Jodie the wedding coordinator and Joe couldn't have been more helpful. The wedding flowed beautifully. Thank you both for all of your help.
Had breakfast during my stay and I have to say that it was a very pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful which makes for a welcoming atmosphere. Well done to Chirstina, Adriana and Tracy, also a mention the the chefs Sandra and Lukman. 👍
Staff very friendly, Gabby & Kerry provided goo bar service
Lovely staff made me feel very welcome when solo, rooms nice comfortable and clean
Absolutely brilliant place to stay. I loved the fact that you can book for breakfast and dinner included in your stay. Makes it cheaper and convenient when travelling with family. Rooms are very clean and the cleaning team leave a lovely note in the room for you. The Bar and Restaurant staff are super helpful. The resident chef is brilliant. Food prepared freshly and delicious. The highlight of our stay was front desk staff, Jake. Such a wonderful and welcoming person. Very kind and interactive with everyone. Wish we could clone Jake for other hotels! Thanks a million IHG Basildon. You are the best. The only negative is the accessibility for breakfast. Hotel doesnt have a lift to go up to the breakfast restaurant although they offer to bring it to the restaurant downstairs for you.
We had a very pleasant stay on a Sunday evening. Room upgraded to include huge bed and views over the garden area. Lovely breakfast on the outside terrace overlooking the lake. Lovely friendly staff on Reception and in the breakfast area.
The staff were brilliant, we were here for a couple of weeks and within a day or two Simon had memorised our drinks order and our names, she is verry friendly and accommodating to us all and every time we see her we have a good laugh
We had a great experience, clean bedding and room good for our family of 4. Location is great. Breakfast was spot in and Patricia Marina was great.
Our group stayed at the Holiday Inn Basildon for a gymnastics staging camp and the service was outstanding. Thayn did an exceptional job looking after our group with his friendly demeanor, accommodating our requests, and ensuring that all dietaries were sorted out so there was no risk of anyone getting sick. 10/10 would recommend!
I had a great experience at Holiday Inn while attending a course. Although I did not stay in a room, I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The supervisor was especially helpful, approachable, and attentive, which made the experience even more positive.
Perfect venue for meeting - massive thanks to Thayn and team for everything!
We had a night cap in the bar and were served by Thayn who was a delight. Such a lovely barman with excellent conversation.
Stayed here for the rise of the footsoldier event brilliant staff polite the only issue I had was the over 30 night got refused entry because I wore trainers where the receptionist said it wad smart causal the security told me to go asda to get shoes and told my friend to go back the room and take his hat out so stayed in bar chatting to other foot soldier fans room was really nice with lake veiws nice beer garden
Thayne sorted us out big time. He came in on Saturday to set up our room
We’ve done lots of corporate events here and they deserve lots of credit. We have been looked after by Thayn and he’s professional, friendly and hard working. Anthring we needed he was always on top of it. Looking forward to using this venue for more events!
Thayn was a great server really lovely and helped us with everything we needed even at the end of his shift!
Jake was amazing l! Top receptionist couldn’t do enough for us and kept me company in the bar when I couldn’t sleep haha
The pros are: Beds large and comfortable. Bar Manager, Joe, was fantastic going above and beyond he even found some sugar free tonic water once we explained I was Diabetic then hid the last few bottles for me. The cons are: The buffet breakfast. Fried eggs were congealed, hash browns were rubbery, and baked beans were cold. All from just sitting around too long. Oh and be warned the parking is expensive at 12 pounds a night.
Thayn was a gentleman and service was great
We have been staying at this hotel for the last 10+ years as we live in Canada and use this hotel as our base when visiting. The staff are very attentive, pleasant and we have never had any issues with our stays. We would especially like to give a shout out to Thanyn, who always takes the time to ask how we are and makes sure everything is ok. This visit has been particularly difficult as we’re here for my Dad’s funeral and Thayn has been very considerate. What a great team member! Keep up the great work.
Staff very friendly, Simone & kalum provided goo bar service
After a hard days work, stayed at the HI Basildon, everyone was brilliant, Peter and Nikolaj was especially welcoming, looked after me so well and made me feel at home, I would highly recommend this hotel.
