The Oberoi, Lombok

Possibly the best hotel experience we'e ever had. The location is stunning. There's plenty of space to enjoy the beachfront or the pool, with amenities and activities galore. We took advantage of the snorkeling and sunset boat trips, which we'll cherish the memories forever. The staff are very polite and accommodating, and tje service they provide is excellent. We were particularly impressed with the small attention to detail from housekeeping, who provided us with a lens cleaning kit knowing we had brought several cameras. A very nice touch. Would like to call out Anggy and Ali who treated us very well during the afternoon teas and at dinner. A very special place. Will be back for sure!

The breakfast choice was amazing and location overlooking the sea beautiful. The staff were second to none everything was perfect. We travel once a month and this was once of the most gorgeous hotels we have stayed in, we have already recommended the resort to family and friends.

Absolutely stunning resort! Attention to details, very well trained stuff, delicious food, beautiful rooms…. Special thanks to our snorkelling organisers Rodin and Katut ( hope o spelled their names correctly). Nyoman who look after us at the restaurants was amazing! Can’t fault anything! 6+* resort!

Very friendly accommodating staff & service, beautiful spacious pool villa with 2 terraces overlooking the lawn and see towards sunset over the Gili Islands. Great blend of food and drinks. Beautiful corals and fish for snorkeling in front of the rocky hotel beach (probably 100 m from the shore). Beautiful landscape

5 o'clock prayer wake up (but they provide earplugs that work) ... the birds at 6 am are much more pleasant. No direkt access to the continued crescent beach of the bay. Small but very well equipped gym - crowded if there are more than 3 people.

I’d like to start by saying that all of the staff here were very welcoming, friendly and hospitable at all times. Sayu in particular made our stay extra memorable. It’s a beautiful resort and grounds with excellent food (particularly breakfast) and the beach is fantastic. Our villa with pool was well appointed and a very relaxing place to be. The cocktails were fantastic. We loved our private charter to the gili islands and would recommend this wholeheartedly. The beach equipment is great with SUP, kayaks, snorkels, fins etc all available. Massages were good and bed was comfortable. We’d highly recommend getting a taxi (20 min) to Warung Ehsan at Nipah beach for the sunset and seafood - genuinely incredible. Tip - use the bluebird app for local taxis.

This is a 5* resort but could do with a few small (achievable) improvements. Overall we would recommend it to other honeymooners with a few suggestions to management: - consistency is lacking. Housekeeping was patchy/erratic eg minibar not refreshed, dirty glasses, random additions/changes by the day. It was all very friendly, but lacked polish. - apart from Sayu, service felt impersonal throughout with very few other staff remembering our room number, names, regular orders (it was always Bintang!) despite us staying for 7 nights. We would have ordered more if they had remembered! - the beach club nearby pumped out loud music on Friday and Saturday nights and I was made to feel crazy for complaining about it still going on late at night - service was slow/inconsistent despite the number of staff eg to get water/drinks - we stayed for 7 nights and there were 3 themed buffets - 2 were Indian and one fish bbq. It was a shame that the Indonesian night was the day we checked out! Better planning could improve variety here. The buffets were extremely expensive - the nightly music/entertainment was loud and repetitive - lots of children/families - more thought could be given to keep honeymooning couples away from screaming kids. To give context, everyone is encouraged to book for dinner and there’s plenty of tables so this is easy to achieve and would really improve the atmosphere - £8 fizzy water (local not imported) is insane, as are the laundry prices!

One of the most amazing properties we have ever been to. rolling Green meadows, thoughtfully designed pool area, gorgeous sea views. Spacious villas, great food. Very close to Gili island - 15 mins on boat ride. Staff is outstanding

The beach itself is coral sand which means you cant swim in the shallow water or sit on the sand. Being so close to Gili meno somewhat offsets this if you want to snorkel a lot.

Very nice resort. Definitely a bigger resort feel (not boutique) but staff were very friendly. The sea was harder to swim in than other places (off a jetty) but you could do some good snorkelling. Breakfast was à la carte but was fantastic.

We really enjoyed our stay at the resort. The staff were very accommodating & it was nice that they had a couple of activities per day that were included in the price of the stay.

