Excellent
Great hotel for a relaxing break. Room was very nice and breakfast was very good.
Excellent breakfast!
A great welcoming from all staff - remembers our orders, names , and details of our day trips! Like going home each night!
Perhaps better lighting for reading
What a wonderful stay and host! Would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was excellent!
I loved everything about this property. And the amazing food was a true surprise. The dinner and breakfast were outstanding, the quality and presentation was wonderful. Just loved this property, will definitely recommend to all and stay again!
Staff is very helpful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights, the staff were attentive, the dinner and breakfast first class, we loved the accommodation, so peaceful, easy access to everything, highly recommend Sheedy’s, would love to come back and enjoy their hospitality again!
Spacious room in traditional style. Warm welcome from host. Great breakfast. A pleasant place to stay.
Very clean and welcoming property. Owners very pleasant
By far my favorite accommodations on our two week trip. A truly beautiful setting and wonderful rooms, we had a restful and peaceful time. The dinner we ate upon our arrival was spectacular, I wish I had asked to meet the chef, my husband said the appetizer was the best scallops he has ever had. The sticky toffee pudding was sublime!! The woman who appears to be in charge of all aspects of the facility was very professional and friendly. If I am every lucky enough to get to Ireland again I would definitely stay here!!
Wow !! What a find We booked this hotel because it was in lisdonvara Its a fantastic place to stay, food is michelin star class Breakfast fantastic And the room is huge with a sofa to relax watching tv Absolutely fantastic spot
Mrs Sheedy was incredibly nice and friendly and very accommodating. Definitely planning on staying here again, highly recommend!!
Beautiful garden and views and spacious, comfortable rooms
Martina is an excellent host ... very personable & heplful.
it felt like it was quaint with a touch of home to it. Everyone there was so nice.
We absolutely adored our day here! The hotel was beautiful with gardens and our room was lovely a nice sitting area plus bedroom, which over looked the garden. We only spent one night but it’s somewhere I wish we could have stayed longer. Only about 15 mins from doolin it’s all a very charming part of the country a must stay! The two women at the hotel were so kind and welcoming and made the most scrumptious breakfast for us! Stay here you’ll love it.
The dinning experience was outstanding! The food was exceptional and the service professional yet warm and inviting. Would make a return trip and plan a stay just to have dinner and enjoy the hospitality!
Nice room, nice sitting area, excellent food and very friendly staff
This was a lovely property and we would stay again in a heartbeat. The surrounds and garden were so attractive and well maintained & our room was literally perfect. Martina was a charming hostess. Breakfasts were gourmet & the evening we ate in the restaurant ranked in the top ten of a widely traveled couple.
Great accommodations, food, cleanliness and owner’s personal touch.
An absolute gem of a hotel in a lovely part of Ireland. Lots to do in the local area and a typically Irish warm welcome. Food was great, the room was spacious and comfortable with good facilities. This had a nice old-fashioned country hitel feel, but with all the modern conveniences one could want. I cannot recommend Sheedy's highly enough.
The country house hotel was a wonderful hotel, with a warm, welcoming staff, delicious breakfast, and great location. We will be back!
Fantastic place to stay. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Quiet, relaxing and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very accommodating when we needed an early breakfast. Great location to visit the Burren, Doolin, Lahinch. Would highly recommend this hotel for couples. Can’t wait to return.
Fantastic location and beautiful hotel to stay in --- breakfast in the morning was superb. I would highly recommend a stay at Sheedys, and I will hoepfully be back in the near future
Stayed for one night. The staff was excellent and very helpful! Would definitely stay here again. The local pubs where also very welcoming and friendly.
A warm welcome and an amazing breakfast
It was a last-minute change of plans and we got the last room on a Saturday night. Everything was pitch perfect and we were so glad we stumbled onto this gem.
Beautiful old style residence with spacious rooms.
Exquisite food. Friendly and hospitable host.ovely, quaint hotel.
We recently stayed at Sheedys and couldn't recommend it enough. The room was spotless and spacious, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning and the host was nothing but pleasant throughout our stay.
There is nothing i didn't like. On the contrary, i found many things i totally loved. As Martina's hospitality, and warm smile, John's cooking (oh wow), the home feeling in the whole residence, the unique ideas they have for their guests (as amazing light woolen blankets instead of duvet!!!, so you can add or take off as many as you want), as the cozy feeling in all over the hotel,(living rooms, library, bedrooms) and i could go on and on.... I only wish i will return as soon as possible with all my family.
everything......its is first class. Martina is a terrific hostess.
The property was in terrific shape. The room was spacious and we'll appointed. It was adjacent to town which was nice. The breakfast was superb.
