Nous avons séjourné 5 nuits à l’hôtel et avons passé un très agréable séjour. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la propreté de l’hôtel et de la chambre. Tout était toujours très propre et la chambre était nettoyée quotidiennement avec beaucoup de soin. Un grand merci également à l’ensemble du personnel (notamment à Vissen), qui a été extrêmement chaleureux, accueillant, souriant et bienveillant tout au long de notre séjour. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la qualité de l’accueil et la gentillesse de toute l’équipe. Concernant le petit-déjeuner, le buffet était bon et varié dans son ensemble. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié de pouvoir choisir la préparation de nos œufs (œufs brouillés, au plat, etc.) et de les recevoir préparés à la demande, bien chauds. C’est un vrai plus ! Le seul petit bémol, qui reste vraiment un détail, concerne le buffet du petit-déjeuner : sur nos 5 matinées, les propositions étaient quasiment identiques chaque jour. Il pourrait être intéressant de varier davantage certains plats ou préparations d’un jour à l’autre afin d’apporter encore plus de diversité aux clients qui séjournent plusieurs nuits. Cela reste toutefois une petite remarque d’amélioration, car nous avons globalement été très satisfaits de notre séjour. Merci encore à toute l’équipe pour son accueil et sa gentillesse !

The location is great and I believe it's the only hotel in the area. The staff was very cooperative and friendly and tried to do their best to make our stay comfortable.

I recommend to remove the carpet from all the rooms since it's beside the ocean and rain and humid. When I checked in my 1st room the carpet smelled very strong and the other room we found a cockroache in the bathroom. When the room changed we found so many ants on the bed. Also. Mosquitoes were everywhere. No handshower. No shataf in the bathroom. Pillows were not comfortable. We found a sock under the bed.

The overall experience fell well below expectations.The suite had mosquitoes flying around inside on arrival. A serious concern was that the hotel elevator got jammed for approximately 20 minutes, requiring us to use the emergency button. The air-conditioning was outdated, noisy, not cooling well and performed poorly. The Executive Lounge was disappointing, with mosquitoes flying around, limited refreshments, and hygiene standards that need improvement. The breakfast buffet was the biggest concern, as we repeatedly observed flies around the food, including inside covered serving trays and sauce containers. Overall, the hotel needs significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, hygiene, and guest safety to meet the standards expected of a hotel in this category.

Styling, locations and ambiance

Naturally the location was amongst the best. Rooms are nice, clean with a wonderful harbor or city view, depending on the selection. The 6th floor executive lobby was wonderful along with the staff presence like Michael, lively Mel and Sephora. Good drinks selection throughout the day. Variety of snacks needs thoughtful changes as otherwise mostly fried stuff only. Excellent coffee maker too.

The snacks selection although good stuff like spring rolls, mini samosas, chicken pockets, etc were tasty, they are all fried stuff. Some sandwiches could be offered. Otherwise nothing to dislike in the Executive Lobby. No health faucet in the bathroom.

What I liked most was the location, the beautiful sea and mountain view, and the comfortable bedding. We also loved having a bathtub in the bathroom, it was the perfect way to relax after a long day of walking and sightseeing.

What I didn't like was: - There was no one available to assist us with our luggage. I had to call someone from inside the hotel to help. - There was no welcome platter in the room as on our previous stay, and the minibar/fridge was empty. - The room lacked modern amenities, such as a smart TV with YouTube. - The breakfast buffet had very limited choices. However, there was a good selection of freshly prepared egg dishes available to order.

The staff tried their best to improve our stay. I stayed for one week on a honeymoon and they tried to add additional touches to our room to celebrate the occasion. Throughout the stay, I found the staff to be extremely polite despite the shortcomings of the hotel itself

So we had a half board package which includes breakfast, dinner and unlimited access to the spa and executive lounge (I still don't know what that is!). Room was okay, a lot of mosquitoes especially at night. TV doesn't have Netflix or any of the smart applications so you're stuck with several channels to watch. Upon checking in, we were told that there were two restaurants for breakfast/dinner. All good so far. Had dinner at the restaurant and realized it's an a la carte menu which means limited options, but that's still no issue. On the third day we learned that we exceeded the allowance for dinner (this information was not shared upon checking in) on the fourth day we learned that we had to pay for the water we order at dinner (a piece of information that was not shared with us earlier) so we did the smart thing of bringing a bottle of water with us from the room, the same one served at the restaurant!! The fifth day we learned that we had to pay extra for room service for the tray. So basically the dining experience is horrendous and not worth paying for the half board option. The restaurant itself is nice, limited options though. Expect the service to be slow (1 hr wait to get a burger, ordered an omelette at breakfast and waited 40 minutes and never got it) so again not worth the price. The unlimited spa turned out to be access to the gym and a dirty pool. Which is normal at every hotel I've stayed in (been to 40 countries). Overall, not a 5 star hotel, 3 star at best. If you have to stay here DO NOT get the half board option. Plenty of restaurants around the area that offer better food & experience, and I believe for the price we paid (roughly 350 eur/night) this was not good value for money at all.

It was a very short stay as we arrived very late and left very early however location was great and right next to a night market for a wander after we arrived. The parking was full due to said night market but the staff were great in taking our car and putting it somewhere temporary only to move it once parking was available.

The hotel served the best food, and the services provided from front desk, concierge, housekeeping, waiters, to security was higher than expected. The time for checkin was super fast, reception was very receptive and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast were well organised by the team.

