We have used this hotel numerous times over the last 15 years. We’ve had a graduation party there, a friends wedding reception. When we had no power, we stayed here. And my daughter has had a midsummer slumber party with her girlfriends here every year for the last 6 years. We have always enjoyed our stay and the staff is super friendly (for the most part).

The carpets desperately need to be replaced. There weren’t pool towels both times we went down and it took three trips asking for towels to get them. They did not clean the pool area as there was a towel from the day before and was in the same spot it was the night previous. The elevators handrails fell off the wall three times. The wallpaper is peeling in so many spots. The lampshade was filthy.

We have made this hotel our home when in Lansing for the last 15 years. A lot has gone down in quality. Many things in the room not kept in good condition. Example, bathroom door scraped along the floor, cabinet door on fridge side didn’t shut, both waste baskets dirty and rusty. The whole place both inside and outside the room needed the carpet cleaned. Quality of breakfast has gone way downhill, also not as much to choose from.

The breakfast was still cold and I got down there at 6:22 so I had to use the microwave to warm it up. Also it is hard to spread frozen butter/margarine on toast. The timing was not good.

It is becoming ran down. Furniture is the same as it was 15 years ago when we stayed there, peeling. Does not feel as comfortable or safe as it once was.

Not clean at all. Dim lighting in bathroom, sliding doors and balcony were filthy!!! Poor excuse for a hot tub in pool area. Kept having to get key card recalibrated.

It was not clean at all. Our first room smelled like a dead animal, you couldn’t even walk in. The staff said they had to “check it out”. I had to argue to just trust me and give me another room. The sheets had spots, the carpet was dirty. It is absolutely awful.

It was very dirty. The furniture was visibly soiled and had visible stains on it, the hotel smelled like weed, there were dogs roaming around, and the rooms smelled like air freshener.

Off the freeway and had a pool

Stains on the couch, blankets. Loud barking dogs in the lobby. Lobby floor was digesting with trash. Smelled like marijuana in the lobby and hotel rooms. Very strong room freshener covering up the nasty smells. I get instant headache from chemical scents. My family couldn’t even stay at the property. The clientele was so rowdy and with the drugs I didn’t feel safe to have my kids stay there. At least 4 different families had to leave there and book another room at a different hotel to feel safe.

The Ambiance Was Decent.. They Could’ve Cleaned, The Outside Of The Property A Little Better. You Can Tell The Disarray Of The Property, As Soon As You Walk Up To The Frontdoor Entrance.

Out Door Key Kept Malfunctioning, We Had To Keep Asking The Front Desk Person.. To Rekey Our Keycard. At One Point He Told My Husband, That They Weren’t Going To Give Us Anymore Keys. Like It Was Our Fault. And Then My Husband Wanted, To Wash Some Clothes.. And The Washer Malfunctioned. They Had To Reimburse The Money, Back To My Husband. We Ended Up Going To A Public Laundromat.

Location was great, right off the highway. Easy to find. Restaurants were close by for a meal. Morning coffee was good.

Breakfast was less than desirable in the morning. And bed was stiffer than I prefer but bed comfort differs for everyone.

This hotel is in need of an update. The carpet is worn and dirty. There were burn marks in our room. The sink drain didn’t work. The furniture was older and worn.

They gave us keys to room that we're already occupied. With three women in our group, we walked out. We didn't feel safe staying in a hotel where they were giving out keys to occupied rooms.

Continental breakfast was great. Motel room was clean and comfortable.

There are restaurants in the area and a farmer's market close by. The hotel is outdated but our room was clean and everything was in working order. The staff was friendly and greeted us right away. I would stay here again since its close to family that I was visiting

This place smells like it flooded and they kept the carpet. It’s dingy and so many things were visibly rusted in our room. Not sure where the room is that is pictured, but it’s not like the room we were assigned. We weren’t able to cancel our 2nd night without a penalty fee (so we’d be out the money we paid for 2 nights PLUS a fee???) so we just stayed with family on night 2 and returned Sunday morning to “check out.” Please pay attention to reviews because it appears many of the positive ones are fake.

Must be a Franchise. DIRTY. We were only there 1 night and I never want to go back. The only reason I am not giving it one star is bc I believe the sheets were clean and the bathroom looked clean. The sofa was so stained up that I put bath towels on the cushion (bottom+back) We didn't use any ice...see pic. At Bkft the lady watching the dining room told my husband that his service dog has to go back to the room. I educated her on federal law, nicely and she was very accommodating afterwards but really? The ADA law was passed in the 80's. Last but not least, we had to switch rooms bc the toilet got clogged and the front desk told us that the housekeepers had gone home. We asked for a plunger and we could unclog it ourselves. After an hour it was decided to move us. It is very annoying to have to pack up your toiletries and other stuff just bc a hotel with over 50 rooms can't find one stupid plunger. Go buy one for Pete's sake!!!

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. The floors were stained everywhere and everything from the hallways to the rooms smelled HORRIBLE. We were given 1 towel for 4 people. I would rate this less than 1 star if I could.

Room was worn out, tired, and not very clean. It just is in extreme neat of updating with new carpet and furniture.

When you lie down on the bed you can feel the springs. The pillows were so small and uncomfortable. Never again in there.

This hotel was very dirty and poorly staffed. Carpet was very stained. Trash on the floor in hallways. Overflowing trash in the breakfast room so everyone left trash on the counters. Sticky substance on lock in room. Room phone didn't work. No staff at front desk.

This was an awful experience. I am beyond upset and dissatisfied. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in

Room could have been cleaner. Also hallway carpeting is old and dirty. Man at desk had an attitude. I had trouble understanding his foreign accent and he was annoyed. I don’t have a problem with newcomers to our country and I try to understand and be courteous. I also understand that he would become annoyed with me but that isn’t his job. I tried more than he did.

It wasn't as clean as other hotels we've stayed at. There was mold around the tub and the carpet was filthy. The breakfast was ok but I've had much better.

We booked 2 queen beds and received 2 double beds. The sewer backed up into tub when showering. When spoke to front desk they just said oops sorry. People yelling all hours of the night outside our doors.

First room tv didn’t work. Second room remote didn’t work. Ice machine with mold all over. Hallways carpets stained. Plus was not informed until checking in that a deposit was required as opposed to having your card on file.

Very easy check in with very friendly staff. Clean room,, nice grounds to walk your dog.

I was charged a $375 cleaning for smoking in a room which I did not smoke in. I did clean out my purse and discard an empty pack of cigarettes into the garbage which I presume is why they thought I was smoking.

Property is a bit run down. Clean but old. Could defintiely use an upgrade.

Sam the manager was awesome when checking in, he’s a great guy. Pillows are way too tiny and I asked for more but they didn’t have any. Ice machines were broken and our sink was clogged. Checkout on hotels.com said 12 noon. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 10:55.

What a tired old dump. The room was quiet but carpets in hallways were stained and disgusting. The breakfast only offered two cereal options and the baked goods and bagels made me wonder how old they were. Overall it was gross.

The water stream was low on the bathroom sink. I think they could’ve picked up our old towels. They were stingy on the toilet paper.

I have stayed at this property more than 8 times in the last three months and everytime the room is clean and smells good. Towels were thick and fluffy and the shower soaps were well stocked. Even though the property is older and the carpet in the hallways needs to be replaced, the room itself stands out much better. Clearly a case of don't judge the well travelled areas as what your room is going to be like. The staff is friendly and management is always smiling and inviting.

Nice place but it needs updating. Everything is just worn and needs to be replaced or repaired. Other than that the staff was great and the room was clean.
