La Flora Khao Lak

This is one of those places that I would definitely visit again. Check in was very efficient, but staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. The room was perfect. The view from the balcony was perfect. The aircon was perfect. Breakfast was great with incredible staff and a view of the beach. Life entertainment during dinner was great. And when I was not having dinner in the restaraunt, room service delivery was superfast. Ordering room service with the resort app was also great (and perfect for introverts ;-) ). Even though this was 'n large resort, it never felt crowded. (Full disclosure - I visited during the slightly more off-season period, late August, so some visitors might be discouraged by the rainy season.) Check out was easy and fast.

Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wunderbares Frühstück und sehr abwechslungsreich. Tolle Atmosphäre und Strandnah. Ausreichend Plätze, Personal, Liegen so das die Urlauber auch sehr entspannt waren. Bei uns war es ruhig und das Zimmer ist gut gelegen mit Blick aufs Meer. Sehr gesittet auf der Anlage mit angenehmen Urlaubern. Kinderclub wurde von unserem Sohn sehr viel genutzt was an den tollen Mitarbeiterinnen lag die sich rührend um die Kinder kümmern. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt, dass wir direkt mal 4 Tage verlängert haben:). Danke an das wunderbare La Flora Team.

התארחנו משפחה עם 3 ילדים קטנים ונהנו מאוד!

Das Familienzimmer (2 separate Zimmer verbunden mit einer Schiebetür) war zwar recht weit vom Pool, Meer und vom Frühstück entfernt, aber es war super schön, komfortabel und sauber. Wir haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr sauber und mit vielen Pools und Grünanlagen wunderschön angelegt. Der Hauptpool war super mit tollem Blick aufs Meer. Es gab immer genügend freie Liegen während unserem Aufenthalt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen und bot einen wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer. Der Bang Niang Markt ist fußläufig schnell erreichbar und auch an den anderen Abenden kann man etwas bummeln. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Uns hat alles gefallen. Einzig die Entfernung der Familienzimmer vom Hauptpool/Meer/Frühstück war etwas weit, um mal schnell etwas zu holen, aber auch kein Problem.

Het strand, het zwembad, de bedden en douche. Personeel van de schoonmaak en het ontbijt waren erg vriendelijk, bij de receptie waren ze best nors.

De geur op je kamer, wij waren er voor de 3de keer, maar nooit meer voor ons. Het rook naar schimmel op de gehele kamer, weet dat dit vorig jaar ook al een probleem was en we een melding hebben gemaakt. Dit jaar stonden er dus op iedere kamer een extra humifider, een ontvochtiger. Dit moesten wij 2x per dag zelf legen, zoveel vocht komt er uit de kamers. Heb zelf maar wat parfum gespoten steeds bij binnenkomst. Zijn er alle.3 gewoon verkouden van geraakt. We hebben 2 kamers gehuurd en als je dan 550 euro betaalt voor maar 3 nachtjes kan je beter kijken naar iets anders. Voor ons nooit meer!

Alles was perfect. De kamers waren schoon, ruim, mooi en goed onderhouden. De tuinen en zwembaden zijn prachtig. Het uitzicht op het strand ‘s morgens bij het ontbijt en vanuit zwembad op zee was geweldig. Fijne spa behandeling en leuke boksles gehad . Overal vriendelijk personeel. En het ontbijt was 1 van de beste die wij ooit hebben gehad.

Het enige puntje was de geur van het riool In de kamer ‘s nachts. En de sportschool mag wel een update. Dat is de reden voor een 9 en geen 10.

The pools are nice, you can see the ocean from the pool. It’s lovely. The staff are very friendly (most of them), we had a problem with an odor in our room and housekeeping took it very serious. They came back few times to check and also placed a dehumidifier in the room. Overall, we would not come back to khao lak, but if you go, La Flora is the best choice for the area.

There are parts of the hotel where the maintenance is lacking. It doesn’t look as polished as on the photos. Also, there are signs all around the hotel that any wrongdoing will be fined.. this was bit strange for me. It instantly creates an atmosphere of distrust which is not very relaxing. There are a lot of German tourists who don’t seem to have any interest in Thai culture or cuisine.