Room smelled like drains when I arrived, and A/C unit would only chill not heat so I had to rely on bathroom towel rail for some heat. Room overlooked very loud car park for Festival Park, and was near the elevators and the room door didn't do a good enough job of soundproofing hearing people coming and going. Reception staff were nice and I'm sure they'd have moved my room should I have asked but I do long days when I'm travelling for work and can only be bothered to move rooms under direst of conditions. Dinner and drinks in the bar one night was fine. Parking is £12 per day which added to the rate makes this place expensive compared to the very nearby Premier Inn which doesn't suffer from the noise.
Fab customer service from the bar. Thayn was lovely and chatty
Great hotel, excellent location next to lots of eatery places if not wanting to eat at the hotel. Nice walks around the lake too if wanting to get out. We ate out one night and then the second at the hotel. Served by Christina, Gabi, Joe and Jake through the evenings who were friendly and efficient. The food on the second night was very good quality (burger with sweet potato fries) so thank you to Medi & Georgi the cooks for that! Room was clean and comfortable. Only thing to improve would be the air con but I cracked the window and all okay.
Always a great experience here. Christina has exceptional customer service and keeps us coming back for our business meetings
Our recent corporate event at Holiday Inn Basildon was ultimately a positive experience, but it did start with some avoidable delays. The initial booking process and alignment with Head Office were noticeably slower than what we have previously experienced when dealing directly with the Basildon Events Team. In future, it would likely be far more effective — especially for returning clients and allowing the client/business relationship to grow — to allow the local team to handle the arrangements from the outset. Once communication shifted to the Basildon team, everything became significantly smoother and more efficient. From that point onwards, the service was excellent. The Events Team — Jodie, Michelle, and Thayn — were all a credit to the hotel. They were organised, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout. All items we asked to change last minute where no problem. A particular highlight was Thayn, whose professionalism stood out. He managed every last‑minute amendment with complete grace, positivity, and a “nothing is too much trouble” attitude. His calm and capable approach made the entire day feel effortless. He is truly an asset to Holiday Inn Basildon. For future events, I will specifically request Thayn, as he played a major role in making this event run so smoothly.
Room clean. Food good. Staff helpful. Christina especially attentive and customer friendly
Great staff. Thayn and his team in the bat treated a great atmosphere despite being very busy. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Food great, rooms clean, easy choice to stay here
Thayn the restaurant and bar supervisor was excellent. Great service and flexibility throughout. Food was good and Thayn helped ensuring a great stay by getting the football set up in the bar. Reception also good on helping with parking fee.
I have been staying at the hotel for the last few months and every time have been welcomed and look after. Thayn and the team were always smiling and willing to accommodate me and made it an enjoyable experience in the bar.
Hi always so polite and excellent food thankyou. Ray & karen
Fantastic breakfast catering for my coeliac vegan needs. Thanks to Christina, Adriana, Andrea and Ajit
I have stayed at this hotel at least 8 times and have always had a great experience mostly due to the friendly and helpful staff. Specifically the restaurant staff in the morning are amazingly accommodating. The dining room is always clean and welcoming and Christina, Marina, Patricia and Sandra always greet you with a smile and make sure your breakfast is perfect. They are assets as employees.
Stayed here during half term for 2 nights. Visited family in Billericay and Wickford. This hotel is ideally located for leisure activities such as bowling, the cinema, darts, pool, mini golf, etc. plus various food and drink venues. Both trips to visit my family took no time at all by car. I gave a 4 star rating for 2 reasons, the room was an excellent family room with 2 double beds and a double sofa bed, it could have done with a fresh coat of paint or some modernising in my opinion. The other reason and slightly out of the control of the hotel but both nights at 10.30pm we could hear cars and bikes revving their engines constantly in the leisure park car parks (boy/girl racers) which did keep us awake for a while. It would’ve been worse if you had small children. We did mention it the next morning to the hotel staff who acknowledged it happens and they tell the park security who sometimes escalate it to the police. If we stay here again we will request a room at the back of the hotel rather than the front which should reduce the noise. Now for the good things. The staff were all welcoming, helpful and kind. Big shout out to Thayn who was friendly and took time to talk to us both days. The breakfast was fresh, had a decent variety of hot food, pastries, cereals, yogurts and meats/cheese, juices and hot drinks. The setting by the law out the back was lively also. We were on the 4th floor but never had an issue getting a lift or having to wait long. We will happily return as the price was fair and aside from the two matters mentioned above, it was an enjoyable stay.
