Lovely peaceful location in the most beautifully converted wooden farm buildings. Our room was very comfortable, tranquil, a mix of old and new furniture. Good bathroom. The hotel is extremely comfortable, elegant, traditional and welcoming, a family run establishment. The most wonderful evening meal and delicious breakfast. Very relaxing and just perfect. Our host and staff were charming, the gardens delightful. Lovely walks, views of mountains all around, walk to the forest and the old folk museum past a field of friendly sheep and lovely houses.

The rooms and property were immaculate. Staff and ownership very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect and I would rate the dinner a ten out of ten! Would definitely return when we return to Norway.

De locatie was erg mooi en rustig.

De kamer had een klein raampje met uitzicht op de parkeerplaats. Er zaten lange zwarte haren op het plafond en de deur van de badkamer en er lagen haren naast het bed. Er was geen kledingkast en geen koffieapparaat.

Lovely property near Voss. Stayed in conjunction with the scenic train and and Alfrend was an enthusiastic greeter at the station at prompt pickup. Idyllic setting w breathtaking views. The history of the place is remarkable. Best of all, the dinner. I would say worth a trip from anywhere. Just scrumptious. The trout was done to tender moist perfection. The venison tasty and also so tender. Every bite on the plate was sublime. Huge towels, perfect mattress and bedding. Goat bells in the vicinity. Charming!

Hard to mention anything. Coffee and Breakfast may start a bit late but it worked before our train. No kettle but the nice lady kindly gave us a a carafe to carry coffee to our room.

The property and room were exactly like the photos. A cute, small and intimate family run hotel and restaurant. It was located right in Voss, just 5 minutes from the main road. The food was excellent - dinner at the restaurant at night is different every day, and breakfast is included. They use only farm grown or local ingredients for everything. It was quiet and peaceful on the property.

Only feedback would be the rooms on the one side face the parking and cars - couldn’t have our windows open at all.

Unique location with a view of sheep out the window, a bit away from the town (definitely not walkable with luggage up hill!!!!!) but It had great charm. Staff was nice.

The rooms were clean and big enough for a short stay, but the bed was not comfortable. Also, the breakfast was not great, many things were cold and dry (eggs, cold cuts), coffee was watered down (pretty terrible) and not good tasting at all!

Beautiful pastoral setting. - hills, mountain, lake. Very nice owners and staff. The restaurant on site , Flor'n, had excellent good and the servers all very nice and friendly. Lovingly renovated property with quality materials and workmanship.

Pillows need to be changed out for fresh ones. Luggage racks eeded in the room.

The location was beautiful with views across the valleys. We were warmly welcomed and settled into our very comfortable room. Dinner in the restaurant was of a very high standard and we loved that the food was from the farm or local suppliers. It was a real gastronomic treat. We enjoyed talking to the owners learning more about the local area and history. It was a very special and relaxing stay in Voss and was definitely the favourite hotel of our holiday (we stayed in 5 hotels across Norway, Denmark and Swedes).

A very special family run hotel with excellent service and first class restaurant. We were well looked after by the staff who also drove us to and from the town centre. The historic farm has been developed into an interesting hotel with comfortable rooms and welcoming areas to relax. Magnificent views from the restaurant and garden.

This is a special place, wonderful location, delicious dinner, but what made it special is the family running the property. You are treated like family, but given the privacy expected for a high end hotel.

Bei Ankunft war das Hotel nicht besetzt und somit haben wir uns im Fleischer's Motel im Ort eingemietet, an der Eingangstür stand zwar eine Telefonnummer, nur hat das nicht geklappt mit der Verbindung, alles in allem ein Reinfall hoch drei plus verlorene Zimmer Miete. Geschehen Ende Februar 26

We had a really nice stay at the hotel, albeit it was just a one night stay for our group . The host staff (owners) were super attentive in a natural, easy going way and always made sure we were taken care of without it ever feeling over the top. All the food at the hotel restaurant was locally sourced—it felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. And honestly, the scrambled eggs at breakfast were the best we’ve ever had. Overall, it just felt like a genuinely well-run, welcoming place near the slopes.

