Good location. Breakfast was nice. Staff was great.

I recommend spending the extra money on a second floor room. Our room was noisy with guests walking into the property middle of the night or hearing voices up and down the street. The door is kept locked so when you arrive ring the bell.

Prachtige locatie, de kamer met balkon had fantastisch uitzicht. Alles rook heerlijk fris. Er was zelfs een washandje in de douche 👌. De deur uit en dan rechts is een voortreffelijk restaurant.

We had a fantastic time. The top floor rooms are comfortable, with a beautiful view. Breakfast is delicious with homemade cake every day. Service from Angela was kind and attentive. A great hotel.

Mi è piaciuta molto la posizione nel quale si trova la struttura, praticamente al centro di un paesino molto carino e pieno di locali. La camera è un pó piccola ma si nota la cura dei particolari e la proprietaria è stata molto gentile.

Die Unterkunft wird mit viel Liebe und Herzlichkeit geführt. Das Zimmer ist super. Die Betten bequem und alles supersauber. Das Frühstück ist liebevoll angerichtet mit Obst und individuell zubereiten Eierspeisen. Die Lage ist auch perfekt. Das Auto kann sicher in unmittelbarer Nähe abgestellt werden.

El desayuno bueno, aunque un poco escaso en cuanto a variedad de productos, la calidad muy buena. Las habitaciones excelentes porque estuvimos en dos, las dos fantásticas, nos encantaron, cada una con sus peculiaridades, no sabría decir cual nos gustó más. La ubicación maravillosa, creo que no podría ser mejor, en pleno centro. Excepcional también la atención de Yolanda, una gran profesional, súper agradable, atenta y simpática.

Sehr gut, Angela hat uns sehr angenehm empfangen mit Getränken, Früchten knd Süssigkriten. Sie hatvuns auch mit dem Taxi zum Restaurant für das Abendessen sehr geholfen. Auch das reichhaltige Frühstück genossen wir sehr. Wir würden wieder bei ihr absteigen und können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.

Our stay at Guarda Rios was truly exceptional from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality that we immediately felt at home. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and thoughtfully maintained, and the level of cleanliness is outstanding. Everything is taken care of with such attention to detail, from the fresh towels and excellent housekeeping to all the little touches that make a stay feel special. What really makes Guarda Rios stand out, however, is the people. The staff are incredibly attentive, warm and kind, always present without ever being intrusive. You can truly feel that they care about their guests and want everyone to have the best possible experience. The breakfast deserves a special mention, absolutely fantastic! Fresh, delicious and a wonderful way to start the day. The whole place has a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere and a very special ambience. It is one of those places where you immediately relax, feel welcome and simply don’t want to leave. We loved every moment of our stay and left already wishing we could come back. Guarda Rios is not just somewhere to stay – it is a place you will remember. We will definitely return!

Das Zimmer war so geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war super lecker. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage war sehr zentral. Ich war mit allem zufrieden.

Die Gäste, die nachts zurück kamen, haben nicht darauf Rücksicht genommen, dass andere Gäste vielleicht schon schlafen.

The staff are great. There is relatively easy to find free parking nearby. Amazing beaches nearby. A nice little town with some nice little eateries and shops. An AMAZING restaurant on the same street. The mattress with good quality medium firm no springs or annoying bounciness. The aircon was good. The balcony was small but lovely. Spotless everything. Fabulous breakfast, in or outdoors. There is a lovely calm vibe to the place. We'd return in a heartbeat.

Freundlichkeit, Höflichkeit, sehr sauber, Top Ausstattung, liebevoll angerichtetes Frühstück, am Nachmittag kann man kostenlos Kaffee/ Tee, Kuchen, Obst, Erfrischungen zu sich nehmen. Es werden mehrere Sprachen gesprochen. Zentral gelegen, dennoch ruhig.

Gar nichts, war prima.

There was nothing not to like. Angela and all of the staff were incredible, making us feel so welcome throughout our stay. The location was fabulous, the breakfast each morning was delicious, and the freshly baked cake served daily was a wonderful touch.

Fantastic location, very quiet but also near to the main area, the river and beaches. Tastefully refurbished and exceptionally clean. Efficient air conditioning, fridge and complimentary water provided. Plug sockets next to the bed. Lovely breakfast and personal service. Freshly homemade cake available throughout the day was a special touch.

Perhaps the property should consider making an iron available for guests. As it is not a big property, one iron would suffice for guests to share that could be borrowed then returned to reception.

Está muy bien cuidado todo el alojamiento. Puedo decir que el mejor con diferencia de lo que me quedado en todo Portugal.

L'accoglienza del personale è stata amichevole, la signora Angela, tra l'altro,parla abbastanza bene l'italiano. Buonissima e completa lo a colazione.

