Nice Centre Hotel

In the shower cubicle a rubber mat should be provided as it can be very slippery and could easily cause a slip resulting in broken bones! I asked at reception but they could not help! This is very necessary especially with seniors of which we are!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel is in a fantastic location in Nice. Near the station, near the shops. A short walk to the Promenade, beach and old town. We also loved to rooftop bar and pool. The staff were all lovely too, nothing was too much trouble. All so friendly and helpful.

Maybe some improvements around the pool area.

It was quiet at night, lovely roof top pool and bar. Good breakfast.

Rooms need some refurbishment. Tatty paintwork and carpets need replacing / steam cleaning. Bathroom was dated.

Location is good.

The twin room we had booked and paid for months before was not available, We were given the choice of a double room with 2 blankets or nothing. Staff were very dismissive of the situation.

Het hotel was super gehorig, we sliepen er 5 nachten en elke nacht hadden we last van onze bovenburen. De bedden waren ook vrij had maar die hadden ze wel geprobeerd om al zachter te maken door een extra dekentje erop te leggeb

C'est un hôtel dans lequel nous séjournons annuellement. La localisation (5 minutes à pied de la gare et à environ 15 minutes de la plage) et la piscine sur le toit sont les atouts principaux de cet endroit, la gentillesse des agents d'entretien et de l'équipe du bar également. Les chambres sont grandes.

L'hôtel a changé d'enseigne, le tarif semblait plus élevé qu'à l'ordinaire or, les équipements étaient moins fonctionnels qu'à l'habitude (un ascenseur sur les trois était en panne, une fuite d'eau dans le couloir qui mène aux chambres apportait une odeur désagréable, une patère dans la salle de bain était non fonctionnelle) et notre enregistrement s'est moins bien passé car on ne retrouvait pas notre réservation (ceci dit nous avons réservé par Booking alors qu'habituellement nous passions directement par l'enseigne précédente.)

Sehr gute Lage, saubere Zimmer, bequemes Bett, Badezimmer hat für Französische Verhältnisse eine gute Größe, Personal freundlich und Frühstück war in Ordnung. Rooftop Bar war sehr gut und schöne Aussicht. Zimmer wurde jeden Tag sauber gemacht. Für einen Städtetripp ausreichend.

Der Pool ist sanierungsbedürftig, aber sauber und kühlt bei Hitze. Die Eierspeise war aus der Packung, da hätte ich mir eine frisch gemachte gewünscht.

It was quite nice. Simple but tidy and clean.

We had a bedroom for 3 people and the third persons bed was pretty uncomfortable as it was simply the couch.

Gym was old and all the upstairs area was very run down with loose tiles everywhere and loose decking. Couldn't eat in the pool area even quite away from the pool. Only one lift was working while we were there and considering it only fits about 4 adults (2 with luggage) meant for long waits for the lift.

The location on Avenue Notre Dame is just excellent - in the middle of all the shopping and restaurants, and right next to the trams. The rooftop pool area is great.

Some parts of the room looked a bit tired but it wasn’t terrible and overall a good stay.

Nous n'avons pas pu dormir jusqu'à très tard dans la nuit à cause de la sono des événementiels organisés par l'hôtel au roof top avec un niveau de décibel hallucinant parfaitement audible plusieurs étages sous le sommet du roof top, sans parler des chaises et tables déplacées probablement au même niveau, car les chambres possèdent de la moquette. Bref, un séjour infernal à cause du bruit nocturne admis par l'hôtel. Compte tenu du prix payé, il serait correct d'avoir le café servi dans des tasses et non dans des gobelets en carton. Cela serait plus cohérent, d'un point de vue écologique. Une partie de la terrasse du roof top est sérieusement endommagée et non sécurisée de même pour une marche d'escalier qui mène à la piscine qui est endommagée et non sécurisée. Les ascenseurs sont tombés plusieurs fois en panne.

The hotel was situated in the city centre, close to the train station. Lots of places to eat and shop around it. It is a nice walk or tram ride down to the sea front and Promenade des Anglais. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy plus staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a roof top bar - which was good. A swimming pool and gym (which we didnt use) We had two rooms which were both clean, tidy, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good lots of choice. I would stay here again.

