Hotel JAL City Aomori

Very nice 🙂

The only upside is the location, but there are plenty other hotels in the same area.

The staff were unhelpful. We checked in barely after 4 and asked to be in a room where the bed was against the left side instead of the right. Hotels are designed in mirror images, so this is NOT imposible to accommodate and every other hotel in our travels have made the change. However, we were told it was impossible since all rooms were occupied. This is a lie. What they should have said is that they had already pre-assigned rooms and their policies and procedures are so dated that they will not accommodate flexibility, because they don’t want to - not because they can’t. People continued to check in all the way until 10 PM, when we came back from dinner. Face the fact that you don’t want to make a change instead of lying. That shows poor service, poor standards and poor management. JAL as an airline is a great company, as a hotel, not so much. Boomer company with boomer furnishings, and boomer policies and procedures. Just dated all around. The entire room felt old and dated, with scuff marks everywhere. Needs an upgrade urgently.

Excellent. Très confortable. Hyper propre. Bon rapport qualité prix

No safe, alarm went off, noise from hallway, old bed.

Loved our stay at this hotel. The newly renovated rooms are wonderful and the room offers everything you need. The staff even give you 2 x 2L water bottles and two cans of aomori apple drinks! Recommend 🙂

Good location with easy access to the main commercial/retail areas of Aomori. Everything for tourists is a very easy walk away. Staff very helpful and polite. In house laundry room is great feature.

Only a ten minute walk from the train station. Very welcoming reception. Single room was spaceous and cozy at the same time. Superb breakfast. I always book breakfast in Japan as it is always wonderful. Thank you everyone for the short but very enjoyable stay at Hotel JAL City Aomori!

I really like this Hotel, the views and the lovely greeting evening with local produce provided for your sampling.

One of the staff became impatient with me…and I do understand, as there is minimal English spoken in this hotel. Also, it was during a time where Aomori City was under a great deal of stress with the amount of snow they were experiencing. This was causing all kinds of problems for travellers.

Great location and easy access from train station. A little difficulty getting there in the snow but I got there. Room was clean and very comfortable with a great view of the snow covered neighbourhood. The breakfast was fantastic. I love a Japanese breakfast and really respect hotels that don’t offer too much western choices- as why should they? The food was amazing and the apple juice was fantastic of course being in apple country! There are a few restaurants around to choose from and a few shops. The Nebuta museum and A- factory is an easy walking distance. The snow was amazing and so much of it. Loved this hotel and highly recommend if your passing through or exploring more.

Nothing it was great.
