Novotel Phuket Resort

We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Phuket Resort in Patong Beach and were very happy with the overall experience. The location is excellent – close to the beach and the main services in Patong, yet the hotel itself is in a peaceful area without the typical nightlife noise. This made it easy to enjoy both the lively atmosphere of Patong and relaxing moments at the hotel. Our room had a fantastic sea view and we were able to enjoy beautiful sunsets over the ocean, which made the stay even more memorable. One of the highlights was the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Everyone we met was welcoming and attentive, which made our stay feel very comfortable. The hotel was also very clean and well maintained. The buildings are not brand new, but they are definitely not in poor condition either and everything felt properly maintained and taken care of. We especially appreciated the breakfast, which offered a good variety and a great way to start the day. Another positive detail was that smoking was not allowed everywhere, which helped keep the environment pleasant for all guests. A very convenient service was the transportation between the hotel and the shopping mall area. The shuttle runs both from the bottom of the hill up to the hotel and back down again, which made moving around very easy and convenient. If there is one small improvement point, the sound insulation in the rooms could be a bit better. However, this did not significantly affect our stay. We would definitely stay here again. As a suggestion, it could also be nice if the hotel occasionally organized some local cultural program or entertainment for guests, for example once a week. Overall, Novotel Phuket Resort is a great place to stay in Patong Beach and we would happily return.

Service is very poor for the price charged. We had to wait until 11:30 PM for our son’s bed to be prepared, and housekeeping didn’t clean the room until 5 PM, which is far from acceptable. If a hotel wants to charge 4-star rates, it should also provide 4-star service. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel, and we will not be returning with our family.

We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Resort 🌿✨ The open spaces are absolutely beautiful and perfect for families — our kids loved running around and enjoying the fresh, relaxing environment. The views are stunning and truly add to the whole experience. A special mention to the Kids World team — especially few,run,Opal and Cream — who were incredibly warm, caring, and friendly with the children. Their kindness made a big difference, and the kids felt so comfortable and happy. Overall, a very kids-friendly hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. Our little ones had an amazing time, and so did we ❤️ Highly recommended for families!

The entertainment team, led by Tok, provides a fun and varied program. The kids party is especially highly recommended! Beat and Four did a fantastic job and guided the children wonderfully through all the games. They were enthusiastic and engaged, making sure everyone could join in and had a great time. There were also always tasty drinks and snacks available for the kids, which made it even more enjoyable.

Great Place, don't walk up there is an elevator. Found it perfect distance between hustle but still close enough to walk

I stayed there on February 3-8 for 3 nights at pool access room 701. Actually pool access rooms three were not fully sea view which covered with tennis court wall and bamboo trees.But nice architectural design idea which attached with pool access changed to valuable favorite rooms for guests. It was amazing staying at prime location and got warm hospitality . All staff were helpful. Room was spotless clean and comfy as well. Daily breakfast and afternoon tea time service were excellent and perfect. Shuttle service to shopping center was great service. Drivers were very friendly and helpful. Lobby and entrance gate shuttle service was great and comfortable as well. I would like to advise you that between building 6&7 steps need to replace as wheelchair access small slope .It would be more comfortable for wheelchair access guests and all luggage carrying . During my stay, I unfortunately found floating one black sock at near my pool access area.It was flying debris from other guest rooms . And then some guests unfollowed the dining room dress code. I saw one person with bare feet and wearing only short pant at breakfast time. Someone brought cake and snacks plate to swimming pool near V-lounge as well. Overall experience was awesome and my pre 28th wedding anniversary trip was amazing.

This hotel is an ecological disaster. There are about 10 light switches in the room for 12 light bulbs. The sun beats down on the windows, and you have to keep the curtains closed all day. The superior room overlooked crumbling tennis courts. The chairs on the terrace were dirty. In a soup I ate at the restaurant, the price tag was still stuck to a piece of paper. This makes you wonder: are the vegetables even properly cleaned? As a guest, I was treated like a thief. While I was sick, I ordered plain rice from room service and had to pay the four-dollar bill immediately. It's a shame; I had fond memories of my first stay at the Novotel Phuket resort. That won't be the case this time.

