Decent location in little Shuishe town, can walk to lake for views. Clean and orderly property, nice staff and breakfast was good.

No views of the lake, instead our room had a window that faced the inner staircase/courtyard of the hotel which was a little awkward for balancing sunlight with privacy. Also the amount of communication from the hotel before the stay iterating and reiterating rules and regulations of the property was unnecessarily stressful.

The location was great. The room was large and comfortable. We were 5 people and everyone had room. The staff was great and the breakfast delicious.

This was the best guesthouse I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and would go out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and having a great time - they even gave us a room upgrade on check in which was a lovely surprise! Free parking, delicious breakfast and great location in the heart of Sun Moon Lake. Would not hesitate to recommend this to family and friends!

The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was stylish and relaxing!

The environment is very clean, even the balcony floor is spotless enough to walk on barefoot. There is a comfortable couch that makes a great reading corner, and the water quality for bathing is pleasant. In particular, the bathroom is not completely enclosed, so if you are concerned about odors after use, you can use the one on the first floor instead.

Tout était parfait : la chambre était très belle, tout était propre, le petit déjeuner était très bon, et le personnel était adorable et aux petits soins pour nous.

Check-in is available from 3 to 7 p.m. The room is very clean, with a modern, minimalist, and neat design. The shower has good water pressure. The most impressive part was the breakfast. It was amazing, both in presentation and taste! Plus, there’s a vegan option available.

The bathroom in the room we stayed is divided from the sleeping area by a lightweight paper partition that is open at the top and bottom. This setup may not provide full privacy for travelers who aren't well-acquainted, but it should be fine for a small family.

Stunning place to stay in Sun Moon Lake! Loved the design, the staff and the delicious breakfast! I recommend highly!

We had an outstanding stay at Sun Moon Inn. We had initially only booked 2 nights, but due to Super Typhoon Gaemi, pretty much everything in Taiwan shut down and we were unable to travel onwards to the next destination in our trip. The staff were really considerate of our situation - we were the only tourists left in the Inn as all other guests left before the typhoon stopped everything. We were assisted with booking an additional night through the Typhoon, and the staff were very generous with delivering us beautiful homemade meals. They didn’t need to do this - they were being kind and looking after us. We really loved our huge room and bathroom and really appreciate the staff looking after us through the typhoon.

Sun Moon Inn, a hidden gem, is a walk to the Sun Moon Lake pier where you can catch the ferry to the various points of interest across the Lake. We get personal touches of useful information from friendly Hana who gives helpful tips of just about anything we need to know for our holiday at the BnB Inn. The room is lovely and has gadgets like a Bluetooth lamp to play music from our handphone. Breakfast is made beautifully and tastefully and personally delivered to our room.

YouTuberまいばるさんの動画でこちらの宿を見てとても素敵だったのでぜひ泊まりたいと思い予約しました。予約完了時から宿のスタッフから宿のルールなどについて細かい連絡があり、きちんとされているな、と感じました。 宿の中は本当に美しく、清掃も行き届いていて、オーナーさんのこだわりが伝わってきました。 スタッフの方もとても親切で、いつも笑顔で対応してくださいました。 日月潭に泊まるならぜひお勧めしたいです。

The spontaneous upgrade of our room was very nice. Thank you! Also the staff was friendly and helpful! The room was spacious and we enjoyed the view from our balcony (blooming tree)! The lights of our room were very classy and we appreciated that! The breakfast was special and tasty!

I didn’t enjoy that I have to sign a paper at the check-in that allows the hotel to revocate immediately their accommodation, when guests are too noisy. It felt a bit suspicious and restrictive. But At the end it didn't really affect our stay at sun moon lake, and we still had a pleasant time!

The owner and staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. I would gladly stay here again. I was traveling with my mom, who is in her 80s, and she found it a little difficult to get up from the bed, which is low to the floor. Also she kept forgetting that there was a step down from the sleeping/living space and the entry/bathroom, and almost fell a few times. But even she said that she loved staying there and that it was her favorite accommodations of our trip to Taiwan.

The facilities are very clean and quiet. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast is excellent.

The hotel is very beautifully designed with a modern, wood themed feeling. Very zen like. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is delicious and has a local flair, they even delivered to our room. A 5 star stay all said and done.

Lovely stay, with a Japanese-inspired concept. Very comfortable, well presented with generous space. Breakfast was wonderful. Location is good, easy, quick walk to the pier and local hotspots. Parking right outside, on request. Very lovely staff, highly attentive, friendly and full of local advice. Felt spoilt staying here.

Won’t be suited to those with mobility issues. It is open plan, including the bathroom. We didn’t have an issue with this however.

Great place, very friendly staff. Stayed one night but could have stayed more!