Just wanted to say what a brilliant time I had at this hotel. Room was warm , clean spacious. Staff were outstanding especially Clare Matthams on reception who went over & above to ensure everything went smoothly. She is a true asset to the company, friendly & intelligent, she got everything sorted asap. 110% recommendation from me.
A big thank you to the team at the Holiday Inn, Basildon who did a great job keeping us all fed and watered at the board game convention there. They delivered food to our tables and promptly cleared the finished plates away, ensuring we could just focus on our board game playing. A special thanks to Thayn and Jess for ensuring that my food reached me allergen free. Thayn took great care in helping me to adapt options to suit my dietary restrictions.
We run a three day social convention in the hotel conference rooms The staff do a fantastic job of looking after us and always with a smile Thayn ensured quick and efficient service and chef George fed us very well - thank you
Thayn was great - polite and attentive, although he didn't do a dance for us 🤣 Always a relaxed and friendly environment here. Thank you!
Just the break we didn't know we needed! Very relaxing, lovely people, Thayn very knowledgeable about his stock in the bar, very welcoming
I experienced excellent customer service especially the lady in red who gave myself and my friend 2 drinks vouchers each because of a mix up with my room which was quickly sorted. However I had difficulty with accessibility for people with mobility issues. I was fortunate that I had had a shower the morning I went. I had an accessible room but none of the bedrooms have a wet room or a walk in shower. Yes the bath was low enough for it to be stepped into but there was only one handle to hold onto on the wrong side of the bath. You need something to hold onto on the near side as well. If I was staying more than one night I would not have been able to use the washing facilities. Also the other issue I had was all the stairs going up to the breakfast room. If there was an accessible lift like the one at reception that would be better. I actually hurt my back climbing the stairs and that made breakfast miserable for me. I know you said if I sat downstairs, breakfast could be brought down to me but as my friends wanted to sit upstairs it wasn't a good option for me. The majority of the downstairs is taken up with a massive bar area. The breakfast bit should really be on the ground floor. Because of the excellent customer care service I would love to return (if you will have me back) but because of tge issues I encountered I could only give it 3 instead of 4 stars.
I had a wonderful brekky up stairs. Cooked just how I like it! Great meeting spaces down stairs where we both enjoyed our drinks I went for a hot chocolate and my mum had a caramel macchiato! Both made just right! Thank you staff and Christina at Holiday Inn.
I was here for a conference and I have to say Thayn was outstanding with his customer service when it came to lunches and generally very helpful throughout the day.
Welcomed with such amazing customer service little ones where given a voucher to use at the bar for a free little treat which my children absolutely loved nothing like a cheeky hot choclate and a biscuit treat the gentleman working behind the bar was so professional and his customers service was amazing honestly anything we asked he was able to assist he was helping with breakfast this morning and wow we have stayed in many hotels but this breakfast was one of the best clean inviting and plenty of choice We stayed in the family room and we was so happy with the size of the room the room was spotless and the beds where comfortable My children didn’t want to leave and we will definitely be returning thank you for a lovely stay x
Quality experience ,everything is clean and nice and the staff are great .Especially Thayn who’s customer service was excellent and he was always there to help .
Had a great trip ! Food was lovely ,rooms where nice and the staff was great .Especially Thayn ,he was very helpful and polite and made the Experience very pleasant.👊
Just spent our 3rd visit to this hotel. Unfortunately it was for only 1 night. The hotel was full but that did not stop all staff being attentive and polite, all were a credit to the hotel. Very helpful check in and breakfast room staff were great. Excellent buffet breakfast, just can you get non-dairy spread please! Looking forward to staying again
It was really lovely, staff were very friendly
I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents who stayed here several days before Christmas and after New Year's while visiting my husband's British family. This was their first visit to England. I cannot praise the managers and staff here enough. From management (like Kristy), to desk staff (like Claire), to housekeeping (especially the head who was exceedingly patient and kind in helping my parents be comfortable... I'm afraid I've forgotten her name), to the maintenance staff, everyone went above and beyond. But I must single out Thayn of the bar staff for extra kudos. Being from Tennessee, my mom has a serious sweet iced tea addiction. Not really a thing in England. So we bought her a pitcher and sweet tea bags so she could make tea in her room. However, there are no ice machines, so we bought her a container for ice and Thayn was super kind to her every time she needed ice. In fact, I think he spoiled her a bit, which was very much appreciated! We always stay here when we can't stay with friends and we always put visitors here who travel with us from the states. This is why. Everyone is friendly, the service is faultless, the restaurant is excellent, the bar is amazing, the rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the location is unbeatable, close to the Festival Leisure Park and within walking distance to many dining and entertainment options. Well done, everyone! We would never stay anywhere else in Basildon.
