Grand Hôtel La Cloche Dijon - MGallery Collection

Well run lovely hotel in a great location.

Central location & parking

Parts of the hotel are looking tired. Our bathroom had a shower in the bath but no screen meaning the floor got flooded everytime we had a shower. The towels were poor quality, ripped with holes in. Dinner in the main restaurant was disappointing resulting in my husband getting food poisoning & service not very efficient at all.

Wonderful hotel and great, very friendly staff!

All was perfect

Room was very nice. Nice view. Sofa a bit tired though. Amazing room service. Ambient colors were soothing and restful. Some english speaking TV channels, just for news or a movie would have been great but overall we had a lovely stay and a very fine breakfast. Parking the car was a bit crazy but the valets were very efficient. (We checked in on a very busy day)

Checking in with a car was chaotic. No where for us to park. Busy valets meant we got out our own luggage but was taken inside by the bellman. Just a busy day.

La literie de grande qualité

Great location. Central to main town centre, opposite gardens. Close to train/trams/buses. Rooms were well appointed

Shower over bath was difficult to access

Location was excellent. Breakfast was said to start at 6:30 but 3 days in a row staff was not ready for 6:30 customers. Looked like they were about 15 minutes behind. Had to call front desk several times for additional water which should have been replenished by maid staff.

See above and barely functioning AC. TRIED TO SET ROOM LOWER BUT SYSTEM WOULD NOT ALLOW IT. Should not advertise hotel has ac.

Le petit déjeuner, la décoration

Les oreillers, salle d’eau très petite

beautiful property, great location, helpful staff, lovely rooms, food unbelievable

this hotel is well located in the centre of Dijon. The room, the staff and the bar were exceptional. We will certainly come back and try to enjoy the restaurant as well. The garage is also worth mentioning as the allocated space per car is sufficient.

nothing

All of it

None of it

An excellent hotel in Dijon, very central and extremely comfortable. Staff were all excellent.

Bar and restaurant are overpriced.

Great hotel comfortable bed great location brilliant staff

Liked it all

Schade.

Excellent location. Nice, up-to-date facilities and rooms. There was a minor misunderstanding at check-in which was resolved by the great staff. Completely recommend this hotel for anyone, probably the best place to stay in town.

Restaurant was good

First room was a slit level with steep stairs which you had to go up and down to use bathroom/toilet We changed rooms and put into wheelchair accessible room where the aircon wasn’t working ( they did fix it) The location of room was close to road junction where cars were sounding horns from 17:00 to 02:45 . Very very disturbed night so we cancelled or 2nd night.

Great convenient location near the railway station

Nothing

Stunning hotel right in the city centre. Lovely courtyard bar. Large underground secure carpark with lots of Porsche destination chargers that also charge Tesla’s. Nice little spa / pool. Amazing staff.

Super friendly staff Great breakfast

The best location just a short walk from the train station and unmissable grand facade. Also very close to a tourist bus pick up and the marvellous sights of Dijon. The staff were welcoming and seemingly knew my name before I said anything (my train was late). One nice receptionist booked a hairdressing appointment for me the next day, very grateful! I asked for a wine bottle opener for a bottle I bought in the fabulous covered market on the Saturday morning and a delivery of a ice bucket with ice and a human bottle opener soon arrived. Very comfortable bed and looked out onto the garden.

The banging front doors of some neighbours in the hallway in the early hours, perhaps the doors could be soundproofed.

Dinner

This was one of the nicest hotels my wife and I have ever stayed at in Europe. From the time the bellman approached us on the sidewalk to help us with our bags until the table was cleared after breakfast on our final day, the service here was impeccable. The rooms were very large for European standards and wonderfully clean and modern. The location of the hotel is superb, being only a few minutes walk from the train station and right at the entrance to the main pedestrian area in the city. Oh, and that breakfast... do not miss it!

Calme

good ambiente Nice rooms EV charging and parking good food

nothing

This is a very good hotel. The location is excellent - next to Dijon’s old town and best tourist sites, the best restaurants and bars, and the shopping streets. We had a suite - luxurious, spacious and modern. The bathroom was good with great amenities. Check-in/out was efficient. Breakfast was good with an ample and high quality spread. The bar and the restaurant have a good wine list. Food at dinner was good not exceptional. The service - both in the room as well as in the bar & restaurant was quick and efficient. But the hotel has little soul. All the people were polite, helpful and efficient. But the smiles were artificial and there was little warmth and genuineness - that’s why a 4 and not a 5 rating. Will still recommend the hotel as the best luxury option to explore Dijon.

Beautiful building in the centre of Dijon, staff were very friendly, room was excellent, bed very comfortable and air conditioned which was great during the heatwave.

Nothing

Lots of pluses. It's a lovely building in a great location. Our room was quiet at night and pleasant enough with a comfortable bed, a well-appointed bathroom and separate loo, and excellent air-conditioning (it was 39C while we were staying!). Breakfast was tasty and a good experience, sitting in the pretty garden. Most staff are friendly and efficient. However, some niggles. We had a major problem with the deposit card authorisation process, the details of which are too tedious to go into and was only rectified and refunded by the hotel following a heated 'discussion' and after one member of staff bluntly told me that I needed to go away and sort it out with my bank! Other issues? A light snack meal in the bar took over an hour to arrive  - it seems there's a shortage of kitchen staff. For both problems, we were offered a complimentary drink, but I'd have preferred such problems had not arisen! Another evening in the bar, there was massively loud music pounding from an adjacent function room - hardly relaxing.  Plus, there was irritating maintenance noise in the next room to ours on various occasions. If we'd been staying in a B&B at €100 per night, no problem, I'd willingly take these issues on the chin, but this is rated as 5 star and is much more expensive. A handful of tweaks and I'd say this hotel would justify its star rating and hefty nightly price tag.

We really liked the front and also the side. Around the back is even better where there is a big white teddy bear robot which looks as though it serves table but it wasn’t switched on. Our room was lovely with a view and smelt of Chanel No5 and pink champagne corks, which funnily enough my wife collects and sends to friends and relatives after carving and painting them to look like a monk’s genitalia. Everything is within a minute walk of Darcy which is near an arch named after a Triumph British motorbike that Winston Churchill used to take girls out on when was very very drunk. Great hotel with lots of history on its door step.

It was all good.

Location and the room was great as were the staff and dinner. Valet parking also very helpful

Nothing

Everything especially their quiet restful patio/bar/restaurant in the back

The service at their famous gastronomic restaurant could be better

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff

Can’t complain about anything

The hotel is really beautiful and very elegant. The staff were very helpful. The bar area was pleasant and the breakfast really good. The room was very nice and the bathroom modern and clean. The room faced the garden so was quiet. The location was excellent- just a very short walk into all the main sights in Dijon. The valet parking was ideal. I would definitely stay here again.

Nothing

Location. Friendly bar staff with good knowledge of local history and wine regions. Comfortable bed.

Shower over the bath with no curtain or screen to stop water splashing onto the floor. No venting in the bathroom. Air conditioning didn’t appear to be working in the room or heated towel rail.

Kleine kamer, geen bad

The high standard of food in the restaurant was exceptional.

The quality of the pillows they were too soft.

Great hotel in an amazing location. Easy walk to everything we wanted to see. Service was outstanding. We were in a “superior” room which was very well designed. The lounge bar and outdoor patio are an excellent spot to start/end your day. Incredible value for the cost. Would highly recommend.

Comfortabele kamers. Kortom, we zouden hier zo weer verblijven.

Nada.

Nice rooms , comfortable bed , great service , nice bar, charging stations for EV,s good breakfast

Couldn't sleep with open windows bc of traffic noise
