I would have liked to have had a fridge in the room. Our room was 102 which is a disabled room and perfect however for those who are diabetic need a fridge for the insulin.

The staff were out of this world. Polite, very helpful and welcoming to us. They went well beyond the extra mile for us. They even treated our old Staffie Max like a little prince. I think he would like to have stayed there instead of coming home lol. I think that the staff members who dealt with us, Eileen, Mel, Elliot and Lauren are a credit to the company and whatever they are paid...it aint enough. Our heartfelt thanks to them all.

I’ve stayed a couple of times. Each time there have been other guests having serious arguments outside at night, which is disturbing. The staff are great but the clientele is really rough. (Possibly from the wedding venue?)

Nice big room albeit a little space and comfortable large bed. . Good size bathroom. TV and channel choice was brilliant. Good tea and coffee facilities and nice toiletries.

Breakfast was abysmal & poor quality. Staff disorganised. The staff did not replace hot food dishes quickly enough. At one stage, there was no bread, no bacon and just two fried eggs. Our room no 157 was difficult to locate. It was next to room 118!!!!! No safe or robes in the room and sink tap would not move between hot and cold.

Check in was brilliant thanks to Annette. She explained everything we needed to know for our stay. The reception area was really nice. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean with a nice ensuite bathroom. We enjoyed a drink in the pleasant bar area and on the lovely terrace outside. The leisure facilities were very good and well maintained with friendly helpful staff. Evening dinner and breakfast were really enjoyable with a good range of food available. All of the staff were a pleasure to deal with and we had a very pleasant stay. We look forward to returning.

The lovely wooded outdoor areas and spacious lobby; clean,comfortable and homely. Such a leg friendly atmosphere which is always refreshing. The main thing that really stood out for us has to be the staff - so friendly, welcoming and all were especially keen to help wherever possible without needing to even be asked.

Only that I struggled with the bathroom as I have mobility issues - next time I would book an accessible room that’s all.

The staff!!! I had a really enjoyable stay but the staff made it even more enjoyable. I’m never caught her name but the lady working reception the evenings was exceptional. Nothing was too much bother and she was just friendly and kind.

I think I got unlucky and there was events on and as it was so warm everyone was outside just below my room so it was noisy but the issue was resolved quickly when I asked to change rooms one night!

Lovely reception staff, very welcoming. Dog friendly with a little area too ☺️ The cleaning staff put lovely birthday wishes in our room it was really kind & a nice surprise.

Food is a bit expensive & although lots of choice the breakfast wasn’t great.

The room that was given to us had big mark on the ceiling made son scared. However, the lady at reception was really nice she changed straight away.

Upon arrival we had a room upgrade. There were a a couple of evening events taking place which may have caused us a disturbance so the receptionist moved us to a room away from the events in a quiet area of the hotel. That's customer service! Staff were friendly and helpful, restaurant food and service was good, room was a good size and clean, good in-room facilities, bed was comfortable, bathroom clean and having aircon was a bonus as we stayed when the UK was experiencing sunny hot weather.

Prices of drinks are unbelievableeeeeeely high. And they water down the spirits 😂 my wife had 18 vodka drinks and was barely tipsy. Usually takes her about 4 to be boxed.

Receptionist was extremely friendly on arrival (late in the evening) and lovely with the children The choice of picking a toy really made it for the kids, wish more hotels did this! Rooms were a really good size and so was the bed It was also a lovely touch that they left some treats and dog bowls with a bed for the dog Overall I was really impressed

I liked that it had air conditioning and additional activities available on site. The breakfast in the morning was also good

It was extremely hot, so i specifically booked for the air con and poo for rest bitel with my daughter. However, on arrival the air con wasn't on and room was very uncomfortable, taking a long time to cool down. Additionally, on arrival i was told kids were not allowed to use the pool in evening or morning vefore school - these limitations were not clearly signposted when booking, otherwise i would have chosen a different option.

Staff were very friendly and polite. We did need to move rooms but that was no problem.

The pool water was murky, couldn't see underwater with goggles on so im thinking it was the chemicals were off. Hot tub was out of order on our second day.

Very shabby rundown room, years of built up stains in the u-bend, bathroom door was beaten up and rotting through shower leaks, bathroom door handle held together only by the rust that had accumulated, bathroom mirrors looked 50 years old with rust around all edges. Room 105 if management read this...! Oh and if you stay here, go out somewhere for dinner unless you enjoy microwaved food. I wouldnt normally leave a bad review for a hotel that is doing the best they can and charging the appropriate room rate, but this is Holiday Inn chain and I paid £170 for one night.

