En Sudáfrica, el premio es Schoon Huis Manor, una propiedad con un encanto a la altura de sentido del humor que salpimienta cada detalle. Por eso, y porque se sale de lo habitual es muy recomendable ir a descubrirlo. Gracias al chico que nos atendió, amable, dispuesto y encantador. Una noche que iba a ser anodina y que recordaremos siempre gracias a haber elegido este sitio.

Por poner algo, que hay que subir unas escaleritas preciosas con las maletas.

Brilliant spot for an overnight between flights. So comfortable and charming, and the service was excellent - highly recommended.

What a lovely gem, relatively close to ORT, hence just what I needed between flights. Alfred was super helpful. The room was spacious and sumptuous, 4 poster bed and all, and comfortable. Definitely on my list of favourites next time I need to overnight near the airport. Didn't sample the on-site restaurant - this time.

Minor quibbles only. The wire basket near the toilet was a bit of a head hazard, and no waste paper basket in the room.

Escolhemos a acomodação por ser perto do aeroporto e bem avaliada. Não nos arrependemos. A propriedade é linda, o quarto espaçoso, o banheiro perfeito e a cama confortável. Alfred foi atencioso e nos atendeu muito bem. Conhecemos o simpático Sr. Smiley. A acomodação possui apenas 4 quartos, então é importante o contato com a recepção para os horários de chegada e saída.

We love it so much that it has become our GO-TO place for layovers before our flight home. Alfred is really patient and kind.. always available when needed. We were out late for dinner and he waited for us to return before setting the alarm. And he was up very early the next morning! Love that everything smells so nice .. warm room , warm bed, soft towels….this is very needed after ‘surviving ‘ safaris..

Everything’s already perfect. Not a dislike.. just a wish-list .. a Japanese styled Bidet toilet with warm seats… a heater in the bathroom..

Everything. Rooms was lovely, bed so comfortable. Staff even put heater and electric blanket on for my arrival. It was perfect. I wish I could have stayed longer than one night.

A wonderful small boutique hotel, quirky and atmospheric, with helpful staff led by the excellent manager Alfred who explained the history of the place and showed us around the grounds. We hugely enjoyed our stay and would love to come back with more time.

You hear the planes flying overhead as the hotel is close to the airport but it did not spoil our sleep.

What a gorgeous place to stay during our transit to our safari. Exceptional and delicious breakfast Comfortable beds Incredible decore and gardens Just magical!

Det var ett väldigt vackert hus med en vacker trädgård. Han som tog emot oss var väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam.

Vi valde detta för att det låg i närheten av flygplatssen, eftersom vi skulle resa hem tidiga dagen efter. Dock ligger det inte någonting på gångavstånd. Känns mer som ett företagsområde. Men inne på själva boendet och trädgården märkte man inte av detta.

Be prepared to hear all the planes flying above, not for the light sleepers.

Sicherer Parkplatz, schönes großes Zimmer, Alles funktionstüchtig, freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück und nur 10km zum Flughafen. Gerne wieder.

Beautiful premises, clean and well-kept. Very cosy room (Dominique) with a hot shower that had good pressure. Super clean, great smelling sheets and towels. Amenities available e.g. hair dryer, toiletries, slippers, bathrobe, as well as his and hers sitting chairs and ample space for our two large luggages. Overall, the space and room were exactly like what we'd seen in the photos at booking. Service was very hospitable, from the guy (aptly named Alfred) to the guesthouse owner.

Noise from the airplanes definitely can't be helped, perhaps if the rooms had earplugs for guests that might come in handy.

Schoon Huis Manor liegt sehr praktisch 10 Minuten mit dem Auto vom Flughafen entfernt. Uber Bestellung lief problemlos.Das Haus ist wirklich interessant gestaltet, man denkt, man wohnt im 18.Jahrhundert. Sehr schöne Fotomotive überall! Das Hotel hat nur 6 Zimmer und ist uneingeschränkt sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet.Frühstück ist sehr lecker und im Zimmer gibt es eine Kaffee-/Tee-Station, was ich immer begrüße. Unsere Betten waren auch sehr bequem. Das Personal (Alfred im Besonderen) ist unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und sympathisch. Wir waren nur 1 Nacht hier, aber ich würde beim nächsten Mal gerne wieder hier übernachten, schon alleine aufgrund des Flairs.

