We enjoyed the hotel. It was bright, clean and well apponted, with helpful staff. But the parking arrangements didn't work well. We knew about the pay parking in advance but it proved problematic. We paid the £12 charge on arrival but in the morning saw a midnight text saying that our parking expired at midnight! The staff assured us that it would be alright but we were left anxious that an automatic fine would be forthcoming, and we still await that possibility.
Stayed here one night while visiting family in the area. Warm, clean and comfortable with proper sized bath towels big, soft and fluffy. Close to M25 but could not hear the traffic inside the hotel. You have to pay extra for parking and breakfast but it is worth it, breakfast was delicious and the fact that my husband is coeliac was not a problem. Staff friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay here again.
I booked this hotel and arriv4ed 15th Feb around 8pm , I have had issues with noise in this hotel in the past and one fault they have ( in my opinion ) is so many adjoining rooms. When I have stayed in these rooms it has been very noisy , you can hear people on phone , tv ECT .... hard to sleep. So I made a point to make this clear when I booked not to give me a room with adjoining room. So when I checked in I double checked “ no room with adjoining room please “ while I was checking in there was a woman sitting near the reception and had 3 children who were all screaming and banging the tables , I asked the man on reception can you also put me some place quite please away from families with children if poss ( as i needed to sleep ) . He said he would try , booked me in and gave me my key. I walked to the far side for the hotel and walked into the room , it had an adjoining room !!! I walked back to the man on reception and told him , he said “ yes but there is no one in that room “ I said but what if someone checks in and gets that room ... again he repeated “ there is no one in that room its empty “ .... I said again when if someone checks into that room , he said there is only one person left to check in tonight , i asked what room ? he said the one joined onto yours ........ I was shocked at the attitude. HE TOLD ME THE ROOM WAS EMPTY BUT HE KNEW THERE WAS SOMEONE CHECKING IN LATER TO THIS ROOM BUT DIDINT TELL ME TILL AFTER I KEPT ASKING. I told him I wanted another room , he gave me the one next door , so i went to the room lay in the bed and above me children screaming and jumping from something onto the floor repeatedly. I went back to the man on reception and told him , he just smiled so I asked for my invoice “ as I pre booked this room , he also charged me for a days parking “ he just started smirking and typed out my invoice , not once say sorry nothing ...... just smirking. As a Diamond Elite Member of IHG group you think you would be treated better , I have stayed in this hotel maybe 15 times and every time there is a problem but the location is good for me so I kept trying. I had to find a new place to stay that night at very short notice ( not an IHG ) and i will never stay at this hotel ever again , I wouldn’t stay there now even if it was offered to me for free !!!
Booked a room with 2 double beds for a family of 3. Upon arrival the room had been allocated to someone else and there were no connecting rooms left so we had to stay in separate rooms despite having a child and shared luggage. Apparently this is a first come first served hotel and if you don’t pre-pay you are not guaranteed a room. Parking is not free. I was given 2 rooms as a solution on the basis that this was ‘compensation’, no regard to the fact we could not be together as a family and that we would have to go between rooms with clothes and toiletries.
This hotel exceeded at every level . Great customer experience at check-in , well proportioned and nicely furnished room , good breakfast , easy parking (although payable as an extra) and a great breakfast. EV charging also provided (chargeable).
Worst stay in a hotel! The hygiene level of the staff are below par with spreading their germs around when they have colds instead of staying home. I am now sitting in the hotel with THE FLU caught from the staff contaminating everything and everyone. I am losing money not being able to work, laid up feeling very bad in bed with no help, wasting money having to stay an extra night with my whole plans having to change. Management refuses to rectify the inconvenience and staff continue to come to work with the flu with zero consideration for the guests. I would strongly advise against eating/drinking in The whole Reception, Resturant, Dining area as it needs an industrial clean from the germs flying about. Not a single face mask in sight. Coughing, sneezing and touching peoples cups, glasses, cutlery, plates, food, drinks with their raw hands and passing it on to you without a single care about you. If you want to catch their germs and end up ill then this place is your best bet but i suspect like myself nobody willingly wants to get sick so its best to find a different hotel with basic hygiene standards because this hotel is not it!