Good location. Close to town. Clean facilities.

Kid area needed attention. Not all water things were working. Need chairs and loungers for adults who are watching their children play. There was no seating near kid zone. A walk-in pool area for small children would be nice.

The resort staff are amazing, the main pool location overlooking the beach, the vicinity to the township of Bang Niang. Having proper espresso coffee with amazing Baristas (David and Tong) included at breakfast. The resort grounds were beautifully maintained and the water quality of the many pools was perfect and in balance.

Suzy at reception was wonderful, she was so kind to our children and helped us on our last day when our flight was delayed. We had a great stay, the kids loved kids club and the pool/room were lovely.

Das Frühstück war super, für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei. Es gab sogar Eis. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Direkte Strandlage, aber trotzdem unweit vom Ortszentrum mit dem Bang Niang Market, Restaurants, Wäsche-Services oder Massagemöglichkeiten.

Eigentlich war alles gut, aber wenn man am Infinitypool lag, kam gefühlt aller 2 Minuten ein Servicemitarbeiter vorbei und hat nach Wünschen (Drinks oder Food) gefragt. Dies war etwas nervig.

Good location, close to the beach and near the main restaurants. Older part of the hotel appears used and now part os not a lot better.

Gym could get a makeover as cardio machines are old and heavily used. It’s also very warm in there. Pool in the new part of the hotel was never cleaned during our stay. The hotel north of La Flora is the same brand but newer. (But can’t judge if better)

De faciliteiten waren top, kids hebben genoten. Ook de hotelkamer was van alle gemakken voorzien en schoon. Ontbijt was heel divers. Wel minder dan ons vorige verblijf in de zomervakantie in 2025.

Personeel rondom het restaurant tijdens ontbijt erg afstandelijk en minder klantvriendelijk dan we normaal gewend zijn in Thailand.

This resort allows guests to smoke on balconies. We would not have stayed here if this was known prior to booking.

Locatie is super en ontbijt is erg goed. Zwembad is goed en ligt direct aan het privé strand. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Prijs kwaliteit is prima

Het schoonmaken van kamer en badkamer viel tegen. Even super snel een bezem er door, water aanvullen schone handdoeken en bed opmaken. In de 9 nachten niet 1 keer schoon beddengoed gehad.

Ich war bereits zum zweiten mal im La Flora. Die Lage ist top und könnte nicht besser sein. Das Bett war sehr groß und bequem. Zimmer ebenfalls ausreichend groß. Frühstücksbuffet inkl. Barista war hervorragend.

Das Cleaning könnte tatsächlich bisschen besser sein. Sowohl im Zimmer als auch im Pool (sehr viel Dreck am Boden über mehrere Tage). Das Gym ist leider ein Witz! Klein, schlechte AC und super alte Geräte. Da braucht es dringend eine Sanierung.

Omgivelserne fremstod pæne og indbydende, f.eks. de pool “kanaler” der er ud for hver bygning og de små broer og beplantningen giver samlet en god stemning.

Det var alt for stort, vi boede i den bagerste bygning og havde ca.500 meter til morgenmads restaurant og stranden. Der var larmende, både fra gaden, fra gæsterne i de små pools ved bygningen og ekstremt lydt i værelset. Vi kunne høre når naboerne snakkede, badede, gik på toilettet og satte stik i kontakten! Det er tydeligt en penge maskine, de tog overpriser på alt, og man skulle sågar betale for ekstra toiletpapir! Vi valgte at rejse 2 dage før tid, og da vi tjekkede ud spurgte de ikke ind til hvorfor vi rejste, bare at vi ikke ville få nogen refundering for de to dage. Da vi oplyste dem at vi ikke kunne lide at være der, spurgte de ikke ind til hvorfor eller beklagede vi havde haft en dårlig oplevelse.