My son (9) and I were lucky to spend a long weekend at this wonderful hotel. Svein and his family’s hotel, food and hospitality were exceptional. Their food is all freshly made, meat and fish cured on the farm, delicious breakfasts and dinners in the beautifully restored 16th century farmhouses (which have been in the family for 11 generations i think). This was my son’s first trip to Norway and the family’s tales of the area really brought it to life - even down to the viking tomb near the end of their road. Being situation on the hillside brought views up and down the valley. We skied each day, and appreciated the shuttle that our hosts offered whenever we asked. Whilst other larger hotels might be a wee bit cheaper, I fully expect the experience would be incomparable to Store Ringheim. We are already checking diaries for a summer trip back.

Beautiful farm-turned-hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Our favorite part is the restaurant - the food was the best we had in Norway! The owners are so accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved visiting Store Ringheim and wish we could've stayed longer! The property is beautiful and I love the generational family history of it. The meals were all excellent and we tried Aquavit (special Norwegian liquor) here for the first time at dinner. We had a large, cozy room with a wood-burning fireplace. The owner was kind enough to give us a ride to the Voss train station in the morning. Overall wonderful experience. Thank you for hosting us!

Comfy bed, quiet location. Used the shuttle to get to and from Voss (they will pick you up and take you wherever in town as long as you give them a little notice!). Beautiful views. Very peaceful. Restaurant was delicious for dinner.

Bit far from town so spontaneous plans were hard to do. My room was below ground near the parking area, so privacy wasn't the best (couldn't have my shades opened when folks were coming and going).

Remarkable dinner.. supremely comfortable rooms. And the owners were delightful.

We had a wonderful stay at Store Ringheim Hotel og Restaurant. The room we had overlooked the hillside and was charming and very comfortable. The bathroom was wonderful and provided high end bath products. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were treated to a full rainbow overlooking the valley. We had the best meal of our 15 day trip to the Netherlands and Norway at this hotel. Everything that was served was presented in the most exceptional way and everything on the plate had a purpose in making the meal delicious.

Store Ringheim Hotell is a family run business and it shows in all the lovely detail and personal attention at every step. On the grounds of the family farm that has been in the same family for 10 generations, the landscape is idyllic and you could spend hours gazing at the mountains and valley below. While the buildings and style are quite humble, the decor is modern, handsome and very very comfortable. We stayed in a superior double and it was larger than any of the same category we’ve found elsewhere in Norway with a very comfortable bed and good pillows. We enjoyed a delicious four course dinner at their restaurant, featuring a wonderful mushroom soup made from wild mushrooms picked the day before, perfectly cooked steaks and a delectable chocolate fondant. Breakfast was typically generous in the Norwegian fashion with home made berry jams from berries picked on the farm and local mountains. I would absolutely stay again.

Bellissima struttura storica, perfettamente ristrutturata con gusto e attenzione ai dettagli. La nostra camera era in mansarda, con una vista sul verde e sul fiordo da togliere il fiato. Molto pulita, silenziosa, accogliente. Abbiamo cenato al ristorante dell’hotel ed é tutto squisito. Buona la colazione, forse mancano un po’ di prodotti (qualche yogurt in più, dei croassant), ma la qualità del cibo é comunque sempre ottima. Un grazie particolare anche ai ragazzi al ristorante, davvero attenti, gentili, preparati.

Beautiful location, wonderful staff, fantastic food! We only stayed for one night but it was a perfect stay. The rooms, decor, amenities, location, views were all exceptional. The dinner at the hotel was the best food we have had in our 5 day trip - truly outstanding by any measure.

Superbe hôtel aménagé dans une ancienne ferme au dessus de Voss , idéal pour l’exploration des fjords . Très bon dîner dans une très belle salle et excellent petit déjeuner à base de produits du jardin et des producteurs locaux. Personnel au top !

Room was cozy yet elegant, bed was comfy, bathroom was upscale, high-end bath products, and views were incredible. Dinner was exceptional - the tasting for two was pricey, but servings were a good size and wine recommendations were wonderful! Nicest staff too. This is a family owned property, and they even waited on us at breakfast. The family takes a lot of pride in their hotel - and it shows. If we come back to Voss, we will definitely stay here!

Bedroom did not have AC nor a fan. There were no mirrors in the bedroom - only in the bathroom. No refrigerator in room. Everything else was amazing!

Wonderful small boutique hotel with a special restaurant. Very comfortable accommodations and great toiletries. The dinner experience was excellent - gourmet and local farm produce. Great wine selection. We were able to have a nice walk into town from the hotel.