We were warmly welcomed (helps if you are IHG members!!). We popped into the bar for a drink after settling in after we arrived around 10:30pm, slightly later than planned as yours truly missed the turn off on the roundabout. The night barman was a bit unsure but there was another amber of staff around to save the day. We didn’t realise that on weekdays breakfasts stop at 9:30 but the lovely Joanna kept it open slightly longer. She suggested the omelette and we were not disappointed. There is a decent breakfast buffet selection and plenty of parking. IHG members get a 50% reduction for parking so it helps to sign up. There is a health and fitness place there you can use. I have a swim in the pool and used the hot tub and steam room. The gym isn’t too big but functional. The reception staff in the morning were very pleasant and I have the opinion that if needed, they would be able to solve any issues. If in the area, I will stay again
Nice size room , friendly staff , lovely breakfast, main meal was disappointment too expensive for little amount of food
Great hotel, rooms clean and fresh, lovely welcome as always especially from Charlotte, Daniela and the rest of the team
Wonderful stay at this hotel
Every room I’ve stayed in here has connecting rooms. You can hear a pin drop in the next room. Light switches being made etc etc. if you get someone so boring your knackered. Phone signal is pants and WI-FI is hot and miss.
Excellent facilities and friendly staff combined for an excellent business stay. Thank you!
No phone signal And couldn’t connect to the WI-FI. Adjoining room was noisy. You could hear every switch and word said.
Got food poisoning spent 3 days in bed
My pickup truck got stolen.
As a local charity, we have worked with Holiday Inn Brentwood on many occasions - from hosting our fundraising events, to arranging special celebrations for those in our care. Every event is seamless, with friendly service, fantastic food, warm hospitality, and seamless organisation. Worth special mention, is that the team go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome, valued, and comfortable. We are incredibly grateful for Holiday Inn Brentwood's compassion and generosity - and proud to have them as part of our community.
OK for business but certain details need reviewing. EG. There are lots of signs in the car park to say you will get an immediate fine if you don't pay on arrival. However the staff advised I could save money by booking my car in after hotel registration. If you want to have food from the Marco Pierre White Pizzaria you have to sit in the restaraunt and you cannot order room service. As a sole female business traveller I don't feel comfortable to sit in a restaurant on my own - so I chose a salad dish and glass of wine from the main bar. I paid over £25 for a horrible wholefood salad and grilled chicken add on. The salad was cold and tasteless. Weirdly the cold slimy chicken tasted of fish and made me anxious about cross contamination. I had to carry the tray to my room, with people breathing down my neck in the lift. Not nice and I will not be revisiting.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet giving us a really good night's sleep. It was a shame I didn't have time to use the pool and spa, but hopefully next time.
Excellent! Lovely meeting at reception, all staff were attentive and friendly. Room was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant, food was delicious and plentiful. Help yourself breakfast was great and hot, was also replenished quickly. Easy to park, had ev charge points. Would recommend
Staff very friendly and helpful
As a frequent user of this hotel over many many years I cannot fault the team - always willing to go the extra mile to help and assist in anyway - current management team are focused on improving every time I stay here - kudos to Danella Charlotte Julie and the rest of the team
As a regular IHG guest and Gold IHG member it’s always a pleasure to stay at somewhere that is above the grade as we did last night This Holiday Inn communal areas look bright and fresh and house Marco Pierre White brasserie where I enjoyed chicken liver Pate and blade of beef with a very pleasant sauce and a complements My room was clean , bright and fresh and enjoyed a comfortable sleep At reception Hana was engaging and pleasant and showed my colleague Charles the Gym of which he was very complimentary There is a large carpark The only reason for not awarding a 5* review was that at dinner I ordered two drinks (Double Captain Morgan’s and Coke ) and was charged two different prices the 2nd being £1 higher I would recommend some training for your bar staff? I all other respects highly recommended
Lovely friendly staff Hana @ reception went over and beyond. Rooms were comfortable and the bar was great.
