Very outdated, air conditioning didn’t work well in our room. We asked so many times to have a technician and no one came or remedied! Over priced and definitely should not be called a five star property. It’s more like a 3star

Splendido Hotel storico in posizione centralissima nel centro di Perugia, viste mozzafiato, ambienti sontuosi e staff e servizi che meritano sicuramente 5 stelle. Siamo stati coccolati e riveriti con disinvoltura e gentilezza.

The Hotel was amazing however when we arrived we asked to have a transfer arranged for our return to Rome airport after our stay. We were assured that would be taken care of. We checked the 2nd day and the third day to make sure this was taken care of since we had a party of 5 including luggage. Each time we were assured this was taken care of. The morning of our flight we came down to the lobby with all our luggage only to find out that we could not get a taxi in time to make our flight. No one told us this might be a problem at 4 am. We finally ended up having to change our flight which resulted in extra cost, many hours of waiting for layovers and many more hours flight time. It unfortunately made a wonderful experience very upsetting in the end.

Mi è piaciuto la piscina interna, la signora che ci ha accolti gentilissima e la pozione.

Non mi è piaciuto la colazione, per un albergo di questo tipo mi aspettavo molto ma molto di più anche perché chiedono 25€ a persona! Anche per i bimbi. Io c'e l'avevo inclusa però molto delude. Una cosa veramente assurda è, le camere sono molto spaziose, ci va benissimo un divano letto eppure non puoi prenotare per 2 adulti e 2 bambini. Questa cosa va assolutamente rivista.

I personally felt that the breakfast was not up to my expectation. And eggs etc. cost extra?!!! But maybe as I am used to breakfasts in safari lodges in Africa and India I expected too much.

This is a beautiful hotel with large rooms in Perugia, IT. It is extremely well located 100 meters from historic old town, but is a bit of a drive to get to (winding and thin Italian roads). The rooms were beautiful, and large, and ours had a wonderful view of the valley beneath Perugia (stunning scenery). The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. This hotel was expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

Everything was great; nothing to report on the "didn't like" section.

We have our own business and would love to have those girls as staff what an asset they are to your hotel you are lucky to have people of that calibre working alongside you.

It is truly the best hotel in town with a magnificent view of the Umbria valley. Spotless rooms that are comfortable and well maintained. The location enabled us to easily walk to all the venues and restaurants during the Umbria jazz festival. We stsyed for 4 days and would love to come back.

Umbria Jazz yearly returnig costumer. The Hotel has been beautifully renewed, room was extralarge, high ceiling, cosy and clean. Bathroom completely renewed and upgraded. Wish the necessary renovations had somewhat showed more respect for the unique historical heritage of the place. Overall this remains a jewel in Perugia, highly recommended.

They didn’t replace the trays of cold meat or cheese. 3 pieces was left on the dish and no one replenish the food.

This hotel is situated in the most perfect location. Our second stay - I have trouble accepting its 5* rating though. Yes the rooms are modernised and comfortable. However we found the service very hit & miss and we didn’t enjoy the quality of the food. Finer details make a huge difference.

Having visited Hotel Brufani on two previous occasions I can verify that the hotel & its facilities plus the exceptional & friendly service from all the staff made my visit a pleasure. I highly recommend this hotel if visiting Perugia.

There literally was nothing that I could complain about. Visiting Hotel Brufani part of the Sina group was a pleasure. The hotel is a very traditional type in a beautiful setting. However the International Jazz Festival held in July is likely to attract many people to the area so there will be a lot of noise in Perugia with of course a variety of music!

We first stayed at the Brufani years ago, and this visit was just as special. The Hotel is classic, yet our room had very updated furnishings. The views were spectacular, breakfast offered many varieties and was delicious. Above all, the service was outstanding. Located on the edge of the old city, so much was walkable- sights, restaurants, and shops. The Brufani provided a memorable stay in Perugia.

Almost everything was great.

The thermostat in the room did not work well, it was either too hot or too cold.

The hotel was very peaceful and welcoming. We felt relaxed and welcomed from the moment we arrived. The staff took really good care of everything. The location is excellent. We are delighted to have chosen this place. From the lobby to the room(s) and the bar the whole place is well designed and classy. The overall experience was excellent that's why we returned to spend the last day of our holiday.

This is a return visit to the excellently located and historical Sina Brufani. Convenient for the mini metro from/to Perugia train station and easily walkable to Perugia's many attractions, while the location offers splendid views over the lower city and countryside. My recently renovated room, was calm/relaxing and well equipped. The service, was as usual, seamless from check in to check out. Dinner at Collins, was excellent, perfectly prepared food and professional staff. While the outdoor terrace with wonderful views served excellent cocktails during the day and evening. It is good to see the hotel retain many of its historical features, while offering all modern amenities. The subterranean swimming pool is very special. I would like to recognise the staff, some who have been with the hotel for many years. They provide the continuity and are proud of the hotel, very important.

Das Parking ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Das Hotel wird momentan renoviert und Lärm ist ziemlich störend, vor allem ohne jegliche Vorankündigung.

Overall it’s a lovely hotel in a perfect location in a beautiful city. Highlights for me: huge comfy beds, quietest aircon ever, so slept really well. Good breakfast buffet, lovely staff, iconic pool. Only downside is a tiny gym. Overall really great base to see Umbria.