הייתה לנו חוויה מאכזבת במלון. האוכל לא היה טוב במיוחד ולא עמד בציפיות שלנו. כשהגענו לראשונה, היה ריח מאוד לא נעים בחדר. היינו צריכים לבקש כמה פעמים עד שבסוף העבירו אותנו לחדר אחר. בהמשך, כרטיס החדר הפסיק לעבוד, ונשארנו תקועים מחוץ לחדר בערך 20 דקות בחום, מה שהיה מאוד מתסכל. מצד שני, המזגן עבד מצוין, המיטה הייתה מאוד נוחה וגדולה, והחדר עצמו היה מרווח. בסך הכול, החוויה לא הייתה טובה ויש בהחלט מקום לשיפור

ממש בקטנה אבל המלון ממש גדול, מרחק הליכה בין מקום למקום צריך לקחת את זה בחשבון. למרות שיש את הגולף קארט שלוקח ומחזיר אז זה עוזר. ובחדר שלנו (חדר משפחה) היה ריח של טחב.

When we first checked in it would have been nice to be meeted and greeted with a smile, a young girl had taken our booking referance and she seemed very grumpy for a 4.5 -5 star hotel, the other staff were excellent

Amazing breakfast, lovely spa, beautiful beach and pool area. Great facilities and environs.

Very expensive in comparison to other hotels. Given the expense, it was ridiculous that we were asked for a 200 TBT deposit for a second key, given 4 bottles of drinking water but signage advising charge for drinking more than 2, charge if makeup was on the towels, etc. This seems very unnecessary and petty given the expense of the rooms. I have never seen this anywhere else in Thailand. Why not just provide makeup wipes?

Inte prisvärt. Av alla boenden vi hade i Khao Lak var detta både det dyraste och det sämsta. Rummet var visserligen fräscht, men låg långt från stranden – cirka 400 meter bort i en fristående byggnad som mer liknade en barack än ett hotellboende. Det påverkade helhetsupplevelsen negativt. Dessutom fungerade inte AC:n i barnrummet, något vi inte informerades om vid ankomst. Personalen i receptionen var tyvärr mycket ohjälpsam. När vi frågade när problemet skulle åtgärdas fick vi ett vagt svar om att det skulle ske “om några dagar”, utan någon som helst förståelse för att vi valt hotellet just för barnrummet. Tre dagar senare fick vi besked om att rummet var öppet igen, men då hade ingenting åtgärdats – AC:n var fortfarande trasig och rummet var outhärdligt varmt. Om man har tur och slipper problem, inte behöver ha kontakt med receptionen och får ett rum närmare stranden, kan vistelsen säkert vara trevlig. För vår del blir det dock både första och sista besöket.

Great choice for all tastes and right in front of the beach. Always plenty of space so could sit by the pool or overlooking the sea or indoors if preferred. Egg station was good but not the fried eggs as mostly cold or under cooked.

Please change you butter supplier.....so difficult to open :) Also on most days some of the food was cold such as the beans, bacon and fried eggs, they need to be topped up more often and quite a lot of people were leaving them on their plates so a shame to waste food.

Location was beautiful. Sunsets amazing from beach restaurant. Food was fantastic and staff were always ready to help with a smile.

It is a very nice hotel. Clean nice rooms, helpful and friendly staff. The hotel has a very nice breakfast buffe with the restaurant by the beach. Close walking distance to marker and shops.

Beautiful location on the beach. Staff were excellent, rooms immaculate and nothing was any trouble, everyone was extremely helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent and a great selection of food on offer. Entertainment provided especially Joy & Coco was fabulous. The Room we had was set back so not too noisy but close enough to join in . The hotel was excellent value for money and would highly recommend it for a stay in Khoa lak and just five minutes walk into the hub. Also we did a trip with the hotel which was exceptionally organised .Thanks for an amazing holiday, we will come back . Trainee called AE , think arron, he was so helpful when checking in and out. Five stars to him.

