Once we found the location it was so conveniently located to everything. Has common areas to enjoy outside of the room. Frank was a wonderful host. We would stay here again

The host was delightful and very helpful.

Great location to town centre. Very quiet and peaceful. It was spotless and so many small extras including a dining area to sit and have a cup of tea or glass of wine that you can keep in the fridge. Frank the host was available and extremely hospitable.

We had a pleasant stay here. The owner was warm and welcoming, and made sure we felt at home. The dining room was lovely and comfortable enough that I was able to get some work done there, and it was stocked with water and a fridge where we could keep our breakfast items. The location was great too: close to the city centre, with a nice walk into town whenever we wanted to explore. The street itself is quiet. We were also able to park right on the property, which made coming and going so much easier. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay.

Der Preis war mit 170€ für eine Person viel zu hoch. Es gab ja noch nicht einmal Frühstück. Die Dusche funktionierte nicht richtig, die Armatur war locker, das Wasser ließ sich nicht richtig einstellen und es tropfte hinterher noch eine Weile. Obwohl das Ambiente eigentlich sehr angenehm war, hat mich der zu hohe Preis geärgert. 120€ hätte ich angemessen gefunden.

Check in was incredibly easy and the host was nice and accommodating. The location was very close to the national forest and we easily walked there. It is also close to the city center and many food options. It was very convenient! I would definitely stay again and recommend to my friends.

The room and bathroom were very small. The water in the shower took a long time to get hot and the shower tray did not empty while using. The location was very good for town access.

There were bugs or flies all over the room, couldn’t even walk with the shoes off.. The facilities were just about ok. For the price they are asking they did not even offer breakfast or snacks. Signs everywhere in caps lock constantly reminding you that you have to leave before 11, very intimidating. Owner is friendly, however, that’s the only positive thing. Would not recommend

The Windwsy House was a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and good for our needs, which was to have a clean comfortable room near the center of town. It also had a nice dining area where we could enjoy an afternoon tea. They were also kind enough to hold our bags for us after we checked out so we would be able to take our tour to Dingle without being encumbered with our luggage. Thoughtfulness is a welcome gift when you are traveling.

The bathroom was very small, hard to move around in, and had some issues with extraction. Bathroom stayed wet for a long time.

Everything about this property is great. The host Frank was very welcoming even though I arrived late. The location is perfect for the planned start of the Ring of Kerry with a bias towards the Gap of Dunloe. The property is located a short walk from town.

Das Windway House liegt sehr zentral für Besuche in der Stadt und National Park Man kann da parkieren und zu Fuss überall hin. Man kann sich selber Frühstück machen und hat den Raum und Geschier dazu.Frank ist ein herzensguter Gastgeber. Er hat immer Regenschirme bereit fals es regnet.

A beautiful cozy house in a nice quiet neighborhood, just a short walk from Killarney's city center. I loved it!

Frank was an extremely welcoming and experienced host. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The accommodation is perfectly placed for easy access to the restaurants and shops.

There aren't enough kind words in the english or gaelic language to describe the fantastic quality of our stay at Windway. 11/10.

Frank is an amazing host to this establishment! He was very kind and accommodating throughout my stay. The area is close to town center but also just far away enough to relax and unwind from your day.

We didn't have breakfast there. The room and bathroom was pretty small. The location was within easy walking distance from the town main street and far enough away to be quiet.

One odd thing was that the owner gave us drinking water in reuseable glass bottles. It made me wonder how the glass bottles and stoppers were sanitized or how often they were replaced when not used. I don't think they had dates on them. When I asked him if we could drink the tap water he said no because it was water from a reservoir on the house. That wasn't ideal and somewhat inconvenient. Also, I know it's a guesthouse but it had 4 stars clearly displayed out front. I don't know what the parameters for 4 star guesthouses are but I would have expected better. Also it doesn't have a 24 hour reception desk and we were given a single keychain with an old time door key on it and a regular key to get in the front door. Now these aren't dealbreakers but just suboptimal for a residence that chaims 4 star accomodations.

Badezimmer ganz ohne Heizung, Dusche mit Vorhang. Heizung im Schlafraum ging zentrak gesteiert abends irgendwann komplett aus und morgens erst wieder spät an. Nur 1 freie Steckdose bodennah in Türnähe. Weniger wichtig: WLAN um 23 Uhr nicht mehr verfügbar.