The bar and breakfast was nice

Staff where unhelpful. Had a fire alarm 3am in morning no staff around to inform us if we can return to room. And no guidance as how too get us back to room. Tried to charge us extra for a breakfast we had already paid. Very unhelpful at front desk. Booked a city view and was told we got an upgrade to a garden view and couldn’t be moved but not what we wanted.

The property was in a good location, it was less than 10 minutes from the train station and tram station. It was just under 15 minutes from the beach and old town. The shower was great, plenty of hot water with a huge rain shower head.

The roof top pool didn’t have enough beds for those wanting them. It was also looking tired up there. The corridor to our room looked in need of renovation. Our room had the smallest wardrobe and a hard bed.

Personalet i lobbyen kunne vært mer gjestfrie og serviceinnstilte. Hotellrommet var romslig og stort. Veldig bra renhold daglig, og god airconditin men det kjennes litt innstengt ut når det ikke var et eneste vindu på hotelrommet som kunne åpnes. Bar området/ basseng området på taket var litt nedslitt. Treningsrommet var dårlig, ingen aircondition der og det var bare glassvegger ut mot bassengområdet på taket. Det var veldig varmt der når det var sol.

Het was een heerlijk verblijf. De locatie was heel goed. Binnen een paar minuten lopen op het station en ongeveer 15 minuten lopen naar het strand of nog sneller met de tram. De kamer was erg schoon en het personeel hielp goed! Wanneer we nog eens naar Nice komen gaan we graag terug naar dit hotel.

Da localização.. o hotel pertencia a outra rede, infinitamente melhor que a atual O que ainda é bom é a localização.

Quase tudo. Colchões e travesseiros totalmente anti-anatômicos, café da manhã empobrecido em qualidade. Não há mais copos de vidro, máquina de café expresso. Além do mais, falhas injusticaveis como a não-limpeza do quarto. Uma enorme decepção!

La situation géographique et le monsieur du bar qui était très chaleureux

Deux ascenseurs en panne pour 8 étages d'hôtel , insecte dans la salle de bain , piscine mise en beauté sur les photo mais bien moins agréable au réel . Accueil à l'arrache , la réceptionniste était à l'ouest complet , Et nous a même encaisser une deuxième fois le upgrade. ( rembourser après s'en être rendu compte )

Nous n’avons pas pu récupérer la chambre avant 16h45 au lieu de 15h car elle n’était pas prête. Et le bruit persistant de la chasse d’eau nous a gênés toute la nuit.

Roof top pool was lovely and much needed, nice to have towels available and the bar area was nice.

There were 3 lifts 1 of which didn’t work after 9:30pm, 1 of the lifts broke down, then the other one next to it broke down and the third stopped working due to the time. Had to ask at reception how to get to our floor, no signage. Got charged on arrival even though I had already paid through booking.com, if I hadn’t checked it wouldn’t have been noticed. Shower in the bathroom was absolutely appalling. There was hardly any water coming out of it and when it did it was either boiling hot or freezing cold. We had to wash our hair under the tap. Not what I’d expect from a Marriott hotel being charged so much. Rooms felt and looked very tired and could do with some attention.

Brilliant central location within walking distance of all the sights and right in the centre of the shopping district. The train station is also a 5 minute walk away. The roof top bar is well worth a visit too.

Rooms are basic but fine as you wouldn't be in them much with so much to see and do. You can't open a window so are reliant on air con.

Paying €9.50 for a Heineken. The breakfast was poor. The floor tiles around the pool seriously need fixing.

El aire acondicionado solo funciona bien en la recepción, días de mucho calor se hizo difícil dormir! El gimnasio se encuentra en la terraza sin aire acondicionado imposible ir!

Sehr gute Lage, top Frühstück inklusive - sehr positiv.

Leider war es im Zimmer sehr feucht und mangels Balkon konnten nasse Sachen über mehrere Tage nicht trocknen. Zudem war die WC Spülung sehr laut und hat alle paar Sekunden neu geladen - auch in der Nacht.

