Holiday Inn Shenzhen Donghua by IHG

Loved the buffet breakfast. It was one of the best ive had at a Holiday Inn. Very friendly staff.

It was all good. The room was a little dated.

Food

The rooms were nice and as shown in the pictures. The price was good compared to other similar hotel brands in the area but when we got there it was evident why.

The hotel was old, the staff were really not what you are used to for a brand like Holiday Inn. I asked the concierge to book us a taxi to the indoor ski centre. He hadn't heard of it and instead of searching for the address or asking a colleague, he asked me to give him the address in Chinese myself. I can't read or write Chinese. Then the front desk staff tried to help by telling him where it was and ended up scolding him in front of me. It was so unprofessional. The hotel also says it has an indoor swimming pool. Turns out it's in a nearby gym that's not even part of a the hotel. We weren't given proper directions to get there and walked around the hotel for about 20 min only to find out we needed to go out the back entrance of the hotel, next to the rubbish bin centre of the hotel, and walk across an open air car park. In our bathrobe and swimsuits and bedroom slippers. When we finally got there we were allowed in and jumped into the pool only to be ejected because we weren't wearing swimming caps (what tourist knows to bring one???). The life guards were nice enough to lend me a used one but I looked inside and it was mouldy. I do not recommend this hotel for a tourist who is used to a standard tourist class hotel. I would have paid just $50 more for the Westin if I'd known. Awful.

Завтрак был всегда на высоте- свежие продукты, вкусно, большой выбор. Дочь каждое утро ела свежесваренную лапшу - очень вкусно! Вид из окна достоин отдельного упоминания. У нас был высокий этаж, поэтому каждый вечер мы сидели у окна и смотрели на огни города, освещающие темные улицы- просто великолепно.

Во время нашего пребывания не работал бассейн- немного жаль, но не критично.

いつまで経ってもウォッシュレットのトイレにならない！深圳福永や東莞のホテルでも設置されている。即刻導入すべきだ！

とにかく便利な場所

いつまで経ってもウォッシュレット便器にしてくれない。何回も泊まっているが、ホテル内で何も議論されないのか？ シャワーの頭が取れた。トイレやシャワーといった基本的な設備への投資は，真剣に考えてもらいたい。古いホテルでも必要な所に金をかけて顧客満足度を上げているホテルはたくさん有るが、このホテルはその点、全然できていない。

場所

いつまで経っても、トイレがウォッシュレットにならない。エレベーターも古くて遅くてなかなか来ない、即刻設備更新が必要だ！ウォッシュレットも採用しないし設備の改善も無いのにどんどん値上げだけしている！

The breakfast was great and a good selection of all both Asian and Western foods. The fruit had a great variety and there were no queues to get a table.

The coffee dispenser only gave a very small cup and the setting was on American but all in all nothing else

There was a mix up with rooms with twin beds, which Booking.com allowed me to book that were not available when we got to the hotel resulting in us having to book another room at 200 CNY per night staying there for 3 nights. The other serious problem was that I was in the bathroom and the room door opened and a man walked in. I had to quickly brace myself against the door as I did not know who it was. After he closed the front door, I said to him to wait. When I got my clothes on he told me he was given this room. I followed him to reception to sort out this issue to find I had not been properly allocated this room when we checked in. I was then asked by the man at the desk to show my passport, which I refused as I had shown this for the other 2 rooms I had booked. He then cancelled the other man's card and gave him another room. When I then returned to my room, I found he had cancelled my room keys also, so I was unable to get into my room. Went back to reception and had to wait about 15 mins whilst he argued with other customers before I could get my cards reactivated. He apologised, but I was very angry about this mix-up and feeling unsafe which resulted in me putting the chain on everytime I entered the room. This does not give a good impression of Holiday Inn brand and I am unsure if I will stay in one again.

i had booked for 3 guests and chosen option for breakfast included.. but breakfast was included only for 2 guests and not 3 which i was not aware and not expecting. i had to pay for additional breakfast at hotel.

Location is good. Breakfast was excelent. Some international food is availibe.

Aircon is very noisy. Fortunatelly it was not very hot at night and I was able to sleep sleep without aircon. There is no iron but should be. Also some smell from aircon. Hotel looks a bit old.

I stayed in this hotel for one week in total. It is simply the best hotel. Great location, the metro Line #9 is just next to the hotel. The metro lines #11 (to the airport) and #12 are within walking distance. Breakfast is a feast, including tons of both Chinese and western food. Room is clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. The lobby is like a palace. Hotel staff are very kind. A lot of good restaurants are close by. This is going to be my home hotel every time I visit Shen Zhen.

設備はそれなりに古く、老朽化が進んでいますが 清掃は行き届いています。 ホテルの周りには、日本食屋を含む多くの飲食店がありますので食事に困ることはありません。 朝食は、可もなく不可もなく。 もう少し安価なら、また利用したいです。

While this is a 20 year old hotel, the condition is excellent and exactly what you expect from a 4 star property. The staff are genuinely caring and helpful, and the management included. And the breakfast is absolutely amazing. I come to Shenzhen often and this will now be my go to hotel. There’s an overwhelming choice of dining and shopping and other services within walking distance. The place is quiet and clean and a real gem.

Hotel is close to many different sites for shopping amd restaurants. Convenient and walking distance to many local shops, pharmacies and stores.

Downtown is close enough to the airport and there are plenty of things to do in the area.

We were greeted by staff and carried our luggage to our room. Any questions that we had, the staff had answers for us. They are cuties and helpful. We enjoyed talking to them for the best customer service the provided.