Sausages at the breakfast a tiny bit dry. Glasses for the juice at breakfast too small. Shower head was gross, needs replacing.

I am absolutely livid about my stay here, it was a very special occasion marking my brothers death anniversary. My daughter and myself were trapped in a tiny lift with another guest for over 20 minutes. My daughter was traumatised. When staff were approached they said “we can’t control the lifts” I was late for the family meal. The iron didnt work, when I tried to call reception…. The phone didn’t work. The shower was absolutely disgusting with dirt and pubic hairs. (I have taken pictures) I wouldlike a full refund for my stay here or I shall be reporting the holiday inn and booking.com to trading standards. This was an extremely unpleasant stay at a very emotional time for my daughter and myself!!!!

Stayed on 26 may to Attend funeral next day with my partner.stayed in room 117. room was clean it was raining that night.broken guttring out side our window.noise of gushing water kept us awake.checked out early next morning.reported it to receptionist.they said they report it to maintenance.had to go for sleep in car after funeral because we were so tired after disturbed sleep before driving back to Glasgow.Theresa McKenna.

Air conditioning and coffee machine working reported and staff just said they would report it never slept all night as to hot spoke to IHG and all they gave me was a 1000 reward points which works out about £6 wow

Everything about the hotel was fine other than allowing dogs to stay, there must have been a dog in the room we stayed in at some point. Although the room was spotlessly clean it still triggered my asthma off.

The fact that it was so much more expensive just because it was a bank holiday, we got exactly the same package as we would have if we was traveling a few days later but had to pay much more.

Strange arrangement of furniture in entrance lobby had an unwelcoming feel which gives the wrong impression as the staff are very welcoming. A lot of the upholstered furniture, particularly in the bar area, is tired and needs a good clean. Would be so easy to remedy and would elevate the whole atmosphere.

Toilet door needed repainted badly chipped,and ceiling badly marked with possible watermarks, the outside area had the potential to be a terrific addition but was greatly let down by lack of maintainance,due too not managing the bird droppings that were ingrained into garden furniture, area slow to be cleaned up after customer use ,

We booked the Manor Suite for our wedding reception. From the very start of the booking process to the morning after the wedding the team were just fantastic. The events team were always on hand to answer any questions and nothing was to much for them. The reception team were super friendly and again couldn't do enough to help us. We booked the bridal suite which was huge and perfect for what we needed. Lovely touch was coming back after our wedding ceremony and having a lovely heart and petals on the bed. We were also allowed to bring our dog for photos which was perfect and really made the day extra special to have him involved. Food was also delicious. We had afternoon tea and then a buffet in the evening, all of our guests were very happy with the food and there was soo much of it. I would highly recommend for any events.

The back of the en suite door was completely blown out due to water ingress, and it created a very poor impression. The lift interior was very scruffy with torn paper, etc. The corridor outside the rooms grew progressively colder as one moved farther along the building, until it was quite chilly near the emergency exit.

Really disappointed with the cream tea here. We had the spar package with the facial and tea. This was a birthday treat for my daughter and wished I’d gone somewhere else. Before the hotel was done out my husband and I came here and couldn’t fault it so thought come back. The stand the sandwiches came out on, if you can call them sandwiches was broken. Brown lettuce, order wrong, could see where they had made the wonky cut sandwiches with pressed finger marks on bread. The bread was dry and stale and no butter for the scone also the cream was awful. Don’t visit this place if you’re expecting a well presented freshly made tea. Very very horrible. Mrs B

My room had an infestation of small flies that appeared to be living mostly in the curtains. After a shower and having dinner I returned to the room to find the shower cubicle littered with dead flies. Despite informing reception and being assured someone would go and assess the situation and at least take some fly spray maintenance did not attend until the following morning. There were no other rooms available in the hotel so I spent an hour before I went to sleep, swatting flies and killing around 30. I was also bitten twice, once on the chest and once on the wrist. I contacted the IHG customer support unit they said as the matter was addressed (by me) during my stay, they would no offer any compensation only a goodwill gesture of 5000 points on my account, enough to get me a £5 discount on a hotel room. Disappointed is not the world and I will be suggesting to my company that we do not attend that venue again.
