We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to one of the Majlis Residence (801-803) which surpassed all of our expectations! The pictures don’t do the villa enough justice, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! From the minute we arrived at Valena Airport, the staff were amazing throughout our entire visit, nothing was too much for them, always friendly and even accommodated multiple birthday surprises for one of our party. Our host Mazey was amazing - contacted us daily and was always on hand with any queries, he even went above and beyond on our departure day. We can’t stress how helpful, friendly and genuine the staff are at Varu, they really do make the stay just that little bit more special. Special mention to Dimitha, Agra and all of the staff at Bay Rouge!

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at VARU by Atmosphere. The resort is beautiful, the staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful, and we were very happy with the service in general. Unfortunately, there was one serious issue that affected the end of our holiday. After eating at the resort, I became very ill with symptoms consistent with food poisoning, including severe vomiting and diarrhea. Since we had eaten almost the same food and I was the only one who had eaten certain meat and chicken items, I strongly suspect that the illness was food-related. This unfortunately had a major impact on the rest of my holiday and took several days to recover from. I still want to emphasize that our overall experience with the hotel and especially the staff was very positive. However, I believe the management should take this matter seriously and pay extra attention to food preparation, storage, hygiene, and temperature control in the kitchen to prevent similar incidents in the future. A beautiful resort with wonderful staff, but food safety is an area where extra care is absolutely essential.

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at VARU, and it truly became one of the most beautiful trips of our lives. The villa was amazing, the ocean was stunning, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Although the weather was a bit cloudy at times, it didn’t stop us from enjoying the resort and creating wonderful memories. The food was excellent, the facilities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. A special thanks to the team for making our anniversary feel so special. Ada çok büyük değil ama yine de günlük en az 10 bin adım attık odadan yemek alanlarına havuza sahile vs derken yürüyorsunuz bol bol. Biz sahil ve su üstü villası deneriz diye önce 4 gün aldık sonra vazgeçip 4+4 şeklinde ikisini de su üstü villası aldık. Bizimle ilgilenen Host Firey'de her yazdığımıza yardımcı oldu her sorunumuzu çözdü. Şef Lotfy bize özel pizzalarından yaptı adadaki huzur sakinlik ve gizlilik güzeldi. Havalimanından alınma ve tekrar geri bırakılma sorunsuz gerçekleşti her şey planlı programlı ilerledi hiçbir konuda aksama yaşamadık. Oda temizliği günde neredeyse 3 4 kez oluyordu ve bir kez olsun bile karşılaşmadık Asheer görünmez kahraman teşekkür ederiz. Genel olarak güzel bir deneyimdi balayı için güzel bir lokasyon ama genel bi deniz kum güneş tatili için uzak olabilir kendi düşüncem. Balayı için geldiğime pişman olmadım. Teşekkürler.

Odadaki mini bar atıştırmalıkları kısıtlıydı 2 çeşit cips ve 2 çeşit kuruyemiş vardı böyle bi lüks otelde sadece bunların olması açıkçası beni üzdü. Alkol kullanmadığımız için ekstra atıştırmalık talep ettik sağolsun Musa ekstra koydu ama dediğim gibi çeşit az olması üzdü artırılabilir. Havuz başındaki Bay Rouge bardaki atıştırmalıklar da bana göre az çeşitteydi. Yemek bölgelerinde fix hint mutfağı ve sıklıkla tabii doğal olaral asya mutfağı çıkıyordu ama uluslaraası özellikle bizim taraflara yakın yemekler pek yoktu daha çok pizza ve makarna üzerinden geçirdik tatilimizi aç kalmadık ama çeşitlerden yararlanamadık. Tatlı çeşitleri az ve açıkçası pek yemedik açık büfedekiler kötüydü, çeşitlendirilebilir. A la carte restoranlardaki tatlıları beğendik. Ayrıca son olarak saat 22'den sonra yemek yiyebileceğiniz alan kalmıyor snack tarzı bir şeyler konulabilirdi adanın 7/24 aktif olması gerektiğini düşünüyorum.

The place was amazing - views were breathtaking. The staff were very helpful and attentive and to be honest we had a wonderful time. The facilities were great and we had fun playing tennis, being in the water chilling by the pool etc.

We didn't like the fact that we were forced to get to the airport more than 3 hours before our departure flight and that the person who arrranged transport was so inflexible and only communicated the departure time the night before which didn't give us much time to argue our point.

The place is wonderful, a real 'fantasy island', like the famous TV series. Starting with the personnel staff of the hotel, they provided one 'concierge' to us, who could assist us to select best choices of activities in the island and more (he could provide bookings for those activities as well). Furthermore, that staff could be contacted at any time by whatsapp message or call. The location views are stunning and the facilities around the island are the best (bars, restaurants, pools, spa, etc). We full recommend this place to everyone who wants and needs to enjoy some time in a paradise.

A little bit expensive, but it worth while each $ we have spent there. The minibar is filled every day, but it could be more generous, offering more than the usual 2 little bottles of beer daily, as we wanted to spend more time at the balcony of the accommodation with access to the sea.