Family of 6 in 2 rooms for 2 nights. Comfortable rooms although cold in bathrooms (no heating). OK breakfast. Really nice atmosphere at bar in the evening. THAYNE looked after us especially the grandkids aged: 8, 10 and 12. He made them feel special. They loved having VIK passes.
Great space to work. Friendly helpful staff, especially Thayn. Bar area is clean and bright with a great view of the lake. We’ll be back soon!
Thayne was great! Thank you for the very good service and making good recommendations when I wasn't sure what to have. He's super efficient too! Very happy. Thank you
Thank you to Thayn! He served me at 11:50pm and again the next day at lunch. Great service. The whole team was great but a special thank you to Thayn! 😊😊😊
Had a great stay here after a long drive from Amsterdam due to all flights being cancelled after new year. Was all a bit tired but was cheered up by the Bar man Thayn who was great company and welcoming. Would come back just to see him.
Great service from Thayn at the bar, quick service and a great customer experience, very engaging and good conversation.
Brilliant service at bar, thayn decent lad good conversation. Bar area clean and tidy and good selection of drinks , recommend
Really warm welcome. Carpark explained Food & drink great & speedy service Thayn at the bar helped us decide on what to order by answering our questions Was friendly & made us feel very welcome. Great couple of hours in comfy surroundings.
I stayed here for 1 x night due to working in the local area. Very easy to find with plentiful parking and my room was of a decent size. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance if you don’t want to eat in the hotel ad it is on the edge of a leisure complex. I did eat breakfast in the hotel which was really nice (help yourself). The reason I rated 4 stars is due to the parking, lots of it but managed by an external company and expensive! If I was paying for the stay myself, I would’ve gone somewhere with free parking.
Reception lady Becs very nice and helpfull... food lovely and tasty, staff in general lovely mainly Thayn as he is smiling from the minute you walk to the bar till tou walk out. Great atmosphere . Rooms clean. Good value . Fully recommend this place.
Excellent service and friendly staff. The inn is starting to show its age, and rooms could do with a face-lift. The complimentary breakfast is excellent. Thayn and his bar staff are friendly and very helpful.
Great location with plenty of restaurants around it. Clean and cosy rooms and great value for money. Friendly staff throughout and a special shout out to Thayn who worked in the bar!
Had a great experience at the holiday inn, bar staff are friendly especially Kerry. Jake also pours a very nice pint of Guinness would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel, always great service, I stay here once a month with work and never have a bad experience. The staff are always really friendly and helpful
Had a great experience at Basildon Holiday Inn in October. The room itself could do with a little bit of upgrading, but the Staff were great, the hotel was spotless. Service was quick and faultless, a mention especially to Thayne, who made sure that we looked after at the bar and with our food. Friendly, warm and attentive.
holiday inn Basildon is a nice hotel, with lovely staff. Fairly modern decor and I’ve stayed here quite a bit with no issue. Sadly on one evening my van was broken into in the car park, which really begs the question as to why it’s open to the public. The staff were helpful in locating a camera close by and offering the footage to the police if they required it but sadly this can’t undo what’s been done already. If you’re a tradesmen I recommend you park as closely to the front as possible to avoid this happening to you, or find elsewhere , as sometimes it’s not worth risking your livelihood . For any other person staying , I can’t recommend the hotel enough, I’ve no hotel based complaints, just the unsecure car park…
I have to give a shout out to Thayn, we eat with a handful of kids at lunch time and we were concerned due to the rainy weather and having to keep the kids indoors. Thayn was so accommodating and understanding. I couldn’t fault his service. Great food, great service!
Thayn was absolutely brilliant with our group which included many small children. Nothing was too much trouble from drinks, food and turning on the air con when the children became hot. Brilliant service.
Lovely experience, always looked forward to dinnner time with great hospitality service shown from thayn who Is a laugh to be around and always makes the extra effort to make you feel welcome, top man!