Unfortunately I was woken up at 5am every morning due to the prayer call being so loud. Even with ear plugs I was woken up. This is no fault of the resort. But I would suggest that they install insulation to the villa so that the noise is reduced.

Literally every detail is thought about. Even the tiniest of things. From the welcome to the departure. The bathroom is insane. The beds huge and super comfortable. A pillow menu. Fresh fruit daily, an amazing turn down service, choice of robes it goes on. The staff are incredible. Smiling, obliging, so helpful. Our ocean view private pool Villa whilst expensive was probably the best room I have ever stayed in. And I’m not lacking on good rooms. The room service is swift and exemplary. The food at breakfast whilst small is tasty and well presented, if it’s included in your room you can order as much or as little as you like. There is a reason this hotel group is regularly voted amongst the best in the world.

The food at dinner apart from our degustation on the beach was somewhat bellow par when compared to everything else they provided. But that maybe because we ate very late (post 9pm) not sure. But it could certainly be better.

This was our second visit to Tanjung ,the first having been to the nearby Tugu,but this time we wanted to know the Oberoi for staying the last week of April 2026. Upon arrival, we were assigned the wonderful Garden Pavilion No. 135. Although it was their entry-level room category, it was impeccable, spacious, and very comfortable, featuring a great king size bed, powerful air conditioning,a large bathroom with great shower and nice amenities, . Everything was built using high-quality materials and designed with great taste.The gardens......I have a large one at home that I tend to personally, so I really understand how much work it must be to maintain the property's vast grounds in such condition and I wanted to mention that. The à la carte breakfasts were excellent, offering numerous delicious and beautifully presented Western and Indonesian options. The service provided by the entire staff,both in the restaurants and throughout the hotel,was outstanding. Some staff members were initially concerned when we declined the beach towels offered daily or some house keeping as we did so for environmental reasons. They served as many young coconuts as you wanted while you were at the beach or the pool. The pool water was warm,just the way we like it,despite the occasional cloudy day. The beach wasn't very large, but it was more than adequate for a good swim, and there was a beautiful reef running along the shore that was easily accessible from a jetty. In short, there were so many details it would be hard to list them all; it was a wonderful stay, and we will certainly be back soon.

I liked everything, but if there is one thing to mention, it would be that I understand that you strive to provide the best service, but I believe you could achieve this while minimizing harm to nature by finding a way to use fewer towels at the beach.

I cannot describe how beautiful and amazing this hotel is. It is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in alot of hotels. The service was exceptional, the facilities unbelievable, the quality of food outstanding and the surroundings unbelievable!!! Truly divine !!

Absolutely nothing!

Oberoi's offer a particular standard of relaxation and luxury. While this one is not at the top of the list for indulgence, it is incredibly affordable and a true retreat. The facilities are well looked after, the gardens gorgeous, the beach small and clean, the staff attentive and the pool well set up. We LOVED out stay and will be dreaming of coming back soon.

Difgicult to eat outside the hotel

This hotel is AMAZING! The staff are friendly and always ready to assist. The food is delicious. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. You basically get half a villa for a ridiculously affordable price. They have various activities scheduled everyday from woodcarving to horseback riding to learning to play traditional instruments. They have their own private dock where you can learn to snorkel. Its also 15 minutes from the Gille islands so perfect for a day trip. I would definitely stay here again.

This may be a negative for some but not for me, the hotel is further north, away from the city where a lot of the shops and restaurants are located. It's also about a 2-hour drive from the airport or an hour drive to the main city from the hotel. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing get away with a smaller crowd and more exclusive feel, this is the place for you.

Staying at The Oberoi near Medana Bay was a beautiful experience. It is the perfect place to relax while staying close to where my sailboat is anchored. The infinity pool and the views over the sea are absolutely stunning, especially during sunset. I also enjoyed a wonderful spa treatment that left me feeling deeply relaxed after life at sea. The food was exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared every day. What made the experience truly special was the team. Everyone was so caring, warm, and personal. They made me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. The atmosphere of the resort is peaceful, elegant, and full of heartfelt hospitality. The hotel is fabulous. The extensive grounds overlooking the private beach are beautifully maintained. The hotel rooms are enormous and immaculate. The facilities, food and service are first rate. But what makes the hotel special are the staff who can't do enough for you. You will find it very difficult to find another hotel that matches the quality of this hotel. It is a real gem.