We stayed for 8 nights and 9 days at Novotel Phuket Resort and had an amazing experience. The location is ideal—close to Patong Beach with stunning views, especially at sunset. Rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable for families. The pools are well-maintained, and the kids’ pool was a big plus. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with both local and international dishes. The staff were sooo friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and care for children was outstanding. Overall, a fantastic choice for families and couples. Highly recommended—we would definitely come back!

This hotel made my new year holiday absolutely amazing. The hotel rooms are spacious and housekeeping and room service has absolutely outstanding service. They’re fast, neat and clean and deliver service with a smile. Down by the pools you’ll find the Herring bar, amazing service there with Mr Ton, Mr Best and Ms Peemai, and great happy hour deals (missing my 2 for 1 already). Location for this hotel is right next to Patong beach where you can sip on your coconut and swim in the clear and warm water. There is a restaurant located near reception called the pinnacle sky bar, they were warm, welcoming and had such great food that I ate there two nights in a row! My only complaint is the wifi, which didnt always connect and was weak when it did, but this did not put a damper on this experience at Novotel as you keep pretty busy anyway! I can’t wait to come back to Thailand and know exactly where I’ll be staying <3

It was my third time staying at the hotel. We had a beautiful sea view room - it’s completely worth it. The staff was very pleasant and helpful - it makes a huge difference which makes you want to come back to the hotel. The service and food was excellent!

A lovely hotel with the most friendliest staff especially Arthur he couldn’t do enough for us as a family. Great location, short walk to the beach able to walk to the hussle and bussle if you would like ( great experience) or a couple of mins taxi ride. So much to do close by We booked for 2 adults 2 children 14 &12 , room quite small had king size bed with a small sofa bed for one. Had to share king bed with 3 people.

We had great stay at Novotel Patong, from staff, service to spa and amenities, everything was perfect! Special thanks to Arthur at the pool bar who served us our drinks and food at pool everyday, always smiling and being very polite. Breakfast was varied and delicious, the food at the restaurant excellent, we have a dream stay in Phuket! The architecture of the hotel is Thai traditional, a lot of green spaces, not crowded at the pool, or at breakfast, even if we travelled in peak season.

All staff were friendly, helpful, playful, excited and happy. The location of the resort is beautiful and is a calm desperation from the rest of Pa Tong. The room was very nice, A/C very strong with 6 free 500ml water bottles. Value is good. Overall, cleanliness of the resort is very good, with amenities being good aswell.

The perfect location with Novotel providing a great family atmosphere and exceptional clean environment. A very pleasant experience from checking in to checking out. The sports team lead by Tok did a great job keeping us busy with a special mention to Tok and Beat (my coach) the kick boxing was indeed a great experience. Breakfast was 5 star all the staff were very friendly, polite and professional anddid their outmost to make us comfortable. Amazing, one of the best experiences of my life, not only is there three massive pools. But the pools had there very on bar with very friendly staff and very yummy food. In terms of the accommodation fantastic with spectacular room service. Pro tip: order the slushy from the poolside bar it’s so good. 😍😃🤩

I was in room 903 with my dad, mom and sister. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and there are some people who were really nice to me. 1: Arthur. I think he was really nice and friendly at the bar. 2: Four. I also did the muaythai boxing lesson with him and it was fun. He also gives out the towels. Beat and Bank were friendly too. In the dinner, some things like butter chicken we ordered no spice, but it came out spicy. But overall, I really like this hotel. Bernard Czaplicki

We are extremely happy to have booked this hotel, as it ticks up all the boxes of our needs. The location is very good, just next to the best beach in Phuket. The pools are really nice. The views are magnificent. The opulent Thai architecture and decor of the hotel is yet another strong point. The food is very good. The rooms are good, although a bit worn out. The service is splendid. We had a small glitch with our room, as we got a king bed instead of two queen beds, but it was quickly solved. Speaking of great service, my son's favorite is Arthur - bartender from the pool bar. Our dinner yesterday at Pinnacle bar was a culinary feast. The chef really knows how to pamper his guests. They even have a car service for the guests who don't want to climb up from the beach. All in all - it's a place we can sincerely recommend!

