Overall it was good, but the beds and sheets had a peculiar smell; they didn't seem entirely clean.

This was advertised to look like better than a regular surf camp like there are so many others in Ericeira and it was priced a bit higher too but it wasn't that much better actually.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026L’emplacement est top! La chambre spacieuse et propre. Les volontaires à l’accueil très sympathiques et bien renseignés. Nous avons pris un cours de surf (super pratique, avec le transport depuis l’auberge) et nous étions seulement 3!
La salle de bain aurait mérité un coup de neuf mais elle était propre!

No me gustó que no tenía televisión en la habitación.

Las camas son muy incómodas y las almohadas horribles. No hay aire acondicionado y por la noche con el calor te despiertas empapado en sudor, con la cara pegada a esas almohadas con pinta de no haber sido lavadas últimamente, las cuales desprendían un olor nauseabundo. Las toallas estaban todas completamente deshilachadas y las ventanas del baño en unas condiciones "mejorables". Una cosa es no ser un hotel de lujo y otra no cumplir unos estándares mínimos...

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Unfortunately, there was very little that I could positively highlight because the condition of the room and the way the complaint was handled overshadowed the entire stay.
The room was in an unacceptable hygienic condition and looked very different from the photographs used in the advertisement. The bed linen did not appear to have been changed, there was an unpleasant smell from the bed, and we found hair underneath the pillow that did not belong to us. The towels, bathroom and floor were also dirty. Based on what we personally found, I strongly recommend that future guests carefully check the sheets, pillows and mattress before using the bed. I was left with the serious concern that the bedding had not been properly replaced after the previous guests. When I raised these concerns, the owner was dismissive and extremely arrogant. He showed little interest in accepting responsibility or offering a reasonable refund, despite the photographic evidence and the fact that we were travelling with a young baby. Guests who encounter similar conditions should take photographs immediately, request the official Livro de Reclamações and report the matter to the appropriate Portuguese tourism and consumer authorities ASAE . Hygiene, honesty and respectful customer service should be basic requirements in any accommodation business.

Rapporto qualità/prezzo un po’ elevato considerando che è un ostello e che è incluso solo il pernottamento: 100€/notte siamo ai livelli di un hotel 3 stelle. Difficoltà a relazionarmi con altre persone, nonostante abbia preso una camera privata da un ostello mi aspettavo di trovare gente nelle comuni e eventi organizzati per socializzare

Reviewed May 31, 2026El personal y las facilidades de check-in, estupendas. La ubicación, diría que fantástica. Y la relación calidad-precio, muy acorde a lo que uno necesita. Eso sí, la reserva fue fuera de temporada de verano.
EL que haya humedad por la zona, es normal, pero que las toallas huelan y te dejen ese olor después de la ducha, no es muy agradable. Y salvo algún que otro insecto que me recibió al llegar, por lo demás todo estupendo.

Reviewed May 1, 2026Ist a cute hostel with big garden to chill and kitchen to prepare simple meals. Beds in double bedroom are comfortable, generally the room looks cool with the tiles on the wall! The whole hostel has a good vibe and is located just a 3 min walk to the main square. The staff is also nice, in kitchen you have a big fridge and boxes to store your food. Bathrooms are clean.
The walls are thin paper, from our room you could hear everything. During high season it would probably be much worse, now it was fine. Our room was bright the whole night because of the lights on the opposite building’s outdoor stairs (really weird, not the hostels fault) but this could be easily fixed with better curtains (now they are yellow-ish curtains that are too small so they don’t do a good job blocking the light).

omdat er geen airco is voelde het wat klam en we hadden de pech dat de afvalbak onder ons raam stond en deze vroeg in de ochtend werd geleegd.

Matrassen zijn een beetje zacht.

Reviewed Apr 17, 2026They upgraded us to a one bedroom which was so spacious and nice. The beds were kind of hard, but the covers were great and they gave two pillows. Great location, 20 minute walk from main bus station ( it’s a hike) but once you’re in the town it’s a great spot- close to a bus line too. Very good for surfers - they even have stands and wet suit holder for them. The tiling in the building is beautiful and the showers felt big and cozy castle vibes. The staff is sooooo kind and very helpful- it was so amazing that they English. The kitchen was great, but no freezer. But we liked the space so much we expended the trip by a day and they made that process seamless.
The rooms were quite cold with no extra blankets or way to change the room temperature. It was a bit cold when I was there, so that had an impact on it being cold.
