Reviewed Aug 13, 2026隅々まで行き届いた細やかな心遣い。飾られているお花のセンスの良さやお布団の寝心地の良さや、お部屋に用意されているお茶セットが2セットあることなど。緑茶とほうじ茶の両方が用意されてもいること。茶器を日々変えてくださり楽しめること。朝食の質の高さとサービスの良さ。全体に漂う清潔さと隙のなさ。お庭の素晴らしさ。スタッフの方達のエネルギーと笑顔。とにかく全ての点が最高でした。

Un accueil incroyable par l’équipe et le propriétaire, un lieu magique, ça a été notre coup de cœur de notre voyage d’un mois (sachant que nous avons été dans pas mal de ryokan) ! Le repas du soir était super, aucun regret de l’avoir ajouté à l’addition ! Nous vous recommandons cet endroit à 100%, vous ne trouverez pas meilleur en qualité prix 😊

Le souper qu'on a pris valait la peine et le jardin est magnifique. Une expérience unique à vivre au Japon, et Yoyokaku est la place où le vivre!

Reviewed May 26, 2026Tout est fantastique. Cette 'adresse est une perle. Tout est fait pour un séjour japonais comme dans les rêves Le ryokan en lui-même est magnifique et une visite en soi. Il est bien entretenu et très confortable. Nous aurions pu y rester toute la journée. Les personnes tenant la maison sont d'une gentillesse immense. Le service est impeccable. Nous avons pris un dîner pendant notre séjour qui était excellent de goût et de finesse. TV

It is a little far from town, so plan to walk or take a cab.

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026Etablissement exceptionnel : situation, confort des chambres, jardin, personnel, onsen...tout est parfait. On est cmme chez soi . Nous avons passé 4 jours de rêve. Un des plus beaux Ryokans du Japon selon nous . La proximité de la plage est un atout. Merci à tout le personnel , au "owner" et à son fils . Nous reviendrons au YOYOKAKU si nos pas nous guident encore au Japon.

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026Location-wise it wasn't close to the train station, but it is close to the beach and the castle, and while the tourist information desk is back at the station, you can start the recommended sight-seeing loop at the castle with no issues. The food is fantastic. I just had the normal option with the fish and every part of it was great. There's also a coffee machine with pods available for use so I didn't even have any complaints about the coffee. I'm not sure of the make but the pods were aluminum so they will recycle. The futon was one of the more comfortable ones I've had.
I felt guilty about being treated so nicely. My one complaint was that there was too much food! I suppose being far from a combini is one thing but that's a minor problem.

The staff were exceptional and the food was prepared with the utmost of care. This was the most memorable of places we have ever experienced. We couldn't recommend highly enough.

Reviewed Mar 24, 2026Absolut alles hat mir gefallen: es ist wunderschön, traditionell, moderne Elemente, die Gastfreundschaft ist selbst für Japan besonders, die drei Ausstellungsräume für Keramik sind wirklich sehr besonders, das japanische Frühstück war nicht nur optisch grossartig und die Lage.
Das ich nicht das Abendessen gewählt habe, aber dazu kann das Yoyokaku nun wirklich nichts.

Our room, which overlooked the garden and the koi pond, was spacious and lovely. There was incredible attention to every detail, and the service was exceptional, even by Japanese standards. The staff was helpful and always greeted us with a smile. The Japanese breakfast was both varied and delicious. This is Japan at its very best.