What a fantastic resort! Staff are very welcoming and always willing to help with any question or request, or are even just up for a friendly genuine chat Frankie at the front desk is wonderful and was wonderful throughout our stay. He gifted My son a cute little elephant soft toy so that won him over immediately haha The resort has a great balance of family friendly vibes and adult friendly vibes also, offering breathtaking views of the shoreline of patong beach and up the shoreline of Kammala. Close to the excitement but at the same time tucked away from the hussle and bustle My son had a one on one Muay Thai lesson taught by Bank who was fantastic and very patient! They became good mates afterwards We stayed in a family suite, lots of room for the three of us to move around. Fresh linen and towels, clean and comfortable. About out to Lah who looked after us, absolute sweetheart. Would recommend to everyone!

Very nice stay throughout!!! Good location and helpful staff, specially the lady named Garfew :) Would recommend if you are staying with a baby and family. The only setback is that the property is old and there are mosquitoes and ants.

The loveliest staff; always so helpful, cute and kind. The best location; especially if you want gorgeous views, sunsets and sunrises, and still closeness to the beautiful Patong Beach and olso to the hustle and the bustle that Patong offers. And when staying here you can still get a quiet, comfortable good night sleep. The the most delicious foods and beverages; the tastes and varieties was many and they were good ones! Comfortable room; big bed, nice sofa, complementary fruits and snacks was very nice and not expected, ok bathroom but unfortunately I found the water in the shower to be to cold for my liking. Cleanliness in room and other hotel areas was great!

I stayed at Novotel Phuket Resort for 3 nights after attending a fitness retreat, and it was the perfect way to wrap up my time in Thailand. The views from my room of Patong Beach and the Andaman Sea were absolutely stunning — I could’ve stayed on that balcony all day. The staff were incredible — warm, funny, and always ready to help. Every encounter felt genuine, and I had a lot of fun interacting with them. The breakfast buffet was excellent too, with plenty of delicious options and great service to match. The team’s positive energy even inspired me to create a few cartoon-style posters capturing my favorite moments at the hotel — that’s how memorable they made my stay! Would I stay again? Absolutely. Between the views, the food, and the people, Novotel Phuket Resort isn’t just a hotel — it’s a slice of paradise with personality.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Novotel Phuket Resort. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We got upgraded so that was an added bonus! The 3 pools , gym , Muay Thai facilities were great. The rooms were very comfortable and the gardens, ocean views and sunsets were magical. We will stay there again for sure!

Booked a family room for 4 at the 4-star Novotel in Phuket… only to discover that “room for 4” apparently means 3 beds. Yes, one of us was suddenly bedless. Plot twist! Reception calmly told us this was fine and that if we wanted everyone to actually sleep in a bed, we’d need to pay for an extra one. Who knew? I certainly didn’t expect that booking a room for 4 might come with a surprise math lesson. Sure, it’s in the fine print on their website, but honestly… who reads that? And even if you do, who expects a 4-star hotel to pull a trick like this? Not me. In the end, we paid for the extra bed—adding almost 20% to our bill. The staff seemed oddly proud of their little revenue hack. I guess some people call it “entrepreneurial spirit”; I call it “sleep roulette.” So, families: unless one of you enjoys sleeping on the floor, I’d look elsewhere. Phuket has plenty of other 4-star hotels where 4 people actually get 4 beds—crazy concept, I know. Novotel Phuket: surprising, slightly amusing, but not exactly family-friendly.