La piscine et la plage sont très agréables, on peut faire du snorkeling depuis la plage et voir des tas de jolis poissons. On a eu la possibilité de faire des sorties snorkeling en bateau tous les jours. Winston, le coach de la salle de sport est top. C'est vraiment un lieu qui permet le zéro charge mental : on ne se marche pas dessus, pas de monde dans les restaurants ou à la piscine. Dès qu'on est arrivé, on a eu le whatapps du manager et on pouvait lui demander tout ce qu'on voulait juste par SMS : un véritable service de conciergerie très apprécié. Merci à tous vraiment pour l'excellent accueil que vous nous avez réservé.

We absolutely loved the island. It was a beautiful place. I think what made the stay was that whatever we needed was available to us almost immediately with a whatsapp message. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and had housekeeping service twice a day by Alamar - who was so lovely and friendly. The minibar included was a nice perk and again changing our coke to coke zero was no trouble. The Bayrouge pool was beautiful and service there was quick and of an amazing standard. The massage in the VaruPlan was delightful and had a beautiful outlook of the sea.

Having already given this feedback to the front of house team, our private pool was quite run down with lots of tiles coming lose. If you plan any surprises - make sure you specify this and confirm that they will not mention these bookings upon check in. The staff were very apologetic and made sure our experience was still amazing even with this hiccup. There are lots of extras that you can have if you pay for it - these are VERY EXPENSIVE and come with 17% GPT and 10% service on top.

Every evening felt like a movie scene, with colors you just can’t capture fully in photos. 🌅 What made our stay even more amazing was the people. The staff were incredibly warm, kind, and attentive. We may not remember all your names, but every single one of you made us feel welcome and cared for. Special shoutout to our room attendants—Amir, Kevin, and Shah—for taking such great care of our villa. Coming back to a clean, refreshed room twice a day made everything even more comfortable and relaxing. Everything about VARU—from the service, the views, the privacy, to the little details—made our first time in the Maldives truly unforgettable. We came here for our honeymoon, but we’re leaving with memories we’ll treasure forever. 💛

The natural habitat of the island is simply breathtaking. Even though the reefs around the resort are not fully alive, the combination of turquoise and deep blue waters with the white sand creates an impeccable scenery. The walking paths under the trees are beautifully landscaped and make the island feel peaceful and authentic. We even encountered rare flying fox bats, and watching manta rays visiting the crystal-clear waters beneath our villa was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. One of the things we loved most was the silence and privacy. Most of the time, we felt like we had the serene beaches completely to ourselves, which made the experience incredibly relaxing. The speedboat transfer was also perfectly organized and extremely comfortable. Reaching the resort so quickly and smoothly after arriving in Malé made the whole experience stress-free and convenient. The food and beverage quality — both the service and the cuisine itself — exceeded our expectations. There were many different cuisines available for every taste, and the à la carte restaurants were excellent. Kaage was especially memorable, with its authentic atmosphere and truly Michelin-level dining experience. The hospitality of every single staff member was amazing. Housekeeping cleaned the room twice a day according to our schedule and activities, and the minibar and amenities were constantly refreshed and replenished, sometimes even twice daily if needed. We stayed in an overwater villa with a pool, and waking up to that view every morning, followed by a swim in the ocean, felt absolutely priceless. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a classic Maldivian wooden style that feels warm and elegant at the same time. This was our first time in the Maldives, so perhaps there are even more luxurious resorts out there, but we truly fell in love with the sincere, natural, and understated beauty of VARU.

Honestly, we could not think of a single unpleasant moment. It truly felt like a dream week for us. Even though it was said to be the rainy season, apart from a few short rains and some windy moments, every second was absolutely worth it.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price I had high expectations for VARU by Atmosphere, but unfortunately, the overall experience fell far below what you would expect from a resort in this category. Arrival & Transfer – Poorly Managed Upon arrival at the airport, there were no hotel representatives waiting for us. We had to go to another hotel and ask for help. After they made a call, someone showed up within a couple of minutes, but we were then left waiting outside for about 90 minutes in the heat before being transferred. Villa – Beautiful but Impractical We stayed in an overwater villa with a private pool. While the room itself is very beautiful, I would not recommend it. Access to the ocean is extremely неуд practical and potentially dangerous—you genuinely risk injuring yourself. On top of that, there is nothing interesting to see in the water below. Food – Big Disappointment (All-Inclusive) The biggest letdown was the food. * Paid restaurants: very good quality * All-inclusive options: very poor For a resort that promotes an all-inclusive experience, this is a major downside. Water Sports – Extremely Overpriced & Poorly Executed We paid $1,000 for a 2-hour jet ski experience that was supposed to include a guided tour and dolphin spotting. Instead, we got a 90-minute high-speed ride around the island, with no real experience—and to make things worse, we ran out of fuel because it wasn’t properly prepared. Snorkeling – Nothing to See If you’re coming here for snorkeling, don’t. There is virtually no marine life or interesting underwater scenery around the island.

This resort did not disappoint, everything was more that we imagined. The people here are so kind and nothing is too much. We were celebrating my birthday and they went out of their way to make it very special with a few surprises along the way. The resort is absolutely beautiful, very clean and easily walkable. This was the best resort hotel we have ever stayed at. We have visited many resorts over the years, including Hawaii, Cancun, Okinawa, Sicily, Corsica, and Phuket, but this one stood out with the most beautiful ocean and an excellent natural environment. The hotel staff welcomed us very warmly, and the restaurants were delicious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a wide variety of drinks available. The excursions included in the VARU plan were also very enjoyable. We believe the Maldives is a truly attractive country that makes us want to visit again.