El lugar es muy lindo y tranquilo, ideal para descansar, y la atención del personal fue muy buena.

El restaurante es excesivamente caro, con precios muy elevados. Considerando que el hotel está en un lugar bastante alejado y no hay otras opciones cercanas para comer, se aprovechan de eso, lo que hace que la experiencia en ese aspecto no sea buena.

Unglaublich gastfreundliches, herzliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Leckeres Frühstück im Garten am Meer. Supergrosser Pool, auch das Schwimmen im Meer (bei hoher Tide) problemlos möglich. Grosse geschmackvolle Zimmer (Pavillon). Küche OK (entsprach nicht immer dem Niveau des Ressorts. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Preise im Restaurant (am Abend) sind für die gebotene Qualität zu hoch. Die Portionen sind gross - aber geschmacklich und von der Präsentation ist noch Luft nach oben

Das Hotel besticht durch seinen ausserordentlichen Service, die Freundlichkeit des Personal, die sehr gute Lage und ein eigenes Hausriff.

We loved our experience at the Oberoi Lombok! We also had an amazing cooking class with the Head Chef Mr. I Made Suwendra in which he taught us how to make three incredible Indonesian dishes from scratch plus dessert! We hope to return someday soon, and we will never forget the entire staff at the hotel. Thank you again to Made and all the staff at the Oberoi Lombok.

The quality of the accommodation and food at the Oberoi was exceptional. Its a long drive from the airport to the north of the island but the roads are smooth and the hotel transport was very good. I want to thank all the staff for making our visit so very personalised and a wonderful experience

We both lost our appetites throughout the week (probably change of water) and the food was Michelin class which made it really frustrating for us that we couldn't fully experience the full menu.

Celebrating a birthday and our wedding anniversary, we couldn't have chosen a better place for the occasion. The extremely high standard of service along with attention to detail was just so comforting and the beautiful room, the incredible location and the ambience of the hotel was just divine.

Location: amazing, we were in paradise. Atmosphere: perfect, a place where you can forget the rest of the world and just indulge yourself. Rooms: Beautiful, so nice you didn’t want to leave but you were surrounded by so much other beauty to enjoy you had to or you would have missed out.

If excellence had an address, it would be The Oberoi Beach Resort, Lombok. Our stay was originally planned for just three nights, but extending it was the easiest decision we made. This is not just a resort, it is an experience that makes you slow down, breathe deeper, and feel completely content. In fact, the property itself is so complete that you may not even feel compelled to step out to explore the Gili Islands. Right from the airport, the hospitality begins. The welcome at Lombok Airport is warm and effortless, followed by a perfectly arranged transfer. The car is equipped with Wi Fi, refreshments, water and fresh towels, and the drive feels less like a journey and more like a continuation of the holiday. The ninety minute ride passes comfortably, thanks to the gracious and soft spoken driver. The arrival at the resort is equally smooth. The check in process is efficient and personalized, handled by a reception team that embodies genuine warmth. There is no rush, no chaos, only calm professionalism. The rooms are expansive, beautifully maintained and thoughtfully appointed. Every detail feels intentional. Housekeeping operates with remarkable precision and care, keeping the space pristine at all times. The consistency in service truly sets this property apart. Dining here deserves its own praise. Breakfast is served à la carte with a comprehensive menu that caters to every preference. There is something intangible yet powerful about this resort that creates an immediate emotional connection. We leave with gratitude and the certainty that this will not be our last visit. Returning next year already feels like a promise to ourselves.

