Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt im Scandic Voss. Die Lage ist natürlich unschlagbar: Das Hotel liegt direkt am Bahnhof und gleichzeitig sehr zentral in Voss. Gerade für einen Zwischenstopp oder wenn man mit dem Zug unterwegs ist, ist das ausgesprochen praktisch. Ein echtes Highlight war dagegen das Frühstück. Die Auswahl war groß und die Qualität sehr gut – hier hat das Hotel unsere Erwartungen definitiv erfüllt. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis fanden wir insgesamt passend. Für die Lage, die Ausstattung und das gute Frühstück ist der Preis aus unserer Sicht in Ordnung. Fazit: Ein gutes Hotel für einen Aufenthalt in Voss, insbesondere als Ausgangspunkt für eine Rundreise oder einen kurzen Zwischenstopp. Wer empfindlich auf Zuggeräusche reagiert, sollte allerdings unbedingt auf die Zimmerlage achten.
Einen Stern müssen wir allerdings für die Lage am Bahnhof abziehen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf die Gleise und leider fahren auch nachts regelmäßig Züge. Trotz der grundsätzlich guten Schallisolierung war das für uns deutlich wahrnehmbar und hat den Schlaf etwas beeinträchtigt. Wer einen ruhigen Schlaf möchte, sollte daher nach Möglichkeit ein Zimmer auf der anderen Seite des Hotels anfragen.

El precio es elevado, pero en la línea de los que hay en Noruega. El alojamiento no tiene aparcamiento, pero es fácil aparcar en los alrededores.

Stationnement à l’arrière de l’hôtel et pas évident à trouver. J’aurais aimé recevoir des indications précises avant mon arrivée. On doit tourner avant l’hôtel pour le trouver. Le stationnement intérieur donne accès à l’hôtel et est payant.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026The beds are comfortable and we loved the sauna. It was nice to have access to a gym as well, although it's quite cozy if more than one or two people are using it. Breakfast was good and location was excellent.
The electric blinds seemed to have a mind of their own and would go up and down at odd times, including while we were trying to sleep. The vent in the bathroom was full of dust and could use a clean. The refrigerator in our room was not cold at all and there wasn't a clear way to adjust it.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026conveniently located right at the train and bus station in this small town. A big plus are that the windows are very sound proofed - we had a room facing the tracks and you could barely hear the trains passing through.
This is an expensive hotel with many issues. Check in was chaotic but that could be the nature of being at this location so you have big groups all arriving at once. Also for a big hotel it is woefully short on elevators. Big lines were not uncommon. We were on the fifth floor and for what appears to be a newer hotel the hallways were beat up. Carpets stained and dirty. The room itself was nice with a small seating area but no coffee pot or kettle. The bathroom was a joke! Who designed that shower? Good luck not getting everything wet especially on the counter. Also the sink faucet would automatically lower the water volume. Finally the sink drain was such a poor deign that it backed up easily. A new and confusing feature that we first encountered here was the door to the room doesn't automatically lock when you leave unless you swipe your room key. It will lock after two minutes??? We saw this later on this trip but at least that hotel had clear instructions on the door warning you of this "helpful" feature. The breakfast buffet was large and with a good selection but the cleanup staff could not keep up with the peak tourist crowd

There is a sauna with a view of the lake and has access to a balcony that overlooks the lake. Room was spacious, comfortable, quiet. Good breakfast. Good location for walking in the town and the paths around the lake.
Room furniture is barebones.

La recepción, nada amigables, además te hacen poner una tarjeta como garantía y eso no lo explica al momento de hacer la reserva... Le falta por lo menos una cafetera o algo para calentar agua para té o café. Las habitaciones son demasiado pequeñas. No tienen calentón en el.baño y el baño es muy pequeño.

Make sure all chromecasts work in the rooms provided. Had connectivity issues for my Trip. Made the issue known then someone came and looked at it. They didn’t test it properly because it was the exact same issue as before. ( I described the issue in detail and how to fix it) Minor issue but would’ve been nice to put on a movie after my hikes.

Clean tidy rooms and a comfortable reception area. Try and time your check in to not clash with either a train or coach arriving, we went and had a coffee to let the queue go down. Staff on reception super helpful.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Modern, clean, large room with excellent furnishings. We were above the train tracks and the hotel was well soundproofed. The breakfast buffet provided a wide range of quality food products, both hot and cold. In the center of Voss. Just across the street from the lake and just a few blocks from the main town square, which had a nice selection of food trucks for dinner.
All was good with our stay, but there are some issues with the hotels location that may affect other's stays. The hotel is located above the bus and train stations, so depending on which side your room is located you might have train or bus noises. Also, in front of the hotel is the bus loading zone, so that area is gated and you cannot pull in front of the hotel with your vehicle. The pay parking lot for the gondola is attached to the hotel or if you are only parked in Voss between 5 PM and 9 AM you can park for free on the city streets, just beyond the hotel entrance.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Bella posizione, struttura non nuovissima ma camera accogliente e non piccola, vista lago costa di più purtroppo….la nostra si affacciava sulle rotaie del treno che, per fortuna, non disturba, la stanza è silenziosa, colazione ricca e molto buona. La cena a buffet da fare solo se si è molto stanchi e non si può uscire, il cibo non è all’altezza della spesa.
I cuscini del letto, nel 2026 non si possono sentire cuscini con la gommapiuma a pezzi dentro! In un 4*!! E poi, il phon senza beccuccio, per noi donne una vera mancanza! Ripeto, in un 4*!

Friendly Staff: Polite and welcoming service throughout your stay. Prime Location & Transit Access: A bus stop is right in front of the lobby, and the train station is just behind the building. Views & Outdoors: A beautiful lake sits directly in front of the hotel. Nearby Amenities: Plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, and supermarkets are within easy walking distance.