Great hotel with a lovely restaurant right on the beach. The swim up room and bars were perfect. The staff are all really friendly and are eager to make your stay more comfortable. The area is also nice and the locals are really friendly too. It’s very family friendly and safe. The con to this pleasant stay was that they took our all inclusive off us on the last day even though we didn’t check out until 3 they claimed it was per night. The room service isn’t included either or the mini bar. The swim up bar was not manned a lot of times also, meaning we could always get drinks when we wanted to. So the all inclusive isn’t really what’s advertised.

Stop number 4 on our Trailfinders tour of Thailand! 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭 Loved the room (9134)- big comfy bed, great shower & fridge with freezer. On arrival my wife picked up a slight musty smell which got worse with the aircon on- not unbearable but definitely noticeable even to myself with a bad sense of smell. Having had no issues with plugs and power points (even in the jungle at Elephant Hills) the only double prong working socket was the one by the fridge. The mosquito diffuser plug point would not fit in any socket. TV was great with a good choice of programmes & housekeeping did excellent makeover every day. Small but good sized balcony with early morning sunshine ideal for drying swimming costumes etc. We had breakfast every day and ate out in the evening (Loma & Thai Basil very good plus Lan La Bar for drinks) Excellent breakfast selection especially the sushi which I loved. Occasional irritation when at breakfast from small flies but it's all open plan so to be expected. Pool and beach front sun loungers were great and you can reserve for an hour with your hotel towel. All the staff were very polite and helpful especially Chom who made contact with our next hotel as we had no advance notice of pick up time. Really enjoyed our stay here especially the local area and Bang Niang Market but the slight smell (would have requested room change if there longer than 3 days) and plug sockets stopped me giving it 5 stars (4.5!!) Thank you

Everything is great. This is the best hotel on Khao Lak. Excellent cuisine, the best staff. The hotel is right on the seashore.

We had an unplanned extended stay but there are definitely worse places to be stranded! We had a first floor poolside room which was lovely and spacious and well laid out with a huge comfy bed. Grounds were beautifully maintained and the beach was beautiful. The sunbeds were a little close together but it wasn't problematic for us. Pool area and infinity pool were absolutely stunning. We usually do adults only and were a bit concerned about previous comments about lots of children, but it was absolutely fine. We ate there a couple of times, including the lobster buffet and fire show and weren't disappointed. It's a bit more pricey than going out, but you'd expect that. Staff were all lovely, but particular mention to Meow at the beach restaurant, June who looked after our room, and Suzy and Palm on reception, who were great with our ongoing room extensions. We'd definitely return.

We had a pleasant stay. The staff was really nice and friendly, always welcoming us with a smile. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and contain a large variety of options. Unfortunately the kids pool area was closed due to maintenance for several days in a row and there was no aircondition in the inside kids playground area.

La Flora is ideally situated right on the beach, it has an excellent infinity pool that wraps around the property and encompasses the submersed pool bar There is a floating pier for ease of access to the boats and catamarans for the various cruises and day trips offered The staff are very friendly and attentive no tasks is to large or to small for them. On site restaurant provides good quality food with a wide variety of dishes to suite all Tastes and cultures. The hotel is conveniently close to the shops and local restaurants and cafes to taste the delights of Thailand Including an excellent coffee shop shop off premise that belongs to hotel We took advantage of the 3 day wellness programs offers at the La Vita Sana again staff where thoroughly professional, friendly and experienced in individuals needs Note this is included in certain packages offered by the hotel. We fully recommend this property

The hotel La Flora was very nice

From the time of arrival the staff running La Flora were always there to help. Our room was comfortable with all the extras you would expect, the location is exceptional with sandy beach and warm sea, plenty of room in the pools that are right around the complex, food was good, plenty of sun beds, all in all a great place to stay, we had a week in Singapore and a week here, which was a nice balance, can recommend, also family friendly...

We had a great stay at La Flora Resort in Khao Lak and can definitely recommend it. What really stood out was the exceptional service. Every single staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. It created a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere throughout our stay. We stayed in a Deluxe Double Room with breakfast, which was a good choice. The breakfast was varied and of good quality, offering everything you need for a nice start into the day. There was a small issue with a dripping air conditioner in our initial room, but it was handled perfectly. The staff reacted immediately and moved us to a new room without any hassle. This level of service really impressed us. Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service and a great vibe. We would happily return.

