Reviewed Sep 13, 2026It is a plain and simple hotel, but with good taste! There are two lovely shops and a cafe! And, a movie theater! The dorm room was great! Nice lighting, too. Clean and one's own area was spacious. Verrry comfortable bed, too! Daily clean towels were provided.
I did not mind, but other people might not appreciate the unfriendliness of the staff at the reception desk. One or two staff only were wonderful! Also, if one hopes for a kitchen, there isn't one. However, it's a bonus that there is a fridge, hot water and a microwave. There was nothing else. No counters or dishes=No space. It is a hotel:)

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026We stayed in the mixed dormitory room at HOTEL KARAE, and it was honestly such a great experience. This is definitely not like a regular dormitory! The sleeping spaces are thoughtfully designed and feel much more comfortable and private than a typical shared room. Everything was extremely clean, modern, and well organized. The location is also excellent and very convenient for exploring Karatsu. The whole hotel has a stylish atmosphere, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. If you usually avoid dormitories because you prefer more privacy and comfort, do not let the words “mixed dormitory” put you off. This one feels completely different, and we were very comfortable throughout our stay. We absolutely loved HOTEL KARAE and would happily choose it again whenever we visit Karatsu. Highly recommended! ❤️

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Amazing hostel -- The women's dorm + bathroom is quite large, and each bed space is vast and sheltered. The bedding and mattress were both very comfortable. It really surpasses any expectation you would have about a hostel. Spotless clean. Everything feels a little bit high end. Not the regular budget hostel amenities and furniture, quite the opposite actually. Very good price quality ratio.
Compared to the quality of the entire facility, the laundry section could be improved. Everything worked perfectly, but it was constantly busy. Had to queue up and anticipate.

不衛生。ダニがいました。一般的な掃除はされているのでしょうが、駆除や施設の清潔さは最悪。 身体中にダニに刺され、隣の部屋は食べたものやタオルなどを廊下に出しています。スタッフもだらしないし、共有スペースで過ごしている人も、着替えや食べ物を並べていて、最悪。

The rooms are compact but well-designed, with everything you need. The hotel itself is a complex with a café, coworking space, art center, and gift shop. The price-quality ratio is pleasantly surprising.
I would like a little more variety in breakfasts.

オ−トバイが置ける場所が近くにはなく、唐津城の駐車場（無料は有難いが）まで荷物をかついで17分も歩かなければならなかった。

Le petit déjeuner. De manière générale je pense qu’il vaut mieux (quand on est européen) éviter de prendre le petit déjeuner dans ce type d’hôtel dans des villes qui ne reçoivent pas beaucoup d’étrangers. Il y a toujours une bouilloire dans les chambres et on peut se faire soi même un petit déjeuner.

Reviewed May 10, 2026駅から近く、センスの良い建物で清潔感がありました。旅の都合でほぼ泊まるだけになってしまいましたが、建物に入っている飲食店や映画館などもゆっくり楽しみたいと思いました。
1点だけ残念だったのが、ドミトリーのベッドに併設の貴重品入れにホコリが溜まっていました。あまり使われないなら仕方ないかもしれませんが、他が清潔感あった分、気になってしまいました。個人の感覚です。一般的な汚いレベルではありません。

Reviewed May 6, 2026大概是住過日本背包房裡最文青和高級的⋯•因為黃金週入住，房價上漲，所以選了背包房，意外的感動！ 房間非常寬敞舒適，看其他評論和照片感覺比一般房間還寬大，每個窗位都有窗簾，房內有私人乾濕分離式衛浴，吹風機和備品也很充分，大廳櫃檯旁邊的自助洗衣房還有自動販賣機和冰箱微波爐，樓下就是附設的咖啡廳和中華餐廳，商店街和景點近在咫尺👍👍👍
