Das Zimmer war zu klein und hatte keinen Schrank. Sehr schlecht wenn man mehrere Tage nächtigt. Teppichboden sehr unvorteilhaft. Nicht mehr Zeitgemäß. IBIS habe ich besser in Erinnerung.

Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Ruim ontbijt; lekker vers brood. Jammer dat een van de twee koffiemachines stuk was, daardoor rijen voor de machine. Overigens is de ligging van het hotel prima. Een paar minuten lopen vanaf het centraal station en aan de goede kant daarvan, dus geen junks voor de deur. Wel veel restaurantjes in de buurt - en de zeilscheepjes op de Buitenalster. In tien minuten loop je naar het centrum langs de Binnenalster, een mooie route.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Very nice hotel. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Price was very competitive. The room was small, which is quite common for Europe. But contemporary. Very tall ceilings. The bed was larger than expected and semi-comfortable. Bathroom was fine. Room was clean. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes and no. Again it's complicated as it was really nice but what was going on outside of it wasn't. BUT, it's also close to the main strip of art museums and a huge scenic lake, Aussenalster. And it is close to the main train station. So if you do need to use public transportation or pick up some groceries or food it's quite convenient. It's a trade off.
Room was tight to move around in. I tended to keep bumping my legs on just about everything in the room. And the lamp on the wall by the desk? Seriously, terrible location as every time I stood up I bumped my head on the shade. Location. Here we go. I had a street side window. And I thought because of the location on a small street it was going to be quitter but this was not the case. Very noisy, all night long. Lots of traffic and noise from people on the street. Including screaming, yelling, people going through metal trash cans at three in the morning and more. And you are closer to the main train station which brings more people on drugs and crime closer to you. I only had an issue with this on a couple occasions. But I was surprised at how different Hamburg was from some other larger German cities when it comes to the homeless and drugs. I saw multiple people smoking crack on the streets and some people looked and acted like zombies.

Nachts war eine starke Lärmbelästigung durch Züge feststellbar. Ich musste mir Ohrstöpsel besorgen um überhaupt schlafen zu können! Mal gab es zu wenig Gabeln zum Frühstück; die Maschine zum Zapfen von heißem Wasser für Tee war an jedem Morgen meines Aufenthaltes defekt...

Die Zimmer waren viel zu heiß, Klima funktionierte nicht. An der Rezeption hat man den Eindruck, dass es kein geschultes Personal ist.

The pillows were not very comfy, the bathroom was quite small and there wasn't much storage to put things away/ no security safe in the room for valuables which I've come to expect in most hotels. Comparing this hotel to some of the others my friends were staying in - i paid more and got far less. It was a bit disappointing. Luckily didn't spend a lot of time there so was fine for a short trip. Would not recommend for longer stays. I had also emailed them weeks before the trip and never got a reply. Service at check in and check out was good and the cleaners were friendly. But management should have replied to my query.

Air-conditioning didn't work meaning we had to sleep with window wide open, which was fine for the 15 minutes throughout the night that trains were not running past. Shower was not draining for us but this was rectified with industrial size plunger. Ultimately a good room in a good location but would have been improved significantly were we able to have a little bit of quiet for sleeping.

Nur mit Kreditkarte mit Pin , und mit einigen EC Karten zu nutzen. Keine grössere Unterstützung durch anwesende Mitarbeiter. Für ältere Hotelgäste teilweise ein No Go.

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026Die Lage ist einfach top fussläufig zum Bahnhof und zur Aussenalster. Viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Dennoch kann man nachts ruhig und im klimatisierten Zimmer schlafen.
Ich werde nie verstehen warum Kinder immer nur ein klappriges Beistellbett bekommen. Da sollte es besser Möglichkeiten für Familien geben. Frühstück übertrieben teuer, da gibt es viele Alternativen rundherum.

Und uns dann 2 Zimmer in getrennten Häusern geben wollten. Nach kurzer Klärung wurden wir auf 2 Etagen verteilt. Nicht optimal für uns. Manches Personal könnte freundlicher sein. Betten okay. Internet WLAN sehr schlecht vorhanden. Zimmer haben wenig Komfort für einen Kurztrip in Ordnung. Frühstück war super. Alles vorhanden was man sich wünscht. Lage am Hauptbahnhof in der Nacht mit Kindern nicht optimal. Am Tag okay.

Pokój był czyszczony pomimo wywieszenia kartki, by nie czyścić. Trochę za twarde łóżka. Źle założona kołdra, która lata po całej poszewce. Przy tej cenie spodziewałbym się już czajnika w pokoju.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Das Hotel ist in einer gepflegten, ruhigen Lage, nur wenige Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt. Ideal auf der Durchreise. In wenigen Minuten ist man auch am Ufer der Alster, an dem man einen schönen Spaziergang machen kann. Klimaanlage ist in diesem heißen Sommer ein Plus.
Das Farbdesign des Zimmers (Braun-Rot) und die Ausstattung fand ich etwas merkwürdig und nicht sehr freundlich gestaltet. Für eine Nacht ok, für einen längeren Aufenthalt nicht mein Geschmack.

Extrañé alguna cafetera en la habitación.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Zoals in de meeste reviews staat is de ligging in de stad Hamburg geweldig. Vlak bij het station en praktisch aan het water van de Alster. Ook de medewerkers maken hier het verschil. Het ontbijt was prima verzorgd.
Ik vind de kamers aan de kleine kant. 16 m2 voor 2 personen met alle bagage voor 7 dagen is krap. Ook de aankleding doet gedateerd aan: vaste vloerbedekking is niet meer van deze tijd. Het meeste last hadden we van de lift in gebouw 16. De lift werd altijd automatisch naar de bovenste verdieping gestuurd en het duurde bijzonder lang totdat hij naar beneden kwam. Vanaf de begane grond naar boven duurde vaak ook heel lang omdat men soms meerdere keren de kaart moest gebruiken voordat de lift in beweging kwam.

Das Bad war etwas Eng. Zu wenig und enge Fahrstuhl. Ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer wäre super gewesen.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer auf der Rückseite des Hotels. Bei gekippten Fenster waren laute Zuggeräusche. Eine Lüfteranlage (Tiefgarage?) ging Nachts immer wieder an. Und am nahegelegenen Park waren Personen, die keiner sehen will.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026Yövyimme Ibis-hotellissa interrailillä yhden yön. Hotelli oli helppo löytää ja se oli erittäin lähellä rautatieasemaa. Huone oli siisti ja sängyt mukavat. Emme ottaneet aamupalaa aikaisen lähdön vuoksi.
