Good value, friendly, helpful staff, handy for the ferry.
We were in room 2, the music from the bar was a little intrusive in the room.
Convenient for visiting family. Great outside garden space. Bar is much improved after renovations. Menu is good and food really tasty again much improved from previous visit. Single room is a bit student accommodation-ish, but actually I quite liked it!
Breakfast doesn’t meet standard of other food. They ran out of everything, so limited choice
Food was great, room was very clean and comfortable would definitely stay here again.
The breakfast was great, very tasty and the staff were very accommodating. The location was ideal to meet up with friends and visit local attractions.
The weather!
Breakfast was delicious, we knew it would be because we ate in there for our meal the night before and it was so tasty!
Nothing
Its location and value for money
Some of the decor could do with a refresh
It isn’t a really luxurious hotel but very good for the price. The room was comfortable and the food of a standard you would expect for a pub. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Excellent location for catching the ferry to Dublin.
It was a Friday night so quite a bit of noise from bar customers.
Friendly polite staff both at checking in and evening meal and breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a good tea/coffee/biscuit tray
Nothing
We had a great stay. The staff were warm and welcoming, and it was exactly what we needed before catching our ferry the next day. The room was exactly as described and met our expectations. The meal was tasty, and the service was quick and efficient. We'd happily stay here again.
Room was nice Kids loved play area
Restaurant service.
The family room had a good size and is conveniently located close to the ferry.
Rooms were quite old and in need of some improvement.
It was clean and had reasonably comfortable beds with clean bedding and towels. Good location for a late night arrival off the ferry from Ireland including plenty of free parking. Tea and coffee provision in the rooms was very welcome. Good that gluten free cooked breakfast items were available upon request but no gluten free bread.
Breakfast was quite poor with a very limited help yourself choice and watered down fresh juice in unusual flavour choices. The cooked breakfast was nice and hot, cooked to order but tasted of chip fat and was pretty bland. The place is looking tired and slightly shabby.
Clean
Couldn’t reserve a table . Loud music pulsing through the bedroom floor
Receptionen ser ut som en polisstation, men stället är ganska charmigt på ett brittiskt sätt. Bra läge för den som kommer med färjan från Irland. Trevlig personal.
Nice new bar
Rooms a bit dated
Rooms were clean and comfortable Staff were amazing
No ironing facility was the only down fall
Zimmer war ok, sauber und gepflegt
Frühstück! Die Bedienung hat nicht verstanden was gewünscht war ( nur Eier- kein englisches Frühstück) was kam? Großer Teller voll mit allem. Trotz Ankunft vor 21 Uhr, Küche zu, keinerlei Alternative, Lösung: Chips und Nüsse… Gesamteindruck: eher einfach
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was lovely, plenty of tea and coffee and 2 bottles of water. Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. Food in the restaurant was lovely had 3 courses for our evening meal, and really enjoyed them. Breakfast was lovely too. We had a full English breakfast plenty on the plate, there was toast and cereal if you didn't want a full breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Very good quiet location just outside Holyhead. Local Spar supermarket with external cash point just 50 metres away. Hotel has a restaurant open to the public and meals are available up to 20:00 hrs on Sunday Hotel is Ideal for overnite stop for the morning ferry to Ireland..... Pity is you have to miss breakfast to make the ferry.
If you're older there lots of stairs and passageways to negotiate on the first floor. Whilst the property is generally clean, it is a little tired in its decor.
Excellent value for money, I mean really good, probably the best I’ve had recently. The breakfast was lovely, the room was amazing and really well equipped. I’d recommend this place to anyone.
I was going to say the parking, as it was very small. Then the next day I saw the ample parking around the back, it wasn’t easy to spot at night.
Good choice of breakfast.
Room a little dated and televisions are very small
Great value
Small room
Good parking. Twin room good. Breakfast good
A little noisy with motorbike reving in the morning
Took Poppy {dog} No problems. Room was nice size, bed good.
Bathroom lacking, No Plugs near Head of bed, no shaver point in bathroom.
The room we had was very comfortable and renovated to a good standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lounge and outside patio areas had plenty of relaxing seating. The breakfast choices exceeded our expectations.
Location for stopover for ferry crossing. Clean rooms and excellent staff who went above and beyond to ensure we had breakfast when our ferry time was moved to very early morning.
Nothing
The breakfast was very good generous portions and nicely cooked The room was quiet despite being right on the road right next to the traffic lights well insulated Set up of the room ideal for family with separate bunk room Shower was good
Mattress wasn’t the best quality Only one central light in the children’s bedroom and light in passage way linked to that in the main bedroom so couldn’t leave any light on for the children had to buy a night light
Friendly staff nice bar area.
Toilet in room not flushing correctly. Lack of powerpoints in room.