Exceptional entertainment: like violinist to move near clients when having dinner or offer a free entry ticket in package to visit the museum/odysseo/les moulins de la concorde depending on the price/number days of stay. This will attract more local and international couples, families, business travellers to enjoy from the near surroundings and boost the occupancy during winter season/ low demand.

This is very close to lots of restaurants and shopping. We stayed several days before Cruise and it’s a quick ride to the cruise ship.

Der persönliche Empfang war überwältigend. Alles sehr sauber. Service, Essen, Getränke wirklich sehr, sehr gut.Wir hattest das Executive Zimmer samt deren Leistung gebucht, herrlich und unsere Concierge war unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend.

Nach dem herzlichen Empfang waren wir beim auschecken an der Hauptrezeption sehr enttäuscht. Weder ein freundliches Wort noch ein Lächeln konnte der Dame entkommen. Die Minibar wurde erst nach Erinnerung unsererseits aufgefüllt und leider nicht vollständig (wäre im Preis inklusive gewesen). Kleiner süßer Pool mit guten Liegen im 2.Stock leider befindet sich das Putzdepo daneben und die Reinigungsdamen waren lautstark beschäftigt (zur besten Relaxzeit). Was auch noch zu überdenken sein sollte, die Reinigung der Lobby am Samstag zur Frühstückszeit, schade.

The location was fantastic. Right on the waterfront in a very nice part of town. The hotel looked quite smart and the lobby, bar and restaurant areas were very well appointed. The breakfasts were generous, varied and fresh. Highly enjoyable. The breakfast service by waiters was excellent. The concierge team, some of the most handsome men I have ever seen, organised a day trip for us which was wonderful. The car was modern, cool and the driver informative and friendly. Ask for Alejandro. Alejandro also took us to the airport the next day.

We were checked in an hour after the advertised time. We had to sit and wait in the lobby. My friend was given her room key and when she arrived a woman was asleep in the bed. She was given someone else's room. I don't even know how that happens. My room, when I finally got there, had someone else's packed luggage there. Staff were very hesitant to explain that. My friend's minibar door wouldn't shut therefore didn't stay cool. I decided to check mine and there was a hole where the minibar should have been. No minibar! On our last day we received notice that the hotel will be without any power for 3 hours. No lights, lifts, aircon, Wi-Fi. I was staying on the 4th floor and if I wanted to go to or from my room I had to climb the stairs. Lucky the electricity came on just before I had to bring my luggage down to take the taxi to the airport. All the staff were good especially concierge staff. except one of the evening bar staff was gruff and unfriendly. The staff were doing their best, but this hotel is trying to be 4 or 5 stars and while they know how to charge 5-star hotel prices they don't know how to run a 5-star hotel.

The location was fantastic. Michael at the concierge desk was very helpful in organising a half day excursion and airport transport for us.

Dysfunctional administrative processes and arrogant attitude of the bar staff. Our rooms weren’t ready at 2pm and they were juggling vacant rooms to meet the demand of guests checking in and the room allocated to me was already occupied with the person asleep in bed. I think they were more shocked than me when I charged into the room. There was also a power outage for several hours when we were about to check out meaning the lifts weren’t working (not to mention the AC and wifi).

Location is excellent for a visit to Port Louis for business or personal travel purposes.

Hotel needs upgrading, bedroom was comfortable, but A/C did not really work. Service was slow but friendly, and orders were not delivered correctly.

My flight arrived in the early hours, and I had informed the hotel beforehand. I was so pleasantly surprised that when I arrived around 6 a.m., my room was already ready and waiting for me. It was amazing not having to wait for hours to check in after a long journey.

for a "5" star establishment, the least you could have in the room is fresh milk for your coffee instead of powdered milk. There was not even a biscuit to have with my tea when i woke up - really sad to be that basic. The rooms are large but dated and in much need of an update or refresh. i would give this establishment a 3 star rating at most. Very basic level of offering and advertising it as a 5 star is untrue and deceiving

Although slightly dated, it is dated in the best possible way — the hotel has a timeless charm and character that makes it truly beautiful. From the moment you step inside, the lobby is breathtaking. The open-space atrium, complete with a fountain, panoramic elevators, restaurant, and sweeping architectural views, is simply spectacular. Everything unfolds within this grand atrium, creating an impressive and unforgettable first impression. The amenities are wonderful. The restaurant offers an excellent buffet with a large variety of delicious dishes, catering to every taste. We spent most of our time at the outdoor bar, which felt almost magical — from the extended menu to the attentive service, it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The location truly doesn’t get better in Port Louis. Everything is conveniently close, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. We were also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade to a larger room, which was absolutely spectacular and made our stay even more enjoyable. Hotel parking was provided as well, adding another layer of convenience to an already seamless experience. Overall, it was a memorable and charming stay, and we would gladly return.

The check-in procedure felt unnecessarily complicated. Instead of completing the process at the main reception, we were asked to go up to another floor where the formalities were handled in a separate room offering refreshments. While the gesture was thoughtful, it seemed impractical — especially when a standard reception check-in would have been simpler and more efficient. We also had the chance to see the pool area, which unfortunately is in clear need of refurbishment. It does not currently reflect the standards one would expect from a five-star hotel. Although we were grateful for the complimentary room upgrade, the room was not ready upon our arrival at the official check-in time. We ended up waiting nearly an additional hour beyond the hotel’s stated policy, which was disappointing — particularly for a property of this category.