We recently returned to Novotel Phuket Resort to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and it was an incredibly special experience, because this is the same hotel where we spent our honeymoon back in 2010. Fifteen years later, we were amazed to see that everything is still more than perfect. In fact, it’s even better. The hotel has beautifully maintained its charm, the tropical gardens and sea views are breathtaking, and the location is just ideal, only minutes away from the lively Patong Beach. The staff were absolutely amazing, just as warm and welcoming as we remembered. Every team member went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, from the reception to the restaurant, housekeeping and security team, everyone welcomed us with sincere warmth and kindness. A very special thank to the entire reception and front desk team, who truly made our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, they greeted us with smiles and genuine hospitality. They were always polite, attentive, and eager to assist with anything we needed. Truly one of the most professional and welcoming teams I have ever seen. The service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were exceptional. We loved the the relaxing pools surrounded by greenery, and the cozy rooms with the breathtaking view from our balcony. Returning here brought back so many beautiful memories, and we are grateful to see that Novotel Phuket Resort continues to offer the same quality and hospitality. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our stay unforgettable again. We will definitely be back again, and for sure much sooner this time! 💕

We had lah as a house keeper and loved her , all the staff were very accommodating. Will definitely be coming back. From reviews I read I thought it would be quite it would be quite dated and didn't find it that way at all. Awesome amenities for kids. My 5 year old just did a Thai kick boxing lesson and loved it and the staff that run it did amazing with the kids

What a wonderful time our family had at Novotel Phuket Resort. The entire resort is beautiful, centrally located and has beautiful views of the Andaman Sea. When we arrived and checked in, both our room and our daughter's room were not ready and we were asked to wait about 15 mins. One of the staff members, Frankie, came to apologise for the wait and offered each of us a complimentary drink and canapes. All the staff were wonderful throughout our stay but Frankie really went the extra mile to make our stay more comfortable and even offered us a late check out, which we gladly accepted. Very large property, spread out over a big area, on top of a small hill, having direct sea view. Service & staff are very friendly, courteous. Rooms are OK, large but a a bit dated, needs upgrade. Located at the end of Patong beach, good in sense that it is quiet, you get a mixture of ocean & hill view. Being up in the hill it is difficult to commute between room to lobby and to restaurant and swimming pool, needs internal buggy ride, which can be a bit challenging at times. Also commuting to main Patong beach required taxi booking every time, as the hotel shuttle frequency is very less.

It was a surreal experience.The architecture,atmosphere,staff were incredible.I would suggest everyone to atleast stay once in this hotel.The tour guide mr Tok was also really helpful and one of the best guides

A Major Disappointment – Not Recommended for Indians or Any International Travelers Our stay at Novotel Resort Phuket turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had at a so-called “international” brand. The property might look good from the outside, but the service, food, and overall management were shockingly poor. 1. Pathetic Indian Food & Terrible Menu Planning: The Indian food was almost inedible — tasteless, oily, and clearly made without care. The Indian chef seems to be perpetually absent, and the menu looks like it was thrown together by someone who has no understanding of authentic Indian cuisine or guest preferences. For a resort that promotes itself as international, this was beyond disappointing. The only decent thing we had were the Indian snacks, which were surprisingly good — but that alone cannot save the dining experience. 2. Housekeeping Below Even Basic Standards: Rooms were often left half-cleaned, towels weren’t replaced, and basic hygiene standards were clearly not maintained. You have to keep reminding the staff to do what should be done automatically. This is not what you expect from a property that carries the Novotel name. 3. Untrained, Non-English-Speaking Staff: Most of the staff could barely communicate in English, which made even the simplest requests a frustrating process. It’s unbelievable that a resort catering to global tourists doesn’t ensure basic communication training for its team. 4. Extremely Unprofessional Attitude: The resort actually charged us extra for a small bottle of milk for our baby — absolutely unacceptable and insensitive. On top of that, staff shamelessly expect tips for every little thing, even for bringing cutlery or a glass of water. It felt like every service came with an unspoken demand for a tip. 5. Overall Verdict: This is not a resort I would recommend to Indian travelers — or to anyone looking for genuine hospitality. The management is careless, the food department is a disaster, and the service is far from the standards of an international hotel. With so many better options in Phuket, I would strongly advise avoiding this property altogether. In short: Looks nice in photos, but the experience is a nightmare. Avoid at all costs.

