I struggled to get hold of staff and went to the office twice but no one was there . When I did send a message via booking.com, they came back to me very quickly though. One seemed to be from a staff member and/or AI and another seemed to be from the owner/manager.

Beds are very springy making for not the best sleep, but can't fault the accommodation, very clean and has everything you need.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Very comfortable and cozy, me and my family enjoyed our stay in our cabins, really enjoyed my relaxing morning bath and price was very good and reasonable, didn't get to know reception lady well but she seemed really nice and good to talk too. We had a Family of 5 and I would definitely recommend for a Family looking for somewhere to stay in that area
Maybe a bit more privacy for the bathtub. People can see through the blinds at night if the light is on.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026- The room had everything you need (for the most part) - I liked how isolated it was from everyone - I liked the bath - The staff were very friendly - Fish and chip shop was a 50m walk - AC was great - 2min drive to the local 4 square
When I arrived (after hours), I followed the procedures in order to obtain my room key. However the key they gave me was for the wrong room. It took me 1 hour of reading, calling (with no answer), messaging, asking other guests for help, walking around in the cold and thinking "am I going to have to sleep in my car tonight?" before I finally got an answer on the phone and resolved my problem. A few more very very minor things. The shower needs a shelf to put your stuff on, the bathroom and outdoor bath needs hooks to hang your stuff, perhaps a scrubber to wash dishes, the drying room didn't dry my stuff (was left in there overnight) and the AC in my apartment did a better job.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Great little pod rooms in a very central location to drive to whakapapa or Ohakune. 2 minutes from the pub and the park hotel restaurant for meals. Clean comfortable rooms. Loved the outdoor bath.
Road outside was a bit noisy but it didn’t bother us. POD rooms are comfortable but quite small. Ok for 2 people. Would be squashed if you tried to add a child.

Tap in the kitchen was a bit weird and would kinda squirt me when I was using it so had to try to avoid getting wet. But this is just a small inconvience.

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026Cabin was compact and cozy. The outdoor tub was a nice bonus. The common shared kitchen and recreation room was great. The heater kept the room really warm even when the temperature went down to -3 degrees on one of those days. The accommodation was very close to the mountains so very convenient for being the starting point.
Despite privacy screens, it did not feel very private with the tub placed right next to the road with cars and people passing by all the time. If not a mini-kitchen, there could have been a kitchen tap/sink in the main room. It was a bit awkward to get water from bathroom sink and that sink was too tiny.

The room/pod was a but musty initially, just needed a bit of airing out. There was a bit of mould in the bathroom. The bathroom was a bit small for me, I'm a big guy.