The staff were amazing. The house is perfect for more relaxed business meetings out in garden by the pool. Really enjoyed my stay and so did all the customers that visited for meetings.

Close to the airport, homely, clean and comfortable. Unique setting for this area. Pleasant stay.

Additional charging for late or early arrival. We did not need to use this but it seems inappropriate to charge per hour for early departure when the only thing is just to open the gate. We received a gate opener the day before. Why could one not just drop the key in a box

Great quiet, spacious and comfy b&b that was the perfect place for us to rest and digest after a long journey. Friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky enough to be there on a Sunday, when the restaurant on the property was open for a very tasty lunch.

Our stay at Schoon Huis Manor was absolutely perfect! Alfred, who helped us during our stay, was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. The manor itself is so lovely and beautifully kept, with such a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was served right on time and was delicious. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations – highly recommended!

Exceptional service and top-notch amenities. We especially appreciated the Nespresso machine with a selection of pods and even fresh milk provided. Every aspect of our stay was truly wonderful.

Such an authentic and well decorated comfortable establishment. Beautiful and very comfortable room. Great breakfast. Very helpful and attentive staff. It was a pleasure to stay there.

It's a very comfortable stay.. the towels, bathroom, bed was so soft.. after a week in the bush... this is is a luxury! Pick up by Khumbu was on time and very efficient.. as we arrive late and hungry.. he was really kind to offer us a ride for a take away. He waited patiently for about 20 mins and didn't charge us extra for the detour. Really app

our stay is already 10/10...it would have been 200% perfect stay if the room was warmed when we arrived... And as previous reviews.. the sound of airplane... sometimes, we do notice it.. it didn't wake us up from our sleep at all though..

Alfred was great, and did his best. They organised for gluten free bread and lactose free yoghurt.

I specifically filtered for hotels - with a view of room service, a bar and an easy trip to the airport. This is not a hotel - it is a guest house. There is no evening catering, or self-catering, or access to uber eats - because it is down a dirt road in an industrial area. It was difficult to find in the dark, and the uber driver was not happy. The lack of dinner meant that the staff, very kindly, was able to make fruit salad for supper. They made a very good effort with the breakfast - for an additional R200. While the airport shuttle was offered in theory - it was triple the cost of an uber - so not a real offer. Hotels in the area generally do a free shuttle. I was, understandably, the only guest. Which was disconcerting in such a remote spot.

Alfred made sure we felt comfortable and had an ear for all our needs. Breakfast was very nice and the Guesthouse Looks Wonderful.

Roads from the Airport to the Guest is Full of Portholes and the Neighborhood wasn‘t that nice

The room was beautiful. Some little broken spots here and there added to the old world charm without affecting the overall ability to use or enjoy the facilities. Bathroom fittings were new and tidy. Gardens are beautiful. Alfred was wonderful to deal with as was Dominique. Less than 15mins from the airport by car. Numerous restaurants close by to order delivery and Alfred kindly assisted in receiving the order. So much better than simply staying at a hotel chain.

The proximity to the airport does mean you get the odd plane flying over however it didn't bother me much as it wasn't very frequent.

What a wonderful castle like place. The wooden stair case is beautiful, the decorations fit the manor perfectly. The staff and owners are equally friendly and helpful, even beyond expectations. Breakfast was precisely what we would have wished for. It was 5C when we arrived and the heaters had already been turned on. So welcoming. The shuttle service was very much appreciated. The beds were comfortable, the curtains were very good, everything was clean and well maintained. Just perfect.

The loud airplanes that we had just used ourselves, so we have no right to complain really, especially since it’s such a short ride.

Very quirky. So interesting and as a place to stay near an airport so much better than a soulless ‘box’ room. Excellent communication before our stay from Dominique. Fabulous service and attention from manager Alfred during our stay.
