Reviewed Jun 3, 2026This apartment with a small balcony attached would be right up there in our top 15 places we have stayed around the world for views, different aspects remind me alot of New Zealand, Canada, Great Barrier Reef, parts of Australia Maldives, Fiji, England, USA, France, etc, etc, The apartment is very well eqipped kitchen was clean had all mod's of home for an extended stay, apartment had a fan cooling tower which seems to be lost on Europeans especially the hot month's where you need air circulation to cool the room down, Short drive to shops, restaurants, there was a grocery store which was a 10 min walk and a couple of restaurant's as well, overall a well presented place with a couple of minor hiccups, Beds were comfortable enough bedroom was clean and medium size, Lounge area was clean and small with a little dining section, bathroom was compact but not clean,
Bathroom shower area was pretty dirty needs a super clean with bleach or acid wash refer photos, some of the kitchen benches and doors had small stains on them not properly cleaned, definitely had to have the balcony doors open and bedroom window open for air circulation as it was 28-31 degree days and 15-20 degree nights only issue was the mosquito's are pretty rife, there was a mosquito wand in the utility cabinet but we had to buy large D size batteries if we wanted it to work but not worth the expense for a few days,

Reviewed May 4, 2026Es gibt vermutlich keine bessere Lage über dem Lac Léman. Die Aussicht ist die Champions League! Weltklasse und ein Fest für alle Sinne. Die Natur rundherum ist ein Traum. Wir haben einige Wandertouren direkt vom Haus weg unternommen. Zudem ist es sehr ruhig (trotz der Strasse weiter unten). Wir durften den Vollmond am 1. Mai über dem See erleben. Es gibt nichts Vergleichbares! Die Wohnung selbst ist klein, aber angemessen und es ist alles vorhanden.
Die Wohnung allgemein ist klein, aber zu zweit reicht es absolut. Die Küche (z.B. Geschirrspüler) sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2026La vue sur le lac à 180° est incroyable ! l'emplacement est top, au calme au bout de la rue (contrairement à certains commentaires nous sommes passés sans difficulté avec un SUV et nous avons reçu de la visite de ma famille qui est passée en van sans problème), et en même temps proche des grands accès autoroute pour Lausanne, Montreux, Gruyère,... La literie est confortable, et l'agencement de la chambre nous a permis d'installer facilement le lit de voyage de notre bébé. Nous avons pu déguster une superbe fondue dans le logement grâce à l'équipement disponible sur place (juste à racheter le combustible) L'hôte met a disposition des tickets de transport en commun le temps du séjour, nous ne les avons pas utilisés mais c'est très gentil.
Peut être rajouter des plats a four pour cuisiner (nous avions ramené les nôtres après avoir lu dans les commentaires qu'il n'y en avait pas sur place). Le lave vaisselle est un peu bancale à l'ouverture mais reste fonctionnel. Attention 1: pour l'élimination des déchets : il n'y a qu'1 seul sac plastique sur place, apportez les vôtres ou achetez-en, et pour les mettre a la benne à ordures il faut acheter des sacs taxés du canton (vendus uniquement par 10pieces, 19,50CHF à la coop) -> nous avons finalement rapporté nos déchets avec nous. Attention 2: les prises de courant suisses sont différentes de la France, elles ont 3 fiches. Vous pourrez brancher sans problème des prises à 2 fiches comme un chargeur de téléphone par exemple; mais impossible de brancher un chargeur d'ordinateur (prise terre ronde) sans adaptateur France->Suisse. Il n'y en avait pas sur place, nous avons dû aller en acheter un (disponible chez coop ou migros).

Reviewed Jan 18, 2026La situation du logement à l'écart de tout autre habitation au milieu des vignes. Mais à moins de 10 minutes à pied des commerces et de la gare. Le calme et le silence du lac en dessous. La vue est exceptionnelle. La carte de transport gratuit de Lausanne à Montreux offert par la région et la propriétaire.La propreté du logement. Toutes les facilités pour cuisiner. En voiture l'accès rapide au réseau d'autoroute ( vignette obligatoire).
En étant un peu pointilleux, il manque une cocotte et/ou des plats au four. Mais il y a tellement de bonne recommandations sur les divers restaurant autour, cela n'invite pas à cuisiner.

The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. The host was extremely kind and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely return!

Reviewed Jul 18, 2025The location is fabulous! Located with breathtaking views of lake Geneva. The host was very helpful and kept in touch throughout our stay. We had a lovely bottle of red wine on arrival and all the basics like toiletries, basic cooking stuff, water etc were included. We didn’t bring the right adaptors with us and the host kindly lent us some, which was really appreciated.
The bathroom felt a bit “ tired” and could have been cleaner.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2025The view from the balcony is amazing! The apartment is located in a small town where locals live (not a tourist area at all). The hosts was very nice and helpful. We had a car so it was very easy to get to and from the apartment, not sure as far as trains and taxi. The apartment is about 20 minutes from Montreux and about 50 minutes from Geneva (by car). We would definitely recommend staying here.

Reviewed Nov 6, 2024The apartment was wonderful for two adults . Was very clean and well supplied for daily needs. The bed was extremely confortable and we slept like babies. What was breathtaking, was the small balcony that had a magnificent view of Lake Geneva, the alps and the vinyards . The community of Pirdoux was lovely and very friendly. The location was wonderful to experience the coast of Switzerland and two fabulous cities, VeVey and Montreau. We will be back.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2024Absolutely everything! Awesome view of lake, mountains and even city lights at night…from every room! Great use of space made it super comfortable! Bright and airy—-just a wonderful feeling. You won’t want to leave! It is also within walking distance of great breakfast and pastries as well as a COOP and pharmacy. Hosts are especially wonderful, welcoming and warm! We will be back!
