La limpieza no era muy buena, nos tocó cabello en la regadera. El clima de la habitación no funcionaba y estaba lleno de polvo. La mitad del personal tenía una atención deficiente y poco amable.

We really loved our stay, we found out the hard way that AC is a must in Puerto Escondido so this place was perfect. Pool was big and refreshing as its hard to be on the beach all day. Everything was super clean, with daily cleaning. Few minutes walk to the beach and main road with all restaurants, but still quiet. The room had private balcony with view on the pool.

La habitación era muy pequeña y no se parecía a las fotos. Nos llevamos una decepción. Además, el ventilador de techo estaba roto (al encenderlo se movía violentamente, de forma que podía desprenderse del techo) y no vinieron a arreglarlo en los días que estuvimos (a pesar de que dijeron que lo harían).

Great oasis to escape the heat and humidity - the pool was excellent! Three minute walk from the main strip but quite so you can relax. Lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for you.

We got woken up at 8am on our second day by really loud music in the studio just above us which wasn’t advertised which was a bit annoying.

Honestly If you’re a surfer, probably not a bad location

As described there should be WI-FI in reach for all rooms but at our room there was zero WI-FI and signal. When we talked to the reception they weren’t exactly willing to help. With help from Booking.com we got it cancelled in the end but we spend the first day trying to cancel everything. I would definitely stay away from this hotel, I don’t understand the good reviews, maybe they had a better room.

las instalaciones un hotel muy bonito, con lo necesario para esta playa y buena atencion del personal, me encanto la ubicacion.

Todo estuvo bien, con excepcion de la regadera, falta de mantenimiento en baños, y algo para tender toallas y trajes de baño, el WIFI no funcionaba dentro de la habitacion.

Bettbezug mussten wir wechseln lassen, da Flecken drauf waren. Wurde aber sofort und ohne Probleme erledigt.

Aircon in bedroom did not cool the room. The room was right next to reception with little privacy and hence needed to keep curtains closed. The room was therefore very dark. I would not recommend this room.

Creo que pueden mejorar la alberca y GYM, tener un buen espacio para guardar las maletas y batallamos un poco con las toallas, nada grave, pero pueden mejorar.

A nice balcony. This is literally all you get.

Very LOUD hotel! Very thin walls and door with no isolation at all! They have a gym/outdoor space right above the rooms and start airobic classes at 8 am every day with loud shouting from the instructor. If that wasn’t enough the cleaning ladies start cleaning at 7 am every day and they are not quiet they throw things around play music and sing loud. So disrespectful. And the roosters will also start signing at around 6 am daily so just forget about sleeping here. The bathroom was not clean. Hairs on the floor. Also no utensils at all in shower. No TV. The bed and pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. The pool was dirty filled with hairs from humans and animals. Also this has never happened to me before the sheets were too dirty one day they said so they charged me $150 EXTRA AT CHECK OUT. And lastly the staff ladies working the reception are INCREDIBLY RUDE towards guests for no reason, they talk in rude tone, without smiling and very disrespectful.

There was so much staff doing nothing. Still a lot of the grounds could use an upgrade and cleaning (e.g. “the gym”). The staff was not that helpful. Should also be noted that sport facilities come with an extra cost.

De locatie, helemaal top, heel dichtbij het strand en allerlei leuke eetplekjes. Het eten in het hotel is eveneens echt lekker!

De gehorigheid, heel veel last van muziek en sportlessen. Airco werkte ook niet top, we hadden de bovenste kamer dus het werd echt superwarm wat best onaangenaam was ik combi met de slechte bedden. Allemaal geen ramp, maar voor een boutique hotel verwacht ik toch meer rust.

The room we selected was a cute cottage with a kitchenette and refrigerator and a small working AC in the bedroom area.

The mattresses are cheap, sleep was not very comfortable. The linens were old, to the point that some had holes. They’re very skimpy on towels and will only give you clean towels every three days. The bathrooms are small. There is no tv in the room. Because of the proximity of the room to the restaurant/ bar and pool it was super loud and you can hear everything through the walls. The hotel is advertised as a yogi retreat hotel and when we arrived there were about 20+ super drunk women in being incredibly loud. They kept us up past 2:30 am. Thankfully they were gone the next day but our first impression of the place was not good. The location is very far from the downtown area. In the surf/ party side of town, up a very steep hill. I understand that it’s an adult resort and the location situation was our fault for not researching better. Overall, the property itself is beautiful but did not live up to how it’s advertised online.

Rude staff besides the night guy, no ac for two nights. I bought the biggest unit but was yelled at about my nephew when my younger cousins stayed not to long ago, and we booked because they loved it... and when we checked out late they didnt help us at all with bags and yelled at us for reentering our room even though we communicated clearly and had to come back for our bags, it hadnt even been cleaned yet... very disappointed soooo not worth the money better options with nicer people around.

Had a brilliant stay at Casa de Olas. The hotel is in a great location, lots of shops/ bars/ restaurants near by. The pool was also great and rarely ever busy. We had a room with a balcony and it was a lovely place to relax. The staff were very friendly too. Would recommend!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit hellen, freundlichen Zimmern. Das Hotel liegt zwei Querstraßen vom Hotspot von Puerto Escondido entfernt. Dadurch ist es angenehm ruhig. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Die Matratze des Doppelbetts ist sehr weich und verhält sich fast wie ein Wasserbett: Funktioniert nur, wenn beide Personen im Bett sehr ruhige Schläfer sind. Unser Zimmer (Sun) war direkt angrenzend an den Fitness-Bereich im oberen Stock. Hier wird es ab 8:00 in der Früh ziemlich laut. Dieses Zimmer würden wir bei einer erneuten Buchung definitiv ausschließen.