Small things: the tiny milk tubs supplied were off; and the water bottles supplied had caps that were unopenable except by breaking them. Perhaps both these items had been stored for a long time?
Poor hygiene, rude staff
.
Good stay in Harold wood.
friendly staff, good location
Our second time staying at this comfortable hotel which we find to be a great stop for visiting family. Nouman, Anisha and the other staff were all very accommodating and helpful, and particularly welcoming to our children. Thanks, I am sure we'll be back!
Breakfast below average
A group of 20 of us stayed here the night before a special event. I contacted the hotel in advance to see if we could arrange a table for dinner together, they went above and beyond to accommodate us (thank you Lillie and Daniela), the waitress who took our order was excellent and all the food came out together! Every single person we dealt with had exceptional customer service skills including the lady at the pool reception, the main reception, the bar and breakfast. Thank you everyone! The rooms and facilities were as expected for Holiday Inn and parking was only £6 as an IHG member which was a nice surprise.
I was on a course at the Holiday Inn Brentwood. One thing I noticed the moment I set foot into the hotel is that you can smell how clean it is. Now I didn’t get to stay at the hotel and catering was provided. That food was divine. However, it was only on the final day I realised how good their cooking was. Anyone who knows me knows I love Mexican food so I had no hesitation in ordering nachos. They were divine. Those nacho chips were not bought from the supermarket. Someone had made them in the kitchen. The same can be said for that guacamole and sour cream sauce. That cheese was fantastic as well. However the onions were as crisp as you can imagine. The chef had clearly chopped fresh onions. This was genuine authentic Mexican cooking. I felt as if I was in Mexico. So the usual questions. Was it worth the money? Good value at 5 times the cost. Would I go there again? Of course. Would I recommend them to anyone else? Of course. All in all I was truly shaken but not stirred.
We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel however rooms especially the pool area and jacuzzi area could do with major remodernastion. On arrival the Receptionist said our room wasn't ready and check in was at 4pm, I explained I checked in prior online and it was confirmed arrival time room would be ready at 3pm. My husband and I arrived at 2.50pm after about 1 min the Receptionist then said our room was ready, I found this bizarre as she hasn't called or checked with anyone to suddenly say the room is now actually ready. A mature man checked in 2 mins after us and he was not told check in was 4om but given access to his room immediately, I assessed discrimination going on here. Anyway the room was ok we had two double beds, there is no safe in the room but an iron, mini fridge and kettle available. The reception area and lounge area very inviting . We ate out in Brentwood first night but 2nd night decided to eat at Marco Pierre restaurant made our way there for dinner to find out it closes on Sundays, very convenient. So had to go out again to eat. Overall stay was ok, Brentwood is nice area, plenty space to park in car park ar £12 per night. Breakfast was good at £12. Dinner is quite expensive , had drinks at bar, local restaurants quite expensive, overall to stay at this hotel adds up when you include parking price and eating out. Overall I still had a relaxing stay at Holiday inn Brentwood but don't think I would revisit this hotel unless it was refurbished. Also the heat room is separate for men and women, only couples can use steam room , jacuzzi and pool. We didn't use the gym although seems adequate.
Stayed one night on business trip. This is a hotel that I have stayed many times but seems to have gone down hill. Check in took longer than expected as they couldn’t find my booking even though I am an IHG member. Decided to have a sandwich and drink prior to settling into my room, sandwich took over 30 mins and was incorrect. My room had to be moved as my TV did not work. This was carried out fairly quickly and for my troubles they gave me a drinks voucher. Problem is that they would only let me use it for certain drinks. Hotel is relatively clean but its facilities seem to have deteriorated.
