Sunset House

Hosts were very nice and helpful. The view and the room were amazing. Everything was clean. Quiet neighborhood. Good location.

The sunset view was just perfect! Amazing view from the room and from the kitchen and balcony there. Spacious room, comfy bed. Kitchen well-equipped, clean and nice. There are two bathrooms, which is more convenient when many people stay there. Nice friendly host, in contact via WhatsApp. Parking is just next to the house on the road and it’s uphill, which is usual for Madeira.

Despite overall nice stay, unfortunately, I have to mention that soundproofing is not very good, while the loudest noise was coming from the door locks, which are used every time when going outside the room (also to go to bathroom). At night it might be quite disturbing, especially for light-sleepers. Also the bed linen was fragranced quite strongly, which also is not very comfortable for sensitive people. I had some troubles to sleep during the first night. But it got okay for my second night.

Die Unterkunft ist super, es ist ausgesprochen sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war freundlich und zuverlässig. Besonders toll ist der Blick auf das Meer und den Sonnenuntergang.

Vista espectacular. Habitacion muy Limpia, los baños tambien. Muchas comodidades: Terrazas, gran cocina, Neveras, zonas de relax. En general muy confortable.

En lo que se refiere a mi habitacion (las otras no son asi): - hay que salir a la calle y bajar 1 o 2 plantas para ir al baño - la habitacion no tiene ventana

Les chambres et les sanitaires sont propres. La température reste agréable même en été (bien qu'il n'y ai pas de ventilateur ou d'air conditionné). Les hôtes sont accueillants, disponibles et discrets. La vue sur la mer est sublime.

Il manque un peu d'insonorisation entre les chambres et le couloir, mais l'endroit reste assez calme et agréable. Afin d'avoir cette magnifique vue et ce calme, Sunset House est un peu excentrée.

Buena ubicación, aunque solo accesible con vehículo. Sin embargo, el atardecer se ve precioso desde la casa. También dispone de dos baños, ambos con ducha, así que no hay problema al compartirlo. Cocina bien equipada con los básicos y habitación cómoda y amplia. En general estancia bien cómoda

Propreté irréprochable La voiture est garée au pied de la maison donc pas de perte de temps à trouver une place Bref, on reviendra si possible

The personnel has been amazing :) also, the view from the balcony is incredible, unforgettable.

The bathroom is shared which is a little downside, but the guys overlooking the apartments clean it thoroughly everyday. Also, it’s stated in the reservation and the price, which is very affordable for the localization and view you are getting, reflects that accordingly.

Я был приятно удивлён буквально всем. По прибытию на место я связался с владельцем этого замечательного дома и он мне объяснил как войти в дом и какой номер нашей комнаты. Дом располагается очень удобно, практически на середине острова, что позволяет очень быстро добраться до всех интересных мест Мадейры. Из окон нашей комнаты открывался потрясающий вид на ближайшие горы и океан. В доме очень чисто и всё обустроено со вкусом. Вечером можно посидеть на лоджиях или выйти на трассу и полюбоваться закатом солнца. Хорошо оборудованная кухня. Есть всё, что может вам понадобиться. Приятно удивили мелочи, салфетки, прихватки, полотенца, губки и средства для мытья посуды. Владелец дома позаботился о наличии кофе, сахара, растительного масла и ТД. Было приятно ,когда владельца оставили на столе бананы для гостей этого дома, выращенные в их саду. В доме 2 ванных комнат и всегда есть гель для душа и жидкое мыло для умывания. Кому надо--есть фен. В доме всегда тихо. В принципе как и мы, все гости этого чудного дома приехали на остров Мадейра, чтобы гулять и наслаждаться красотой природы этого волшебного острова, поэтому в течении дня дом пуст, так как все уезжают рано а возвращаются затемно. Машину мы оставляли на дороге около дома. Движение по дороге совсем не большое, поэтому безопасно и тихо. Работник, который постоянно присутствует в доме, постоянно интересовался, всё ли нормально, нужно ли что. В общем , мы в восторге и всем рекомендуем. Мы отдыхали в начале мая и всё было супер. Я слышал что во многих домах Испании и Португалии нет отопления-климат позволяет. Возможно что в зимний период будет прохладно, хотя возможно что в доме есть отопление Это надо учитывать и уточнять у владельца

Great location, amazing views. Edgar and Arlindo super friendly, they clean bathrooms and kitchen daily. Sharing two bathrooms with 3 other rooms was not a problem at all. Great rooftop terrace, easy parking right on the road. Very good value for the cost.

Our room constantly had to be aired out as it had a stale smell, and the room doors weren't very sound proof.

Nous sommes arrivés en pleine tempête. Il faisait froid et l'eau chaude n'a pas tenue pour deux. Il manquait également une couverture supplémentaire ou un chauffage d appoint. Je l'ai signifié à l'hôte qui a dû faire le nécessaire depuis.

The most amazing place we stayed in all of Madeira. Amazing, sunny part of the island. The view incredible. The staff was so nice and accommodating. My room and bathroom was so nice and always super clean. The shower was amazing and they had nice cosmetics like shampoo conditioner and body wash to use! I wish I had stayed here all days of my trip.

