hatte jetzt zweimal ein Zimmer nach hinten mit Gittern vor dem Fenster. Das geht ja gar nicht. Man fühlt sich nicht wie im Hotel sondern wie im Gefängnis. Schade, hier steckt hinter der guten Idee sehr viel Potenzial.

Organized a trip to the beach for us via their sister hotel - The Romano Palace - which included a shuttle transfer, beach towels, private a beach access with sun lounges and umbrella (all complimentary). We enjoyed our stay.
Bathroom could use some attention to detail making sure all plumbing bits and pieces are in good and proper working order..

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026We stayed for a short time in Hotel Romano House, and were excited to explore Catania. The rooms are very large and well kept, we were impressed with how big the beds are, and the fact there were two! The rooms had excellent amenities available and two different shower heads as well, which all contributed to a more luxury feel. The breakfast was also enjoyable with a good selection of food and drink and, it was open later which I appreciated-sometimes I find hotel breakfasts close far too late! That being said the staff were very hot and cold, we dealt with some staff members who were very polite and kind, some who were very cold. Especially when checking in it was a very frosty atmosphere and I started to worry we were in the wrong place! It wasn’t the best first impression. One thing guests must be aware of, and this is to no fault of the hotel, it is located in a rather interesting area. Let’s just say if you’re here for a certain kind of pleasure tourism, fantastic, if you’re traveling with kids or as a solo female I’d probably check out a hotel somewhere else in the city. Overall a pleasant stay, but unfortunately some bad interactions let it down.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026J’ai été très déçue à mon arrivée. L hôtel se trouve dans un quartier mal fréquenté. Les draps étaient sale et la chambre vétuste. Traces au mur et sur les meubles. Nous avons changé d’hôtel dans la foulée mais nous sommes peut être tombés sur la mauvaise chambre.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig, angefangen von der Wurst und Käse Auswahl bis hin, dass man sich die Waffeln selbst zubereiten konnte (was für manche Gäste eine herausfordernde Aufgabe war, da die Bedienungsanleitung nicht gelesen wurde, aber das Personal immer gleich hilfreich zur Stelle war). Die sonnige Terrasse im zweiten Stock ist einfach zum Genießen da. Besonders hervorheben muss man den kostenlosen Transfer zum hauseigenen Strand mit inklusiven Liegen/Schirm, da es ein zweites Hotel Romnano direkt am Lido gibt und der Weg dorthin schon etwas weit ist, sehr gut!
Die tägliche Zimmer Reinigung könnte umfangreicher sein, trotz dass wirklich täglich die Handtücher gewechselt wurde, ging diese sehr schnell und schade war das die Bar wenig besucht war, liegt wahrscheinlich an der hellen Beleuchtung.

Śniadanie oceniam jako 5/10 - było bardzo przeciętne. Obsługa hotelowa po zmianie na recepcji nie mogła się porozumieć w sprawie zapłaconego przeze mnie podatku klimatycznego co wiązało się z długimi wyjaśnieniami i niepotrzebną dyskusją - Włosi ;-)

Lo peor la llegada al alojamiento desde la estación central, se trata de una zona sucísima, deprimida y muy poco recomendable para un viajero y sobre todo por la noche.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026L'hôtel est tres agréable, le personnel tres aimable. La chambre qui nous a été attribué était spacieuse, tres calme, bien équipé et le balcon a été un plus. Le petit déjeuner est très bien servi, beaucoup de choix, tout été tres bon.

Le petit-déjeuner avec des œufs brouillés les plus secs que nous avions jamais vu et ceci 3 jours de suite. L'isolation phonique de la chambre : on avait l'impression que la fenêtre était ouverte.

First room (superior) was very noisy. After complaining the hotel moved us to another room which was quieter. Breakfast was inconsistent for quality and choice Rooftop terrace (which was advertised as a big feature) was not open Transport to the airport was very disappointing - we were dropped 200 yards from the terminal and charged more than the hotel advised (they said it was a fixed charge)

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026Calme, propre, chambre bien insonorisé, personnel discret et tjs souriant. Attention à 20 mètres à côté de l'hôtel sur la rue, quartier des prostituées. Pas gênant mais mal fréquenté le soir.
Volet roulant ne fait pas du tout l'obscurité.

Moglo je da ima raznovrsnije hrane za doručak, da u sobi postoji pegla i kuvalo za vodu.