Nice hotel, pool was good
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff, especially Nouman Ali, who checked us in he was very polite and very helpful, very well mannered, and also the staff are very friendly in the hotel from restaurant to cleaners every is so very friendly the breakfast was decent the rooms are clean and spacious newly furnished I believe and also has a pool and jacuzzi and steam and sauna also not so bad overall very nice stay
All on all a good stay with friendly staff. Car parking could be free for paying guests.
The shower in the room was nothing more than a soft trickle. Not really what I would expect from a budget hotel that is world known. I also think that charging for parking if you are staying overnight is a rip off and was disappointed with this.
good gym, Excellent steam room & sauna.
It’s a nice hotel but… scam parking it’s awful. There is no information anywhere about car park charges. £24 for one night it’s ridiculous. We have been told that we should pay on reception and it’s half price. Still to much especially when u pay a decent money for a room. Staff not really helpful. We have been told to ask for a refund but how ? Rooms very nice, modern design and clean. Bar staff not very well trained. How I can ask for a car park refund charge? I think it’s so unfair to pay that much ! Also, EV charge not available!
The stay was very good but a ripped pillowcase spoilt the overall experience. The housekeeping staff should have replaced with a better pillowcase. Apart from that, it was expensive considering the parking charge and breakfast but a nice stay however.
I do like this hotel and use it when I am in Romford on business. Have stayed here a few times, and when I do it’s for 2-3 nights. The £12 per day for parking, is a bit of a rip off especially when spending £120 - £140 per night for accommodation, plus another £35 per day for food it is getting expensive. I think the parking charge for guests should be dropped like it was before my last visit. Shame as this is a decent Hotel and the staff are great.
Stayed for just one night. Room was clean and well equipped. Staffed extremely friendly and helpful. Good variety at breakfast buffet. Good value for money……….. Even though it is conveniently situated just off M25, it is still very quiet.
Please stop advertising the fact you have EV chargers when you don’t. They’ve not worked in “ages” and are apparently never going to. Some great staff and one little prat with the customer service skills of Pol Pot. Hotel a little tired and shabby, needs a refurb.
Facilities were good room was a bit dated
The staff were great! Very accommodating throughout the whole stay. There were some empty bottles and glass left in the corner of the hallway which were there throughout most of my stay, seems they had been left for the night staff to clean up. The pool area could do with family suitable changing area, there is nowhere for people with young children to change with ease. Breakfast was really good and displayed beautifully!
Ok hotel rooms look old & tired
cheeky with the parking, once your in there isn’t really any benefits , you charged for absolutely everything
I visited the hotel in December 2021. in March 2025 i receive court papers for an alleged parking charge through a court for £301 ! This is way in excess of 3 years since i visited. The hotel are eager to wash their hands of this association. STAY AWAY.
The staff were unbelievable during our stay at Brentwood Holiday Inn on 14th to the 15th March. It was the first time staying with our 8 month daughter. The staff provided a cot that was clean and comfortable. Pauline the hotel suoervisor and her morning staff were so accomdating, kind and lovely they were just such an amazing example of how people in the hospitality industry should be.
We had a great time staying in the hotel. Staffs were friendly, accomodating and very nice, especially Vikash in the reception. Amenities were superb! My daughter had a great time splashing into the pool while i relax into their jacuzzi and sauna. Room was spotless. We'll definitely come back here.
I was one of over 50 people booked into the hotel. We were visiting both Chelmsford and several locations within London so found this the ideal location. The hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful with a chef going above and beyond to ensure those with allergies were catered for. Plenty of food. Breakfast was particularly good with a wide variety provided and continuously replenished. If I had one issue it would be the gym/spa facilities were advertised as being open til 9:30pm however on arrival at the gym the attendant said it was closing in 40 mins with no explanation as to why.
Nice comfortable room.