Novotel is def the spot to stay in while visiting Patong Beach! Sak, Am, Bao, and Choo have been so welcoming and HELPFUL! I definitely will be back!

We had a wonderful experience at the Novotel Phuket Resort Location was perfect with easy access to beach and all shops. Pools were always well maintained by staff and we spent many times relaxing with a cocktail or two from the friendly pool bar staff. Reception/lobby staff/shuttle staff/security staff and spa staff always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The boxing sessions the grandchildren had were so much fun and they were always excited to do them. The kids party day was very well organised with games, party food and ice cream prices. Thank you to Beat, Bank, Pang, Four, Run, Jevi for your interaction with the kids always with a smile, knowing their names and fun times. The selection, quality and presentation of food at the breakfast buffet & restaurant was of a high standard. Compliments to the chefs and waiting staff. Rooms were comfortable, always cleaned well and never had to wait for cleaning, staff were always friendly with a smile. When one of our little grandchildren was unwell for a day staff called to checkup on his wellbeing and offered any assistance we may of needed and sent a fruit basket to the room. The spa staff were wonderful and hair treatment and massages were relaxing in a very peaceful environment. Looking forward to a return trip

We booked two pool access rooms they were beautiful and so spacious for our family. The hotel has amazing views from every side and very friendly and welcoming staff . The location is a little far from the main spot of Phuket beach. You have to walk down the hill and walk about 15 mins to get to the main centre of the beach. If only they could provide shuttle service to get you to the centre of beach would be more convenient for families.

Fantastic experience, filled with very friendly staff. Lah, Bird and Chet made our stay extra special with also surprising our youngest with a birthday cake. Easy check in, great breakfast and clean facilities. Kids loved the pools Will definitely be returning.

This was my second stay in Novotel Phuket Resort. Everything was so nicely arranged and made you felt at home. The staffs in the hotel were all really polite and helpful. Especially Molly, who made the checking in really smooth and placed me in a room with a beautiful sea view. Molly also made sure that I am really taken care of. Will definitely come back and stay again when I'm in Phuket. Great job to the hotel team for the great hospitality, especially Molly who made my stay comfortable.

The service was excellent and the people are really good specially Sak Eak and Ouan, the bell boys at the resort were very kind and helpful All other staff was also really wonderful. We came to stay at Novotel Phuket Resort with our two young children for their first trip overseas. The staff at Novotel Phuket Resort were so kind and treated them better than family. They went above and beyond to make our children happy and enjoy the trip. Our children did kickboxing classes and kids parties which they thought was so much fun. We felt very loved and did not want to leave. We will definitely be booking a trip back to stay here again due to the wonderful staff members and beautiful resort. Thank you to every single staff member from the staff at reception, breakfast staff, security, and pool staff, they were all so helpful. A big special thank you to our special friends Beat, Bank, Pang, Nando, Tok, Few, Run, Four, Jevi, Kinah, Hafis, and Sport. You made our stay so memorable.

Older hotel

Stayed 2 nights in August 2025 for a Patong visit (shopping, beach, clubbing…) and chooses this hotel for many reasons. First of all, I am ALL Accor member and got a great rate off-season. At check-in, the staff didn’t greet me as a member and this should be improved for next time. Not so friendly welcome. Secondly, the location is really nice and near the city but far enough to be in a quiet area out of town. No direct beach access but you could walk 5-10 minutes to it. Taxi or Grab car to Bangla Rd is about 200 THB one way. Tuk Tuk will charge you more. Thirdly, the room booked was a Deluxe Ocean view and it was offering a very nice seaview, large balcony and larger room. The bathroom was in marble, could have been renovated and more shower power. Overall, a very comfy stay. Mini-feisge and free WiFi very good. Breakfast was included and was a bit of a mixed bags. Nice seating aera outside with view but food choice was good not great. The buffet was not easy to understand the way to navigate into. Food choice could have been better (no crepes, no sushis, bread choice limited for a French style and brand hotel). 3 pools were nice but not enough sun beds if hotel would have been full. Water was cleaned by staff. This review would help you choose this hotel over another one I hope and we were satisfied regarding the price paid. Will consider this hotel for a next stay in the aera. Some room for improvement (staff attitude, cleanliness of the room and the pools).

