room was clean, staff were helpful. Good parking
A lovely stay. Comfortable room, very friendly staff and a delicious, memorable steak pie in the restaurant. Thanks
Nothing
The studio was perfect..only complaint...the kettle leaked.....otherwise...highly recommend
The kettle leaking
Everything
It did what was required - a bed for the night
Big Government Contract in the main building ……. Occupation low when we were there but can be over 100. Paid rooms in the annex
Location and quiet
Nothing
Lots of carparking and free. Friendly and helpful service, outside area to relax, 24 hour bar area. Chef accommodating to make a snack. Rooms clean. Air conditioning unit provided. Good price as was a last minute booking. We could relax in the garden area after check out, before our journey. A good stay all round and convenient to get to.
Nothing to add
Easy to get to Plenty of parking Comfy bed Receptionist checked with housekeeping and we were able to check in an hour early
1 pack of biscuits between 2 people?!!
Very clean and friendly staff

Brilliant staff, room and location what can I say
Not a thing
Room, and bed were good. Breakfast was avearge.
The place is a little dated.
Personally think slightly underrated would not call it a three star maybe a four
Nothing
Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The reception staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was efficiently served and plenty of choice. It was lovely to be able to sit outside in the garden as well.
Hotel appeared to be housing asylum seekers as well as paying guests , no description of this arrangement prior to booking , not what was expected.
Close to Knebworth for events. Welwyn city centre nice. Breakfast good. Adequate free parking.
Aircon struggled a bit but it was extremely warm weather.
Very clean
The lack of meals on offer
Ev erything.
Stayed here while attending Iron Maiden’s Eddfest and had a fantastic experience. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, kindly allowing us to check in early at no extra charge, which really got our stay off to a great start. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Breakfast was cooked to order, and the scrambled eggs were some of the best I’ve had in a hotel. The hotel also has a fascinating history, having been associated with the 1966 World Cup and used as a base by various England football teams over the years, which was a nice bonus. Friendly service, comfortable accommodation, excellent breakfast, and a unique bit of sporting heritage. I’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.
Nothing.
Good location and very helpful staff
Nothing was great
Comfortable room- very spacious
Air conditioning was very noisy
Cheap and comfortable. Hot shower.
Location felt a little dodgy. No room service after 8pm so had to get a pizza delivered.
Our room was extremely comfortable and just what we needed after a difficult time.
Our room had a kitchenette, which was so useful and the bed was very comfortable.
Good service Good room size clean
some noise transmission between rooms hotel information out of date
Convenient location, easy check in, clean basic room. Excellent value.
Location and friendly staff
Aircon didn’t work. Toilet continually ran. Very dated.
Had a studio, very spacious, good to have a fridge in the room.
We used the hotel for visiting family nearby. We were happy with our room but didn't use any other facilities.
The hotel was in a residential area with very little nearby, although there was a pub at the end of the drive
Room was ok, but tired and dated.
Breakfast was poor quality, apart from the cooked breakfast which was fine.
room design
Pequeno almoço muito bom. Funcionários muito simpáticos. A localização é excelente.
We stayed for 12 days primarily in a renovated executive studio (Hurst) which was very comfortable. Spotlessly clean, roomy, plenty of cupboard space, comfortable bed. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. Great having meals available in elegant dining room setting which accessed a pretty garden. We liked the tradition of naming the rooms after the English team players from 1966 Football World Cup Final and memorabilia on display.
Nothing we didn’t like.
The room was a good size. The bed was so comfortable. The sheets and towels was so white and clean all in all a great room.
Nothing
I arrived at the hotel to find my room was in an annexe on the ground floor but on inspection none of the windows locked properly, I stayed for 5 minutes at the most left the premises did not stay the night as i did not feel safe and booked myself into the local Premier Inn. Would not recommend for single female travellers
Local to pub where we attended a 40th party.
There were a lot of people coming and going through the door at reception and signing in taking place.
Convenient location for our needs with ample parking. Comfortable and clean rooms and friendly staff.
Slightly expensive for one night
Easy to find, free parking, perfect location. Didn’t realise I had booked a suite, my own little kitchenette! Bed was comfy
The room was right next to the car park so there was a few car doors banging but nothing to keep me up
Very nice quiet room. It was spacious and exceptionally clean with a fridge, microwave and hob. Good location. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment but noticed that the price was reasonable. Good parking available.
Nothing.
The receptionist was friendly
This is a hotel with government contract to house asylum seeker. It looked nothing like the picture. Lots of random people walking around with food on paper plates. This should be made clear on their advert
I love the natural feel of the environment, the room and facilities are spacious and topnotch. The breakfast is very restricted-not many options like meat etc.
Breakfast
Location great .