Platinum Elite IHG member, I booked this stay in December 2024 for a family visit during Half Term. Stayed here regularly over the last 5 years & last time in November 2024. All 6 EV Chargers are not working, previously free on my last few visits. Told by the receptionist to use the nearby Shell Garage at 90p/kwh, probably the most expensive in the country & they only charged at 80kwh rather than the advertised 300kwh, which my car can handle & the battery was optimised for charging. Best laugh was the previous FREE Parking for members, is now £12.50 a DAY. They've previously stated they have issues with the car park being used by locals to abandon vehicles & are now charging everybody since Jan 2025 without communicating this to the customer. If you're staying for more than 5 days, it's CHEAPER to pay the £60 fine [within 14 days of notice], or just wait until reception is empty & enter the reg details on the tablet. I quired this with the receptionist, I was told that it's stated on the website, when pushed when the change was made that IHG MEMBERS have to pay, the same was repeated, I asked again & it was in January. Why wasn't I told this? When you've communicated that the pool is closed on the check-in email, the answer was that they have too many bookings... Rooms were redecorated in 2023 & already are looking tired. Breakfast was the only decent part of the stay & I will be looking for another location for my future stays.
The
EV chargers not working and told by receptionist to contact the company no help. Pool not available,Beds hard uncomfortable rooms tired and had to pay £12 a day parking ….when asked for help claiming money back receptionist very unhelpful…. Very disappointed ☹️
Compulsory car park fee of £12 for overnight
We enjoyed our stay and had a good weekend celebrating my wife’s birthday. We ate at Marco Pierre’s restaurant both for valentines evening and for my wife’s birthday the next day. There was confusion on what I had initially paid for prior but informed the staff that I had previously paid for the 3-course meal as they had me down for another plan. It took ages to connect to the WiFi but luckily I was eventually able to and showed the staff my confirmation so we then received the 3 courses. The food was ok the first night but we were a bit underwhelmed especially with the calamari as it’s our usual favourite but this version just did not taste that great either with no flavour even though we used all the lemon on it. We ordered bread for the table which was lovely when we dipped it in olive oil and vinegar, with the only complaint that there wasn’t enough. Breakfast at the hotel was nice with a variety of choice and was our favourite meal. The beds and room was comfy but we realised that it could do with a little renovation. They did not provide us with enough towels only two towels in the bathroom for the four of us, also they did not top up on the shower gel, so we resorted on using the shower gel I fortunately brought along with us. We used the pool, spa, steam and sauna rooms which were nice. The gym was tiny but had some good equipment. Again these areas could use a bit of TLC to bring it up to scratch but we still enjoyed it. The staff member who turned out to be the manager of the health club could have been a lot more friendlier as she had a face and attitude from hell and wasn’t very welcoming to most ppl who were about to use the facility. This does not give a good vibe at all. On our check out day we used the bar service which we received brilliant friendly service. My daughters also received their free ice cream so they were happy. I’m not sure if I would return to this hotel, however, we still had a good time regardless.
THE STAFF AT BREAKFAST WAS FANTASTIC Julie was great and was fantastic with my children they loved it and i was relaxed due to i did not have to worry .so i could enjoy the experience . look forward to return later in the year . many thx to the team at Brentwood
We have stayed at the holiday inn lots of times before, Brentwood was up to the normal standard, breakfast the first morning was cold so we asked the friendly staff you microwave it for us, the 2nd morning was lovely, the coffee was not as good as normal, quite bitter, plenty of choice of other drinks though, you can ask for omelette or pancakes which are freshly cooked for you which is really nice, great hotel, very pleased
We have regular family get togethers but always have difficulty choosing a convenient venue as family are from various locations We chose The Holiday Inn Brentwood for its location being so close to the M25 and also the A12 We only wanted to have lunch and sit and chat for a couple of hours We were all made so very welcome and the staff couldn't have been more helpful to us , especially Julie. We thank you very much for our very enjoyable afternoon in such a good setting . Would definitely recommend for its convenient location and accessibility and also for the extremely helpful staff
Disappointed to unexpectedly have to pay £12 parking for one day. No bottled water in room. Good food
I wanted a night away for my birthday, so specifically looked for a hotel with a pool and hot tub, as i like to check in on time go for a swim and jacuzzi and then go in the restaurant for dinner. The pool and the jacuzzi were out of action and the restaurant was fully booked, total waste of time and money going there.