Great location and super kind staff. The pool and pool bar is just what we wanted and the food served was also good value if you didn't want to eat out.

Shower was just a little awkward, stepping in to a bath, then shower head was at an angle. For me personally a good walk in shower would be preferred

Location was great for both the station and to get to the sea. Size of room was good - it felt spacious. Added bonus of a rooftop bar and pool which were great to visit after a day sightseeing.

A little pricey but I think this is general to Nice.

This is not a very good hotel. The beds were so uncomfortable, they are ROCK hard worse than camping. I had to montage my own ’matress topper’ by sleeping on top of the duvet to try to get some comfort. Felt like some sort of endurance text not a holiday. If ok hadnenh paid up front I would have changed hotel I am a frequent traveller and not particularly picky when it comes to beds so not a ’me’ thing. We were 7 friends staring and 5 of us ended up with back pain/ had sleep issues. Also, the hotel looks nothing like the pictures, the decor is very dated, the room didn’t have beside tables on both sides of bed, sparse/thin bedding, mini fridge was on but not working. Bathrooms super basic The picture of the gym / pool area is misleading too. None of that equipment you see in the pictures exist. There if no jacuzzi, treadmill, exercise bike etc… there’s a tiny glass box on roof with some yoga Mats weights and a broken rowing machine that’s it. Checking in process was a nightmare we had to wait for hours, and wasn’t even offered a glass of water or coffee while waiting. When we finally got our room it still wasn’t ready. The only redeeming f6eature of this hotel is that it has a pool.

Mostly updated urban-style hotel in the midst of Nice. For a tourist, this location -- which was on the gritty side -- was a bit far from the action on the Promenade/waterfront and Old Town. Front-desk staff members were mostly helpful and friendly. The pool area, a rarity in Nice, looked okay, but the path to find it was circuitous. The breakfast buffet was substantial and of high quality.

Karige inrichting kamer: maar één nachtkastje bij twee bedden! Geen ( salon) tafel! Koffie en thee faciliteiten op te grote hoogte ( 1.60 m) op een kast met te klein oppervlak. Bij het ontbijt: zeer klantonvriendelijke grote , zware muesli , cornflakes etc potten die van een plank op 1.70 m hoogte moesten worden getild om er iets uit te kunnen nemen Badkamer: netjes maar douchen moest via een smalle ingang en hoge instap in het bad. Voor een kamerprijs van bijna 300 euro per nacht eigenlijk onacceptabel! Idem de goedkoopste plastic bekertjes.

Hotel is a bit run down, and we had to wake up 2:30 and 3:00 am for fire drill during 2 of 3 nights staying there. Very annoying

Rooms are comfortable, reserved a mini suite and it’s spacious. Location is good. My issues are that there are no English channels. Not even smart tv to where we could watch Netflix or something. Also the AC system is poor, room is not cooling and that is not acceptable.

We stayed at a cheaper hotel in Cannes, before we got here. That hotel is much superior to this hotel, particularly as regards the actual room. On the positive side for this hotel, I would mention the excellent location; the rooftop pool area; the outside patio/ garden outside our room on second floor; shower was good as was the breakfast. The staff were friendly and keen to help. What pulled the rating down( I seriously considered a 2 star rating) is the following: Wi-Fi weak; no drawers in bedroom AT ALL; bedside tables small ( one tiny); wardrobe very small and only 4 hangers in it; only one chair in room ( we were 2); not enough power sockets for today’s needs; no bathrobes; decorations in room and throughout tired; shaving/make up mirror in bathroom broken; wasted space in bathroom, no bidets but space for two ! ; TV has no English Channel, we had CNN and Sky news in our Cannes hotel.

The hotel is in such a lovely location, within walking distance of everything. The pool and rooftop bar is gorgeous too.

Many of the rooms have been updated, unfortunately ours hadn’t and didn’t live up to the photos online. Also we often waited a long time in reception to speak to staff.