L’endroit est très propre et offre vue imprenable sur Calheta et ses couchers de soleil. De plus, il y a une grande cuisine où il est possible de se faire à manger. Il fait généralement très beau à Calheta et c’est un bon endroit où être basé pour aller se balader un peu partout sur l’île de Madère.

The lovely smiley host, very clean and the comfortable bed is amazing. What I liked very well is that we were several solo travellers and that we all were sitting at the kitchen table.

Everything was great. This was my second time in Madeira and my second time staying in this apartment. I recommend it to everyone. The hosts are very kind and always help when needed. The house is very clean and smells nice. There is a good place to park the car. I will come back here again for sure. Greetings to Arlindo and Edgar. Thank you for your help. Die Unterkunft ist super sauber und wurde glaube ich mehrmals am Tag geputzt. Vor allem die Küche ist genial und wird immer sauber gehalten. Die Lage mit der Aussicht ist unbeschreiblich schön. Die Kommunikation mit Edgar verlief stets einwandfrei.

Obwohl Edgar die Bewohner darauf hinweist, die Türen nicht zu knallen, passiert es trotzdem und die Zimmer sind relativ hellhörig.

Bardzo polecam to miejsce, dobra lokalizacja z pięknym widokiem na ocean. W obiekcie nic nie brakuje, wszystko bardzo dobrze wyposażone, rozległe balkony, taras na dachu, niesamowita atmosfera. Fajnie, że była możliwość poczęstowania się za darmo warzywami w kuchni. Gospodarz był bardzo miły i pomocny :)

L'emplacement est magnifique. Petit bémol, il n'y a pas de places de parking, il faut donc se garer sur la route ( mais c'est courant à Madère ). Le mobilier et les équipements a disposition permettent de profiter d'un confort exceptionnel !

Amazing view! Incredibly clean, comfortable, perfectly equipped kitchen and bathroom. If you travel just with backpack, there are spices, salt , oil,….. in the kitchen, shampoo, conditioner and even razors in bathroom 😃. And so so so nice landlords🥰🥰🥰. I can just recommend

It was pleasure staying at Sunset house. As seen from the pictures the view is amazing! Beds are really comfortable, and the bathrooms and kitchen is always clean. Kitchen is big and is equiped with all kinds of stuff, and the best part is fresh fruit from the garden :) Host are so kind and nice and always there to help. Also there was 2 parking spaces in garage, but you can also leave car in front of the house. Location is great, half an hour drive from Funchal, but it is closer to the cliffs to the west which was my favourite part of the island. Such a pleasant accomodation :)

The room we stayed in was a quite humid. Had to air out the room every day for some hours. Other than that, amazing!

Beautiful view, very clean super sweet owners & cute cat. Big kitchen nice terrace more than value for money cheap asf for what you get. Always hot shower beautiful facilities what more do you need high up top very nice. I would pay double would recommend 11/10.

Having people using the shower next door(our room was next to the bathroom) in the middle of the night. When using the balcony you walk past the open door of other guests with people laying in bed. They were cool with it but maybe create a seperate door for this room?

The staff was soo friendly, and the location is stunning. Beautiful sunsets and you can reach most spots on the Island in like 1 hour or less. The beds were really comfortable. 10/10 experience, would totaly recommend staying there

The location and ocean views were truly exceptional. We didn't really enjoy our accommodations as we arrived in the evening and left early in the morning, which is a shame. I can imagine a nice breakfast there with a view. We didn't even see the guests staying there, it's a quiet and pleasant accommodation. We did the check in ourselves based on the instructions, which were very original and also in the form of a video. Super idea. I would definitely recommend the accommodation, parking is free on the side of the road as is customary in Madeira.

I've had enough of everything, doing the check in myself suits me and it saves time which is rewarding. I have experienced both bad communication and worse accommodation in other countries so I rate this accommodation as very good and would definitely recommend it.

It’s not the property we didn’t like, it’s the humidity that made it a bit uncomfortable, because the bed sheets were a little wet, even our clothes got wet in the wardrobe.. but we got used to it 🙈 We had a shared bathroom with 3 other rooms, but the bathroom was cleaned every day and we didn’t feel uncomfortable about sharing it.

Amazing house with a stunning view especially from terrace and kitchen. Sunsets are trully beautiful from this place and overall views are great on the valley and village below. Kind ovner, warm welcome, equipped kitchen(tea, coffee, fresh eggs etc).

The location of the house is perfect. You can park your car inside the garage or outside in the street.

We had such a pleasant stay! They kitchen is very well equipped with fresh eggs daily to use, the beds are super comfortable, the rooftop is nice, we were able to wash our clothes, the bathrooms have really good water pressure and the house is super clean! There is no more we would wish for. We would come back anytime!

The views are INCREDIBLE from the wrap around porch on the second level and the rooftop terrace, so plan to be at the house for sunset sometimes. The price is extremely affordable compared to other places on the island, and it is convenient with easily accessible parking along the street. They have eggs from the chickens on the property available for guests, and the kitchen for guests is large with a fridge and has items available for cooking. Oh, and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful; they give great advice about adventuring on the island.