Staff were great nice team. Breakfast was fresh every morning good quality food. Bottled water every day fill up on tea coffe and milk.
Room a little on small side .
Friendly staff
Breakfast was ok. Sausage poor quality. Tasted strange. Need to include fruit for breakfast. Coffee was bland. Single bed was uncomfortable for a tall person. Noisy kitchen fan going all night.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good to have vegan options on the menu
No complaints
The staff were amazing - so kind and helpful
Nothing
Excellent Hotel. I am deaf, travelling with an Assistance Dog, and was made very welcome by everyone at the hotel. Location is very good for exploring Anglesey
The convenience visiting family locally
Checking in took so long as no one was at the desk and no one answered the bell that you have to ring. I rang 3 times and had to go to the bar to get help.
good food evening and breakfast.
A shorter sevey !
The whole setup was very good with friendly staff. This was a return visit and will use again.
Everything was to our satisfaction
enorm gezellig terras en zeer hondvriendelijk. prima avond met het gezin gehad.
Parking and proximity to ferry
Very dated and needed an upgrade
Good mattress and good quality clean bedding. Decor and carpets left a lot to be desired.
Poor quality carpets and decoration in public areas.
We had 2 bedrooms, which was really good. Breakfast included
We went down for breakfast earlier than we needed to really, I ordered a veggie breakfast, not sure if it's normal but here it took around 30min for it to come, which made us have to then rush. It was really nice and tasty, could tell it was freshly cooked, just needed to be faster
Twin room was small but comfy. Breakfast was very good.
Had to ask for the hot water, milk & coffee to be replenished.
Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Pub lädt zum Abendessen ein. Sehr gute Lage, wenn man die Fähre in Holyhead nehmen möchte. Zimmer waren renoviert und funktional.
nichts
Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with desk and chair. Plenty of hot water from shower and taps. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.
Good location
Location
Noisy road outside at times
Big car park
Nothing
The hotel is extremely convenient for the ferry terminal The staff are very pleasant and helpful The hotel although slightly older decor is still clean and comfortable The food was extremely tasty and well packaged
Staff very helpful & friendly
A little dated in the bedrooms
The Staff were wonderful and the Food was delicious. The TV was too small and the sound didn't work, no sub titles either probably because the TV was ancient
bar facilities, great beer
longer stay
A good base to travel around Anglesey. Loved that it was dog- friendly. Nicely refurbished room/bar
We needed a small fridge in the room. We were unable to keep meat fresh for our dog.
Suited our needs perfectly. Good breakfast and clean, spacious rooms. Plenty of parking and a good bar on site.
The location is good being near to the ferry port to/from Holyhead & Dublin. Cooked breakfast is alright and WiFi is working.
This hotel is an old travel inn and pub with rooms all over with steps up and down. For two OAPs the receptionist did not offer to help with the luggage and find the room until we asked.
This was arranged as a break in the journey from Northern Ireland. We had a nice welcome from the staff. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a relaxing drink in the bar which has a good selection and a good pint of Guinness. There was a good selection and choice of breakfast which was okay, apart from the quality of the sausage.
The breakfast arrangements could be better. The water in the jug was not hot enough for the tea after it had been standing and we had to ask for fresh. There did seem a lack of attention in that area of keeping an eye on things, but overall, things were fine.
Prima doorreishotel.
Het was onbekend wat een gekookt ei is
We had a good evening meal and breakfast.
Very small room and no fan available to help us cope with the heat! Dirty patches on the carpet. The room overlooked the kitchen extractor fans which were very noisy until after 1am.
Friendly staff, good menu choice in the restaurant and good value for money overall.
Can't think of much, traffic noise on the road outside was a bit irritating.
The friendly and helpful staff
Room was a bit basic
A little out of town
Nothing
Close to ferry at Holyhead good value for money good meals and competitively priced for 🍻
Great hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Good stopover on way to Irish ferries. Comfortable bar with excellent seating. Good breakfast.
Evening food was very poor. Fish so thin it was hard to find in rock hard batter. No wine list and limited selection.
The staff were lovely. The breakfast was good. The hotel was clean, though the landing carpets have visible stains.
There was only 1 other pub and nothing else to do in Valley. The price of drinks is expensive. The lighting in the room wasn't good. There is no air conditioning and no fans in the rooms, and no air. The sink taps were hard to turn off
Lovely central location Close to lots of different eateries,
Nothing
Very, very clean. Very helpful staff. A good menu and comfortable bar area.
No fault of the hotel, but quite a warm day. This made the bedroom very hot and stuffy despite the windows open as far as we could. A fan might have helped.
Room was spacious and clean.
The bedroom looked recently decorated and clean. The towels were good and there was plenty of hot water - a very good shower. The dinner was good, especially the chicken. The supply of breakfast cereals, especially muesli, was good.