Truly outstanding food ( the best I had in Ireland) coupled with an old world charm, we really enjoyed our stay. Consider this as a great place to stay if you are going to see the Cliffs of Moher.
Lovely hotel and great breakfasts. Our room was a bit dark but will definitely return.
Lovely comfortable, stylish and well-appointed hotel, personally run with a warm welcome from the proprietor and with excellent food.
The hotel was great and the people were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and well prepared.
It was excellent. Had a great time and highly recommend.
Sheedy's is my first choice when visiting the Burren, the Clifs of Moher and County Clare's historical sites. I love staying in period properties so I can experience history and Sheedy's has retained that feel while providing updated facilities designed to make one's stay more comfortable. I have experienced some of the best meals in Ireland at this locale. I highly recommend this lovely manor house facility.
great
This country in is exceptional! Extremely friendly, clean, quiet and phenomenal food both dinner and breakfast. A highlight of our Ireland trip! Thank you Martina and John for being wonderful hosts. John, the scallops were so good!
We could not fault this hotel in anyway from the initial check in to checking out we were made to feel at home. The hotel is quite, comfortable and spotless. The food is of an extremely high quality. If you are looking for nice place in the west of Ireland to get away from it all then look no further. You won’t be disappointed with this hotel. We wil be back.
We stayed one night and had dinner and breakfast. The meals were excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bath was very spacious and modern. This hotel pays attention to details. The hotel staff was also helpful with recommendations and help with directions. We were very happy with this hotel.
Very nice quiet room, wonderful food in restaurant, close to Cliffs of Moher & Burren.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Sheedy's. From the moment of our arrival, it exceeded our expectations. First and foremost, Martine (the owner we assumed) greeted us like we were old friends as she welcomed us into her home. Our room was so comfortable and inviting. When we were in Ireland everyday was sunny and warm. There is no air conditioning because it is rarely needed in Ireland, but I asked Martine if she had a fan that we could borrow and Martine gave us one immediately. When we arrived for dinner, Martine invited us to sit in the large, open foyer and gave us complimentary drinks and olives and told us to relax. The chef is excellent and the food and service is something you would expect at a fine New York city restaurant. Sheedy's was our favorite hotel we stayed at during our Ireland vacation. We will be back.
After spending three days at a Yoga Retreat in Liscannor we spent our last afternoon and night at Sheedy's and it was exactly what we had hoped it would be! We had a warm welcome and an invitation to have tea delivered to our room when we arrived. The room was impeccably furnished with attention given to every detail . The bathroom had large white fluffy towels and an amazing shower with perfect pressure. It was Sunday so we didn't get to have dinner in the Guest House dining room but we did enjoy a beautiful Irish Breakfast ( the best I've ever had) in the morning before we left which was truly appreciated! I highly recommend staying at Sheedy's if you are traveling to Southwest Ireland! The location is great for exploring County Clare!
This was a great place to stay as we travelled up the West Coast to Galway. Really helpful and friendly staff. Great food too.
Sheedy's offers a modern feel for the old ways of life in one of the most unusual parts of the Irish west coast. First built in the 1930s, Sheedy's is still run by the same gracious family. The inn has been very tastefully updated with period furniture, fine beds, and modern en-suite bathrooms. Sheedy's has a fantastic restaurant that serves locally sourced ingredients. An old-time pub with live, traditional Irish music is a short walk. It's an easy and scenic drive to the coast and its magnificent cliffs, a variety of 15/16th-century castles, and the "Burren" -- an expansive national park. Enjoy a great traditional Irish lunch with the friendly locals at Bofey Quinn's pub in Corofin. Galway is an hour+ north if you're in a hurry. Several ruins worth a visit lie along the way.
Great place. Amazing breakfast! Great place. Amazing breakfast! Great place. Amazing breakfast!
Martine, the owner, greeted us to her beautiful hotel near Doolin. It was clean, comfortable, charming, and an overall great place to spend the night between cliffs of moher and doolin for the ferry to the Aran islands. The dinner here was the best meal we had in Ireland and the breakfast was just as delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to any friend/family member!
Sheedy's is a beautiful B&B property and Martina is a most gracious hostess who serves up the most elegant, delicious traditional Irish Breakfast. The property is well kept, clean, large rooms with beautiful grounds and is within walking distance of the town center. One of our favorite places to stay in Ireland!
Sadly, we only had one night here! This was such an incredible bed and breakfast! Mrs. Sheedy bent over backwards to make sure everything was done to perfection! Breakfast was white linen and multi-course...all included in the cost. Highly recommend staying here!!!
Place was spotless.. host was exceptional. I had the nicest breakfast I ever tasted in Sheedys...it was absolutely delicious.
