Incredible gourmet breakfasts, extremely clean, and Simon is an excellent, friendly host.

The breakfasts are delicious works of culinary artistry, beautifully presented, and they kept me going practically until dinner. I couldn't wait for the next morning to what we get next. Simon is a generous, engaging and resourceful host who gave helpful suggestions when I asked about local sites. The flea market items for sale throughout the house made for fun browsing in every hallway and common room. I would come back to this unique place for sure, close to downtown and all sorts of restaurants. Abig thank you to Simon!

We had such a delightful time at La Maison. Simon the host was incredibly gracious, friendly and helpful. The inn is just charming--and comfortable. The breakfast was out of this world and starting with an amazing fruit bowl that included grilled pineapple and creme fraishe. He then made a poached egg wrapped in prosciutto, cheese and a croissant. The coffee was strong and smooth. We will be back!

Great host, amazing breakfast, clean comfortable room with unique and interesting decor. If you want a big room in a modern hotel this isn’t your place but if you want a friendly, cozy, comfortable room at a reasonable price - with an amazing breakfast and a personable host - this is it!

Simon was amazing! Our party came into Magog after midnight needing an extra room, and Simon accommodated us cheerfully. The rooms are comfortable and decorated with interesting collectibles. And the breakfast was really first class!

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of a one-night stay at La Maison de Ville (August 2, 2025). The accommodation in a century home was outstanding. Our room was one of four on the second floor. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable, with an ensuite bathroom. There was a shared lounge area with television, Nespresso machine, toaster oven, fridge and balcony. Breakfast was fantastic. We started with a baked pear topped with apples, greens, sunflower and poppy seeds, and cream over caramel. That was followed by grilled eggplant, zucchini, another type of squash, poached egg, sunflower seeds and greens over toast. Coffee and the orange/pineapple juice were great. Presentation of the breakfast was first class. I appreciate the fact that Simon sources locally grown produce and goods. The location was perfect. It was one block from the lively restaurants and shops on rue Principale. Pointe-Merry Park and the lake were minutes away. Parking was free. Simon, the owner, was an outstanding host. Upon checking in, he asked if we had any dietary allergies. He offered suggestions about what we could see and do during our stay. During breakfast he explained the dishes that were served, and also took time to detail the extensive renovations and history of his 20 year ownership of this fabulous bed and breakfast. It was obvious that Simon is a trained chef. Our only regret was that we only stayed just one night. We will definitely return. Thank you, Simon.

We were looking for a place to stay one night in Magog, I hadn’t realized breakfast was included and it was stunning! I wish I took pictures, it tasted as good as it looked. I would definitely book again. Our host was welcoming and accommodating, letting us check in earlier and making sure we had a space in the parking lot to charge the car. Our room was small, but very comfortable, perfect for the night!

What a fantastic stay! Simon was amazing, so welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was quaint, cozy, and full of charm, perfect for a relaxing getaway. To top it all off, the breakfast was absolutely incredible, delicious and beautifully prepared by Simon. We absolutely loved our stay and would 100% recommend this bed-and-breakfast. Can’t wait to come back again!

This is wonderful small b&b. The owner Simon is delightful. The b&b is located one block from shops and restaurants, and only a few blocks from the lake. Parking was offered onsite. Rooms were creatively designed to fit toilet closet and shower. Breakfast was amazing. Overall, it was great stay.

This was a perfect stay for us while in Magog. This B&B is in a perfect location and convenient to downtown shopping. The owner, Simon Beaupre', was a perfect host and is a wonderful chef. His breakfast creations were simply amazing! Not only were his creations beautiful, the food was delicious. We were able to stay in two of the five rooms. Night #1 we stayed in room #5, which is the only room on the ground floor. It is a smaller room with a small corner shower, which is great if you are only staying a day or two. This room is the most convenient to the dining area and the front porch. Rooms #1 - #4 are on the second floor, as is the parlor, which is accessible for all patrons. If you have difficulty negotiating stairs, and room #5 is unavailable, you will not want to book your stay at this B&B. We truly enjoyed our stay and will look to staying here on future travels to Magog. We highly recommend this B&B for those looking for a quaint stay at 100+ year old home in downtown Magog. You will enjoy Simon's amazing breakfast. Simon can also serve dinners for those who pre-arrange this service with 4 or more.

A lovely experience! The B&B is beautifully designed in a Victorian-style home. The location couldn't be better—right in downtown Magog, just a two-minute walk from the lake. Simon, the owner, is a trained chef and artist who prepares exceptional multi-course, five-star breakfasts. If you're a gourmet, you should definitely stay here!

This is a truly unique place. The room was cozy with a private bathroom, walking through the house the decor is interesting and the needle point is as eclectic as it is finely crafted. Now on to the main attraction, Simon, our host.; An absolute delight, and the breakfast was truly exceptional. Next time I feel tempted to get up early to watch him craft these culinary masterpieces.

