Hotel is of a very high standard, great room and service was excellent. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good.

Very loud street noise until 6am in the morning significantly disrupted sleep. Rooms require much better sound proofing

je n'ai pas aimé le fait qu'il n'y ai pas de parking à l'hotel, ou bien des places dédier dans le parking publique, la piscine est vraiment petite. Attention létablissement est coupé en 2 par une petite rue l'accueuille et la salle de restaurant sont le batiment principale ; la piscine et la salle de sport sont dans le second.

Location is near all restaurants, hotel is expertly managed, all the staff go out of their way to help you. Rooms and bathrooms are luxurious. Nice rooftop plunge pool and bar. Breakfast includes a wide assortment of cold items as well as pastries, and hot items made to order.

The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the city centre. The old part of the hotel was beautiful.

Our room wasn't a wow for the money we paid. We were in the new building.The facilities in the room were poor. We had no kettle(i love a cup of tea) and no shower cap for the rainfall shower.We also had to pre authorise 50 euros a day charge incase we had anything.... imagine staying a week!

Das Hotel ist wirklich ein Palast und darum ein kleines Juwel. In unmittelbarer Nähe von Alcazaba und der Altstadt gelegen. Das Frühstück war vorzüglich.

Der Pool ist -wie schon andere Gäste bemerkt haben - extrem klein.

Amazing location, very professional and friendly staff. The breakfast was outstanding. A lot of dishes as well as tea and coffee are served at the table. The dinner was amazing too.

There are only a few sun loungers at the pool. But I admit that this is a problem that can't be solved as the space is very limited.

The hotel has an excellent location in the historic city centre, which makes it very convenient to visit all main sightseeing places. However this location might be an issue as well as it gets very loud and crowded during the day in Calle Granada . Breakfast was good and offered a good variety of items at the buffet and à la carte option was aa well offered . Staff were polite but still it felt like only the basic services proved. Still the hotel remains a very elegant mansion , well kept and clean.

All aspects of the hotel were excellent: the staff, the cleanliness, the ambiance and attention to detail. The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice and beautifully presented, however, even at a discounted rate of €25, it was rather expensive. The position of the hotel within the Old Town was ideal within easy access to numerous restaurants, cafes, tourist attractions and shops.

Honestly the hospitality is above and beyond, starting with Nuria the manager to everyone else, the staff is amazing, polite, nice and they make sure your experience is as comfortable and perfect as it can be. Location is perfect, walking distance from anything and everything.

This hotel is perfectly located in the old town. The staff are all fantastic and friendly. The cleanliness is exceptional. And the air con in 35 degrees was superb. The pool area is small so not many beds. We were lucky to get 2 and the area is great.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Breakfast was excellent, served by very good staff and the restaurant is a beautiful setting. The pool bar was very nice and Tarik, the bar manager, was very attentive. The housekeeping was particularly impressive - and appreciated.

Perhaps because of Festival and a very full hotel, staff were over stretched but we asked for help (with laundry/restaurant bookings) at reception and at the concierge on a number of occasions and no one got back to us. Just a little bit disappointing and not in keeping with the rest of our experience at the hotel.

Amazing location and buildings. The staff were fantastic and also the restaurant for breakfast was superb.

The only minor gripe was the lack of loungers on the rooftop - only 10 in total so it was hard to use them as other guests tended to keep them all day.

A beautiful hotel with wonderfully attentive staff in the perfect location. Rooftop pool is ideal for a short dip and only ten sun loungers but turnover is regular so no issue.

