Hotel Gahn Khao Lak

We thought the hotel was beautiful and very well presented. The finishings and furniture were the highlight of our stay and they must be complimented for this. The pool was very nice, and the staff were very helpful and attentive. There was a small carpark to the right of the hotel which was convenient. The location was very good and close to may shops and restaurants.

We did not like the size of the rooms. They were very small with too much furniture in them. The beds were big but they were honestly too big for the room size so you had little space to move around. The rooms were quite dark and depressing and we were looking forward to moving hotels. Its okay for one night but not more than that. We were upset on our first day because we expected a buffet breakfast as shown in the photos, but the staff said no buffet and that we can only order from the menu. The menu only had five items on it, all of which I didn't like. On the following day there was a buffet with a limited selections of foods, so I had toast and coffee and that's it.

The staff were very nice! The location is amazing!! Beautiful design of a boutique hotel, everything is clean, very good shower. We took the room without a window and it was a bit hard but I guess it was our fault. Other than that, it was perfect, very recommended ❤️

Das Hotel ist fantastisch in thailändischem Still. Zwar an der Hauptstraße ,was uns nicht gestört hat. Das Zimmer ist nicht sehr groß,aber mit einem sehr bequemen Bett und sehr sauber.

Das Frühstück könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein

Die Mitarbeiterinnen in der Lobby sind wirklich super lieb!

Das Frühstück ist auf die Zeit doch recht eintönig. Und ein bisschen Englisch könnte das Personal vom Frühstück auch sprechen.

Ich habe ein Zimmer ohne Fenster gebucht und hätte nicht gedacht, dass es so dunkel ist.

- Zimmer groß - kleiner, aber schöner Pool

- Dame aus der Küche sehr unhöflich, guckt genervt und judged mit Blicken - Personal allgemein eher genervt (außer der Mann vom Frühstück und die Rezeptionistin) - Von 4 Tagen hatten wir 2 Tage Baulärm ab 8:15 Uhr - Babybett eher Hundekorb. Zum Spielen ganz süß, zum separat schlafen nicht geeignet

Nous avons passé un super séjour ! L’hôtel est magnifique, avec une décoration très soignée et beaucoup de charme, typiquement asiatique avec mélange de bois et de matières naturelles. La chambre était spacieuse, très propre et le lit confortable. Le personnel est très souriant, accueillant et disponible. L’emplacement est un peu loin de la plage (minimum 15/20mn à pied) mais proche des restaurants et du night market. Mention spéciale pour le restaurant de l’hôtel, la cuisine y est excellente.

Das Hotel war für ein 3 Sterne-Hotel völlig in Ordnung! Wir waren 2 Nächte auf der Durchreise und haben einmal im Hotel gegessen. Das Hotel war schön, authentisch eingerichtet. Das Bett war bequem, die Zimmergröße ausreichend und auch das Frühstück war völlig in Ordnung. Das Personal war sehr sehr nett! Man läuft ca 10 Minuten bis zum Strand und findet auf dem Weg ausreichend Bars, Restaurants etc.

Das Restaurant im Hotel wurde sehr gelobt; es hat uns allerdings nicht so gu gefallen. Die Auswahl an Gerichten war sehr klein und leider gab es keinen Weisswein mehr. Uns wurde dann Rotwein angeboten allerdings war von diesem auch nur noch ein Glas da. Das war leider etwas schwach. Die Lage des Hotels ist an einer stark befahrenen Strasse, der Ausblick vom Balkon war auch nicht wirklich schön.

Le style de l’hôtel et la décoration . L’hôtel se situe à 20 minutes à pied de la mer ( en marchant d’un bon pas) et à 10 minutes du marché. La rue principale avec les boutiques est assez proche. La piscine est sympa ; le personnel aimable.

Le bruit de la route. L’hôtel est situé au bord d’un axe de 3 voies qui circule fort mais à vrai dire le bruit ne nous a pas gêné plus que ça.

Petit havre de paix situé au centre de Khao Lak près de Bang niang road L'endroit est parfait pour se relaxer, ambiance ZEN Le personnel est extrêmement souriant et gentil ! Petit piscine pour se raffraîchir Déco très originale avec du caractère, nourriture excellente Je recommande pour un séjour de plusieurs jours a Khao Lak !