Hotel is fabulous with all the original features preserved and maintained. The swimming pool in the basement was lovely, set over windows showing roman ruins. Great breakfast. Room was spacious and comfortable. Easy walking distance to the main piazze of the town with restaurants and shops.

First time in Italy and first stop was Perugia. Beautiful city and will be returning soon. When I do return I will be staying at Sina Brufani. Beautiful hotel with great rooms and views. Staff is fantastic. Location is great. A couple of blocks from the city center. But, I especially want to thank the staff at the Collins bar. They went over and above. They made me feel welcome and I felt like I was among friends. I highly recommend Hotel Sina Brufani.

אני חוזרת שוב ושוב למלון הזה בגלל המיקום, הצוות האדיב ועוזר, החדרים המרווחים והנוחים ושירות החניה היעיל. שוק העתיקות ממש מול המלון וקרוב לכל מקומות הטיול, הקניות והמסעדות של העיר. הפעם ביקרתי גם בבריכה המחוממת במרתף שהיתה נהדרת. ארוחת בוקר טובה מאוד, מקלחת נקיה וטובה. אוהבת את העיצוב של המלון. רוצה לציין במיוחד את הקונסיירז' שגם מטפל בחניה שתמיד אדיב וחייכן. בכלל צוות מקסים יש במלון.

Beautiful hotel and stay Jacomo was very helpful

Breakfast was adequate. There was no egg station and items would run out or staff not quickly attentive to basics like refilling coffee or providing a milk jug for tea. This purports to be a 5 star hotel but breakfast was not at this level.

There are many small things, for example the carpet on the stairs between floors was very worn, the public areas could be very bare of designed furnishings and ambiance.

Zimmer Gross, Frühstücks gut, Hotel sehr Schön, personal Freundlich und kompetent.

The hotel was located at the heart of the City in close proximity to the restaurants and town square. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to assist our group with all matters and acted impeccably when we had a medical emergency in the group.

I visited this hotel with my mum and we had a twin room which was very spacious, always clean and had most amenities. What would have been nice is to have a coffee machine in the room as opposed to a kettle. However, the views were stunning and the service was impeccable. The breakfast was simple amazing and so was the staff. Every morning we had the lovely Sadit serving us the delicious italian coffees and Giacomo at reception was extremely helpful even before we even arrived. I cannot fault the hotel really. The only thing that was not pleasant was the time we spent in the pool as there were maintenence works going on with some pretty loud noises but otherwise really great stay and look forward to visit in the future.

There wasnt something in particular. As I said above just a small recommendation to have a coffee machine in the room.

The front desk staff were exceptionally good and I would give special mention of Valeria, Giacomo Chiara and Eva who were all charming and helpful in making our stay memorable. In the breakfast room Victoria was excellent and charming also to guests. Absolutely 5 Star and to the standards I receive from LHW membership.

We recently stayed at the Sina Brufani in Perugia for 4 nights at the end of our travels around Tuscany. POSITIVES: - The hotel location is excellent -with very easy walking access to everything in Perugia - We stayed in a “Signature Deluxe” room where the room size was very good and clearly newly renovated NOT SO GOOD: - Bathroom is a good size, but by installing independent shower and bath, the shower is a little cramped. Poor design. - Air conditioning in the room was crazy, and we eventually found out the main temperature control resides with the front-desk. This is very frustrating for clients who either freeze or get to hot. - Room description on the web is "These spacious rooms offer two windows overlooking the green Umbrian valleys or the beautiful Piazza Italia". Attached photo shows the view from our room, which I leave for others to judge, but was not what I expected. NEGATIVES: - A lot of the hotel seems (end April, 2026) to be in the middle of refurbishment, leaving guests with the sensation they are in the middle of an ongoing project. That’s not a 5* experience. - Some areas such as the walk from the reception desk to the stairs / elevator to rooms look bare and neglected - or you may bump into painters on the staircase - One seriously bad experience was the breakfast buffet. The buffet ran out of items every single day we were there, and we had to wait for things to be replenished. It should not matter that there is a group or 15 or 20 guests in the hotel who had come down earlier for breakfast – this is a 5* luxury hotel. OVERALL: Clearly this hotel could be a 5* luxury hotel – and clearly it was in the past. It seems to have that old world charm trying to shine through. But as of May 2026, the refurbishment seems to be a bit lost in terms of what it is doing and what it wants to be. Maybe the hotel should have closed completely for refurbishment – and opened shiny and new, rather than having guests experience a hotel that has lost its charm and is still not finished.

Excellent hotel, delicious breakfast, and outstanding service. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. They even had the patience to speak Italian with me even though I’m only starting to learn the language, which I truly appreciated. This is my second time staying here, and it definitely won’t be the last. I will without a doubt always come back to this hotel whenever I return. The breakfast, service, location, rooms, and cleanliness were all excellent. Thank you so much for all your kindness and attention during my stay. Sofía Paredes 🇲🇽

La posizione dell'hotel è in pieno centro storico della città. E' facilmente raggiungibile. Il parcheggio non è facile da trovare, ma i receptionist trovano una soluzione il prima possibile. Una nota di merito a tutto lo staff, super gentili.