Reviewed Mar 6, 2026요요카쿠, 이 곳은 제가 일본에서 료칸을 떠올리면 가장 마지막까지 남아있어주면 좋겠다 싶은 곳입니다. 한국분들이 생각하는 온천과 노천탕은 없지만(물론 욕장이 있습니다) 싸구려 구색 맞추기 료칸의 어설픈 음식과 건축물이 아닌 진짜 진짜배기라는 건 이런 것이다 하는 경험을 하게 해줍니다. 정성스럽게 만든 음식들이 사가현 카라츠 도자기들로 플레이팅 되어 나올 때 기물의 힘을 느낍니다. 과하게 간을 하지 않고 재료의 맛을 최대한 살린 음식들은 요요카쿠 정도는 되어야 제대로된 음식이 나오는 료칸이구나 하는 어떤 기준점을 가질 수 있게 해줍니다. 당연히 요요카쿠의 100년 훌 쩍 넘은 오래된 건축물과 정원에 있는 500년 된 소나무들을 보며 걷는 시간은 타임슬립을 한 것 같죠. 여기는 가보셔야 합니다, 후쿠오카에 거주하며 큐슈지역의 수많은 온천 료칸을 다녀보았지만 단 한 곳만 선택해서 지인들과 가족들과 가고싶은 곳은 어디냐 라고 질문을 받았을 때 늘 요요카쿠 라고 대답해요. * 음식은 카이세키 혹은 일본식 샤브샤브를 선택 할 수 있는데 이거 꼭 반반으로 신청하세요 2명이면 1명은 카이세키, 1명은 샤브샤브 이렇게 해서 쉐어해서 반드시 드시기를 추천합니다.
이곳에서 아쉬움을 느끼시는 수준이시라면 1인당 70만원 이상의 초고급 온천료칸을 선택하시면 됩니다.

Reviewed Feb 13, 2026두번째 방문입니다. 항상 친절하게 응대해주시며 픽업서비스를 받고 숙소에 도착할 수 있습니다. 저녁요리를 예약하지 못하고 도착하여 밖에서 먹을 예정이었으나, 저녁 샤브샤브는 가능하시다 하여 맛있게 먹었습니다. 조찬도 깔끔하게 나와 아침에 든든하게 먹고 출발할 수 있었습니다. 대욕장은 적당한 크기에 정돈되어있었고 좋은 탕이었어요. 경치좋은방으로 배정받아서 저녁에 가라쓰성의 야경도 볼 수 있었고 정원도 구경할 수 있어서 좋았습니다. 다음에 또 방문하겠습니다.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026오래된 건물임에고 관리가 잘 되어 있고 너무너무 깨끗했어요. 대욕장에서의 온천욕도 좋았고 다른 숙박객들과 마주칠 일 없이 조용하게 힐링할 수 있는 곳입니다. 조식도 너무 맛있어요! 무조거추가입니다.
에어컨 온도 조작이 서툴러서 저와 맞는 온도를 설정하는데 좀 힘들었어요.

Reviewed Jan 10, 2026Everything about our stay at Yōyōkaku was perfect. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. Both the breakfast and dinner were delicious and beautifully prepared. Plus, the location is very convenientjust a short walk to Karatsu Castle. Highly recommended!

Reviewed Dec 28, 2025The experience at Yoyokaku is like a journey into the past but with contemporary services. Best of both worlds! This is my second stay and I hope to visit again. The interior layout and look is refined, modern and offers essential needs with elegance.

Reviewed Dec 5, 2025Mon séjour dans ce ryokan est l'un de mes meilleurs souvenirs du Japon. Tout, jusqu'au moindre détail, y est beau, élégant, raffiné. L'accueil est délicieux. Le dîner et le petit déjeuner sont exceptionnels. Savourer le thé que l'on vous offre à votre arrivée, marcher dans le jardin, prendre un bain, découvrir et déguster les plats étonnants que l'on vous sert... Un grand bonheur !

Reviewed Nov 27, 2025Gorgeous Ryokan. My room was overlooking the little inner garden with the pond and I enjoyed every moment gazing out of the window. Very tranquil place surrounded by a Japanese garden. The room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Everyone was very attentive and friendly, making the stay a wonderful experience. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, varied and of high quality. I wish I could have stayed longer!

It would be even better if breakfast could be served in the guest rooms.

Reviewed Oct 20, 2025Yoyokaku left us a very special memory our of all the places we stayed in Kyushu. Everyone was so kind to us and our little girl really enjoyed interacting with them even though we don’t speak their language. The whole place was immaculate and atmospheric especially with their outdoor garden and pond with carps. We could tell that our meals were made with lots of care and love. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