Very close to the bus terminal and the ferry dock. I admired the comfort and delicate service beyond expectations. On days with low evening temperatures, hot water kettles were delivered to each room, and breakfast was delivered with fragrant, beautiful and balanced nutrition. All facilities are kept clean and the antibacterial system is thorough. I would like to have more time to visit again next time.

The accommodation has its unique deco, coziness and charm. The hosts are very friendly, thoughtful and helpful. Shower water pressure is good. Breakfast is served to your room - it has the hosts' unique and warm touch - different from what you get in classic Taiwanese breakfast offers. Location is near to 7-11 and varied eateries.

Tap water is cold, it'll be good if it's a mixer tap especially when the weather outside is very chilly. Lack of clothes hanging area.

The location is near Shuishe. Very convenient to the small town. If you prefer quietness this B&B is highly recommended. The rooms are spacious and full of light.

A great and scenic b&b styled accomodation with mountainside view. Staff was warm and hospitable. We had accidentally left some items behind and they kept them safe and secure for us until we were able to retrieve them again. Would absolutely stay again!

Don't open the balcony door, unless you want your room breached by the mosquito swarm lurking outside.

We only stayed for one night but it was perfect for us. Room is large and the breakfast was so good. Hannah was also very friendly.

The staff were super welcoming and helpful. The room was very nice, clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. In-room breakfast is really tasty and they offer a vegetarian option, too. Great location. The facility is located in a residential building so there are some rules to be followed which, however, are reasonable and did not affect my stay at all. The reception area is super inviting with lots of cute touches. Communication was excellent.

從高鐵坐客運到水社服務中心下車後走到民宿只要3分鐘，距離市中心3分鐘，租電動車騎到伊達邵很方便。附近有7-11，星巴克，港口，當地小吃都很不錯。

Very Zen ambience. Lots of rules though. No rules that impacted my stay but some of the rules were strange. Such as if you are drinking and vomit on the bed you pay extra for cleaning. It never occurred to me that this was a hotel issue. Luckily I don’t over indulge and fortunately I didn’t get the flu and get sick in bed so it was a non issue. Most of the rules are for Zen environment. The room was large and lots of natural light. The breakfast was delicious served to the room. The staff were helpful and courteous with good information on what to do. All in all a wonderful hotel experience.

Awesome hosts with yummy breakfast each morning and walkable distance to Sun Moon Lake! We stayed here when a typhoon hits Taiwan. The host kindly offered to make calls for us to figure out the availability of restaurants and activities. We really appreciate it. Having Seven-Elevens nearby also helped a lot.

Cozy

My family’s summer vacations were always spent at Sun Moon Lake, so after many decades I was curious to see how the area had developed. The village of Shuishe, where Sun Moon Inn is located, is a great example of the uniquely Taiwanese flair for modernizing without changing the essential local flavor of the place. People there are extremely friendly and accommodating, and this was true many times over of Hana, Elaine, and Nisa, the three capable ladies who run the inn. The inn is modern and clean, using streamlined design featuring lots of natural elements. The room with balcony we had was huge, with high ceilings, two king beds, and very nice bathroom and shower. Breakfast included with the room was delicious on both days. The inn is a short walk to the bike rental shop and bike trail; the harbor for boat tours/rides, and the village main street offers many eating options. Sun Moon Lake is beautiful and worth the visit. Sun Moon Inn is commodious and friendly and cannot be recommended more highly.

The staff was incredibly kind, they even arranged a small breakfast to take away for us when they knew we had to check out too early to get it in the hotel. The place is conveniently located a few minutes from the lake and many bike rental shops, and it has a great zen vibe with industrial design. Only suggestion is to make some stronger separation between the room and the bathroom, since as it is now it is basically all an open space.

Ce petit hotel se trouve à proximité du lac, juste à quelques pas d’une petite ville où on trouve tout ce dont on a besoin (sans voiture, aucun problème ici) L’accueil a été parfait, dans un très bon anglais. Le hall d’entrée et la chambre que j’ai eu, étaient décorés avec beaucoup de goût. Les lumières sont travaillées, les matériaux sont agréables (le parquet en bois, le béton etc…). La salle de bain est très luxe avec des toilettes japonais haut de gamme et une très grande cabine de douche. La vue de ma chambre était sublime sur les montagnes. Le petit déjeuner est selon moins un gros point fort. Il se compose d’un snack salé et d’une verrine sucrée avec des fruits et du yaourt. Il est complété par du thé et du café ou du lait de soja. Il est réalisé avec beaucoup de goût tant sur la présentation que sur la qualité des produits. L’hôtel a un partenariat avec le loueur de vélo juste à côté (100twd la journée) et ils proposent d’acheter des billets pour le bateau. Je recommande fortement si vous aimez les endroits design, les beaux espaces et la sérénité.