Not made aware that it was a hotel for asylum seekers. Breakfast was not available even after 8am as no staff available had to source breakfast elsewhere where.
Brilliant hotel.Very quiet. Close to local pub & shops if you don't fancy the Hotel Bar all the time. If you need or want to leave your car there's a bus to Welwyn Garden Station ( 25 mins to Central London) a minutes walk from the Hotel or to Hertford. Beautiful park next to the hotel. Honestly can't fault the place.
Nothing
Clean, quite
Room and and bathroom were bright, spacious and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Freshly cooked breakfast was good.
Coffee
Comfortable, but could have had more teabags / milk etc
Staff below the room during their breaks, too short time for breakfast
I cancestaying long before the time expired, yet was charged by you not hapoy.
The cleanliness and friendly staff
The location. Also not keen on inter connecting doors but it was not a problem.
Clean and great staff
Staff were polite and friendly.
The room wasn't great and the room was booked for 2 people yet only had 1 towel in bathroom
Very good enjoyed my stay Comfortable bed .
Location
Convenient for my purpose
Nothing to dislike
Nice and close to my job. Nice clean and spacious room. Friendly polite staff
Nothing
It was all averagely ok nothing great nothing bad. It did give we provide temporary housing vibes very strongly. That maybe unfair but it was the vibe.
The receptionist took me to the room because it was in an out building and up some stairs. I had 3 bags and he didn't even offer to take one. Just felt even if I'd been a man he should have at least offered to help.
The room facilities were good. (Microwave, hob, hair dryer etc.) The room was also quite spacious.
The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The room was very warm, even with a cooling fan on. The staff weren't unpleasant but weren't "at the desk" when we came to check in or out- they were in a back room on a personal phone call. The breakfast was lacklustre at best and overpriced.
I booked this for someone else but rather than receive repeated requests for feedback I decided to tick some boxes for you.
Good location Kitchenette was good Good power in the shower Nice biscuits!
Dripping tap which they will fix Tv aerial socket was lose & kept falling out I liked these quirks though
Heating worked well and bed very comfortable. Dinner was good as was breakfast the following morning. staff very attenuative
The hotel is clearly a refugee centre for migrants and large number of men were loitering in the ground. Parts of the hotel are out of bounds and lone female travellers would feel uncomfortable.
A nice quiet location outside of the centre
No complaints - everything was good
The room was well equipped and comfortable.
Well when arriving on the evening there were a lot of foreign people outside the entrance of the hotel smoking with more looking out of the hotel room windows. It was later noted that the main hotel is full with long term occupancy of asylum seekers. In view of this the only rooms for general sale are the annex and outside entrance rooms. I would imagine this place would be very intimidating for long ladies visiting these premises. The carpark is relatively small and appears to share access with local estate.
Glasses was ice cold for magners
Food was all extremely oily and unedable. There was people being housed for the government made me on edge given funny looks. Security worrying about drones flying over head. Think saw 3 members of staff from my arrival when i left had to visit reception for a drink as they was the bar staff
Hotel is taken up by migrants so makes it hard to book a room when you want as there's minimum space available
Nothing at all
Check in was poor, but I felt incredubly intimidated by the number of asylum seekers/ refugees in the building and being stared at. It was highly uncomfortable. Hotel is very isolated in a housing estate and a long walk in to town. Avoid at all costs
Nothing.
No mention of the government housing migrants there. Only found out when we arrived, didn’t feel safe when we arrived so we had to cancel our night away then drive home. Very upset with booking.com and best western.
Convenient, spacious, warm
Bed could have been bigger
We were visiting family for New Year’s who live near by so the location was perfect for us
Location to our family and. Staff very helpful
Nothing
Very comfy and everything we needed. Great parking too!
Nothing
Ideal for a 1 night stay, great location for a wedding we was attending.

The shower was just great, powerful and hot.
Nothing stood out as awful but I only stayed 1 night.
Everything was as you would like it to be. Querky but honest definitely odd Don't condemn it give it a chance.
The prat in a another room who set the alarms off with a cigarette in the night !!!!!
The basics were ok
Meals offered were basic
We stayed at this hotel for one night, but unfortunately our experience at arrival was uncomfortable. When we arrived at reception, there were no staff present. There was only a phone with a note asking guests to call for assistance, but my husband and I are deaf, so this was not accessible for us. There was also no bell or alternative way to get help. We waited at reception for around 15 minutes, but no one came. I then looked around to find a member of staff and went behind a screen, where I encountered a security guard. He appeared panicked and told me to go back to reception and wait. Behind the screen, I realised there were many immigration guests staying at the hotel along with security staff. This situation made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable, and it felt as though our needs as paying guests were not a priority. The lack of accessible communication at reception was particularly disappointing. I hope the hotel can improve staff availability at reception and provide accessible options for deaf guests in the future.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