I am currently staying at this hotel and it has been a very disappointing experience. The room is extremely noisy from the street, making it hard to rest, and it is full of mosquitoes which made sleeping almost impossible. On top of that, there is a constant engine-like noise inside the room all the time. The reception staff are very rude and completely unhelpful, showing no care for guests at all. The reality of the hotel is nothing like the photos online – it feels run down and uncomfortable. It’s so bad that I am already searching for another hotel to move to tomorrow morning. Definitely not recommended for anyone.

Everything was excellent we are family of 6. I’m toke my parents for experience to Phuket for their first time and me and my kids first time their too.we very happy with the hotel,the staff very friendly and smile very helpful. We will go back again.

It is a sprawling hotel up a big hill, overlooking Patong with beautiful views over its 3 layered pool. We were there celebrating my husband’s 50th b’day & they made him feel special by decorating our room & a cake. We stayed in a Family Suite near the pool with our 10&14yo - which was a spacious, clean 2 Bed x2 bath & kitchenette with gorgeous ocean views (but above a noisy street so wore earplugs) & had good A/C, black out curtains & comfy beds. The kids bathroom wasn’t the best design but our ensuite was huge with a bathtub. Staff are lovely & there was a great selection of food at buffet breakfast & the restaurants had nice food. We loved the basketball hoop & volleyball net in the pool & happy hour drinks by the pool.

The hotel is generally fine, but there are several areas that need improvement. First, there is no proper access for guests with disabilities. The hotel has very limited elevator access to the rooms, and getting to or from them often requires using a tuk-tuk. In addition, the rooms are relatively old and in need of renovation. There is also a persistent ant problem in the rooms — we complained twice, and although staff came to spray, it did not resolve the issue. Breakfast is decent but nothing exceptional. The hotel is located about 30 meters from Patong Beach and around 1 km from Patong and Bangla Road — roughly a 10-minute walk. Overall, it’s a nice hotel, but with some notable shortcomings.

We have been to Novotel many times and this time didn’t disappoint. All the staff are amazing, the kids loved the Thai boxing classes with Pang, Beat and Bank - such great energy. Our house keeper, Lah was also fabulous and took good care of us when we were all unwell and needed some extra help. Everyone is so friendly and we absolutely love coming here - we’ll be back again next year!

Great place, near to many amenities! It can be improved if the pool were open beyond 7pm (perhaps adults only!?).

The resort is 4star! Old style! Looks clean and well maintained. On the web search it comes as beach front However that isn’t quite true. I expected a direct access to beach but the reality is there is a road in between the resort and the beach. And the beach… no swimming allowed! I hope it is just this season! Good good! Bar - lovely guys! His name Mr. Best states his quality and clearly he is the best along with Mr. Ping. Overall, I would knock of a star because it isn’t a beachfront (at least as I expected)

We have had an excellent stay here in Phuket courtesy of Novotel. The staff have all been so welcoming and helpful and the rooms have been comfortable and kept. in particular, Mr Best and Mr Ping provided us excellent service and drinks in the lounge, for the whole family. drinks were delicious and we were even provided with complimentary snacks and extra drinks! very kind and friendly. I would definitely recommend Novotel Phuket again

I travelled with my father on 22nd Jul for 4 night 5 days... Hotel is very god. We took Sea view room... Very senic beauty.. polite staff. Free shuttle to market on fixed time 6 times in a day (limited seats, need to book in advance). In breakfast 2 to 4 indian ( veg/ jain )item like sambar idli, vada, paratha, upma. It's without onion. It 3 has swimming pool.. beautiful location.. u can sea sunset direct from ur Hotel Room. Patong beach is opposite to the hotel. Can easily book car or bike through Bolt or Grab App (like Ola) to go anywhere in Phuket... From gate, reception is on hight appprox 250 - 350 mtr, u can use in-house shuttle to cover this distance.. need to wait 5 to 15 min.