We stayed at La Flora for 6 nights in Feb 2026 and had a wonderful time. On arrival we were upgraded to a Seaview room on top floor. The room had two large beds pushed together, as well as a window seat/bed which my daughter loved. The room was clean, with fresh bottled water provided daily. We were on top floor and it felt nice and quiet during the night, with no noise disruptions, except for the few thunderstorms 😅 The hotel is located on a beautiful beach with plenty of sun loungers both bu the pool and near the beach. The pools were lovely, with shallow areas and jacuzzi seats in each. The hotel is only a short walk from Amy restaurants, shops and a large market. We enjoyed going out every night and experiencing the hustle and bustle, which was never too much and very family friendly. During our stay, the hotel put on a evening event to celebrate Chinese New Year - it was fabulous, both the food and the entertainment, we all really enjoyed the fires how and the visit from the dragons. We ate at the restaurant a few times and the food was lovely. Iced latte was fantastic and a daily treat for me. If you like freshly BBQed sweetcorn, there is a little stand just behind the restaurant cooking all day, each sweet corn is just 50 baht and was delicious. We chose this hotel based on the reviews on TripAdvisor and we're really pleased with the choice. This was our first stop on multimeter holiday and later into the trip we met other couples who stayed at La Flora and they shared our opinion that this is a fabulous hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel was very relaxed and perfect for enjoying the wonderful weather. I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend to friends and family travelling to the area.

Just returned from 2 weeks at La Flora. We stayed in block E and the room was excellent with a huge comfortable bed,a good shower and balcony and a great addition was a large fridge with a freezer compartment. There was 1 health and safety issue as the sliding door to the bathroom covered draws and the area where the kettle was and could easily be opened when someone was making coffee. The hotel is situated on a nice sandy beach and very near many good restaurants, shops and the market. Breakfast was good but eggs were fairly cold unless you asked for 1 to be cooked in front of you and impossible to cut bacon with a knife. Main problem, as many people have said is sunbeds are very close together and frontage at beach not large enough for number of guests and little room for further sunbeds around the grounds. People were also putting towels on sunbeds at 6.30. As with all hotels prices for food and drinks is 2 to 3 times more expensive than local restaurants which I never understand as many more people would eat and drink at the hotel if prices were reduced. I would recommend a visit to Coconut beach and the bamboo rafting trip.

Lovely place! A few things didn't work that we expected working, but the hotel have high quality in general.

La Flora is a great hotel with a good location in Khao Lak. There is direct access to the beach, where there are sun beds. Sometimes hard to get a bed but mostly succesfull. The hotel has also many good pool areas. The hotel is located in a quiet area and there is a good atmosphere. The staff are friendly and service minded. The area is kept nicely clean and the rooms have a fine standard with daily cleaning. We enjoyed our stay. La Flora is definitely recommended.

We had a perfect stay here in La Flora. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The rooms are nice, cleaned daily. We stayed in a swim up, which is super relaxed no stress with your own sun beds and fresh towels every morning before you even wake up. Due to the situation in the Middle East we had to cancel our trip to Dubai, but with help of the hotel staff we could extend our stay in La Flora and were even offered a nice discount, allowing us the complete our holiday in a perfect place 😍👍🏻

Lovely place clam and quiet place (great for relaxing), good variety at breakfast. Great beach service. Great location beach is paradise. Local for short walk to seven11 and bars and reataurants. We had a great time at La Flora Khao Lak. We had a swim up room, so we could jump in de pool any time we wanted. Clean up rooms every day, new towels, fresh water bottles etc. The staff at La Flora are all very friendly and they helped us enormously with extending our stay here due to the war in the Middle East , because of our flight cancellations. We are very grateful for that🙏

