Awesome
Top of line stay experience with luxury accomodations
Restaurant service v. Poor
Great place to stay and play golf. Everyone there will treat you like a VIP. Spend the money and enjoy St. Andrews properly.
Everything was perfect!
Excellent hotel. Overlooking the golf course. Food at the hotel was very good.
This was AMAZING. The room was excellent and the service even better. Would highly recommend.
Everything was perfect. The staff is awesome and the accommodations were perfect
The best part of the Old Course hotel, outside of the view and convenience, was David M. (Concierge)! He was so unbelievably helpful. He knew all the ins and outs of the area and resort. He went above and beyond to help me and my family. He made our trip and the resort 5/5 stars! We will definitely be back because of him!
This property is a cut above. Second time I have been there. Service is wonderful.
Awesome!
Will definitely return
Everything was beautiful and ALL staff were so kind and accommodating.
This is such a comfortable and luxurious hotel. I have no regrets! The spa is great! And I only wish I had learned about the fitness schedule sooner. We were there for 4 days. It was so comfortable. The rooms got dark at night. Cool and air conditioned. Great service. Amazing breakfast. Amazing to eat dinner and watch the golfers go by! And then get to Be some of them ourselves!!🩷❤️
This hotel has it all -- perfect location overlooking the Old Course, excellent staff, great restaurants, clean and spacious rooms, comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, etc. We loved it and wish we could have stayed longer!
Nice welcome gift of fruit, candy and a personal card with both still and sparkling water complimentary. Great view from breakfast room and complete Scottish breakfast. And location location location
This hotel is such a gem, the only thing making it even better is the incredible room and view we had! The entire staff was more than welcoming, helpful, and kind. We will be talking about this stay for years to come! Thank you all, you made this girl fall in love with St. Andrews!
Nice hotel, not quaint or Scottish, but nice. I am not sure if they used any insulation between rooms as we could hear the neighbors conversations quite well and the TV from about 4 rooms down.
We had a great experience from the moment we entered the building. Every single member of staff that we interacted with was actively looking to make our stay comfortable and convenient. The view from our room was world class, as was the shower. Like bathing under a waterfall.
We had an amazing stay at The Old Course Hotel. Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Great, friendly, welcoming staff. My one issue- Just beware when booking. We booked the Eden King Room and the bed was clearly a Queen. The staff kept insisting it was a “UK King” I’ve traveled all over the UK and have never heard of such a thing. A King Bed is a King Bed. A Queen Bed is a Queen Bed.
Every staff member spoke to us every time we passed in the hall or met under some other circumstance. They were always pleasant. Always with a smile and ready to assist. They also went out of their way to find us a table with a view when it would have been easier to give us an interior table.
Our 😏2 night stay was lovely. The hotel is very modern and super clean. Bed was very comfortable and the room was quite spacious. Great shower. Golf course view beautiful.
Fabulous location next The Old Course at St. Andrews
There is a lovely experience one receives as you enter The OLD COURSE HOTEL, St. Andrews. It is indeed a 5 star luxury establishment. LADY LFM
Fantastic hotel and grounds. Remarkable golf experience
Lovely hotel that is well positioned, was lucky to get upgrade to a suite overlooking the golf course with views of the town and sea.
amazing property in every way , for offseason, service was great
What an amazing place. Thank you to the staff for all your hard work.
Friendly staff. Quick and early check in. Room lovely.
Really lovely stay in a great hotel. Friendly, professional and welcoming staff. Hope to come back soon.
One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at, everything was perfect. Friendly helpful staff and the room was stunning. Cant wait to return!
The staff at the Old Course go above and beyond. We were staying to celebrate the anniversary of our engagement, when we also stayed here. On both occasions the staff have gone out of their way to make each weekend truly special. The hotel itself is beautiful with great facilities and an unrivalled location. I also appreciate that they have gluten free bread meaning the breakfast has several gluten free options - in future it would be good if these options were even more extensive (e.g gf granola or pancakes/french toast etc.)
Lovely room lots of space. Nice bathroom . friendly staff but a really uncomfortable bed
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The facilities were fantastic. The breakfast was lovely. Hotel is a very short walk from the town centres three main streets. Overall a fantastic stay.
Beautiful hotel and our room had a fantastic view. Was only there for an overnight but would definitely come for a longer stay next time
Reception staff were 1st class especially Ailley.