It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit for breakfast and some plain yoghurt. I would have preferred some stronger coffee served in nicer cups or mugs. It`s a pity there wasn`t a lift but I can understand it probably would be difficult with the layout of the hotel. To have stayed longer than one night, not to have had any drawers to put clothes in could be a problem.
Convenient for the ferry and a decent pub / restaurant. Took dogs.
Stayed in the really hot period at end on June. 35 degrees. Room was so hot and humid overnight. No fan or air con. Worst nights (lack of) sleep ever
Location
No air condition or fan very hot and uncomftable room to sleep in would not stay there again
Staff were welcoming, food was good and hotel was dog friendly
Too hot, as the radiators in the corridor appeared to be on despite the hot weather. There was fan or cooling facility in the room.
Friendly staff. Good wifi.
Uncomfortably hot in the rooms, with no air con. Restaurant closed at 8pm. Television in the rooms lacked signal.
Friendly staff and plenty of them lovely breakfast great location. Luke a member of the very family team was always available to help maintenance to Window is done immediately very impressed.
For us personally, it was the stairs to the rooms as my friend has full ability, but we were aware of this prior to visiting, but unfortunately it would prevent a
The cooked breakfast and the location were the only perks of this stay
Room stank of cigarettes, it is July so the windows were open upon arrival. The smell was extremely strong that its more likely that someone had smoked previously in the room. If it was coming from the car park, they should make more of a effort to keep smokers away from hotel windows as it was disguising. The floor boards had gone in the room so the floor was creaky meaning any time you moved there was noise throughout the room. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything from adjacent rooms. The paint was peeling off the walls in the bathroom and the towels had makeup stains on. There was little to no staff around, simply a key drop at reception so no one to ask how our stay was. Would not stay again for the money we paid
Great location for the ferry to Dublin. We travelled late and arrived only 10 mins before the last arrival time and the hosts were great. Good breakfast to start the day and the. An easy short hope to the ferry.
Ideally situated on A5 for Holyhead ferry to Ireland. Very quiet, bedrooms very comfortable. A highlight was the freshly cooked to order breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Nothing
Location
No bar tabs for drink or food despite staying there overnight
Nice garden area outside
Service was poor and the prices were high given the quality of the accommodation.
pretty basic food was fine and staff were pleasant car parking okay?
Very basic
Location, refreshed interior
Bar and breakfast.
Hot evening. No fan.
Nice room. Excellent staff very friendly and helpful. Food and beverage offer excellent. Great location for exploring the island.
The room had no air on or a fan so very warm. No drawers for clothes or bits and pieces.
Location; friendliness of staff; breakfast; dog friendly
Nothing - for price paid, all expectations met
Comfortable
The state of repair in the room
Excellent restaurant and food Staff. Very friendly
Restaurant
Closeness to Holyhead Port, dogs welcome throughout and a great breakfast freshly cooked
Some might find it a little noisy from the road traffic but it didn’t bother us
Very very clean
Arrived after a very long journey at 240pm but were not allowed to book into the room at exactly 3pm so had to sit there & wait
Location and recently refurbished
No fans in room !
Great cleen hotel great breakfast very large beer garden to relax in other pub food choices all ok and fairly priced good friendly staff in all parts of the hotel great location to go exploring from well worth a trip up holyhead mountain for the views if you get time
all ok room on the small size but had everything i needed
Room was clean, coffee and tea with a biscuit were good, very quiet.
Shower was poor, but the bath was a bonus. Breakfast could do with some fruit,
Comfortable room, excellent shower , nice bar area & gardens . Lovely choice at breakfast , would recommend
Nothing to say
Old looking building, but with modern rear bar and restaurant.
Room was extremely hot, and unfortunately overlooked the kitchen extractor so couldn’t get an early night sleep as the noise of it was quite loud
Everything!
I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel.
I thought the hotel was a bit overpriced, including the bar (£5.90 for a pint!).
We had breakfast on our first visit and it was excellent. On our second visit we unfortunately had to leave very early so missed it. We had meals on both nights and they were excellent.
On our first visit we were given a room which unfortunately had a cooler outside the window. We asked for a change of room and it was dealt with quickly and efficiently. This room was perfect. On our second visit we were given a family room and this was excellent too.
The staff were excellent. Young friendly capable staff. Drinks were good, food good, breakfast very good and fresh
No place to meet except for the bar.
Lots of seating area indoors and outdoors. Comfy rooms. In a good location for easy route into Holyhead for the ferry to Dublin. Lots of tea coffee water and biscuits in room. Continental or cooked brekkie (or both if greedy!) Quiz was an added bonus.
Room comfy and generally good decor. However, bath panel was part loose. Rowdy group of ladies, only having a good time but did disturb our meal enjoyment a bit.
If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything.