L’hôtel est très bien placé si vous voulez être dans le centre, ce que nous avons adoré. Cependant l’hôtel est situé sur la grande route donc beaucoup de bruit toute la nuit… compliqué si vous avez le sommeil léger. La chambre était très confortable, il n’y avait pas de fenêtre mais cela ne nous a pas déranger. Le personnel était adorable.

The decor was very traditional and the room was huge with a lovely bath and walk in shower with seat. Bed was also super King and comfortable. Although the pool and pool are were small there was never anybody there so a couple of times we had pool days due to jet lag. Staff couldn’t do enough for you.

Service, vooral tijdens ontbijt moet beter. Eten niet bijgevuld een uur voor einde ontbijt, geen koffie gebracht, gekookt ei nauwelijks gekookt (max 1 minuut)

Cet hôtel était magnifique : la décoration d'inspiration chinoise, les matières utilisés dans tout l'hôtel et l'agencement !! Le petit-déjeuner était vraiment bon. L'hôtel est à proximité de plusieurs commerces et restaurants. Il est très facile de se déplacer à pied.

Malgré sa beauté, la chambre aveugle est très problématique. Il n'y a AUCUNE fenêtre dans les chambres deluxe. On a donc l'impression d'être dans un bunker. C'est très étrange.

Das Hotel liegt an einer Straße, ist aber dennoch gut gelegen, weil Märkte und Strände schnell zu erreichen sind (hatten Mietwagen)

Das Personal ist super freundlich. Ich habe sehr gut geschlafen. Ich wusste, dass die Lage des Hotels nicht optimal ist aber ich habe mir ein Auto gemietet.

This hotel is amazing. Honestly the atmosphere, architecture and very thoughtful staff made us enjoy our stay. We put do not disturb because our room was clean, but they were still so thoughtful and left toilet paper & water in front of our door. Thank you for everything!

Хорошее местоположение. Нам требовалось провести 2 ночи до отправки на дайв сафари. Рядом магазины, до ресторанов пешком близко.

Считаю что цена завышена. Но надо понимать, что концерунция там маленькая. Поэтому даже при высокой цене я выбрал этот отель.

Great taste level and big comfortable beds. 20 min walk to the beach, 10 min walk to the night market, and right on the main street making it easy for car pick ups. Excellent restaurant in house. Conveniences close by like 711, taxis, laundry.

Das Hotel hat ein perfektes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Service super freundlich und nett. Bester Kaffee der ganzen Reise! Wenn mann nicht lärmempfindlich ist durchaus zu empfehlen. Aber immer ein Zimmer auf die Seite der Felder nehmen. Zimmer sind sehr gut, Betten und Bettwäsche hervorragend. Es ist trotzdem nicht ruhig. Für den Strandbesuch muss immer ein Taxi genommen werden. Es ist viel zu weit zum Laufen. Das Essen ist super gut und der Service unglaublich nett. Der große Markt ist fußläufig zu erreichen und abends sind gefühlte hunderte Restaurants und Bars zur Auswahl.

Die Lage ist trotz dieser guten Unterkunft eine Herausforderung was den Lärm betrifft. Weit weg vom Strand. Pool zwar gute Temperatur aber müsste besser gereinigt werden - Gartenmöbel sind zum tauschen!

Das Hotel eine gute Lage. Das Personal war freundlich und es war alles sauber.

Die Holztreppe ist recht laut wenn man in der Nähe davon schläft und diese nachts benutzt wird. Und wir haben extrem viele Mücken in unserem Zimmer, da diese immer beim öffnen der Türe reinkamen.

Ein kleines, aussergewöhnliches Hotel in zentraler Lage mit wirklich sehr gutem Essen - unbedingt ausprobieren! Das Personal war sehr bemüht und immer sehr nett.

Um eine kleine Anmerkung zu machen, die Mülleimer im Zimmer könnten etwas größer sein😉 ansonsten war alles top!

The location was perfect for our needs. We rented a car, and convenient parking was available right outside. The area was quiet without feeling remote, and a supermarket was within easy walking distance. The building and décor were very tasteful and thoughtfully designed, with well-planned room layouts. The bed was huge, exceptionally comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Thoughtful touches in the room—such as the veils on the bed posts and ornately painted ceramic wall ornaments and wash basin—added a special sense of charm. The coffee was excellent as well.

Breakfast was tasty, but it lacked variety in fresh fruits and vegetables from day to day. By the second day, we found it was more effective to direct our requests to the female staff members who demonstrated stronger customer service and better follow-up. On our first day, we asked to borrow an iron—something we expected the property to have available on site. We were not expecting one in every room, but access to a shared iron would have been appreciated. As this wasn’t available, we ended up taking a 10-minute walk to a nearby shop, where a lovely lady ironed our clothes for 200 baht.

