Staff members are all fantastic. Friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be to invest in some new fans. Ours was truly rubbish and obviously very old. Other than that it was great... A beautiful romantic room. In great location.. x

The room was beautiful and only wished we were able to stay for longer to appreciate it. The staff were very nice and couldn't do more for us.

This is my preferred place to stay in Bedford when it is available. The staff are nice, very helpful and try to be as accommodating as possible. Facilities, decor and food always spot on.

I don't usually have anything to complain about with this property but on this occasion I was quite disappointed with the level of cleanliness in the room. Though the bed was made and the room looked tidy, there was dust on every surface in the bedroom and cobwebs in the windows as though it had not been cleaned for days. I had to clean it myself as I needed to be in the room for work. As it was during the heat wave, the fan that was left in the room was also full of dust and I had to ask the staff to clean it. For someone suffering with asthma/allergies to dust, this would be a problem. Just quite disappointing for a facility with usually high standards.

The room was comfortable and really nicely presented, with a river view, although this wasn't particularly important to us. We especially loved the freestanding bath and the complimentary toiletries bag, which were thoughtful touches. We didn't have breakfast, but we did have dinner in the restaurant, and the food was excellent.

Our only criticism is that the room felt expensive for what was offered. We booked because there were very few alternatives available at the time, and while the room was enjoyable, it didn't quite justify the price. The décor and furnishings are beginning to look a little tired in places, and a refresh would help bring it in line with the premium rate being charged.

Expensive cost of the room. No air conditioning but fans provided The blinds on the windows in the room let light in. Had to ask for more towels as only one in room. No plug for hairdryer next to mirror on the wardrobe.

Loved the room but would book again as they don’t take breakfast seriously! Breakfast from 8am but chef doesn’t arrive until then so takes 20 minutes for everything to warm up- no good when you’re on a working day.

The location was fabulous. The rooms had a nice ambience and the bar below was really friendly and zoned into different spaces. The room itself had excellent air conditioning and the bath was lovely. The discount for breakfast was a bonus and it was absolutely delicious!

The carpets were quite stained in places - they weren’t dirty but the staining (maybe bleach) made it seem like it wasn’t clean. Clearer instructions when booking about how and where to check in would be beneficial.

Cons: Main reason we booked was for the in-room bathtub - incredibly disappointing to find that the plug didn’t fully seal and so the bath continuously slowly drained whilst using it. Mentioned this to staff member when checking out and didn’t even receive an apology. Could’ve at least offered us a coffee on the house or something. Check in - had to wait ages at the bar while they served drinks to get checked in. Would be a good idea to have a part of the bar reserved for check in customers. Hallway leading to room was unbearably hot and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

Lovely inviting space, with furniture asking you to sink in and spend a while.

Didn’t have a beach outside, but the river was a close second.

Everything was practically perfect.

The ONLY issue was that even though we were the only guests staying there that night there was no hot water in the morning once the kitchen opened.

Staff were super nice!!! Bath was 10/10, two people could fit! Bed omg the bed!!!!! Comfiest bed ever, I am a frequent traveller and this was the comfiest bed of my entire life! Gorgeous rooms. Honestly we weren’t really a fan of Bedford but this hotel is worth coming just for the room, we will be back 100% just for the bed!!!!

Stunning property, stayed on our wedding night and was absolutely perfect. Super comfy beds with a bath looking out to Bedford river.

When we stayed previously breakfast was included, this time only a 15% discount included. Mood lighting in the room is not great for doing makeup/shaving once the sun has gone. Didn't realise there were black out blinds so the sunlight from the sky light woke us up earlier than we wanted!

Stuff lovely but in a room a lot of dust and two massive spiders. In general place is on great location and atmosphere is really nice. Only improvement I can say it needs is that rooms need to be cleaner.

It was beautifully clean and lovely decor. Great feeling in the place and the atmosphere in the bar and restaurant was fab. The room was clean with such a lovely comfortable bed. Food was easily available from the bar and very very nice!

Nothing bad about the property at all. There is no parking which I hadn’t even checked so that was my problem. But multi story parking is a 2 minute walk.

The location sits beside the river Ouse. Beautiful location. Restaurants, shops, mall, all nearby. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping was immaculate and checked in with me daily to see if I needed anything. The restaurant was fabulous, outside seating and reasonably priced. I made this home for two weeks while I visited from Seattle. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed and I will definitely return here when I come back again. Highly recommended!

Our third stay, a different room again. Lovely rooms with eclectic decor. The bed was huge & comfortable. Bathroom had large shower and all amenities needed. The added bonus is the roll top bath in the room, my partner lived being able to watch TV while soaking! All the staff at Albero are helpful & friendly which is part of the reason we keep coming back!

Recently stayed in a deluxe room with a view of the river. The room was amazing and the bed was really comfy.

I love to stay at Albero. My preferred location in Bedford. Our stay was perfect as usual! Perfect property, perfect riverside location, wonderful staff, prompt communication and so accomodating! Nothing was too much. We didn't eat because of our schedule, but the food is always great! Thank you so much, Albero!

The room was beautiful as was the view from it. The bathroom is spectacular, large bath a separate shower and double sinks. The decoration went well together and it has such an authentic feel to the room. The rooms are large with high ceilings and in the day it was very bright. The pricing for the night I stayed was competitive with local hotels but much more worth the experience than a clinical hotel. I am glad I chose to stay there The staff were all lovely, polite, and helpful, and breakfast was great. The whole place was clean and airy and just a delightful place to stay. I would most definitely stay again and recommend anyone staying in Bedford to experience it at least once.

As someone with poor vision, I didn't particularly favour the lighting, very moody, dull, and yellow, but this is very complimentary to the aesthetic of the room. I just struggled at night doing makeup and feeling comfortable. The portraits above the bed and in the bathroom scared me lol! Goes well with the room but I am superstitious and just felt on edge about eyes on me lol. Hardly real gripes but just my experience, I still absolutely enjoyed my stay.

The room and view facilities were fantastic. The bar and restaurant downstairs were busy, but the accommodation upstairs was quiet. The Polish lad (I think) who works there was really friendly, helpful, and quirky. The only two slight issues were that the parking was a bit of a trip but not a deal breaker (£10 per p/night) and that there was a group staying in the room next door who must have been chain-smoking as it stank out the corridor, etc. Other than that, the stay was top class and I will stay there again when visiting Bedford.

Old world charm and space was awesome. The view is the best in Bedford, also really good food options in the pub downstairs