Great conference hotel. Good selection of food at lunch. Tharyn and the team were helpful, but not intrusive and ensured that we were looked after from breakfast, lunch, through to tea , coffee and evening meals . Bathroom could do with a refresh, but overall , good value for money.
Brilliant hotel , a very relaxed environment, Tharyn we met was polite ,welcoming . Would stay here again when in the area . Rooms are well kept and comfortable bed, better night's sleep than a premier inn. Local food restaurants in walking distance from the hotel
Was there for business, hotel staff were very helpful, friendly Room had everything you would need for a comfortable stay Have to give a shout out to the excellent bar staff especially Thayne, he went above & beyond
I am writing this review solely due to the service provided by Thayn at the restaurant/coffee/bar area of the hotel. He was exceptional at customer support, offering suggestions as to food and drink options and also being so professional. I sat for hours near his work area and personally witnessed how he treated every customer he crossed paths with—it was simply exceptional as he approached everyone with a genuine desire to help and be kind.
My company booked an accessible room for one night, and there were some issues. So, I spoke with Georgina from reception and she was amazingly helpful and got me more of what I needed to make it easier for me. I headed to the bar for dinner I needed more information on their gluten-free options, Thayn was exceedingly helpful, ensured me from start to finish he would handle my order to make sure there was no gluten cross contamination. I was able to eat with the peace of mind I deserved. Extremely helpful and highly recommended!! Go and pay them a visit, you wouldn't be disappointed. I must add, the accessibility of the hotel is questionable, the flooring choice in the accessible room requires an inspection, tiles have no grip and cannot be deemed accessible. Although, I could manoeuvre throughout the hotel, the doors are heavy and not automatic. Carpets throughout make it challenging to propel and the fact they only have baths and not wet rooms is questionable.
.
Good hotel with plenty of parking and lots going on around it if you want to eat out. Room was nice, shower was ace, breakfast yummy and the staff were very friendly from check in to check out.
Indulgence over 30s night. Good points; a good vibe there, most people were OK with mingling. The DJ was reasonably good there and played a mixture of music and helped by playing requests and I even managed to get a few others to go up and request songs. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I shall return again if I got the chance. Bad points; although I regret having to do this, one of the security staff there on the night seemed to have a power trip with me and wanted to treat me like an 18 year old. I am 50. All wanted to do was let my hair down and do some dad dancing and enjoy myself. Apparently he'd witnesses me trying to talk to women and they "didn't like it". I told him he'd mistaken me for someone else. I also explained to him that I'm pretty sure that they would have told me and I would have gone away. I'm sure that over 30s have had a lot more experience in saying "no". He then walked me to his colleague who appeared to be (reluctantly) trying to agree with the first one like I was some sort of sex pest. I went there to avoid stuff like this in clubs where 18-25 year olds are hang out. The ultimatum given to me was to go back to my mates, or go home. I went back to my mates, relayed this info and then carried on dancing 'til gone 2pm and enjoying myself. I'm not a pervert of sex pest and to say I was doing that in the first place made me really annoyed and I was fuming to be polite.
Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Good location for our weekend visit to the area. Excellent breakfast
Really great service at the bar from Thayn & Gabi, made my colleague a delicious cocktail and really friendly service!!
Asked for a cocktail and received an excellent show and service from Thayn and Gabi. They were super friendly and attentive. Couldn’t have been more pleased.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but very dated bathroom.
My wife and I use Holiday Inn and its peers, and they can vary in quality. Sadley too many faults/complaints outnumber the positive issues with this site. Located in a leisure area (cinemas, restaurants etc) it was incredibly noisy at night. Positive it was clean and well maintained but it stops there. 2 night stay. Night one was a motor bike rally at midnight in the adjacent public car park. Night two followed with a boy racer contest around the same time. Night two was also marred by a young child in the room above running around at 1 in the morning (and again at 6.30!) Morning one commenced at around 6 am with the collection by the recycling vehicle - morning two by the window cleaners spraying and wiping/smearing the windows at 0730. A visit to the bar resulted in waiting for 10 minutes of one of the 3 in attendance (plus 2 on the desk) to bother to serve me. Finally having to pay £12 a night in addition to the room hire to park my car took the phish. Buter beware sums it up.
