Amazing service, went out for the day and came back to find our rooms very nicely tidied when we came back! Excellent service.

Shower head leaves just a little to be desired other than that, all goods.

The location, the owner I think very friendly and accommjdating.

We are happy the way it is.

Petit hôtel sympathique, nous avons été bien accueilli. La chambre est un peu juste pour 4 mais pour une nuit cela suffit largement. Dans l’ensemble la chambre est très propre et les lits confortables.

La chambre ne possède pas de système de chauffage, on doit se contenter de 2 radiateurs d’appoint. En plein hiver ils nous à fallu une après midi pour réchauffer la chambre. Quand nous sommes arrivés on m’a demandé ma carte bancaire et le propriétaire a relevé mes numéros de cartes sur une feuille ( surement en cas de problème) même si je peux comprendre cela ne m’a pas plu du tout.

Beautiful warm, clean and modern family apartment which was already heated on arrival at night! The location is excellent for going to both ski fields shops and restaurants. Spa was perfect after a day in the snow. My husband loves mountain biking and you have excellent options right from the back door. Feeding the alpacas was so fun for the boys. They offer breakfast as well! We will be back! Highly recommend.

The property is not in a rush ambience . The lodge is situated in highway side there is no property near to the lodge . So it feels alone so I like that ambience

Deluxe room was beautiful had the view of the mountains, big balcony, one double bed and one single bed. Property location was close to the nearest town only couple of minutes drive and Whakapapa ski field was only about less than 20 minutes drive away. Enjoyed feeding the alpacas. I will definitely come back again.

There is no restaurant however there’s a kitchen that you can use to cook meals and continental breakfast is provided in the morning, which is nice. I found the shower bit too small, but it was manageable.

The lodge itself was absolutely amazing and we had a great stay. The property was beautiful and everything about the accommodation was perfect. We really enjoyed the actual place.

The owner's behavior after checkout completely ruined the experience. We left some towels and paper on the floor, but the owner called us and started screaming at us over the phone. Verbal abuse is an entirely unprofessional way to handle a cleanup issue.

I love the location, its very close to the shuttle bus pick up location, a minute drive to the supermarket, petrol station, restaurants, short drive to the snow. We love the space, very private and quiet in the evening, very warm, cosy and comfortable bed, room has everything we need, Staffs are very friendly. extra bonus for us is the "Hotel type of room service" staff tidy up our room every day. we stayed in a motel room with kitchen and bathroom, we travel a lot but have never had everyday room service in motels. Mountain Heights Lodge is amazing and beyond our expectations, will definitely stay again in the next snow season.

For the price we paid for three people it was a great deal. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy and the man at reception was very humble.

Cozy room

I didn’t expect that they need to get my Visa card info upon check in even my booked rooms were already deducted on on the scheduled date. It’s my first time experience and I am hoping and trust the hotel owner that my card details will not be used in other transactions. Thank you

Lots of traffic noise from trucks on the main road at night.

We had a great stay, I definitely recommend. The owners were great, cabins were clean, and the heating worked well, very important for a cold area of NZ.

Great location. Comfy bed. The owners were really helpful. Safe parking for our motorbikes. The heaters provided warmed the room up well.

The shower was ok but it was outdated and the head was very small so not a lot of water or pressure. The small oven was great but we couldn’t get the two hot plates to work independently of each other and so they both had to be the same temperature which was tricky. Not had that before on those.

El alojamiento es muy comodo y el dueño es muy simpatico y esta siempre pendiente de lo que necesites. Si quieres hacer una ruta de senderismo incluso te deja preparado el desayuno para que puedas salir a la hora que necesites. Hay tambien un jacuzzi para relajarse despues de un largo dia de caminata

We had booked the Mountain Heights Lodge because of it's close proximity to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Unfortunately, our shuttle was canceled both days of our stay due to poor weather conditions. The owners of the Lodge were so helpful and provided alternative hiking options in the area. The lodge was so cozy that we ended up spending one of the days just hanging in the room.

Friendly staff. Nice stay in the park. Would have been better if tongariro pass had been open which kinda foiled our plans but the place was cozy enough and staff was friendly. Coffee and toast/marmite continental brekkie available.

Great place to hide out from a forecasted weather event. Helpful, friendly, thoughtful owners. Everything provided. Warm, dry, comfortable. Take food with you, or there is a 4 Square a few km’s up the road. . Great that there is a full kitchen available in the units which have plenty of space.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Bett war wirklich gemütlich. Man konnte eine Gemeinschaftsküche nutzen und es gab auch einen Kühlschrank, den man benutzen durfte. Parkplatz direkt auf dem Grundstück.

Es gab nur einen fixen Duschkopf, der relativ niedrig angebracht war. Größere Menschen müssen etwas in die Knie gehen, um die Dusche nutzen zu können. Achtung! Vom National Park Village aus ist die Unterkunft auf der rechten Seite gelegen. Hier gibt es doppelte Sperrlinien in der Straßenmitte aufgrund eines unübersichtlichen Hügels. Etwas weiter gibt es eine Umkehrmöglichkeit.

Good location for hiking

Wonderful location and great views from the property. Walking paths located on the back of the property and some cute llamas. Great spot to base from for access to Tongariro National Park and surrounding area. Clean, nicely laid out units.

The bed was moderately comfortable- pretty firm and mine had a popped spring that made it uncomfortable if laid on.

Nice hosts, helpful, private rooms - felt you were only one there

The accommodation was excellent. Since we arrived late, the host left very clear map directions, which made it easy to find the place. The room was extremely clean and well organized, and everything we needed was provided. The road noise was not an issue at all in my opinion—only an occasional car passed by and it was barely noticeable. Once we were asleep, we couldn’t hear anything.

The shower head had slightly low water pressure, but aside from that, everything was perfect.
