Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Die Lage ist einmalig schön und sehr ruhig. Die Gebäude sind historisch und prächtig. Das Personalt ist sehr nett und hilfreich, auch im Restaurant. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, im Rahmen des Preises. Der Raum ist nicht zu gross, aber das Badezimmer ist sehr gut ausgestattet und gross.
Der einzige Nachteil an der tollen, abgelegenen Lage, ist die Tatsache, dass man das Auto braucht, um irgendwo auswärts essen zu gehen. Aber es ist natürlich auch möglich in der Unterkunft am Abend zu essen.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Die Unterkunft ist für Geschäftsreisende gänzlich ungeeignet. Nur eine, sehr versteckt gelegene Steckdose, die ohne Adapter nicht zugänglich ist, kein Internet auf dem Zimmer. Die Rezeption sollte bis 19.00 Uhr besetzt sein, um 19.05 war niemand mehr da, somit gab es auch keine Möglichkeit, nach einem Adapter zu fragen.

The weather was very hot when we were there and the room had no aircon so unfortunately as much as we loved everything about the hotel, we just struggled to sleep a little bit. The bathroom was also down a flight of stairs rather than ensuite - not a problem for us, but wasn't made clear at time of booking and I feel that it should be highlighted given that it is so unusual.

De familiekamer was enorm warm en dan is 1 ventilator vrij beperkt als je met 4 personen op de kamer slaapt.

Der Denkmalschutz verhindert wohl Insektengitter am Fenster. Das WLAN ist nur umständlich zu nutzen. Das angekündigte „Buffet“ zum Abendessen war vielversprechender, als die Wirklichkeit.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Calm and tranquil, beautiful building , wonderful scenery high above lac leman Staff welcoming and a perfect place to come after a busy day sightseeing . It is a retreat as well as a hotel so you respect the calmness of the place and it in turn makes for a peaceful haven after a busy day The dinner it’s a set menu no choice but three course and tasty and for Switzerland the price is very reasonable. The breakfast is included in the stay price and is varied and and the view from the dining room is rural . The room price for Switzerland is also very good and actually it is a quirky Place full of character which I like as so many hotels are bland . It has cloisters and a chapel and a meditation route in the grounds . I think for a short drive up from the lake thru winding vineyards it’s well worth the fifteen minute drive to stay in such a stunning building with a history behind it. It’s close to the Charlie Chaplin museum which is worth a visit about 15 mnsbin the car . I’d certainly stay again if I was in this area .

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Such a peaceful location. The food and service were excellent. We canceled one day's plans just to spend the day there. Beautiful, large property with good views. Shuttle service helped to reach the train station.
Make sure to ask for a taxi service if you arrive at night. The hotel provided a great driver upon request. Walking with suitcases is not advised.

The serenity, the gentleness of the picturesque rolling hills, the open-heartedness of the genuine staff, the balance of contemporary and history, the glass elevator, the wonderful buffet, together with a super matrass, excellent showers, and the silence of the wifi free bedrooms. It all adds to an atmosphere of inner peace and joy. Parking is free and shadowy, excellent during this hot summer. Was there for Swiss national day, and the hotel had put on a free tyrolienne! Awesome!

В Швейцарии очень дорогой интернет-роуминг, а в отеле гарантировано покрытие WiFi только в местах общего пользования. В номере он практически отсутствовал. Ну и хотя бы небольшой холодильник и телевизор не помешали бы.

Des yeux d’une profondeur incroyable. De très, très beaux cheveux. Et un charisme digne d’une centrale nucléaire. C’est parti, jeune homme. En avant, courageusement. Mais j’ai oublié… Les fusibles avaient sauté…
Tu ne comprends pas l'anglais ? Vous faites encore ça en 2026 ? Ça faisait très années 90, mais bon. C'était en fait dû au caractère alambiqué de mon compliment et au fait que j'avais complètement oublié ta langue maternelle, celle du fond du cœur. Si je devais recommencer, je ferais ce que j'avais en tête. Malgré tout : un petit sourire aurait apaisé mon incertitude. Je n’avais quand même pas l’air si sérieux que ça 😅