Lovely stay. Sheedys is a great hotel, big clean comfortable rooms and fab breakfast. Owners very helpful.
We had a vèry nice stay, the bedroom was very nice, clean, and spacious,we had a very tasty dinner( rack of lamb). The breakfast was delicious, I would recommend forget about the traditional Irish breakfast and go for one of the other choices, like fresh Hake,or scrambled egg and smoked salmon. The host Martina was very nice , and appeared to have very high standards for the hotel.
Martina is delightful and adds a wonderful personal touch to the stay. Food is amazingly fresh, locally sourced, and delicious! Wonderful care to every detail!
Very friendly hotel with lovely grounds in a cute town. But what really stood out was the fabulous restaurant - this really is a hidden (or at least slightly out of the way) gastronomic gem. Highly recommended!
My partner and I decided on a last-minute romantic getaway. We booked into the delightful Sheedy House hotel where I can only describe our experience as first class. The dining experience was excellent - flavoursome and interesting dishes. The service was outstanding and I would highly recommend this delightful country house to future guests. Amazing breakfast strong shower family run great place to stay
A very nice place with a great choice of breakfast. It's on the far end of the town, however it's no more than a 2 minute walk to the center.
A very lovely hotel with personal attention to our needs. An amazing breakfast. We will return.
Beautiful hotel. Lovely welcome. Very comfortable. Will definitely return. Highly recommended.
Hosts Martina & John were very welcoming.Dinner and breakfast superb, presentation and service excellent white clothes and silver shining will be back.Location ideal stay to short enjoyed
The hotel manager was the best, she was inviting and just a great person who cares about her guest. The breakfast was very nice and the stay was pleasant! We were very happy to have stayed at Sheedy's! You should try it!
The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent.
A fabulous small family run hotel that I simply cannot fault. Well done to Martina, her husband and staff - its a credit to you all. I will certainly be stopping by next time I am in Ireland.
We selected Sheedy's due to its close proximity to the Cliffs of Moher. Excellent location, less than 5 miles! The room was large, comfortable, CLEAN. The staff was extremely helpful regarding dinner reservations and directions. Breakfast was a wonderful affair, fresh, tasty and terrific way to start our day. Well done, we'd stay again!!
Stayed here as a stopover on the way to the Cliffs of Moher; it was so comfortable and charming. Every little detail was thought of - it was like staying in someone's home and the hostess thought of everything. It is located in a fairly small town but there are a few restaurants down the street and the inn also serves a very nice meal. The breakfast is wonderful. Would definitely recommend this inn.
We arrived quite late after driving all day. Martina was so lovely and gracious. Our room was huge and gorgeous. We hadn't eaten since the morning and Martina suggested a place to eat two doors down, which was perfect. The next morning we had the absolute LARGEST breakfast we'd ever been offered! Absolutely loved this place and wish we had stayed longer! Make sure to bring cash, as there are no ATMs within a half hour of the town...learned THAT the hard way.
We had a wonderful time. The staff is great and the food was delicious
Every stay has been a pleasant surprise and exciting to second guess the next stay.
Martina is lovely, very welcoming and helpful when it came to advice on places to go. Food was excellent... both evening meal and delicious breakfasts, largely locally sourced. Room was large, shower hot and strong, well kept. Nice to stroll into the village in the evening and sample some lovely and lively local pubs with music. Highly recommend.
This place was fantastic. You had the amenities of a hotel with the comfort/welcoming feel of a B and B. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The food in the hotel was very good. It had a very cozy lobby with a wood stove, a separate library/den area, and a small bar area. The absolute best part was the room itself. The room, bathroom, and living space was huge. It had great amenities we didn't see anywhere else in Ireland including: towel warmer, separate tub and shower, double sinks, large screen TV, etc. The location is near to the Cliffs of Moher and beaches but the town is pretty small. It had a handful of restaurants, some of which the kitche was already closed, one that had been filled by buses so we couldn't get in, and another which only took cash. This was a bit of a problem because there is no ATM in the town so be prepared.
Martina was so welcoming, and the food was unbelievably delicious, elegantly presented and served. John is an amazing chef! I wish we were staying longer.
The service, facilities and food was of the highest quality and standard. Martina was an absolutely perfect hostes- providing professional old school charm and service with a smile! We had a cosy dinner in the bar by the fire and candle light and everything was perfect! All of the food was homemade and local sourced and amazing. It will be a memorable time of our trip for years to come- We wish we lived nearer- so we could stay again!
This hotel was a bright stop on our trip. It is located within a nice town with lots of restaurants and night spots to visit. The hotel owners were extremely pleasing and helpful, and the breakfast was truly excellent! Would definitely stay again.