- sehr gutes Frühstück mit einer sehr großen Auswahl - sehr, sehr nettes Personal - gute Lage mit nur wenigen Gehminuten zu einer großen und guten Auswahl an Restaurants, Massagesalons & Schneider - eine richtig tolle, vom Hotel angebotene Radtour ... ich war an dem Tag die einzige Teilnehmerin und hatte eine wundervolle Tour mit dem Guide Golf. Danke nochmals! - toller Zimmerservice: wir haben uns während eines starken Gewitters Essen auf's Zimmer bringen lassen = top und mega lecker - sehr schöne Poolanlage, die wir aber aufgrund der Mücken (dafür kann das Hotel nichts) leider nur 1x genutzt haben

- in unserem Urlaub wurde es ca. 6:25 Uhr hell und bereits gg. 6:30 Uhr waren mehr als die Hälfte der Liegen an Strand & Pool mit Handtüchern "reserviert" und das Hotel hat leider nichts gegen diese touristische Unart unternommen - wir haben Strand & Pool aus diesem Grund nicht genutzt und sind lieber mit dem Tuk Tuk an den ca. 10 Minuten entfernten Coconut Beach bzw. White Sand Beach gefahren ... leider sehr viel entspannter, als im Hotel - es werden diverse Dienste über eine hoteleigene App angeboten: ich hatte den Zimmerservice und eine sportliche Aktivität gebucht. Ich weiß nicht, wie diese App gewartet wird - leider funktionierte diese Art der Buchungen nicht. Die Dienste erhielt ich nur nach nochmaliger Kontaktaufnahme mit der Lobby. Also am Besten und Einfachsten gleich über die Lobby buchen, dann funktioniert alles einwandfrei ;-)

Fabulous hotel had been given an upgrade when we arrived room was huge 2 separate bedrooms on suite,very clean and beds lovely, hotel right on beach, drinks and food service provided on the beach, prices were cheap.great location plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Staff very friendly and helpful.Woukd stay here again

Very well located hotel on the bang Niang area. Lots of restaurants, money exchange, taverns, and night market close by within walking distance. Very nice pool area and a must have breakfast buffet.

A beachfront property with selection of different room types based around many mini freeform pools meandering through the estate. Rooms from ground floor with direct access to pools to superior rooms in blocks tto the rear and quieter area of the estate. Broad choice of breakfast with sufficient menu for lunch and dinner. Prices fair and not over priced and of good quality. Pool towels free, although there is no FREE water stations around the pools which would have been nice to be able to keep hydrated. Poolside and beach bars. Some daytime activities and also kids pools. Evening entertainment on some nights of the week. Check- in very good and room standards good but with some minor decor issues. Some rooms require you to place toilet tissue in bins and not down the toilet. A good choice for both families and couples.

Wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer in der 1. Etage, das Frühstück und das Dinner waren hervorragend. Der Service war perfekt. Das Hotel hat eine perfekte Lage.

Das WLAN ist permanent überfordert.