Beautifully located with excellent amenities and superior service delivered in a very attentive and personalized manner
Absolutely amazing weekend. Felt looked after straight away from the check in staff, this carried on with each area we were in, including the spa and The Jigger Inn. The hotel is so well looked after, the bedroom was clean and comfortable with great views of the golf courses.
Provided our requests for my birthday wishes; great fairways views and golf experience. Great experience with Malcolm in pro shop.
What a lovely experience, superb location, and wonderful service
Warm and friendly greeting on arrival our room had been upgraded to give us a wonderful view over the 17th hole and views t over Firth of Tay and up the Angus coast. Awoke to a fantastic view of the Old Course covered in frost and amazing sunrise
Absolutely astonishing place to relax, take in the history of St Andrews. The Old Course mystique abounds.
Amazing staff - all very friendly.
Overall excellent stay, maybe some parts of the room were needing a bit of TLC. However, cannot fault the staff at all, brilliant service and very accommodating.
Hotel was nice but we asked for a course view room. We could see the grass but never expected to be ground floor. It was extremely disappointing as this was my husbands 60th birthday and I wanted it to be special. We had people walking by our windows randomly several times a day due to being on the ground floor. The room was also very separate from the rest of the hotel down the hallway to the conference rooms. For the price we paid for a view of the course, had I known I would have stayed elsewhere and saved myself the disappointment and cost.
Amazing resort with very comfortable standard rooms! Location to course is amazing. Overall a really enjoyable, but rather expensive, stay! Would go again!
Love this hotel but felt it lacked attention to detail this time. Little things... like not changing the clocks to match the time change and forgetting to bring coffee when ordered
The Old Course Hotel was superb as always.
Unbelievable beautiful, staff was extremely friendly and helpful!! I would highly recommend the Old Course Hotel!!!
Friendly professional staff throughout the team.
Property is beautiful. check in time was a bit delayed.
Fantastic. Worth the money.
Terrible customer services. Definitely wouldn’t return.
We absolutely loved our stay here. Our room opened up onto the 17th tee which for my partner was really a thrill as he is such a golf enthusiast. It is absolutely beautiful and in an iconic setting.
Best place to stay in St Andrews if you are there for golf!
Was fantastic
An iconic hotel at which the service and features are first rate. Staying there did not help with the ballot entry to play.
Can't wait to go back! Lovely room looking over the golf course. The rooms had comfy beds and wonderful showers. Such a lovely stay. We will be visiting here again.
Once in a lifetime experience! Do it, if you can!
It was just an amazing hotel, with tons of history.
Classy and elegant. Very expensive but it’s St Andrews - get used to it 👍
Excellent steak and wine by the glass was uncommonly superior, good service and the breakfast was great. The king bed was not a standard king
The hotel has plenty of parking which is great the service from staff was excellent they couldn’t do enough for you there is so many different options for eating in the hotel with prices that are reasonable for where you are there was only one thing that I was angry about was there was a charity ball event on and we had to go up in the lift walk a while through the hotel take another lift down and then walk through the hotel again to get to our room I have heart problems and I would have preferred if we had been told about the charity ball being on and I would have booked for the week later
Overall great place to stay and close to golf and other attractions. My only issue was beds are hard and bathroom sinks drain slowly.
The friendly, energetic staff. The rooms were very comfortable.
Beautiful!!!! Perfect!!!!
This was exactly what one would expect in a five star hotel....the rooms are handsomely appointed and supremely comfortable. The staff was amazing....helpful, informative and kind. We loved our stay, the town is walkable from the hotel and our room looked right out at the Old Course....and the North Sea beyond....simply magical.
Top hotel, great view from room and breakfast was amazing. Bed was comfy and slept very well. Staff helpful and pleasant. Great location for walking to main town in a few minutes.
We love this hotel we feel welcome & staff are all so lovely
One of the best places in the world we stay at. Excellent staff, facilities, cleanliness & atmosphere…see you next year 😁😁
Friendly staff, great location with fabulous views, they added some nice touches for my birthday celebration
We loved our stay. The room was clean and spacious and the turn down service was a lovely touch. The evening meal, Swilcan, was delicious. Steak cooked to perfection! The bed was huge and so comfortable. The spa was phenomenal- we loved the thermal suite. Again, the breakfast was also fantastic- wonderful variety and spectacular views. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning!