We attended the cocktail masterclass to celebrate a friends birthday. The evening was fantastic and lots of fun. Thomas the barman showed us how to make 3 cocktails, then we had a go. Would definitely recommend this l, if you are looking to do something a little different.
Quality service as expected but food extremely expensive!
All good except the room was cold on a winter night
Try to cancel my booking as i paid cancellation charge iam 80 years old found it to difficult so i lost my money in future r pay at there hotel or not bother sorry happy New Year john
Hello, I would like to inform you that we were served by possibly the worst hotel staff in my history of staying at Holiday Inns across the country. His tone in every sentence is condescending. We came at 3.30 for a 4 o'clock check-in, I was told they are understaffed so it wouldn't be possible to check-in earlier, which is fine. However the tone and aggressive nature of his demeanor was off putting. I highly recommend as an experience individual (I believe he was a manager) he should be much better at his interpersonal skills. On top of that let me start with the room, the bathroom experience to be exact. The flush does not work properly. We have had to flush multiple times for it to work. The hand-wash was empty when we tried to use it, not sure why this would not have been filled in. I will attach a few pictures (if possible) about holes in walls, no clothes hanging hook in the bathroom and when entering the bathroom, there is a very rough surface that hurt my wife and daughter. We also had a buggy for our kids which did not fit the lift easily and when speaking to that reception person, he was very condescending. It seems this place was not made accessible for anyone except people who can walk up stairs easily. Such a tight lift and room entrance. Lastly, I would like to reiterate that this was by far the worst holiday inn experience. I really think the customer service and rooms should be upgraded. We are checking out soon and hope this message reaches the correct people and some action is taken. Additionally, the customer service while checking out was adequate. Thank you
Not the best hotel overrated for the price too - must remember not yo book any time soon until refurbished at least
Easy check in, comfortable bed, large bedroom, and had everything we needed for a one night stay in the area. Would stay again if nearby or recommend to others. Although we didn’t nice the bar looked nice and clean with good interior and decor.
The Englishing breakfast was excellent.
The gentleman checking us in was wonderful so for Customer Experience I’d give a 5! But the car park with accessibility to any entrance besides the front main is useless. A building with this size footprint and no actually accessible doors besides the main lobby. Also. Only one elevator that we saw also located next to the front desk. So if you’re in a room miles from the front desk on a higher floor, you have to make the trek back to the main entrance, get your stuff, up the lift, and back across the majority of the building. The notes say the hotel was newly renovated. I’d ask for my money back if I was the owner. I don’t know how bad it was previously but if this is the upgrade, I’d be furious as the owner. The TV is our room was really small, and really old. Again, for being newly remodeled I expected more. And then the trash cans we had were barely large enough for a soda can to fit. And we were out of Kleenex when we got to the room. Overall, experience with the staff was great. The appearance and functionality of the hotel as a whole, terrible.
Easy for us to get and convenient to stay overnight while visiting relatives. A pity that the taxi we booked was nearly half an hour late, in spite of the best efforts the receptionist in chasing the company
Friendly staff clean comfy warm room
Complete rip off. Booked 3 chinese business visitors for two nights and one for a total of 10 nights. We need to pick them up and drop them off after various meetings and drop them off to shower between the end of work and our eveni g meals. We cant drive up and down while they change and shower and have been told that we have only ten minutes to pick them up and drop them off otherwise we will incur a fine. We can pay to park there on top of the hefty room rates for pretty shoddy rooms. Complete joke. Again just ripping people off because they can.DO NOT STAY HERE. Go to the Harvard inn in stock. We won't ever use this hotel again. It's not workable for housing business guests or for leisure stays. Trying to get hold of customer complaints has been impossible. Hotel staff don't care. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY.....
