Reviewed Jun 8, 2026This is the cutest and kindest family run hotel I've ever came across! Everything is super clean, comfortable and practical. The breakfast they make in the morning is awesome and it is really home made. They provided boat tickets and gave me all the information I needed. If I'd open a B&B, I'd do it the same way. It felt like home from the very first second!

Struttura molto carina, pulitissima, camera ampia; la proprietaria parla inglese, molto gentile e disponibile nel dare informazioni. Molto gradito il voucher gratuito per il noleggio bici. Consigliabile soggiornare almeno 2 notti per visitare le varie attrazioni della zona

Reviewed Apr 18, 2026We booked two rooms. Both were spacious, comfortable and very clean. The breakfasts were excellent too. The hotel also has a water machine and a shared guest fridge. Best of all are the hosts who were so friendly, kind and helpful. They even directed us to where we could watch fireflies. Sun Moon Lake is beautiful. Useful to know that there are no local bars and the restaurants in the village close by 9pm. Enjoyed playing card games in the lovely reception area instead.

Besonders gefallen hat mir die entspannte Stimmung des Hauses sowie die freundliche und hilfsbereite Art der Gastgeber. Das Frühstück war super lecker und mit viel Sorgfalt zubereitet. Die Lage war ideal, um Yuchi und die Umgebung entspannt zu erkunden.
Es gab nichts, was mir nicht gefallen hat.

Reviewed Nov 23, 2025I really enjoyed the time I spent with my family at YUAN JU Boutique Hotel at Sun Moon Lake. The hosts were extremely friendly and recommended activities that were perfect for our group, which included both kids and seniors. The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The individually boxed breakfast was fresh and delicious. I will definitely choose YUAN JU Boutique Hotel again the next time I visit Sun Moon Lake.

Reviewed Nov 17, 2025Myself and 2 girlfriends stayed here for 2 nights to explore Sun Moon Lake. The room was clean, fairly basic but the family who run the guesthouse is what makes this little hotel a comfortable place to base yourself for a few days in SML. The owner who helped us throughout our stay, was so thoughtful and willing to help with recommendations on how to navigate the buses, boats and cycles. The breakfast (possible to do as take away or eat in their little lobby) was delicious too - a balanced Taiwanese selection of items perfect to set you up for a day of cycling or walking round the lake. The Mount Maolan trail to SML weather station which is located close to the Yu Huan hotel was one of our highlights, we’d recommend adding this to your itinerary at a time before it gets too hot. It’s a fairly steep climb but the views are well worth it.

主要是個人睡眠習慣，四人房的床偏軟，較不習慣。 隔音較差，我們十分擔心小朋友們在房內的吵鬧聲會影響到其他房客。

There was a shared fridge and water dispenser available to use. We were given a voucher for free bike hire and cheaper boat trip when booking with the B&B. Breakfast was homemade and just the right portion size with salad and fruit which was welcomed at this point of the trip! Location was very close to 7/11 and close to the pier. Would highly recommend for your visit to Sun Moon Lake!

Each morning at breakfast, she asked about our plans for the day and gave us useful tips on where to visit around Sun Moon Lake, the best spots for sunrise and sunset, and even provided bike discount vouchers. We really appreciated her thoughtfulness! The shampoo and hand soap were also great. Love the smell of it. Location is convenient, just a short walk from key attractions like Shuishe Pier, and the bus stop is nearby.
