Shower area should have a full ( not part) glass door to prevent water splashing out.

Zapáchající koupelna, nefunkční ventilátor v koupelně, křivá( nakloněná) podlaha a tím pádem nakloněná postel a člověk spal s hlavou dolů což bylo dost nepříjemné, staré ručníky. Jednalo se o pokoj č. 106.

The clerks were very helpful in getting my postcards out. We would stay there everytime we come to visit. It is easy off and on the trains. Excellent restaurants close by and lovely coffee shops. The open market on Saturday's is fabulous.

Als we dan toch iets moeten noemen: de 'douchecabine' was half open, waardoor de badkamer flink nat kan worden als je niet goed oplet.

Een mooie kamer met hoge plafonds. Wel zouden de puntjes meer op de i mogen worden gezet qua hygiëne, zoals bij de gordijnen en het koffiehoekje. Dit zou het verblijf helemaal afmaken.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Die Lage war mega toll. Der Hauptbahnhof und das Stadtzentrum ist gleich um die Ecke aber es ist dennoch sehr still ubd Leise. Das Personal ist mega freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Frühstück, für das was man alles angeboten bekommt ist preislich sehr fair!:)
Die Duschkabine in unserem Zimmer hatte leider keine zweite Wand, was den Boden etwas nass machte. Aber außer dem einen kleinen Manko ist alles andere super gewesen:)!

Bel hôtel, calme et de très bon goût, très bien situé par rapport au centre de la ville pour la visiter ou aller dîner ou boire un verre, et par rapport à la gare pour aller à Amsterdam. Parking avec réservation à deux pas. Chambre de très bon confort, salle de bains spacieuse et agréable.

Kamer was warm, vasttapijt ook Ontbijt was de eerste ochtend dik in orde, tweede ochtend was er duidelijk te weinig personeel, pas na vijf minuten wachten konden we ons aanmelden voor het ontbijt. Bovendien was er (9u in de ochtend) heel veel op, duurde erg lang voor zaken werden bijgevuld (spek is er zelfs niet geweest tweede ochtend).

De koelkast deed het niet, het was heel erg gehorig, je hoorde de deuren slaan en de buren praten. De hele avond en ochtend gestommel van boven. Het was redelijk stoffig overal.

Die ein oder anderen Damen an der Rezeption waren nicht sehr engagiert und man hatte eher das Gefühl zu stören.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Bahnhof, in unserem Zimmer war es aber angenehm ruhig. Die Innenstadt ist zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Unsere Fahrräder konnten wir in einer benachbarten Garage sicher unterstellen.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026Excellent location for both Haarlem and visiting Amsterdam. It's only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Haarlem and a fifteen minute train ride into Amsterdam central station. It overlooks a square that has both the train station and the central bus station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking lot, although not located immediately adjacent to the hotel, was only a very short block away, and still convenient. The building was in good repair and the room was very nice.
The fridge was rather small and the size of a file drawer.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026The hotel is conveniently located next to the train and bus station, and a short walk through charming streets from the center of the city. Our room was cozy and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast had excellent selections and the dining room is large and spacious. The Lion D'Or was ideal for our one-night stay before departing on the ferry in nearby Ijmuiden to Newcastle, UK. Haarlem is almost like a relaxed version of Amsterdam.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026Super clean and nice decor. Very friendly helpful staff. Excellent location with quick access to train. Secure bike storage and bike shop next door. Haarlem is a great choice to stay outside of Amsterdam. Plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026Efficient and helpful staff - they sorted out a minor plumbing problem very speedily. Really comfortable bed, large rooms, ironing facilities provided in the room, and varied breakfast selection. Light food and drinks available nearly all day. We were travelling with two e-bikes so grateful for the convenient and secure storage for them. Location very close to the main station and city centre, although that brought some late night noise.