La habitación era muy pequeña; no tenía donde tender las toallas y ropa de la playa. Isabel intentó darnos una más grande, pagando un suplemento, pero no había disponibilidad.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang. Grosse Hilfsbereitschaft von seiten der Besitzerin und ihrer angestellten Personen. Schöner Einrichtungsstil. Gutes Frühstück. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Alles toll. Wir waren nur eine Nacht auf unserer Rundreise hier und wurden nett empfangen. Das Zimmer war toll und die Lage ist ausgezeichnet - ruhig aber zentral.

Es gab keine laktosefreie Alternative aber das war das einzige.

Es war auf unserer bisherigen Portugalreise das bisher schönste Zimmer. Alles sauber, die Aussicht traumhaft. Das Personal ist äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben es bereut, dass wir hier nur eine Nacht gebucht hatten. Auch das Frühstück inkl. Kaffee (da bin ich heikel) war sehr gut.

Excellent breakfast served Daily from 8:30-10:30M. Location is so close to the beach, walking trails and activities as well as local restaurants. Friendly service and spotless facilities. Our room had a beautiful ocean view from the balcony.

Wir sind den Fischerpfad gewandert. Frühstücksbeginn mit 0830h war daher etwas zu spät.

The place was very light and beautiful! We loved that they had an indoor and outdoor seating areas. The room had everything we wanted and was super comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. We really enjoyed the location. It felt really quiet but walkable to restaurants and the beach. They gave us beach towels and an umbrella for the beach.

We booked this as a middle stop on our slack-packing hike. Location was amazing, right up the street was the ferry and a smaller fort. Maria was very welcoming and cared for us very well. The room was beautiful and tastefully decorated, loved the balcony, and the town was idyllic! Try the cake! Also, we paid for the hiker’s lunch (best one).

O local está muito bem localizado. Muito confortável e são todos muito simpáticos. O pequeno-almoço é maravilhoso. Sem dúvida iremos regressar.

La funcionalidad. No es lujoso, pero está amueblado y dispuesto con acierto y todo cumple perfectamente. La terracita, suficientemente amplia y con vistas al mar. El buffet del desayuno se puede complementar con algún platillo de huevos rico y rápido. El personal amable y eficiente.

El aislamiento de la habitación. Se oyen los sonidos de las habitaciones contiguas (mi esposa y yo somos especialmente sensibles a los ruidos nocturnos). No es cierto que tenga aparcamiento. Hay que buscar hueco en la calle y los próximos están muy solicitados.

The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The place is spotlessly clean, well-located, and offers very easy access to the beach. The air conditioning and shower are also excellent.

Despite my positive comments above, the place is definitely overpriced. Breakfast is very basic, with the same selection of fruits, breads, and cakes every day. I booked a deluxe double room with a balcony, but the balcony was very small — especially compared to the standard double room balcony, which was much larger. The room itself was also somewhat small; we could not have two carry-on suitcases open at the same time due to the lack of space. The place is not bad, but the value for the price is poor

Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer im Erdgeschoss und dadurch keinen Ausblick. Etwas lauter durch die anderen Gäste und die Vorbereitungen auf das Frühstück

Wir hatten angefragt, wegen einem belegten Brot zum Mitnehmen, aber es wurde uns ein überteuertes Lunchpaket überreicht!!!

Tolle Materialen z.B. Bettwäsche auf dem bequemen Bett. Sehr gepflegtes Haus. Tolles Frühstück, dass man auch draussen geniessen konnte.

Leider hatte unser Zimmer keinen Balkon noch Aussicht. Das würde ich bei der nächsten Buchung berücksichtigen.

Very nice hosts

Wir haben zwei Nächte in dieser wundervollen Unterkunft verbracht. Von der Gastgeberin wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Unser sehr sauberes, helles und gemütliches Zimmer zusammen mit dem wunderschönen Balkon (Ausblick direkt aufs Meer) hat uns zwei erholsame Pausentage auf dem Fishermen's Trail ermöglicht. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und auch dort das Personal überaus freundlich.

Alleine schon wegen dem Frühstück im Innenhof lohnt sich der Aufenthalt. Der Ort ist sehr schön. Eine tolles Fischrestaurant und sehr schöne Strände sind in der Nähe. Parken ist überhaupt kein Problem.

We stayed one night while driving from Porto to Lagos. Great location - easy walk to the beach, the lighthouse, the fort, restaurants, and town. We booked a sea view balcony room and got exactly that. Hosts were really nice and breakfast was great.

Uns hat alles gefallen, aber der Preis war nicht angemessen. Es war alles sehr einfach, daher fanden wir den Preis im Verhältnis zu anderen Unterkünften, die wir hatten, extrem hoch. Trotzdem eine gute Unterkunft.