We had a two week stay at La Flora in January 2026. We had booked a swim up room but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived (after an extremely stressful journey, our transfer taxi leaving us in the lurch and our baggage being lost!). We had been upgraded to a larger well situated seaside pool access room. Check in was swift and painless and we were soon being shown around the facilities in our room. The room was really spacious and clean and bright - room 8213. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable however the pillows - way too hard for us. We did ask the housekeeping staff later if there were alternative pillows but were told there wasn't any. Maybe this is something they could improve on by offering a pillow choice. There was plenty of hanging and storage space and a security safe as you enter the room. The bathroom area was spacious with plenty of space for toiletries etc. Again it was nice and clean and had two sinks, hairdryer, soaps etc. Because our luggage had been lost we had no toiletries and were in dire need of a shower. Thankfully there were vanity kits in the room so we were able to freshen up and clean our teeth at least. The shower was amazing! The housekeeping team were excellent however on several days they didn't clean our room until well after 4pm despite having put the 'make up room' sign on as soon as we had left our room for the day. Our favourite part of the bathroom - the smart toilet. I want one of these at home now! I'll leave that one there...… The TV and internet in our room never worked properly the whole time we were there. I know you don't go on holiday to watch TV but when I did want to - it was unwatchable. The internet kept dropping out too and 'engineer' came out twice but it made no difference. The patio space outside the room could do with a bit of TLC. There were a couple of broken decking boards and sadly one of our inflatables got punctured by a protruding screw however more concerning was the potential to cause harm. You just had to be mindful that they were there. The sunbeds had also seen better days and could do with being replaced. The patio area did not get any sunshine on it in the mornings but as the sun came round it was bathed in it all afternoon and was a welcome retreat from the screaming children in the main pool area..... The main pool and sunbed area - well I can only liken them to a cheap hotel in Spain. Rows and rows of sunbeds all crammed together with hardly any space between them. Not great if you wanted to put your umbrella down and your neighbour liked the shade. It was the cause of many a disgruntled comment. There was also the age old issue of sunbed reserving. Despite the hotel policy being that this was not allowed it was never policed. We were lucky enough to get a sunbed around the pool and the ones next to us had a towel on them all day but no-one ever came and used them. Very selfish and inconsiderate and I told the staff but they did nothing. The pool was OK but not huge and quite noisy when full of children. Out stay was on a B&B basis - thank goodness. We are early risers so were at breakfast by seven most mornings. If you left it too late - it was carnage. The food? Very mediocre. There was plenty of choice but some wasn't great quality. To be quite honest the eggs were absolutely disgusting. They were batch cooked and sat on the counter top behind. They were then transferred to the hot plate for a few seconds to warm though and put under a hot light. Except - it didn't keep them warm never mind hot. We didn't have any other meals there because if breakfast was anything to go by - we didn't want to waste our money. Just a short walk from the hotel you came into the main town area. Plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and amenities and we ate out there every night. The night market was great for walking around but don't be fooled - its not as cheap as you'd think. You really have to haggle and in a lot of cases - the shops sold the same things at a fraction of the cost. I would just like to end on a more positive note - ALL of the staff that we met, spoke with or dealt with - were fantastic. So friendly and helpful and willing to help. A real credit to the resort. What a shame that they seemed over stretched. Would we recommend or go back again.... sadly no.

Nice location and value for money

The room was a bit shabby and smelled odd. Even the sheets smelled a bit of mould.

The rooms are great. Our air conditioning broke twice, but was repaired quickly. Our friends had a swim up room by the other pool bar, lovely & quiet compared to the main pool area The sun bed wars are real. If you’re not down by 6am you won’t get front row. Nothing is done about it. But, if you can’t beat ‘em…. Sun beds are close together, but just enough space & umbrellas to move around, good drinks service too. The restaurant is ok. Some meals a lot better than others. It’s expensive!! There is a restaurant a short walk along the beach, with massage. Good food, good value Won’t be returning due to sun bed issues. But it was still a great setting!!

We spent 3 weeks in thailand, staying in 4 different resorts and this was by far the best. It is small enough to feel personal, right on the most beautiful beach, with several stunning pools and a range of ages/groups staying meaning there was a great atmosphere. We stayed for 4 nights but wish we had had 2 weeks here! The breakfast was delicious and the setting is unbelievable. We ate at the restaurant for dinner on the night we arrived as it was late - the food was just ok compared to other restaurants we tried in the area, but the drinks and the setting/views from the beach were great. We didn’t use them, but the kids spaces and splash zone looked excellent and the hotel definitely looked very family friendly. The location is great - just a five minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the small town of Khao Lak with plenty of local and western restaurants and bars nearby. In my opinion Khao Lak is the perfect base to explore southern Thailand! I would 100% stay at La Flora again and recommend to friends!

People reserve sun beds from very early in the morning and aren’t using them

We stayed in a seaside pool access room, which was spacious, stylish, and very clean. The breakfast was good, and we really enjoyed having breakfast with our feet in the sand. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and well maintained. However, the hotel feels quite crowded. There are many guests and too few sunbeds. Most of the sunbeds are placed very close together in the area between the pool and the beach, which means there is very little privacy. Additionally, people were smoking various things in this area. If we had not had pool access, I probably would not have been fully satisfied. The staff are kind and helpful. The gym could benefit from an update.
