Raum mit eigenem Badezimmer nicht zu empfehlen mit grossem Gepäck, da eine steile, enge Wendeltreppe hoch führt

The hostel was wonderful. Alex was incredibly friendly and helpful. The people at the hostel were so warm and welcoming, and the place has its own unique charm—it feels more like a big shared house than a typical hostel. The location is very central, and everything is within walking distance. The beds were really comfortable, and it had everything you needed.

I had an incredible stay in Ericeira at the 70's Hotel. The staff's hospitality and the overall atmosphere exceeded my expectations. Thank you to Alex for making us feel right at home.

Very friendly crowd, regular activities are arranged together. The rooms and the common space were cleaned regularly. The hosts were really accommodating. I would visit them again!

Alex and Gaby are great hosts. I had an amazing time here and felt welcome from the first minute. The place is always very clean and the location is great if you want to go to the beach or Ericeira's center. There are special activities here and there that are truly beautiful. For surfing it is great, you can go to the nearby beaches or join a surf lesson, beautiful memories and a lot of fun!

There could be more plugs, but it is always manageable.

Podiam ter avisado que o acesso ao quarto privado era através de uma escadaria íngreme em caracol. Só tive água quente no último dia e não tive TV, podiam ter compensado com algum desconto.

Alex is an incredible host!! Gabriela and surf instructor Luis are also incredible, what wonderful people here - you will be welcomed like family!

Stuff from the hostel were really friendly and helpfull.

Tolles Personal, perfekte Lage: Man ist schnell an Strand, in Innenstadt, in Restaurants und Geschäften, aber die Gasse an sich ist ruhig. Hostel ausgelegt auf Surfen etc mit einem tollen Vibe. Wir hatten das Doppelzimmer unterm Dach, was ruhig und lauschig war. Es war sauber und die Ausstattung in Küche und kleinem Trainingsraum und Aufenthaltsraum war auch super.

Mit großem Gepäck ist der Aufstieg zum Doppelzimmer über eine schmale, steile, gewundene Treppe eine Herausforderung. Das Bett war leider extrem hart und unbequem.

The private bathroom is not en suite and so not ideal when you need the loo in the night. The night light requires you to wear an eye mask and the street noise and noise from the dorms below meant needing to wear ear plugs too

Super nice hosts, helpful tips about surfing and they let me keep my luggage there and use the facilities after I’d checked out

Tiny cute hostel, with the best vibes. I’ve been coming back a few times. It has everything u need in the kitchen & u get a nice clean towel 🫠there’s also a rooftop& surf lessons and board + wet suit rentals available on the spot, really good location and the cleanest space for sure.

Ich hatte einen außergewöhnlichen Aufenthalt im Hostel. Ich hab mich total wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Gabriela und Alex sind super liebe Menschen und machen alles dafür das man einen tollen Aufenthalt halt. Ich kann die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen und ich freue mich schon darauf zurück zu kommen!! Und die surf lessons machen auch großen Spaß

I loved everything about my stay! The hostel is exactly as described and kept spotless every day, including the kitchen and common areas. Maria is truly the heart and soul of the place — it wouldn’t be the same without her! The location is perfect, super central without being right in the middle of the noise, close to the beaches, and with two coworking spaces just across the street.

Maria is an amazing host who is always looking to make your stay better! The hostel is a very good place to just be for a while🌞. Also there's plenty of other, often solo travelers passing by wich you can connect with and plan nice things together. Lovely place to stay and do your thing.

Une auberge confortable avec des espaces communs accueillants et propres, la localisation est top dans Ericeira, proche de la mer, et une hospitalité de l'hôte extra !

I have spent a bit over a week there and I met a bunch of interesting people. The place attracts certain people mostly young intellectuals who want to enjoy the charm of Ericeira and do some surfing. For me it was a practical base as it is a walking distance from shops, laundry, surfing schools, tennis courts and a short uber rides to breathtaking nature and beaches with waters suitable for surfing. A short walk takes me to the old town with an endless supply of highly rated restaurants and local Portuguese cafés. The owner Maria is an absolutely highlight to my trip. She was very helpful from day one, accommodating and I felt like we did get along very well. What I liked about the hostel is that the rules Maria keeps for everyone’s comfort about not partying there and keep quiet after 23 which are really appreciated. I also enjoyed access to kitchen and cooked fresh stuff straight from the market. As a solo traveler also meeting other solo people from both sexes, the hostel felt very safe.

It can feel a bit crowded in the bathroom, rooms and also in the kitchen. Especially when it is full house and many want to cook or shower at the same time. Also I would have appreciated a bit more space in the fridge. But it wasn’t a major deal as everyone there was accommodating and people were generally respectful.

I had a great time at the 70‘s hostel - Maria was a wonderful and welcoming host. The hostel is cute and very well located. The vibe was great and I met nice people there. Would definitely come back in the future :)

There was a kitchen and space to hang up my surf stuff

The six bedroom dorm was really small and there was no chargers in the top bed. The bathroom was quite dirty and there was no place to hang your stuff. For this price, I cannot recommend this Hostel.

One of the greatest hostels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s pretty much a little family home and Maria is the greatest owner/host in any hostel of history. I really missed having to live in from here. Right in the perfect spot of the old town and super close to everything you need! The place is cleaned every single day and I made such good friends here!

Maria sets the tone, making it a friendly and chill vibe, it’s easy to make friends. She is also very helpful and available. I will for sure come back

Many thanks to Maria, an incredibly loving power woman who was always helpful and made my stay unforgettable. She made me feel so welcome and at home. There is nothing to complain about and would recommend this hostel 100%.

Great services , super close to the center of the city and to the beach’s. Clean and nice . The host , Maria , is an amazing person , making your stay unforgettable. That’s the place to be in Ericeira

Everything, my time here was magical. The people make the place, but the space let's you meet the people. The areas are clean and cozy and it's very easy to meet fellow travellers to surf or do activities with. Cleaning is done on a very regular basis, kitchen has all the utensils you need and includes a cooker, microwave and oven. Maria is fantastic in resolving any queries or issues you might have.