We arrived just as Storm Dave was hitting & had been riding a motorbike. So we were wet and drippy. The owner was so understanding about this. He was SO welcoming; showing us everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. You could just tell he's been in hospitality for a long while - everything we could possibly have needed was to hand. Even an umbrella in case we wanted to go outside while it was still raining. The place is a quick 5 minute walk to the town centre, but quiet in the evenings. He also had information on recommended restaurants / coffee shops & good spots for breakfast. Whilst they do not provide breakfast, there is a large dining area with cutlery, crockery, a microwave, toaster etc. Tea / coffee making station in the rooms & extra in the dining area.

Not much; we really enjoyed our stay. Maybe needed a bigger TV...

Frank was a lovely host. We felt right at home and very comfortable. On the day of our checkout, we were going to store our luggage at the Windway House and go on a bus tour of the Ring of Kerry. However, Frank and his wife had to attend to a personal matter and could not guarantee they would be there to give us back our bags (which he said has never happened before). To make it up to us, Frank drove us with our bags into town in the morning so we could avoid a long rainy walk with our suitcases. We were able to store our bags on the tour bus, so it worked out. It was a nice gesture that we appreciated greatly!

Location was a short walk to food and entertainment. The host was very cordial and attentive.

I sleep with a medical device and there electrical outlets were few and not close to the bedside. The bathroom was quite tiny and the sink was difficult to get warm water due to the type of faucets.

The room and house was charming. The host was so friendly and helpful. He had wonderful suggestions for sights to see and dining options. He also accommodated our travel schedules. The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk from the center of town and the national park.

The only disappointment was the size of the bathroom, which can’t be changed. It was difficult to turn around in the bathroom, let alone wash my face, brush teeth, etc, without bumping elbows and knees. That being said, I would 100% stay there again.

The Windway House is an absolutely lovely little guest house in Killarney situated within walking distance to both downtown and the National Park. It is traditionally furnished with ornate paintings and photos, furniture and lighting. It was a very comfortable stay! While they are not a B&B, they do have a wonderful little dining area complete with microwave, flatware, dishware, tables and chairs. Just a lovely place! And very quiet, too!

There was nothing about the Windway House that I didn't like.

The man running the place was so kind and warm. He provided lots of recommendations for eating and visiting for us to get the most out of our stay. The other guests in the house kept to themselves (though friendly when we saw them) and we had ample privacy in our room and personal bathroom. We were near walking distance/walking distance to a bus that took us to everything we wanted to do! I would stay here every time I visited Killarney!

The shower was SO small and hard to maneuver in. I am 5'5" and built smaller and still had trouble moving around in there.

Not a complaint, as it's clearly stated,! but no breakfast at this B & "B". That said, not an issue at all. Frank has recommendations for wonderful breakfast places a short walk away.

The owner Frank was a marvelous host. He recommended several restaurants that were superb. He has umbrellas at the ready and we needed rhem.

Rooms were clean and the host Frank was amazing. Gave us several excellent recommendations for eating and helped us with timing to get to the airport. The location could not be better, within walking distance to everything downtown.

Rooms were a little hot even with windows open, having a fan in the rooms would be great.

We were welcomed by Frank, our host. (You will arrange a check time between 4 and 7pm if I recall the times correctly). We were able to park our rental car out front and felt like it was a safe location. He verified we were legally parked. The guesthouse has a dining area which is "self catering." There was a refrigerator, microwave, dishes, silverware and tables covered with tablecloths. (Used dishes are left on the table for housekeeping.) A cozy living room was available in the front that we could also enjoy. Frank has a list of recommended places to eat in the entry way. We ate at several of his recommendations and were pleased with the food and service. His guesthouse is a short 5-10 min walk to restaurants and shops in the area. The room had everything we needed including an umbrella to borrow. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Extra blankets were provided if needed. We found the location and street to be quiet. At the end of our stay, Frank helped to arrange a taxi to the train station on the morning we checked out. (We had returned our rental car the night before). He made certain our taxi arrived and wished us safe travels. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved everything about the Windway House. While the bathroom is small, it fit our needs. We are average heights (5'6" and 5'10") and it worked for us.