What we liked : Nicely located off a major shopping street. Nice breakfast but the eggs were cold 2 days in a row. Lovely rooftop bar and coffee place alongside the pool, with a good view of city. What we didn’t like : air conditioning did not work first night, but they fixed airco by 2nd day. Small room, and no upgrade for a platinum member or at least Mngmt thought an upper floor was an upgrade. No early check in as requested after a long transatlantic flight, except by a few hours. They would not take our American Express Marriott Bonvoy card for deposit, and then messed up the bill by charging my friend’s Visa card, instead of the Bonvoy card I booked hotel with . Some hotels should not be in the Bonvoy group if they cannot acknowledge long time platinum travelers. We should have stayed at our family’s local hotel favorite

Nous avions une chambre privilège ( rénovée et avec petite terrasse vue sur la ville et l’église). L’hôtel est à 7 minutes à pieds de la gare de train et au coin de jean- médecin. On peut donc marcher facilement jusqu’à la plage/ chemin des anglais ( environ 20 minutes). Le fait d’être tout prêt de la gare est très bien si on souhaite se déplacer en train pour visiter la côte, super facile pour la plupart; villefranche a 5 minutes, Monaco, Cannes, Menton, Antibes, etc. Calme pour dormir.

Os funcionários da portaria chegam a ser desagradáveis, não fazem o mínimo esforço de entender o hóspede e dar informações. Essa avaliação não se aplica aos funcionários que atuam no café da manhã, principalmente a Gabriela, brasileira muito prestativa e simpática.

Funcionários que atendem na Portaria mal educados e grosseiros. Camas velhas e desconfortáveis, travesseiros idem. Banheiro vazando água.

We booked because of the rooftop pool - but we never swam in it. Checked it out on our first day and never saw it again. We went to the beach instead. Beach is amazing Hotel is a 15 min walk to the beach, less than 10 mins to the train station and about 20 mins to Old Town. We walked everywhere - didn’t use the tram at all Breakfast was very good - lots of choice. Room was very large with a verandah that overlooked the street/church. Room had everything you need. Hotel is a bit dated and old. Hallways are showing their age - chipped paint everywhere. The door to our room was the same - needed repainting. The bathroom is a horrible brown that was fashionable 500 years ago apparently. Lifts are old and daggy. Pool area also looked like it needed a revamp - looking a bit old and tired. We were annoyed that check in is at 3 pm - but we had to wait till 3.45 pm because our room wasn’t ready. Probably won’t stay here again simply because we wouldn’t make use of the pool and we’d stay a bit closer to the beach.

4 night stay. Hotel is a well used city centre hotel. Ideal location for exploring Nice as all attractions within in a 15min walk. Rooms are adequate with all you need, plenty storage in the wardrobes for clothes. The beds are hard but we still managed to sleep every night. We were room only so I'm unable to comment on the breakfast. Staff are friendly and we're able to answer questions when needed.

The room was good size a little tired and could benefit from a second chair . The location is so central to everywhere, and all transport.i enjoyed the breakfast and selection , especially the selection of breads.

Would also have liked a second chair in bedroom.

Long waiting at reception, and 1h waiting for check-in. Room was available 1h after check-in time. Staff offered a drink and free breakfast the day after, which is very kind but it is still a long waiting

The bed was so Hard and bad I had to sleep on the pullout sofa bed and still had back issues in tje mornings. Staff did not care. Breakfast was nothing special

Lage ist top. Mitten in der Einkaufsstraße, Lebensmittelmärkte sind ums Eck und der Bahnhof oder die Tram sind keine 500m entfernt.

This is a very central, clean and well-maintained hotel, with friendly and competent staff. Breakfast was very good, and you can see the main street (Jean Medicin) from some of the tables, this is very good for people-watching! There is a very nice garden with chairs up a round staircase opposite from where the breakfast room is. I liked the rather cheery decor of my room. The reception area could perhaps be updated, but I suspect that as the hotel seems to be moving from the brand Mercure to the brand Marriott Bonvoy this probably will soon take place.

The hotel was in a good location. It was clean, the staff was welcoming. The rooms were spacious and we absolutely loved the rooftop! It contained a pool and gym and a cute area to relax with a bar and options to dine. The decor was nice and there were several areas to hangout. I would recommend this stay.