Adorable maison d'hôtes à 2 pas du centre ville de Magog (très pratique quand on veut dîner dehors et qu'il fait moins 15°C). La chambre est très cosy et la décoration originale, avec de très belles pièces type brocante. Notre hôte a été adorable et très arrangeant (arrivée tardive) et s'est même organisé pour nous véhiculer suite à un PB de voiture ! Et pour finir LE PETIT DÉJEUNER : des plats aussi beaux que bons, mélanges des arômes... Bref nous avons regretté de ne pas y dîner aussi. Nous reviendrons !

La Maison de Ville is an absolutely unique experience we were so happy to stumble upon for one night. Simon the owner is truly an artist whose canvas is hosting you. He’s perfectly available without hovering. Thoughtful touches are around every corner; if you’d like to hang something he’s installed a hook, or if you’d like to put something down there’s a table. Decor is quite maximalist but even if it’s not your style it’s so VERY well done and spotlessly clean just sit back and explore the magic he’s created. As others have mentioned the breakfast is **perfect** I’d try to book a dinner with a party of 4 if I were there for more than one night. Merci beaucoup!

Ce gîte de 5 chambres est absolument charmant! Le petit-déjeuner gastronomique et original vaut le détour, préparé et servi avec soin par le sympathique propriétaire Simon qui a été super chaleureux et attentionné avec nous, Ce B&B est situé en plein coeur de Magog, à seulement quelques minutes à pied des restaurants de la rue principale et de la salle de spectacle Le Vieux Clocher. Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans la chambre « La première » qui est très tranquille car située à l’arrière de la maison, à l’étage, un peu à l’écart des autres chambres. Elle n’est pas très grande mais très bien équipée et super confortable. Une magnifique découverte, nous y retournerons!

This is the quintessential inn you’ve been dreaming of, complete with cozy rooms, fun decorations, a comfy upstairs lounge and deck and a gracious inn keeper. Best of all were the delicious over-the-top 2-course breakfasts. We also had an awesome four course gourmet dinner.

Nice spot in a great location, one block from downtown Magog so good restaurants, parks and shopping nearby. Quiet, comfortable, slept really well. Friendly host, amazing breakfasts.

Owner Simon was such a great host. The highlight of our stay was definitely the 5 stars breakfast. We expected the usual continental one, however, to our surprise, it was a seated, very gastronomic, delicious two course meal. Thank you Simon.

Super breakfast and close to downtown. At age 77 a step in shower would have helped but the whole experience was great.

The breakfast was gourmet quality. Certainly the best we have ever had in all our travels (we’re in our 70s and have traveled a lot). Simon, our host, couldn’t have been more helpful as we planned our 3 day stay in Magog. We highly recommend this property.

Simon is a hoot. Full of life, funny and committed to providing his guests with a unique experience. Accommodations were eclectic and well suited to a pleasant stay. His delightful and creative breakfast was outstanding both in terms of his creativeness, quality of ingredients and its wholesomeness. This was more of a pleasant, welcome experience departing from the usual bed and mundane breakfast offerings usually encountered at traditional B&B inns. Its location well within walking (strolling might be a better word} of several great restaurants and bars in downtown Magog i a bonus.

This is a magical place to stay with so much care put into everything. The breakfast was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. The place is decorated with lots of fun antiques and other cool pieces. We’re already planning our next visit back!

Simon the host and chef was fabulous. He was very helpful in show us the highlights of Magog, such a hospitable and welcoming host. The rooms were beautifully decorated and furnished. Simon thought of everything that a guest might need when away from home. The breakfast was over the top and the dinner was extraordinary. All this because of Simon is such a great host .

We were there for 1 night on our way to Quebec City. Simon was a great host and we were the only people there that night. Being Easter Week it was quiet in Magog. We were in Le Cinquieme room which was the only one on the first floor. The other 4 rooms are up a creaky, somewhat steep staircase so we appreciated being downstairs. The interior of Le Maison de Ville is loaded with collections of crystal, a wall of mirrors upstairs and a beautiful setting for breakfast. Simon is a birder and has an enormous birdcage filled with birds (26 at the time we were there). I found the location to be within walking distance to the Main St and close to the huge lake that it borders on. It was late March so not too much was open but we will try to return for a few more nights during the summer or autumn. Very good stop for us on our way to Quebec City. A la prochaine! Simon we will be back someday! We highly recommend this B&B.

De plus c'est sans parler du souper 4 services que notre hôte Simon nous offre le soir. C’etait divin. Bref une place a retenir et un incontournable si vous êtes un amateur de gastronomie culinaire et d'une ambiance très cosy 😋. Je le recommande fortement.

The hotel is very easy to find and has off-street parking. The owner, Simon, could hardly be friendlier or more helpful. He told us that, as a chef, he is an artist. At breakfast our first morning there, we found he was not exaggerating. The rooms are smallish but very comfortable. The wifi was easily logged into and was plenty speedy. The shower in our room was very European — read "snug", but we were able to look into other rooms (on our first night there, we were the hotel's only guests) and saw that the shower facilities were roomier. We live not too very far from Magog and, on future visits there, would definitely stay at Maison de Ville again.