Can only endorse all the 5* reviews, this place is exceptional. Tricky to get to (nearly 2 hours from airport) but 100% worth it when you get there. Beautiful accommodation & public areas. Dinning & bar areas are a delight, whilst the pool & beach are truly exceptional. Shout-out to Sayo & Harry who kept us supplied with Bintang & Lombok Mules. Absolutely all the staff were first- class, so friendly & efficient; a credit to the Oberoi group. Oh, food is amazing too! And if you fancy a break from this tranquil paradise, book a trip & check out the island of Gili Air. Amazing snorkelling, but the island offers a selection of cool bars and a few shops. All-in-all, amazing place. Would love to go back 🤩

It was remote but we liked it.

This is our second visit to The Oberoi in as many years & it’s great to be back! The food is great & the wide range of choices available at both breakfast & dinner is staggering. Our room is spacious, the bed & pillows extremely comfortable, with great balcony & fully stocked bathroom. But the thing that makes this hotel special is the staff, everyone is so friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. A special mention to Harry who sorted sunbeds & drinks for us throughout the day & looked after us so well. Sita & Mustaffa who were so friendly & looked after us most evenings. The highlight for us was time spent at the spa, the gym is well stocked, tennis lessons were great fun & feel my game improved a little! Again a special mention to Lilli who my wife said was a fantastic masseur (she also had a pedicure & facial) by her. For me Ketuk gave me the best massages I have ever had - she was excellent. I would highly recommend a visit to the spa if you are lucky enough to stay here.

Oberoi is a wonderful resort for a family - secure, spacious, right on the beach. The food is great, especially if you like Indian food. The spa services are also wonderful. The resort offers many activities for the kids. We booked a boat ride for snorkelling at the Gili islands that was excellent. Highly recommend!

I would give this resort a 10/10 for service and food as well as the gorgeous ocean views from the property.. but our stay had sleepless nights due to loud prayers mostly all night and ear plugs did not help. And also the drive from airport to hotel is way too long about 2 hours each way.

I had a foot/leg massage in the Oberoi Spa.. the masseuse was KETUT… she was amazing!!! Best massage I’ve had in more than 30 years. Thank you Ketut. I feel completely refreshed after a long hike today.

Wow what a hotel, we had a pool villa which was amazing, we cannot find fault with this hotel, the staff where exceptional as was everything about this hotel, if it wasn’t so far away ( we are in the UK) we would come back annually.

The location is perfect for having a leisure day. There's a lot of activity that we can do provided by the hotel. The atmosphere here is just perfect. All the staffs here are very helpful and humble to assist. It's a quite day and night perfect for enjoying our lazy time no significant of noise. Rooms are amazing. Cleanliness is top-notch. Worth for value of money.

We stayed in a pool villa. The room was spacious, private, and designed with care. The pool and cabana setup felt special from day one. Service stood out at every touchpoint. Staff were attentive, warm, and consistent. Breakfast was the best I have had at a resort. Quality, variety, and calm setting. In room dining felt like a private restaurant experience under our own cabana. The grounds are vast and immaculate. Everything feels considered and serene. Activities are extensive. The beach and water conditions are ideal. Coral reefs sit just offshore and are easy to access. Snorkeling was memorable. This resort delivers on every detail. 10 out of 10.

Could not have wished for a better birthday weekend trip. Warm and welcoming professional staff, clean and luxurious villa, tranquil and pristine grounds, exquisite food at Lumbung Restaurant - compliments to the Chef! The spa treatments were utter bliss - left totally rejuvenated!

Please fix your generator so at least we can go the bathroom when it’s urgent other than that everything else was perfect

Amazing resort! Beautiful gardens, beach and pool, with excellent facilities. Staff are super kind, we hired a driver through the hotel who picked us up and later drove us via volcano and rice fields to our next stay. Outstanding restaurant every evening. Truly the best resort in North Lombok!

Simply exceptional in every manner. From the hospitality and cuisine to the immaculate grounds and overall ambience, every aspect of the experience was outstanding. This is a true retreat, offering pristine, beautifully maintained beaches complemented by excellent pool and beach service throughout the day. This was my second stay with Oberoi, following Marrakech, and it certainly did not disappoint. The level of consistency across properties is impressive. I also had the pleasure of a brief conversation with the General Manager, Tanmay, who was gracious, insightful, and generous with recommendations for future itineraries across the island and India. I very much look forward to returning. On to the Oberoi Seminyak next!