I recently stayed at Palacio Solecio Hotel Málaga while traveling alone with my two year old and although our stay started with an unexpected challenge, it ended up showing me just how caring and attentive the hotel team can be. When I booked our room, I was given a room with stairs. Traveling with a very active two-year-old, this quickly became quite complicated. My daughter kept going up and down the stairs and I spent most of my time running after her and trying to keep her safe. At one point, she slipped on the stairs and I barely managed to catch her. It was honestly a terrifying and traumatic moment for me as a mother. I immediately asked if we could change rooms but unfortunately, the hotel was completely full. Despite this, Nouria and her staff went above and beyond to help us. They did everything they could to find a solution, constantly checked on me and my toddler and made me feel genuinely cared for during what was a very stressful situation. Their kindness, patience, and understanding meant so much to me. As a mother traveling alone with a small child, that level of care and compassion makes a huge difference. I never felt like I was simply another guest, I felt that they genuinely cared about my well-being and my daughter's safety. Beyond the wonderful staff, the hotel itself has a lot to offer. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of delicious choices to start the day, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Traveling alone with a toddler can be challenging, and sometimes the little things like a kind word, someone checking in on you, or simply making an effort to help , mean more than anything else. For that reason, I would happily recommend Palacio Hotel Málaga, especially to families and parents traveling with young children. Ontbijt is echt niet in verhouding met prijs €35 per persoon per dag De kamerprijs blijkt achteraf in het weekend €50 meer te zijn als doordeweek De kamer werd iedere dag erg laat schoon gemaakt rond 17 uur meerdere dagen was er niet gestofzuigd, stof aan de voeten. Zwembadje, met 10 ligbedden altijd bezet Koelkastje is n laadje wat bijna niet koelt, geen ruimte voor eigen water/ medicatie te koelen. Uitzicht op een blinde muur, Geluidoverlast van bovenburen Verblijf op 2e etage, lift met pasje is oké maar 1 pasje voor 2 gasten, dus als een op de kamer is en de andere wil met de lift naar beneden dan is er in de kamer geen stroom, pasje is schakelaar voor stroom. Taxi naar vliegveld vraagt hotel €65, gewone taxi €27

I am extremely disappointed with the service I experienced at Palacio Solecio, particularly at the pool bar. On my arrival day at the hotel with my family, I simply asked the bartender for a cup of hot water. His response was astonishingly rude and inappropriate. He actually questioned how I, as a hotel guest, could ask for hot water instead of consuming something at the bar. What made the comment even more unacceptable was that both my spouse and my son already had an open tab at the bar and were actively purchasing drinks. Regardless, whether other members of my party were spending money at the bar should have been irrelevant. A hotel guest asking for a cup of hot water should never be made to feel unwelcome, embarrassed, or as though they are an inconvenience. The bartender’s attitude was disrespectful, condescending, and completely inconsistent with the level of hospitality one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. My travel planner highly recommended Palacio Solecio and specifically told me that none of her clients had ever reported a negative experience with the hotel or its service. Unfortunately, my experience was very different. I sincerely hope I have not encountered the beginning of a decline in the service standards that earned the hotel its reputation. Beautiful surroundings cannot compensate for poor hospitality. How a guest is treated, especially over something as simple as a cup of hot water speaks volumes about a hotel’s service culture. Palacio Solecio should address this type of behavior with its staff. Guests should be treated with courtesy and respect at all times, not made to feel that their value depends on how much they are spending at a particular moment. Sadly, this interaction significantly diminished what should have been an enjoyable stay and has made me reconsider recommending or returning to Palacio Solecio.

A charming hotel and as soon as you walk in the front door its description epitomises its wonderful staff. It is a luxury hotel but it’s not pretentious and that’s because the staff are so down to earth and they provide the true charm of this hotel. The welcome from Vitor was exceptional but each member of staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are incredibly spacious, comfortable and full of splendour. Breakfast is a personal experience, attentive with a wonderful choice. Special mention to Ana and Rune who were always a delight and looked after us each morning. The location is right at the heart of the old town but is only a 2 minute walk from the taxi drop off. The rooftop bar seemed spacious but we only had one quick drink and didn’t use the pool but this is a quality hotel in every aspect.

The hotel lacks outdoor space, I could never find a sunbed to sit outside and reed my book or take a cool plunge in the small rooftop pool. So very disappointed ☹️

Everything was just AMAZING. The location was perfect to explore Malaga Old Town on foot. The hotel reception , lounge areas etc were full of character, spotlessly clean with fantastic staff who were professional, polite and helpful to the point that nothing was too much in offering to make your stay with them, just perfect. The standard double room was also characterful, more than big enough for my wife and I, obvious air conditioning with a lovely bathroom with large walk in shower. I gave taken a video of our room and will try to upload it to You Tube under the heading - PalacioSolecio26. It is not cheap, but if you decide to book I am sure you will appreciate that you get what you pay for. Upon our early morning (6.40am) departure, we arranged the previous night for a wake up call and for transport to the airport. Reception organised a private transfer for us from Plaza de La Merced (1 minute walk from hotel) just in case there were no taxis there at that time in the morning. The cost was 35 euros ( about what a normal taxi would be). Upon arrival at 6.40am as arranged the driver arrived and a member of the reception took our bags up to Plaza de La Merced, put them in the car and wished us a safe journey. We promised we would definately return. And we will. Thank you to all the staff who looked after us with genuine care.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Stunning entrance and hotel looks fantastic. Very high standard.