We had an overnight stay and it was brilliant. Beautiful and comfortable room and a breakfast setting to die for.
Leisure facilities were unavailable. Email from hotel had incorrect information and spa receptionist was rude and unhelpful.
Amazing from start to finish
Really enjoyed my stay, the spa facilities were excellent, my room was lovely with nice touches like the nespresso coffee machine.
The hotel staff was awesome!
Fantastic stay- incredibly welcoming staff, varied and high quality offering across the hotel, great pool and spa. The food could have been better (both room service and breakfast) but overall a great experience.
Unbelievable experience at the Old Course Hotel! Planned this trip for my girlfriend’s birthday and they made the weekend so special for us. Loved the hotel, the facilities, near proximity to all amenities and catering offered. Will 100% be back.
Very polite and helpful staff in this extraordinary 5 star hotel.
Its location can’t be beat. Unique facility on the Old Course and its seaside close to St, Andrews.
Noisey drunk people in hallways at 2:00 in the morning.
More excellent than we could have dreamed! Celebrating with a trip for our 35th wedding anniversary. The hotel staff was impeccable.
Had a great stay!
Literally everything about this hotel is perfect! Everyone has to experience this wonderful experience! I will be back to stay again!!
Loved all this property had to offer
The home of Golf. The experience was wonderful..
Awesome experience. Quite costly!
This property didn’t disappoint. Historic hotel with great views of the most famous golf course in the world. Staff was amazing. Rooms where clean and well appointed. Spa was marvelous and the food was good (it’s British food). Walking distance to town and to golf. Gold concierge was super helpful. Highly recommend.
Magical place to stay for golfers! While we didn’t golf, we walked the course and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast overlooking the 17th hole
the hotel is excelent as is the staff. I think itis the best place to stay in St.Andrew.
The Old Course Hotel is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at!!! 😁
Exceeded expectations on all accounts!!
Lovely hotel in great location. Fantastic view from bar and restaurant. Very nice spa.
You’re in Golf Mecca overlooking the 17th Hole on the The Old Course. You’re drinking Whisky and gain good advice from the Road Hole Pub Manager (Paul). You then start to eat amazing food with the same view. Life could be more perfect. Rooms where spacious with nice soft linen and extremely comfortable bed. The shower, with it three heads, was also a dream. I should have stayed a few more night.
From being welcomed by Tom to help with the luggage to the great service at the restaurants and bars. It was an amazing break spilt between working and RnR. The SPA is a wonderful experience and worth a visit. Our room was amazing. The Kohler bathrooms are second to none. Thank you to all the team
Amazing stay at Old Course hotel. Hotel upgraded our room and gave us champagne and canapés for my husbands 65th birthday. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order
Old world charm ! Really luxurious from the concierge dresses in tails and the immaculate service in their dining rooms to the decor in the bar and the amenities in the spa! Highly recommend whether you golf or not!
Second visit to OCH and whilst the hotel is stunning and staff all very good was left a bit frustrated and disappointed by the restrictions imposed on us to use the Spa. This was not in the Expedia booking rules and meant we only had 45 mins to enjoy the Spa during our visit.
We found the Old Course to be very welcoming to us with our two small dogs. Beware however when booking indirectly that you need to choose a room which is dog friendly (not shown on Hotels.com) so we had to pay an addition £50 per night to upgrade the room plus £70 per night for the two dogs. It was a lot extra onto the booking, an extra £240 on top of the £560 for 2 nights B&B. I only mention costs as it’s relevant to the quality of stay. The room was very comfortable and had doors opening to a garden area which was convenient with the dogs. I have mixed feelings about the room however. Whilst I’d paid a premium for a nicer room, because it’s used for pets the carpet is fairly old. The beautiful velvet cushion on the bed also had questionable stains. So whilst it made me more relaxed about the dogs being in the room I did feel I’d spent a lot for a room that was definitely of a poorer standard than when I’ve stayed previously. A dog bed and one toy as well as dog treats were a nice touch - it’s a shame there was just one toy between the two dogs. As ever we were made to feel comfortable and welcome by staff. The breakfasts were lovely too. I would not recommend Jigger Inn however. The starters were all lovely but the main meals were not great. The sticky toffee pudding was wonderful and made up for the mains. Overall I think there are much better places to eat close by. So overall it was a very nice stay but the cost did not match up to the experience.