Nous y reviendrons certainement. Aussi, il y a une borne électrique sur la près près de la maison. Simon, chef cuisinier et propriétaire de la maison est très avenant c'est lui qui prépare l'excellent déjeuner de sa création du moment.

Comfortable accommodation and excellent breakfast.

The host was amazing and also a great chef. Breakfasts were something to look forward to. The property is in a safe neighborhood right in the heart Magog. Very walkable to great dining and Magog is a nice small town. Also, in driving distance to good attractions for skiing, hiking, wine tasting.

The owner has exquisite taste in decor and he is an amazing chef. I was not expecting two-course gourmet breakfasts, but they were delicious and beautifully plated. He is affable but not overbearing. The shower was hot and strong and the bed was super cozy. I would definitely recommend this and would love to come again!

Simon is an excellent host and a professional chef. Our 3 breakfasts were all exceptional both in flavour and in presentation! The house is an older home in need of some paint and repair, which is currently being done. It is well situated within walking distance to the lake and many restaurants. We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this B&B and would recommend it to friends.

Best place to stay in Magog! The home was clean, the family operating it was extremely friendly, the breakfast was fabulous! The home was very clean and very nicely decorated. There were beautiful details everywhere I looked. The common areas, the hallways and stairs, and the rooms. My room was spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfortable. The room had it's own bath and toilet. The shower and bath were very nice. The room had heat and air conditioning. The common areas were very nice, including a sitting room on the second floor, a deck off that room and the front porch. The dining area was very comfortable. The breakfast was worth the trip by itself. It was 5-star, not just pancakes and scrambled eggs. The family operating the home (Simon and his parents) are super nice, friendly and welcoming. Simon is an outstanding cook. Parking was a little tight but there is enough off-street parking for three or four cars and then parking on the street if needed. The B&B is only one block from the main activity downtown. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Magog and strongly recommend it.

The place was very nice and clean. Centrally located, can walk around to all the hot spots. The host was fantastic, great food and hospitality. The host also provided us with tickets to the festival that was going on. Great advice on local restaurants and shops. The stay was very pleasant, and would book again at this place.

This property is deceiving from the outside. It’s a cute building on the outside but the paint was peeling and the back driveway area a bit cluttered. Inside is beautifully and tastefully decorated - it’s very charming. Simon is a wonderful host and a superb chef. I can’t recommend the dinner and breakfast highly enough. He is such a talented chef. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his bed and bistro. It was an experience and both my husband and I are so pleased we went.

Simon is an impeccable host and an amazing cook. We not only ate amazing and inventive breakfasts the two mornings we spent at La Maison de Ville, but we also took advantage of the option to have dinner there. We joined two other couples for a 5 course meal that was absolutely incredible. La Maison de Ville is a block up from Rue La Principal, the main shopping and eating area of Magog. Our cozy room was furnished nicely with lovely amenities. We would definitely stay again.

My wife and I and our two-year-old son stayed at La Maison de Ville for one night last week and had an absolutely wonderful stay. Our host Simon, was very welcoming when we arrived and gave us a quick tour and directions to where dinner could be found. We also received cards to selected restaurants that are partners with the B&B for discounts which was an added bonus.   Our room was very nicely decorated with plenty of antique items. A lot of them are for sale as Simon told us so if there’s something you find that you love, you can probably pick it up. One thing to note with the room, our bathtub/shower was IN the actual bedroom (no separation from the rest of the room). It didn’t bother us in the least but something to maybe be aware of. The toilet however has its own enclosure. Everything was very clean and tidy. You can tell there’s a lot of care that goes into maintaining La Maison de Ville.   Breakfast was unbelievably unique and delicious! My description won’t do it justice but it was essentially a take on a gourmet French toast followed by poached eggs along with fresh juice and coffee. Simon studied the culinary arts years ago and it comes through in his amazing dishes. He even had Disney themed glasses and dishes and took the time and effort to plate the meals in a happy face for our son, which he loved. We learned that Simon also cooks dinner for guests who reserve in advance and are a party of four or more so we’ll definitely be back next year with friends to take advantage of that.   Thank you again Simon for a wonderful stay!

We loved our three day stay. The B&B was beautiful, comfortable and centrally located. Simon is a great host and a fantastic chef!

This is a gem. Don’t book an overpriced hotel- you will not get the same cozily and tastefully designed spaces. You won’t have the same proximity to the Main Street, groceries and pharmacy, and if you do book that overpriced resort- you won’t have the same warm hospitality and BEST breakfast you have ever had in your entire life! We’re already planning our next trip.

We had a wonderful stay! It was our first time in a bed and breakfast so didn't know what to expect. Simon was an absolute awesome host in every way. The breakfast served was beyond fabulous and we would definitely recommend staying there! Loved having the front terrace to use.