Respectable Staff
OK
Highly recommend
Was a lovely family friendly place to stay, great service, food lovely rooms
Staff very helpful
4 night stay for business, chosen due to its proximity with client offices. Overall a little tired in general appearance, however staff were mostly friendly and helpful, room was clean if a little lacking in personality, parking was readily available and food was perfectly acceptable. Overall I would say it did nothing badly, did most things average to well, but did nothing to a level that made it stand out or would encourage you to choose it over an alternative if back in the area.
All good for business travels
Was charged £10 for parking and was told if I booked direct at a cheaper price I wouldn’t have had to pay parking charges, was told booking through 3rd parties parking charge applies so not useing hotels.com again as got ripped off
Nice stay overall, bit surprised by the parking charges as were not charged previous stays. I have a good suggestion, other hotels have signs outside the lifts and in the hallways saying that after 9pm the hallways become a quiet zone. It's a very good idea as I had to put up with noisy drunk people I the room next to me waking me up at 2am.
Fire alarm malfunction at 6 in the morning, not ideal
Overall this was a very mediocre stay in an incredibly noisy hotel. Frustratingly, there was a faulty fire alarm at 6 in the morning which went on for about 30 minutes. In itself, these things happen but it was on the back of an incredibly noisy evening with the hotel having pretty thin walls. Overall, the look and feel of the hotel is one in need of some attention, accepting it is a 3 star hotel
AC was not working
.
The stay was OK. As nice as your receiving and lobby area/services are, the quality of the rooms is a bit opposite. One would expect higher quality inside the rooms and that needs to significantly improve. My first room that was assigned had several moths/insects flying around. Might not stay here next time
Good location out of London onto M25
The hotel is clean and looks well maintained. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the dining room staff delightful. The only downside for us as a family were the reception desk and the person who was in charge of seating people for breakfast. They were in one word "offhand" On arrival the check in staff could not have been more disinterested. In fact they were so absorbed in having a personal conversation I wondered if we had the right hotel. They gave us no information regarding the facilities or what time breakfast was served. The next morning my family and I came down for breakfast and I asked if it could be added to the room seeing as I had not prepaid. The reply I received was "I don't know, you should have checked that" despite me asking if she could check this for me, followed by, "if you want breakfast it's £16.95 each" in a very abrupt manner, despite the fact that I had two children in tow whom supposedly I do not have to pay for. I told her that it seemed a bit expensive to which she replied, "well if you don't want breakfast you can go elsewhere" in an extremely sarcastic tone, before turning her back on me as if she had other things to do. I was in utter disbelief at the sheer rudeness of this young girl. My family and I decided we would leave as I had no intention of interacting with this girl again. I would say I'd stay here again but the truth is there is a lot to be said about getting the right staff and for that reason I won't be returning.
Was clean and quiet. Room was a bit small.Overall it was good for what i needed. Didnt spend a lot of time at hotel. Staff friendly and attentive.
Convenient location and quiet stay
For a Holiday inn hotel this property is not well maintained and the price for this was extortionate, breakfast is average but very expensive and also cleaning needs to done properly. Toilet was not cleaned. The only bonus was staff were great and friendly. Won’t consider coming back.
We stayed at the hotel for my wife’s birthday. They arranged some well drinks which was well appreciated. This is newly built hotel, very clean and friendly staff. I was surprised not to see eggs as breakfast option, given that I don’t eat pork.
Clean rooms, friendly staff and nice food.
Amazing hotel, really friendly staff and my children loved the pool! Would come back again!
Good sized, clean room. Big walk in shower.
New, modern hotel. Comfy room. Very friendly staff.
Really lovely hotel, would 100% stay again. Great location, really close to Old MacDonald’s farm and just off M25. Staff were all so lovely and helpful. Rooms great for families. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. Even got a little welcome gift bag for the kids which they loved and a free drink or desert voucher!