Aircon unit in the room was mouldy so we didn’t use it as it made us feel ill after 1 night. We booked as it looked like a hostel style atmosphere on the listing and photos but the rooftop bar wasn’t open for our stay and we weren’t advised of any yoga classes etc. so it felt quite misleading - we would have booked another nicer hotel had we known.

One word: Excellent!! It exceeded my expectations. The installations are beautiful and the service/customer service was extraordinary

La habitación esta mal ventilada ya que la zona de dormir no cuenta con ventanas y le falta mantenimiento. En la habitación y baño salieron cucarachas, había humedades y goteras en la habitación y de la misma humedad en el baño había adornos con moho.

Het hotel is vlakbij de hoofdstraat met gezellige restaurantjes. Het ziet er vanaf de buitenkant leuk uit met zwembad en er is ook ontbijt verkrijgbaar maar wij zijn naar de hoofdstraat vlakbij gegaan.

Het is wat meer gedateerd dan op de foto's lijkt. De kamer is vrij klein en het is heel gehorig! Ook zijn de bedden ontzettend hard en de kussens oncomfortabel. De medewerkster bij de check in was erg vriendelijk maar verder is het personeel niet echt klantgericht en zeggen ze bijvoorbeeld geen gedag als je langs loopt of zijn ze behulpzaam.

El agua de la ducha salía fría. Desde la primera noche le pedimos al staff que solucionasen el problema y nos ignoraron. Habitación de dudosa limpieza, y el personal excepto el chico que nos recibió a la noche, y un camarero del bar el resto fue sorprendentemente desagradable. El remate fue que tuvieron un problema con el terminal para pagar con tarjeta y me obligaron a pagar dos veces unas bebidas. Me aseguraron que me devolverían el cobro de más cuanto antes. A día de hoy no me lo han devuelto y además cuando les he escrito para preguntar qué pasa con la devolución del cobro indebido en vez de informarme me han contestado diciendo que soy una grosera y una irrespetuosa. Creo que es el hotel donde peor me han tratado en mi vida, no os lo recomiendo en absoluto.

I loved everything about this boutique hotel. Beautifully designed to give it a zen feel. All the staff were very welcoming and lovely throughout my stay. The property and grounds are well maintained. Lots of different seating areas and shade. The pool was fabulous for cooling off. Everywhere was immaculate. I had breakfast every morning and dinner a couple of times. The food was beautifully presented and good quality. The prices food and drinks were also very reasonable. I had a balcony room overlooking the pool, which was nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. I didn’t attend the fitness / yoga classes, but they had a good schedule. I also liked that it was a short walk from all the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants. The lack of WiFi in my room wasn’t an issue for me. I could get it on my balcony and in the communal areas.

It was only minutes away from the hot spots of La Punta, as well as the main road needed to venture to other areas. Security gates that were locked after a specific time during the week and on weekends. Shred hosted workout classes at the property - making it easily accessible for those looking to exercise. The property also has their own equipment, for a free workout. On site restaurant and bar!

The he website definitely makes the property look to me much more updated than it is in real life. While not a complete turn off, it is misleading. Advertised free sun hats, never saw these and a rooftop palapa bar which during our entire stay never seemed to be open.

We didn’t get breakfast there

Staff was not very friendly they were always talking amongst each other didn’t really care if there was guest around them, they continue talking them on to each other not friendly. They charge us 150 pesos to use the umbrella to go to the beach, which I thought was odd. I would not recommend to stay there. The room was hot when we entered. It seems like they turned off the air conditioning after they’re done cleaning the room and so when you get back to your room, it’s very hot Wi-Fi sucked.

Lovely clean and pretty hotel - the bar and food were great and lovely pool area.

There was significant noise disruptions during our stay. Building work started at 6.45am we also had knocks on our doors very early and also cleaners banging around at 6am. We mentioned this to reception and the manager but nothing was done. We would have appreciated knowing their was building works happening as we came away for a relaxing break and even sat by the pool you just heard banging all day.

The property is in a good location near lots of restaurants, bars etc and only a few minutes walk from the beach. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The property is very clean, with rooms cleaned regularly. The bar/restaurant faculties provide very well priced and good quality food/drink. There is a fitness studio on site where they organise classes such as pilates and there is also a tennis court.

You Need more lounge chairs around the pool

The facilities of the hotel are great, with a nice swimming pool which was never too crowded, and even basic weights to do workouts. It is just a few minutes away walking to the beach so the location is great as well. They also have a little spa in the hotel which I really recommend, it was great.

Perhaps its because of the nature of Puerto Escondido, but we found the hotel to be on the loud side and we were not always able to properly rest. Every single night there was someone very loudly doing boxing until 11 pm (they told us this is when the quiet hours start) which is ok, but also, from quite early in the morning (around 8 am and even before) and throughout most of the day there were very loud constructions going on both inside the hotel and next to it so it was hard to sleep until late or have naps. Every single day.

Nice pool and everything was constantly cleaned. The location was also nice. Just a 5 minute walk from all the buzz. So definitely not too far away, just right. Also there are options to do sports.

We had a room next to the sporting facility. Even though it is not bothering that much, it does give quite some noise. If you want some rest specifically at that moment, then you are going to have a hard time. However, in the morning they start at reasonable times, and they finish at reasonable times in the afternoon. Not really bothering. One small thing is that the sporting facilities need a small touch-up. You can see it is there for quite some years already.

Nice clean place, great location

This place is literally a gym. I woke up to loud yelling and music, people punching punching bags, right next to my room. Between that and the constant construction on all sides of the building, this was not a relaxed experience.