Everything was fine. However, there was some sort of party/gathering outside the front of the hotel, with music and drinking, that I could hear from my hotel room from about 3am to 7am. Not loud enough to be a real nuisance for me, but I expect other hotel guests sleep was affected by it.
Everything is great apart from accessible showers.
Stay here was very good room was very clean, food was very good and Thayn behind the bar was very friendly and a great guy to have a conversation with.
I've had another fantastic stay. Staff were extremely friendly. Im on crutches and the restaurant is upstairs so they brought breakfast down to me. Marina was lovely and nothing was too much hassle. Had a lovely chat to her each morning and Thayn looked after me well and took time each morning to say hello as I was on my own. Can't thank them enough. Room service was fabulous too and if u get a chance to try the sweet potato fries do it as you won't regret it 😃 😋
Disappointed that parking charges introduced since previous stay were not clear when booking, which meant was not best value booking. Corridors and therefore room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Bathroom areas of mould around bath/shower area. Although convenient for an event we were attending fell some way short of expectations.
You find out when you get there tgat it is going to cost you a whopping £15 to park your car (despite blue badge). Breakfast in the morning involves ascending around 25 stairs with no lift(not an easy task for a guest with very limited mobility). Couldnt eat the eggs as i didnt have a chisel handy. Server snatched away my slice of toast just as i had buttered it, absolutely will not go again.
Needed a bed for the night & Friends were staying here (we prefer Travelodge - cheaper - usually). Reluctantly had breakfast, the hash brown bites were a nice change, the rest was edible. Staff very nice. Unfortunately, a major disappointment was that a female guest in the restaurant (!) was talking very loud on her telephone which was on its speaker. Her young son was also on his phone with the speaker whilst he was watching something, he was also walking around the food placing the phone down by the food several times! I appreciate not all customers have manners (these definitely didn’t) but I do feel it should have been the staff’s job to ask them to be more considerate. The two really ruined my peaceful morning & hotel experience - which will live in my head!
Thayn, Georgina, Dorian, madhi, the whole team, great experience thanks for having us. Great food, lovely people, lovely experience must come back.
Great service and stay - amazing manager called Christy! Used it for an event happening at the Elizabeth suite and it was fantastic
Excellent assistance with some booking issues. Reception staff are exceptional helpful. Thanks so much to Alex, Georgina and Dorian
We recently stayed in the Holiday Inn where we had a great experience! We had lovely service from Thayn in the bar area. He is professional, personable and a perfect pourer of Guinness! An absolute credit to the business! Thank you very much!
The Basildon team are always helpful, particularly Thayn who consistently delivers outstanding customer service. Clean, uplifting environment with a lovely garden area. 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Holiday Inn Basildon - attended a conference: thank you to the staff who were all friendly and helpful - shout out to Thayne who made sure that catering was perfect throughout the day! Very good conference facilities, with a very nice bar area and outdoor seating area overlooking well kept gardens.
AC was good, bed was real comfy.
Recently attended HIB for an event in one of the meeting rooms. Venue was good and all staff helpful, but Thane went above and beyond to assist us where he could and was a great help! It’s people like him that make us want to return again in the future. Nothing was too much. Thanks Thane and the team at HIB.
Roberta at the front desk was helpful and lovely. Teddy, Thayn, and Matt at the bar were incredible. They anticipated our needs and delivered unparalleled personalized service that made us feel at home. We will definitely be back!
The hospitality we experienced was unmatched. Starting with Roberta at the front desk, her professionalism/ patience was greatly appreciated. Moving on to the Bar-tenders; Teddy, Thayn, and Matt were unmatched when in came to personality, charisma, and assimilation with all of their guests. I have stayed in many prestigious destination resorts, and the services provided by those three men made the service of a 5 star resort look like a motel. Keep those Lads around no matter what it takes.
The staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a cheery smile. A special thanks to Joe, Thayn, Rudd, Paul, Dave & Dan for always looking after our Rotary Club every Thursday. The bar menu is really good and quite varied. Highly recommended
I have stayed at this hotel on business for a number of years. Having not been for a couple of years I was looking forward to going back. Unfortunately the room was not the cleanest, lots of hairs were left in the bath / shower, cups were not clean and there was water in the kettle still. To top it off, the boy racers on festival park were out in force for the two nights so had to endure revving engines, racing, noisy cracking exhaust noises till late!! Although this is not the hotels fault, it will prevent me from returning.