We were aware that the property was split over two building. On arrival we were in the newer building which is separate to the ‘hotel’. It’s across a small alley with its own entrance. Our first room was very claustrophobic, window was very high. I’m a little over 6 foot tall and on my tip toes could barely see out. We were moved to a new room that had a window but the view was a wall literally 5 feet from the window but at least it gave to room some light. The room was very well appointed to a high standard. However the fact we were in a separate building with its own entrance meant we didn’t get the experience of the hotel like the bar, restaurant, reception area etc because there was no need to use the hotel entrance so we didn’t use the facilities which is a shame. Our room could have been in any hotel. So a little disappointing.

Had a fantastic few days here with my wife in Malaga, time away to recharge from busy family life. Promise we’ll bring you next time kids ;). Hotel is outstanding! It’s in a perfect location in the old town, so easy to walk everywhere. The style and quality of the decor is excellent. Lovely features, quality feel, friendly staff, and delicious food, especially the breakfast! I’m learning Spanish and all the staff were patient, helpful and encouraging in having a beginner level conversation with me. Before writing this i had a quick read through the reviews about the staff and the pool size, and I have to disagree with all of them. If you’re looking for a large pool and loungers to relax a whole day on then go to a resort hotel. True, the pool area is small with only a few sunbeds, but given the hotel is located in central Málaga, a roof terrace with pool is a massive bonus, and from our experience people were coming and going around the pool area and along the terrace so there was room available, you just needed to be patient. Overall, between being in the pool, lounging or having a drink on the terrace, there is plenty of space. So lucky to be able to take a dip when it was hot and having been walking around for a few hours. What a treat! Will definitely be coming back to enjoy more of what Malaga has to offer another time.

I loved the location of it: very convenient, especially if it’s the first time you go to Malaga and you want to discover all the history of the city!

The room looked stunning at first, but unfortunately it wasn’t clean. The bedsheets and duvet were stained (likely from age), and there was a noticeable layer of dust throughout the room. The air conditioning barely cooled the room, making it uncomfortable to sleep, and the shower pressure was very weak. It was also surprising that complimentary bottled water was only available if requested before 7 p.m.—an odd policy for a hotel that presents itself as luxury. While the property is undeniably beautiful and the lobby is spectacular, the overall room experience didn’t live up to the standard of a true luxury hotel.

The one and only negative would be the terraced pool area. Compromised by the fact there are only ten pool side loungers available for the entire hotel.

Kurz zusammengefasst : Sauber, sehr freundliches Personal, Zimmer sehr gut eingerichtet und das Badezimmer in einem aussergewöhnlichen Flair. Sehr zentral in einer Autofreien Zone gelegen. Einfach SUUUUPER.

We had a fantastic stay at the wonderful Palacio Solecio . The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout , the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the old town , literally minutes walk from all the major attractions. We will definitely return to use the hotel as a base to explore neighbouring towns. A special mention for Arturo , our breakfast waiter , who was so lovely, attentive and pleasant .

Gym poorly ventilated

Recently stayed for 7 days. Very disappointed with pool situation, hoped to kick back and relax for a few days around the pool. However, it’s real small and can only cater for the 10 sunbeds that were around the pool and you just never got the chance (also very strange sunbeds which only sat upright and couldn’t be adjusted) Especially when there are approximately 118 rooms! We stayed in the building located across from the main hotel and the staff members didn’t seem that interested, we always had to make the first “hello” gave up after a while as they were more interested in their mobile phone. I’m being as honest as I can and as fair as I can with this review as we paid very good money to stay here. That said the breakfast was excellent, couldn’t fault it and location good.

Perfect location for sightseeing the old town. Stylishly decorated building full of history. Excellent facilities. Wonderful staff. I liked the ethos of the hotel to employ and train people and in efforts to be environmentally friendly.

There was nothing I didn’t like. My only comment would be the website could be improved as the information about the history of the building is a bit repetitive and hard to read.