Beautifully designed ! Attention to detail. Helpful staff !! Food ( dinner) amazing Nice rooms ... however my room had no window.....no matter how beautiful it was decorated .. it's a NO NO Had I had a balcony I would rate it a 5... now I rate it a generous 3.

No window in a room is unacceptable... and frankly.. not safe. It's OK for a night... NOT OK for 9 days... I left before.,, as I could not stand it anymore.. Money wasted... Doors are not well isolated so it's somewhat noisy... The airport has a led light so bright.... you have to shut it down... otherwise you won't sleep! ..not ideal when you have no window.

Wish it was a bit closer to beach but not too much of a problem

We stayed there 5 nights during our stay in Khao Lak. Hôtel Gahn is a hidden gem, aside from the convenient location - walking distance to everything (market, muy Thai fight stadium, beaches, supermarket, 7/11, restaurants, laundry, pharmacy), the included breakfast was great; they make barista coffee and great omelettes. But the biggest highlight is the staff and excellent customer service. They were very attentive, kind and helpful. The rooms are well furnished, beds super comfy and the pool is just perfect to relax and chill with a drink after a big day before going out for dinner. We highly recommend this place! Thanks for everything Hotel Gahn !

Nothing - we would come back in a heartbeat!

Struttura esternamente non al pari dell’interno , tuttavia all’interno una struttura chiaramente progettata e seguita da un architetto molto preparato. La nostra camera eccellente è ben organizzata.

Location was excellent. The beach was about 15 minutes walk, lots of good places to eat near the hotel. Lovely breakfast each morning. Bed was comfortable and had lots of pillows

Superior Room? Only if you’re a bat If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to sleep in a windowless bunker, look no further than the so-called “superior room” at this hotel. Yes, superior — apparently in the sense that it’s superior at trapping moisture. With zero fresh air, the place is basically a dark storage unit where your towels and swimwear remain permanently damp, musty, and mildly tragic. Claustrophobia included free of charge. Honestly, this room could just as well have been located in the basement — and for all I know, maybe it was. The staff certainly didn’t see a problem; they assured us this is “normal” for a superior room. Funny how the website forgets to mention the whole no window situation. Minor detail, I guess. That Booking.com thinks this is acceptable accommodation is… bold. Very bold. To be fair, we knew the hotel was on a busy main road. And sure, the staff being glued to their phones and the neighbors dumping trash in the hallway might just be bad luck. But a room without a window? That’s not bad luck — that’s below every imaginable standard. Stay here if you enjoy darkness, stale air, and the general ambiance of a broom closet. Otherwise: run. Preferably to a place with actual oxygen.

Det var väldigt dålig luft i rummet och fönstret gick inte att öppna. ACn gick i te att rikta utan blåste rakt ner i sängen.

Tolle Einrichtung. Super Restaurant mit fairen Preisen und lokalen Gerichten. Sehr persönliches kleines Hotel (Familienbesitz). Der Besitzer steht selbst in der Küche und kocht sehr gut. Guter Kaffee zum Frühstück (Siebträgermaschine).

Es liegt direkt an der stark befahrenen Hauptstraße. Dadurch ist auch nachts Verkehrslärm, was bei leichtem Schlaf störend sein kann.

Le personnel est d’une gentillesse, il fait tout pour nous arranger et nous aider. La chambre est décoré avec goût et la literie est super confortable, la salle de bain spacieuse. Enfin le petit déjeuner est incroyable !! Nous regrettons d’y être resté qu’une nuit !

La planta de abajo, el desayuno y la piscina están muy bien.

La habitación doble superior no tiene ventanas da la sensación de estar en un zulo todo el día de noche.

Beautifully decorated and perfectly kept. It was an oasis of peace and freshness as opposed to the outside. The staff was courteous and kind, always extremely helpful. The restaurant at dinner and breakfast was excellent.

Leider hatte unser Zimmer kein Fenste, obwohl auf dem Foto ein Fester zu sehen war. 1 Woche im dunkelns zu sein, ist nicht so angenehm. Ebanfalls war es sehr ringhörig und man hört jedes Gespräch im Nachbarzimmer und Flur. Am Pool gibt es leider kleine Liege- nur Sitzmöglichkeiten.
